DMS document attachment to Service Entry sheet

Hi All,
One requirement, need to attach DMS document with Service entry sheet (t-code ML81N), any possibilites with object linking as in standard there is no object linking (ESSR object) available.
Thank You,
Manoj

hi,
1. I think u could use services for objects is the best way to fulfil requirement.
note: a. If u want to use ESSR as business document. u need to go for Archive linking and store document as business
              document in Services for objects.
2. If u going to use standard object linking from DMS for 'ESSR' object so for not exist.
Note:reason is not required any DMS object linking here as i guess. Coz u will be creating Entry sheet agianst Purchase
            orders and vendors too.
IN PLM, u can maintain DIR in purchase order or u can maintain in vendor masters. any how u r filling WBS nor also in
             basic data sheeet of ML81N.
So datacan be easily tracable due to all are interconnected each other.
3. If u want to use ESSR as object link from DMS u need go for development. but this is not required as i guess.

  • How do you reverse a goods receipt document of a service entry sheet?

    Hi SAP experts,
How do you reverse a goods receipt document of a service entry sheet? Your help/opinions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

You can sue the ML81N itself to delete the service entry sheet and once you will delete the SES, system will generate the Material document for reversal of GR.
Go to ML81N and enter the service number and change the screen to change mode.
If release statergy is used for this then cancel the release using the same statergy.
Click Revoke acceptance button or Ctrl + F2.

  • Link between Service Entry Sheet and Material Document

    Hi
I am busy with developing a report where i am required to find the link between the Material Document and Service Entry Sheet.
I am aware that on the Purchase Order Data tab of the Material Document has the service entry sheet number and line item.  However the problem I have picked up here is in the event I create a Service Entry Sheet  with a service in line 1 and for some reason Delete that Line and then capture the service again, it is saved in table ESLL as line 2.  This is correct.  However when I have a look at the material document, it references it as line 1 of the service entry.  Is there any way to get this in sync?
    Thanks
    Vinesh

    Thanks
This table does show the service entry sheet number and line item however the line item does not correspond with the line item on the service entry sheet.
    Eg.
I create a service entry sheet where I capture a service in line 1.
    I delete Line 1
    I recapture on line 2.
    Post Service Entry
The Material Doc reference document is the service entry however the line item for the reference is 1.
I need to try and link the line items
    Thanks

  • How to block WBS or Network element field in Service Entry Sheet ML81n

    Hi Guru
Would like to seek your advise on the following query.
We use Service master to trigger Purchase Order Service related (Item category = D; AAC = P).
Then, user will use T\code ML81n to create service entry sheet by reference to Purchase Order and service master document. During Service entry sheet creation, usually WBS element or Network element field will be populated automatically based on the information from Purchase Order.
However, user could overwrite the WBS element or Network element in service entry sheet. Thus, it creates discrepency WBS\Network element between PO and Entry Sheet.
    1. Is there any way we could retrieve Service entry sheet not to allow user to update the WBS\network element field?
    2. What will be the impact if we block the field from user.
    Please advise

    Hi Rag
    Thanks for your reply.
When I trace the service master, there is no specify field to input WBS element.
Also, I have checked the service master entered by user, it seems that only the following fields are filled:-
    Service Category
    BuoM
    Mat\Service Group
    Valuation class
The rest of field are remained as blank as it might due to multiple WBS element shared 1 same service master
Please advise how I should block the WBS element from service entry to prevent overwriting.
    Thanks

  • Linking DMS DIR to Service entry sheet

    Hello Experts,
I need to link DMS DIR to Servise entry sheet(ML81N). As there is no standard SAP object(ESSR) I need to achieve this by Development.
I found out the procedure for development as below which I could not understand properly.
Object links to other SAP objects
You can make an object link to SAP objects that are not shown in the possible entries list. To do this, proceed as follows:
In the standard system, there are already two special screens for the module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140 for the linked SAP object.
You must create two new screens with the same number for the module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140 .
The processing logic must follow that of screen 1204 in program SAPLVC130.
Create function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = object name)
If the object can be classified, this function module already exists .
Otherwise copy the function module for linking equipment DOCUMENT_CHECK_EQUI and change it as required for the new object.
Please explain step by step procedure for achieving  this development.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

I created the object link as OBJECT_CHECK_ESSR for service entry sheet but problem is that how it will come in the cross application>document managemnet> define document type> define object link > new entry(in the list) ? .
ie how to attach the new created object link to doc type(DIR) .

  • Attachment to the Service Entry Sheet

    Hi experts,
Is there any procedure to attach any required document (scanned copy / word / excel sheet etc) to the Service Entry Sheet.
    Please help.
    Mohan

    Hi,
You use transaction ML81N to call a service entry sheet. You can use the
menu option 'System -> Services for Object -> Create attachment. Through Attachment list' you can access
the attached documents (for example, scanned documents). You can
double-click these attachments to open them.
The user must have appropriate authorization.

