Document Attachments flow from BOM to WIP

Hi All,
We want the attachments flow from BOM to WIP or Org Items to WIP,
1. Component Items Created and assigned to Org - Attachments uploaded here.
2. A BOM created - Upload attachments here or the attachments should flow from Items to BOM.
3. When a WIP job created for the assembly has the attachment, that should flow into WIP job.
How this can be achieved? Also there are document categories called TO WIP and WIP Job/Schedule Attachments are tried but not working, what is this for?
Thanks,
Magesh

Hi Magesh,
WIP allows you to create a catalog of standard operation documents. You can then attach these documents to your work in process routing operations in the Operations window.
Please refer to the --  Oracle Work in Process User's Guide
and search for --  Defining Operation Documents
Currently BOM Attachments cannot be made available on the WIP Job.
But however, an attachment can be added in the Routing definition and then viewed in the Discrete Job at creation time.
The routing operation copies the attachment and enables viewing from the WIP Discrete Jobs form.
You may refer to the document:
Note: 364364.1  BOM/Routing Attachment Relationship with Discrete Jobs
Further for the document categories called - TO WIP, TO Supplier, etc
These are Item attachment categories that simply provide a way to classify attachments—this classification identifies the purpose of the attachment to the business object,
and can also be used as one of the search criteria within an attachment list.
There is no functional significance otherwise.
Please refer to the --  Oracle Product Information Management Implementation Guide
Chapter 3 - Setting Up the Item Catalog
Section - Defining Item Attachment Categories
Hope this helps.

  • Document Flow from BOM to Production Orders

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I have attached a few documents at header level of the BOM. I have also attached document at item level in the BOM. When I create a production order these documents are not flowing to Production Order. Is there any way to do that. I also want to see them in CS11 and CS12 reports.
In OPKP I have already checked Document Links-BOM "On Creation" and "On Release" for my production scheduling profile.
    Thanks and Regards
    Geravine

I have three documents. One is attached at the BOM header level under the documents tab. The second with item category D is entered as a line item in the BOM Items. The third is in the Item Level under the item's documents tab in the item details. All have same document type.
When I create the production order the second document is copied in the document overview of production order. First and Third are nowhere to be seen.
Is there any config or user exit to achieve the same?

  • Can't send document attachments from Mail to iPhone

...well I can but not very well.... When using Gmail IMAP to sync everything, document attachments sent from Mac Mail to iPhone mail arrive as a bit of mess.. i.e. not as attachments but as text within the email itself, plus lots of garbled numbers and letters. Strange because if I send the same message from the iPhone back to itself or from webmail-Gmail it works fine. Its also just fine with photos and Pdf's. Help!

    No, sorry. false alarm.
I just received a message, sent by Apple Mail 2.1.2 from OS 10.4.11, through POP, to an email-forwarding address, to my imap-gmail, and received from there (by IMAP) with Mail 2.1.2, too.
Details of what got garbled below, just to say that sending the email not to the forwarding address but directly to [email protected] did not help either.
the email was constructed like so:
    - some text, readable.
    - an attached PDF, space characters in name. this entire pdf was just printed in the email, meaning the postscript code and what have you.
    - some more text, that was still readable
    - an attached image that was probably pasted into the email, the name was "pastedGraphic.png". The image survived.
    - text, readable.
    - another PDF, raw contents printed into email body.
    - a zip file, spaces in name, made with the built-in archive maker of Tiger. Also here, the entire 'source code' of the zip is printed in the body copy.
    - some final bits of text. readable.
On another computer, this email was not routed through a gmail account and was received by POP. not a single problem there. In fact, not ever.
    This is not very cool

  • Stop document flow from Lead to Activities

    Hi gurus,
Got a very simple question. I have created a bunch of custom activities. Now all of them should be accessible to Opportunity but only some of them should be accessible from the Lead.
At this point all these activities are available (document data flows from Lead to all Activties) to the Lead. When a user creats a Lead and tries to create a follow-up activity from here, he should not view certain Acitvities (only the Opportunity should be able to access them). I haven't done anything (copy control etc) specific for this to happen, hence I do not know how to stop this happening
    Thanks,
    -PR

In SAP Standard you can always create any type of activity as a follow-up transaction from any transaction. The copy control customizing only is valid for non-activities. So if you want to exclude some activities from being created as a follow-up transaction in certain szenarios you need to modify the standard I am afraid.

