Ditributing Reports via e-mail

Following various Oracle Documents and Tutorials I have created some reports and have now been trying to get them distributed via e-mail.
I can display them to screen as web pages but am having problems with mail.
I have Oracle 9iAS 9.0.2.3 (incl BI / Reports / Forms and Oracle 9iDS) I have created reports as JSP's - then
I found a note that said you cannot mail jsp's:
1: Is this correct?
2: How to get around it - is it just a case of saving the report in some other format.
Any help appreciated sorry very new to this area of Oracle!

Does the JSP report contain "Paper Layout" ? Then it should be possible to distribute it (just like a RDF format report).
(If the report contains only "Web layout" it would not be possible. A report containing only web layout can only be run in a J2EE container (IAS) to produce only html. (It is based on JSP standard).
Note that a JSP report can contain both Paper Layout/Web Layout and if it contains Paper Layout it will be possible to run it to various formats (pdf, rtf, htmlcss etc) and also distribute it.
(What the Note you read probably meant is that for JSP report with only Web Layout in them.)

Send Daily Reports via E-mail from MARS

I want to know if the MARS can send via email daily reports to a specific account.

well, you could start by logging into the MARS CLI as pnadmin. Use tcpdump to monitor the SMTP traffic.
[pnadmin]$ tcpdump -X port 25
Now select the report and click "resubmit". You should see the SMTP traffic to the mail server. You can probably troubleshoot by looking at the ASCII output from tcpdump. If not, look at the tcpdump output and at least make sure the connection is to the right IP address and that some data is exchanged after the initial TCP handshake. Now take a look at the mail server logs, which should give you an idea of what to do next.

Sending report output via E-mail (excel pivoted format)

Hi all,
i have a written a report where i need to send the report output to somebody via
E-mail.i am sending this report output via E-mail successfully.The receiver receives, my output in excel format.but this excel is not <b>pivoted</b>.
i want , the receiver should get my output in pivoted excel format.i.e my output data should be exactly fit in the excel sheet.
now the columns in excel sheet are overlapping.once i double clicked, the columns are getting separated.i do not want to double click.i want all the columns should come properly i.e excel field length should be adjusted as per the output field length.
i am giving my coding below.plz suggest how i can do the above thing .it's urgent.

I am working with BIP 10.1.3.4 over Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, and I would like to send a report via mail.
I added one Email server navigation via Admin>Delivery Configuration > Email with the server name and host.
Then Send report via Email, got error.

Hi Christian.
You could put the lines of your list in a table of type SOLISTI1 and then use the function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send the content of this table. You have to fill the table RECEIVERS with the address you want to send the report to.

HRC supports only export to file or printer. As far as I'm aware you would need CUIC (i.e. UCCX9.0) to SMTP the reports.

Crm via e-mail toolset

Hi,
Currently we are implementing crm & adobe interactive form integration scenario. What we are expecting; when user presses submit via e-mail button on the form, the xml file which is attached to e-mail has to be processed by CRM. We have read presentations and guides about crm via e-mail toolset and done all the customizing.
What is missing for us when we send this xml file to crm inbound processing what should be triggered at CRM side? All the E2C configuration is done.
We also configured inbound processing so50 and set as exit name CL_FP_INBOUND_HANDLER. But in this case system expects from us pdf file not xml as shown in presentations of SAP.

Well, let me go into more detail. The twitter e-mail said "did you see this tweet about you?" and provided a bitly. I copied and pasted the bitly addy in my browser and up popped a "twitter" log-in site, asking for mt twitter ID and password. I noticed two odd things about the site: the web addy had a "http" instead of a "https" and the twitter bird icon looked off. I never logged on and reported the phishing to Twitter.
I'm pretty sure it was a phishing site, but I'm just worried a hacker might have somehow got into my Mac. I know it's an Apple computer and there haven't been any real problems with attacks on OS systems. Still, I somewhat concerned.