  • How to update sales order number (KAUFN) characteristic in the profitability segment of the PA document created at the time of service entry sheet confirmation, as a result of shipment cost document

    Hi,
We have a scenario wherein we create shipment cost documents against delivery. As a result of shipments fully transferred, a PO for freight vendor is automatically created and a service entry sheet confirmation happens. As a result of service entry sheet confirmation, we have Financial accounting, Controlling and profitability analysis documents created. We have a requirement wherein we need to have the characteristic “sales order number (KAUFN)” populated in the profitability analysis document created as a result of service entry sheet confirmation.
Could someone please advice how could this be attained in COPA. Thanks for your help in advance.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Hi Ajay,
Thank you for the quick update.
The document is updated to COPA through OKB9 settings. The profitability segment is updated with fields like customer, product, company code, plant, sales area data, profit center, etc; however the sales order number is missing.
Could you please elaborate further how could FI substitution be implemented to call for the FM COPA_PROFITABILITY_SEGMENT through user exit? Are you recommending the substitution through GGB1? What could be the possible validation to call for the user exit to be implemented?

  • Revoke of Service Entry Sheet and hence cancellation of Material document

Suppose one Service entry sheet you created once you accept Service entry sheet it will create a material document once you revoke the service entry sheet it will create a reversal material document. which table and field we find the relationship in original Material document created against SES and canceled material document against revoke of SES.

    Hello,
in table MSEG youo can enter with Purchase Order number (EBELN)  and Purchase order item (EBELP): this way you will have all the material documents created for that PO, both for the acceptance and the reversal of the entry sheet. You can use the Reference document (field LFBNR) to see the link between acceptance and reversal of the entry sheet. On top of that, you can use fields "Movement type" (BWART) and "Debit/Credit Indicator" (SHKZG) to distinguish acceptance and reversal of the entry sheet for the same PO item.
    Hope to be useful.
    Best regards,
    Andrea

  • Short text of service entry sheet in accounting document

    Hi All
I want shor text (ESSR - TXZ01) of service entry sheet to get populated in the text field(BSEG - SGTXT) of corresponding accounting document of service entry sheet created against GR document.
Please suggest how  can I achieve the same.Is there any SAP note for the same?
    Regards
    Satish Kumar
Edited by: satish kumar on May 28, 2010 3:33 PM

    Hi Satish,
BSEG - SGTXT gets the values from MSEG-SGTXT (material document after SES acceptance).
The service entry sheet header text is only copied into MSEG-SGTXT if
you do NOT use Srv-Based Invoice Verification:  the field EKPO-LEBRE
in the PO item is NOT checked.
Otherwise the text from the service lines will be overtaken into   MSEG-SGTXT.
    Please make tests.

  • Shipment Document, No Purchase Order & Service Entry Sheet generated

    Hi Everyone
We have transportation & shipment module configured in our company.
We are running this process from the last 3 years without any problems whatsoever.
But suddenly from the past 1 month we are facing a very serious issue while saving shipment cost document, i.e *no purchase* *order and service entry sheet* is generated on saving the service entry sheet.
A purchase order and a service entry sheet is generated automatically whenever a shipment cost document is saved. All the congifurations & customisations are correctly done as per sap standards and no request have been moved to production which will disturb the above process.
I have scanned the almost all sdn.sap queries for solutions and have incorporated all the suggestions which will help to solve this issue.
But still the problem persists, i.e still no purchase order & service entry sheet is generated automatically after saving the shipment cost document.
All the settings mentioned below are checked thoroughly.
    -- assign puachaging data
    --maintain acc. assignment cat.
    --automatic G/L acc. determination
    --automatic determination of CO assignments
Check the following prerequisites for shipment cost processing has maintained or not
-Shipment must marked as relevant for shipment cost
-Shipment must have the required total status set in shipment cost type
-Shipment must have transportation status planned
    -Shipment must have service agent
-Maintainiing and assign shipment pricing procedure to shipement cost
    -Maintaining condition records,
Please suggest some solutions to the above issue.
    Thanks & regards

    Hi Sumit
    Thanks for responding
In tcode t_56 generate PO is "C", I.e generate po for a validity of 1 month, the item category settings are the same since as before.
But for some reason the system is not generating any purchase order from the past month.
The error message is shown below.
No purchase order item was generated for shipment cost item 0000014950 000001
    Message no. VY633
    Diagnosis
You have marked the shipment cost item for transmission to the finanacial accounting department. For this transaction, you need an order item. The system has attempted to create an order item, but has not succeeded in doing so.
    System Response
Transmission of data to financial accounting without a valid order item is not possible. For this reason, all items that you have marked for transmission are reset.
    Procedure
The log displays further information as to why the system could not create an order, although all the settings in Customizing were configured. You can also create an order manually that corresonds to the shipment cost item and then transmit this again.
    Thanks

