Do Customized EQ Settings In I-tunes Transfer to the I-pod?

Does Anyone know if Custom EQ settins created by the user in I-Tunes is supposed to transfer to the I-pod when it is synced? It does not seem to work, because they don't show up in the EQ presets list on the I-Pod.

You, my friend, are a life saver!!! I had the same problem today and I was freaking out. I was watching a video and went back to the menu and that's when it froze. None of the buttons would do anything. It sat like that with the backlight on for about three hours so the battery is just about drained now. I never knew about the Menu and Select button reset method until now.

I tunes closes when the I Pod is connected

Hi, I can run i Tunes software but when I connect the i Pod, the i Tunes software says it has to shutdown. I have reloaded i Tunes software. the error message says
iTunes has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
No further information is presented. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you clicking the close X on the title bar?
Using that close X will close that browser window.
Does it also happen if you use File > Close Tab (Ctrl+W) or middle-click the tab on the tab bar ?

Custom Equalizer settings lost

Guys,
I had designed custom equalizer settings for my "tunes" to match my hearing loss. I believe somewhere in updating my iTunes application they were lost. They no longer appear in the selection window of the equalizer. Any body know how to get them back? iTunes v10.1.2. Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem. A number of my older files seem to have kept their custom settings, but not newer ones. I think it may have something to do with the EQ.plist file in the preferences folder in my library.
Does anyone know what the best way of resetting that file is and whether that will fix the problem?

Cannot set custom print settings using mg6220

Have just purchased a new iMac running 10.8.2 and Canon MG 6220. Can print, but am not able to set custom print settings and see disclosure triangle in the Print Dialogue Window that I would click on to get to this option. The instructions and illustrations in the manual are not the same as what I am seeing in my print window.

Then I think you have selected the AirPrint driver rather than the MG6200 Series driver.
So what you can do is open Print & Scan, select the current MG6220 in the Printers list and press the minus button to remove it. Then click on the plus button next to the minus button to add but if a little sub-menu window appears showing the MG6220 under the heading of Nearby Printers, as shown below with my MP990, do not select this.
Instead, select the menu item that says Add Printer or Scanner. This will make the Default Add printer view appear. Here you should see the MG6220. Select it and if the Use menu shows AirPrint, click on this menu and select Canon MG6200 Series. Then click Add to complete. This should now give you the same Quality & Media menu that I have shown above.

Custom Picture Settings for Insignia 42" NS-L42Q-10A

Does anyone wish to share their custom picture settings (contrast, brightness etc.) for the Insignia 42" NS-L42Q-10A? The vivid default is to bright, so I have been trying to come up with a custom setting and would like to hear what has worked for other owners.

Well, it turns out that I neglected to include a critical piece of info in my post. This behavior was occuring when using my Harmony 550 remote with the Insignia TV.
I tested the behavior with the remote that came with the TV and the settings were saved. So I went to change the settings on my Harmony remote when I discovered Logictech had a software update that included the Insignia TV. Installing that update fixed the issue.
And in case anyone else reads this, I am very pleased with this television set. I had to learn a few things about HDTV first though to get everything out of it that it offers.

Zen V Custom EQ Settings Prob

Has anybody else experienced this:?Go into your Custom EQ settings, adjust them accordingly, click on the "Tick" to ok those settings, and it's sounds no different. Go back into the Custom EQ Settings page, then hit the back button, and the settings are applied and the sound changes. It seems the settings only activate if you adjust them, ok it, go out and go back in, hitting back to get out instead. It's very annoying having to go in and out this way, as when you've adjusted the settings you want to hear the difference straight away. Why doesn't it adjust the sound as YOU adjust the EQ Bars?Any ideas? (Software bug!)?Woody

Transfer custom print settings to mountain lion

Hi,
I have previously transferred .plist files from one computer to another in order to transfer or preserve custom print settings (I have lots). However, when I tried this from a Lion machine to a Mountain Lion machine, it did not work. Examining the .plist file suggests there are some differences, particularly at the end of the file. Does anyone have any insight on what I want to do before I get my hands dirty trying to hack the file myself?

Will we have Custom EQ settings in Feb?

Now I'm no developer and know little in the way of programming limitations etc but I am wondering if there is a chance that once the SDK is released in Feb we might see an improved feature on the iPod and iPhone.
Does anyone know if it would be theoretically possible to set up the iPod touch and iPhone to sync custom EQ settings from iTunes? I can't figure out if this would rely on a change to iTunes or the device itself or both. I'm not asking you to predict if anyone will do it, just whether it is likely to be possible.
If it is possible, do any of you geniuses know someone who would be interested in doing it, and in turn make me a very happy man? Heck, I'll pay them to do it!!

Speaking of killing someone, don't mean to push you over the edge by bringing this up again Ansuz82 but I noticed a similar thread about does the iPhone transfer presets or not. I got a bit lost but just wanted to check if I were getting it.
It seemed there were two variables.
Whether custom EQ's transfer over if added to the song in iTunes or whether it only worked for the pre-programmed EQ's (stock EQ's?)
Whether you could hear the difference through the headphone jack or only the line out.
If I got it correctly I understood that pre-programmed EQ's assigned to a tune in iTunes will transfer across and can be heard through either line out or headphone jack. iPhone EQ needs to be set to "FLAT" to hear this correctly though.
But, Custom EQ's assigned to a tune in iTunes will not copy across so listening to such a tune with EQ set to "OFF" or "FLAT" makes no difference.
Is this a correct summary?... if you can remember?

Transfering custom EQ settings to iPod?

Hello!
I have a great Equalizer setting on my Mac that I would love to transfer to my iPod - it works well for my small earbuds (not the default Apple earbuds) in loud places. However, the iPod (still!) won't support custom settings!
I know one work around:
1. make a custom setting
2. Save it as a preset - overwrite the default. Say, save it as "Rock", and overwrite the included version. It works, but it's a hassle, and I don't want to lose the ability to use that EQ on iPod. (I can/have saved the original as "Rock original" or similar)
There's one other thing I know: If you view hidden folders, you can see the iPod Control folder inside the iPod after enabling disk mode. I need to figure out how I was able to view hidden folders before, of course. (Meh, bad memory). Inside this folder is an EQ folder, full of presets. This is obviously where the iPod looks for it's EQ settings. If I knew how to convert an iTunes EQ to the iPod-readable format, I could copy it in - and see if it worked. Does anyone know anything about this method?
So, the question is: How can I get a custom setting into iPod? Yes, I know the iPod won't do it by default. Yes, I know you can follow method 1 above. But is there a setting/script/application out there that can enable this?

Download custom equalizer settings to ipod?

How can you download custom equalizer settings cereated in iTunes to the iPod?
I created custom equalizer settings and assigned those settings to several songs. iTunes plays the songs with the correct equalizer setting on my computer. But when I download to the iPod, only the preset equalizer settings are available in the menu. I need custom settings to compensate for the earphone frequency response and none of the preset settings even comes close to what is needed.

Not a difficult thing to do I would think... have some of the Apple techies update iTunes to export custom equalizer settings to the iPod. Would be a nice touch.

Well, I use a custom equalizer setting on iTunes, and I was wondering if I could import it to my iTouch (3rd Gen, iOS4). Syncing it does not add my custom equalizer setting it to the lists, and I cannot find out how to mess with the equalizer settings on my iTouch. Any help would be loved! <3

the old apps are on my computer but they have had upgrades since they were put on the ipod originally. you think you would get a warning about this when you restored. I was not worried about losing the progress of the apps but i would have been worried about the app it self!!!!!