If it will be a scheduled report, you can create a batch file to run report with reqd parameters and generate it's pdf in a oracle directory.
Then schedule the batch file on oracle database pc, (thru task scheduler if OS is windows),
Then a email procedure will be required which will pick up the pdf from oracle directory, attach it and send mail.
Even the email procedure can be scheduled thru oracle job, but the OS batch schedule time and Oracle Job time should be handled as some gap will be needed between the two.
As for the email smtp procedure with attachments, you can find one in this forum or try googling it.

This is the class for a JCP I created to perform the following:
1) Launch an existing Concurrent Program that produces PDF output
2) Grab the PDF and apply a watermark based on user input or conditions
3) associate the modified PDF to CP output for PASTA printing
It isn't elegant but it is fairly simple. I added the email capability and tested it but am not implementing it at the present time.
there is a fair amount of information out there that explains how to create a JCP councurrent program but very little that demonstrates the class needed.

reports6i sends mails where the Report itself is attached as a file in the format you specified. The support for sending a report as part of the HTML mail body is provided in Reports9i.

Hi Zahid
From Forms 6.0, you need to call Reports using standard SRW.Run_Product call. Please refer to the product document for other SRw calls which can be used for Forms/Reports integration. In this SRW call, you need to sent the runtime argument to Reports. In your case, write a pl/sql code which would set the destype=mail, desformat=html and desname set to the email address for reciever which you would be fetching from DB in Forms application. And then send these arguments in the SRW call to run the Reports.

Why i can't share my documents via e-mail?

I click on share, then via e-mail and then you can chose between numbers, excel and PDF but after doing all this, the mail window doesn't open anymore, before was good but it just stoped working.

In theory, slash or colon were not allowed in filenames.
For years, the operating system did its best to behave correctly with them.
It seems that, at last, Apple decided that the rule must apply and we see examples of tools failing when the rule isn't applied.
I remember that some years ago we had the same kind of problems with filename embedding the character # which is legal.
During 11 days I fought against the Bug Reporter Web site which failed when I tried to file a reporet with an attachment.
At last, I discovered that the wrongdoer was the character à which is embedded in the screenshot's name created on French system (Capture d’écran 2011-10-05 à 12:34:56)
So, if you have items whose name embed the forbidden chars, the answer is simple : hurry up, rename them.

Can't connect to Office 365 mail account via Apple Mail (Exchange)

I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite, but had this problem before upgrading as well. I have an Office 365 mail account, but cannot sync it via Apple Mail. I went into my Apple Mail accounts and tried connecting my Office 365 account through the Exchange option, but it will not connect. From my knowledge, this is not an uncommon problem but it is very inconvenient. Is there any way to get around the glitch, or anything I should be doing differently? I do know a couple people with Office 365 accounts who have been able to make it work, but they apparently did not do anything differently when setting up their account.

Sometimes this issue is caused by a misconfiguration or incompatibility of the Exchange server, or perhaps by a bug in Mail. If so, you won't be able to resolve it yourself. The fact that your iOS devices may be working well with the same account isn't relevant, because iOS uses a completely different protocol (ActiveSync) to communicate with Exchange servers. By default, OS X Mail uses the EWS protocol.
Each of the following steps has been reported to help with Exchange issues, at least temporarily, in some cases:
1. Back up all data. Open the Internet Accounts pane in System Preferences and check to make sure you don't have duplicate Exchange accounts. If you do, delete all but one of the duplicates. If there are no duplicates, delete the account and recreate it with the same settings.
2. Rebuild the affected mailbox.
3. Reindex messages.
4. Follow the instructions in this support article to disable autodiscovery. You may need to get configuration details from the server administrator.
5. In the Keychain Access application, delete the password item for the account. The next time Mail tries to access the account, you'll be prompted for the password. Check the box to save it in the Keychain.
6. If you've created subfolders of the Exchange inbox, log in to the server through its web interface, move the messages out, and remove the subfolders. The inbox should have no subfolders.
7. Synchronize with the server using IMAP rather than EWS. This is only possible if IMAP is enabled on the server.
8. Consider using Outlook instead of Mail to access your Exchange mail.

You're suffering from two common misconceptions.