  • Service entry sheet quantities and UOM not flowing into accounting document

    Hi All,
I have a problem at the moment where the quantities and unit of measure entered in a service entry sheet, are being changed to '1 ACT' for all line items in the accounting document. We would like the real quant /UOM to be transferred here. We have tried using BADI AC_DOCUMENT_QUANTITY_GET but this is only affecting the first line item, and the rest are still 1 ACT.
    Any help would be great!

  • Service Entry Sheet Short text in GR accounting document

    Hi All,
Once we Accept the Service Entry sheet then a material document will be created in background. What ever text we are assigning in SHORT TEXT (ESLL - KTEXT1) will automatically appearing in Material document in "WHERE" tab TEXT field.
I think this is a standard functionality in ECC 6.0.
Whereas in previous versions the short text in the ESSR - TXZ01 field will appear in material document.
We are using ECC 6.0 but the text is not appearing in GR.. Hence please advice what are the things to check to resolve the same?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
there was no new development in the release 600 in this concern.
In case of service based inv. verif. (EKPO-LEBRE) used in the PO item  the short text of the service item (ESLL-KTEXT1) should appear in the material document.
If this indicator (EKPO-LEBRE) is not set then the text from SES
header (ESSR-TXZ01) is transferred to all GR document items and
    FI document items.
In the case when in the PO item  EKPO-LEBRE is NOT set so the text from the entry sheet header should be transfered into the material document.

  • Service Entry sheet Creation for Shipment cost Document

    Dear All,
While creating a shipment cost document .A service PO is getting generated in the back ground based on which a service entry sheet is created and LIV is made. But in the configuration we are mapping the Transportation planning point to Purchase organisation alone.
Can some one let me know whether the generation of PO in the back ground for a shipment cost document in the back ground is a standard SAP feature if so can you tell me the configuration steps.
    Regards,
    K.Vivek

    Hi,
Creation of Service PO in shipment cost document is based on the following SPRO setting or T-code.
    T code : T_56.
SPRO > LE > Transportation > shipment cost Document > Shipment cost types and item categoires.
Get into the details of item categoires, you can see the indicator Generate PO.
    hope this helps.

  • Service entry sheet reversal document (Status: Error in process) List repor

    Hi,
I have a requirement, to have or develop report which gives service entry sheet reversal documents (Status: Error in process),
while investigation i found below options (not exactly meeting my requirement)
    1) Display and Process Confirmations Centrally >Document Category>reverse documents
which giving all reversed document list (need only error list) and it is giving only my puchasign group list (need all purchasing group list)
    2) I can execute PPB_PD with BUS2203>status>I1019
is there any way/possible option that i can execute a report of reversal service entry sheets which ststus :error in process"
    Thanks,
    Jai

    Hi Christian,
    Thanks for your reply.
But this is what has happened. No the SES was not deleted in ECC before the confirmation was deleted in SRM. Our users don't have access to ECC T-codes.
Also I have checked the time at which the cancellation was created and everything is in sync.
How can i change the status of SES from 'Error in process' to 'posted in backend'?
    Please advise
    Thanks

  • How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item

    Dear Experts:
could you please share with me the knowledge for below topic:
How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item, because these three objects use three different pricing procedures, and different condition type.
how did the condition type of service entry sheet know to copy the value of whcih condition type in the pricing procedure of shipment cost document?
Is this SAP standard function OR there need an enhancement to do that?
I didn’t find related condition value copy setting in background, could you please share related setting with me? Thank you very much for your kind help!
    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi, Gopi,
Glad to see your feedback, but i still have question on your feedback:
which condition type in the pricing procedure of service entry sheet should know to capture the net value of shipment cost doc? becasue there are so many condition types,
And i have checked the corresponding condition type (PRSX) of service entry sheet pricing procedure in my SAP system, this is a self-defined condition type, but NO any calculation routine maintained for the condition type (PRSX), how did the condition type (PRSX) know to copy the total cost of shipment cost document?
Below is the example and another question:
what the relationship between the pricing procedures at service PO item level and service line item level?
    1. The freight cost in shipment cost document—including used condition type and pricing procedure
The pricing procedure of shipment cost document
    2. The freight cost in service entry sheet—including used condition type and pricing procedure
The pricing procedure of service entry sheet--the pricing procedure at service line item level
    3. The freight cost in service PO item—including used condition type and pricing procedure:
