Document attachment to BOM and has to be viewed in Production Order too.

Can any body give the detailed procedure for attachment of Drawing Doc to BOM and it should be viewed
in Production Order, the idea is before production it should be viewed.

Dear MDSFR,
I'm not sure whether the system will disply the document directly in the production order,but you can check the list of
documents in the production order in the document overview and assuming the documents are created with a proper document
type and attached in the BOM of the product(production order header material) as document items with category "D".

Yes, that is exactly it. The requirement is for mass downloading all the original drawings linked to all the components of a BOM to a local drive or to an ftp site.
One possible way , i thought of, could be to use a program DMS_RELOCATE_CONTENT which as I understand relocates all the originals realated to a list of DIRs to another location. Of course, this means that we need compile a list of components related to a BOM using CS12 or similar program and get a list of parts that has drawing attached to it. Subsequently, use this list to compile DMS_RELOCATE_CONTENT. Not sure, if this is a correct way or if there is any other simple way of achieving this.

My Pro Tools program was damaged by the Creative Cloud system.

1.Check what selection ID is maintained in OPPQ for the plant for BOM selection.
2.For this selection ID set the first priority to Engg BOM for BOM usage - 2 in OS31.
Check with this and revert back.

ATP check and Check against planning for a production order
Hi
When I create a production order for some orders it is ATP check and for some orders it is showing 2 in type avail check is check against planning in coois screen. Because of this orders are gettign released even though BOM material is out of stock.Can I know in which situations the orders will come under the second scenario. I always want the orders should be in ATP check

If you want only ATP check, then in MRP-3 view of the mtl master change the checking group to the same value as the one which you find to be following the ATP check.
However before making this change do consult your colleagues in other domains, as this will impact all places where Av. check is done.

Not able to see material and operation overview as tab in production order

While creating the production order by T.C CO01, after giving the material code , production plant and order type, system took me inside it.There i am not able to see component overview, operation overview as tab.Whereas in menu option Goto - overview - component , i can see there.But i want this things as tab in screen where we give qty and dates.
So guys do you know where to do configuration for it.

In Production Order you will find Component and Operation screen under two different icons (not tab) production Header screen.
- For Component Overview it is something like Balance or on pressing F6 you will branch to Component overview Screen.You will find it just after Hat icon
- And for Operation over view it looks like ladder or on pressing F5 you will branch directly to operation screen.you will find this icon just after Component overview Icon. -
Target cost and actual cost not picking in production order

The target cost and actual cost is not updating in production order when I display it in CO03 in cost analysis.
Even though we have maintained planned price in KP26.
Please suggest how it can be populated.

For Target cost
1. Your std cost must be released before Goods Receipt
2. There must be goods receipt posted on the prod order
3. You must calculate variances in KKS1/2
For Actual Cost
1. Post Goods receipt and Goods issues
2. See if any mat movements are pending in COGI
3. Ensure that operation is confirmed in PP and no entry is lying in COFC

Condition type,access sequence, strategy type,
Work on automatic batch determination. Assign standard search procedure to order type dependent parameter, check against manual entry.
Make sort sequence for material by CU 70, tick ascending order, Then assign component in COB1, enter selection values and sort sequence. In finish product material master set automatic batch determination.
System will copy the required material with batch & storage location, also check against manual entry.
I think it will solve your problem.

How to find document attached to user and Company code?

Requirement: Select a list of Business documents ( Sales order/PO....) created or changed by <b>specific users</b> which belong to a <b>Specific Company code</b>.
ie,To develop a report which lists the Documents created/updated/changed based on specified date and users.
I think we can find from CDHDR & CDPOS tables. But i need to filter these documents or pick documents based on a Specific Company code.
ie.,from the list of records obtained from CDHDR table....how to filter these documents based on Company code......

Most of the application document Heade tables(VBAK,EKKO etc ) will have the field CRETAED by like ERNAM. and all these tables will have BUKRS field also in them
So compnay code wise User created documents list you will get.
Only problem is the Changed/Modified list by user with related Company code.
Anyhow you will get the User who changed the documents from CDPOS table.
But for linkthem to Company code I feel You need the
help of HR related Tables .
with the UNAME which you get from CDPOS table go to PA0105 infotype and get the PERNR linked with that user.
And get the attached BUKRS Company code from PA0001 infotype.

Materials/Production Order/Document Status Report
Hello All,
I am trying to create a report that gives the following
Production Number
Material Number on Production Order
Document Number on Material (DRAW-DOKNR)
Document Status (TDWST-STABK)
I tried creating this in a join and have the tables for Doc Number and Docu Number on Material but I can't seem to find a match between the part number on the Production Order and the Document Number.
What table has the parts on a production order?

LindaOK I have the Production Order and the attached BOM now all I need to do is add the DRAW and TDWST - unfortunately they don't have similar keys to do a join with what I just created. When I try to join with MARC it doesn't pull anything - doesn't like that join.
In order to get the Production Order and it'e related BOM use the following:
I created a join between tables AUFK and RESB
Output of the query looks like the following:
Order Type: AUFK-AUART
Order Number: AUFK-AUFNR
Plant: AUFK-WERKS
Material Number: RESB-MATNR
BOM Number: RESB-POSNR
In Order to get it into BOM Order all you do is sort on RESB-POSNR -
Copying Documents Object Links attached to BOM Headers & Items in Prod Ord

I've created a BOM for an assembly. This BOM has document assignments at 3 places -
1. BOM Header level (in BOM Header overview - Document Assignment tab)
2. BOM Item level (in BOM Item: All Data - Document Assignment tab)
3. Document assigned as a BOM Item with Item Category D (in BOM General ITem overview - Document tab)
When I create the Production Order for this assembly, only the document that is assigned as a BOM Item with Item Category D (point#3 above) is copied into the order.
I'm not able to view the document links for the documents as described in points 1 and 2 above.
The necessary configurations in Production Scheduling Profile have been done for integration with DMS.
I need to know if there is a way (probably through some user exit, BADI or by implementing some SAP Note), the object links for documents attached to BOM Header and BOM Items can also be transferred to a Production Order.
Please help me out in resolving this issue as it is a very critical requirement of the client.

If you follow following path in the Production Order Header. click on the Document Overview (SHIFT+F7) Button
You could be able to see the Links for Material Master attached Documents. there is a Button for BOM origin documents. I tried but it didnt worked. I hope it works for you. If it works for you. Please let me know.

Go to BOM-Item Overview screen in CS02 Transcation
In the Item Category select "D"-Drawings,System will take you to Item:General data screen,there you have to give the doc no,doc type
Prior to this drawings/documents should be available,Hope you know how to create a document,Tcode is CV01n
The drawings which are attached to the BOM will not have link to the production order
Whereas the drawings attached to the material master will have a link to the production order
In the production order documents(Instructions) can also be attached as PRT in the routing

BOM explosion where first BOM alternative has deletion flag
Hi,
I got the following very basic scenario:
One FERT material has two BOM alternatives (alternative 1 and 2). Both of them are valid in terms of date, status and lot size. When a production order is created by CO01 the system will pick automatically alternative 1 (which is ok for me). BUT if this BOM alternative 1 gets a deletion flag (on BOM alternative header) I would expect that the system would automatically pick alternative 2 (it is the "next" suitable alternative). But the systems says there is no valid BOM available.
Only if I really delete alternative 1 (so I cannot see it anymore in CS02), the system would pick alternative 2 (because it is now the really first one available - no version in front with only deletion flag). But in terms of documentation I cannot delete the alternatives.
Maybe somebody could explain that to me or had a similar problem...

many thanks for your suggestions. Setting the status to inactive did the trick. Obviously the deletion flag is not enough at this point.
Just to clarify - production version of course would be an option but that did not work with the following:
I have 6 different routings for this FERT and the user has to choose when the production order is created. That works basically fine when the order is created with CO01 (popup for selection of production version based on MRP4 setting). BUT when a planned order is converted directly from MD04 into a production order the system would automatically pick production version 1 (no matter what setting in MRP4 view). If there are no production version the user would get at least a popup for choosing a routing. But this would maybe an additional thread in the forum