    Dear Geravine,
You can use a Production Scheduling profile to specify that in a production order or process order
particular business transactions are carried out in parallel
generation of document link from material master on order creation
generation of document link from BOM on order creation
generation of document link from material master on order release
generation of document link from BOM on order release
Include the check boxes for Document links for material and BOM both under order creation and order release.
    Check in T Code OPKP.
But in my understanding only the document that are attached to the header and the items with D category alone gets
    transferred to the production order.

  • Revenue not flowing from Sales order to PS so no WIP in PS/WIP

    Thanks,

  • Extraction of document flow from CRM

    Hi experts,
I am currently struggeling with a generic extractor that will load the document flow from CRM into BW. My problem is that the load takes too long, due to the number of links in the document flow. I use a SAP FM called SREL_GET_NEXT_RELATIONS to get the document links and it works fine. The problem occurs when a campaign is linked to a transaction, since the campaign at my client can have more than 10 000 transactions and those transactions is then linked to other transactions and so on. This makes extraction of the document flow very large and slow to load.
Is there any standard way of extracting the document flow that I am missing?
Does anyone have any experience regarding extracting the document flow from CRM and would like to share their knowledge?
    Help are appreciated!
    /Sebastian

there's a reason why SAP does not deliver extractors for things like this
sometimes you need to face the end users (or project managers) with the "impact" of their requests... who would ever be able to look at a document flow that contains 50 transactions each of which linked to 1000 (or more) campaigns again each of which linked to a couple of other transactions?
anyways, you should talk to some very experienced ABAPers if you really wish to continue with this request, rethink your approach or, what I would strongly suggest, rethink your initial request to get this into BI (if your not using web reporting, reporting on this will already crash in Excel versions 2003 and lower)

  • Reconcilation BOM and WIP to GL

    Hi,
Can any one of you please tell me how to reconcile BOM and WIP to GL
    Regards
    Swetha

Nothing flows directly from BOM to GL.
The work order requirements are created based on the BOM.
When the work order transactions are done (such as wip component issue, wip completion, backflush etc.), records are created in mtl_material_transactions.
Then at month end (or several times during the month), you transfer transactions to GL (either in Summary or in Detail based on the setup on the Organization parameters screen).
That creates records in the GL Interface table.
Then you run the Journal Import program. That actually posts the entries to the GL.
    See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/cst/invmfg01.htm for some overview.

  • Excise Values are not flowing from J1IJ to VF01

    Hi All,
I am facing the problem in Invoice to Customer(from Depot). Excise Values are not flowing from J1IJ. I maintained Alt Cal type as 356 in Pricing procedure for Excise condition types. Even though its not flowing. I am using Tax Procedure TAXINN.
I have gone through SDN, everybody is suggesting about 356 routine.
My scenario is STO from Plant to Depot and Sale from Depot to Customer.
    ME21N->VL10B->VF01(Proforma)->J1IIN->MIGO->VA01(from Depot)->VL01N->J1IJ(Depot Excise)->VF01(Invoice to Customer)
In J1IJ, excise values are coming but in VF01 it is not coming.
    Kindly help me.
    With Regards
    Azeez.Mohd

    Hi,
in j1ig initial screen which excise group/series group i need to enter
is it of supplying plant or depot --- Enter Your Excise group
If i enter material document no say 5000000265 (corresponds to migo-101 at depot )& year
it'm getting error message excise invoice already exists for5000000265 --> Check the Year of material document
You can also use the Excise Invoice Details tab
Enter Vendor's Ex.Inv.No. , enter your STO's Excise Invoice No. and Click on Own factory and enter factory's Series Group in n case of STO from factory,
use Depot Excise Invoice in case of transfer from another depot
    and Excise Inv. Date
    On next screen,
In case of non availability of Internal Excise No., select the line item and click on button. On next screen, enter Excise Inv. No., Date, Challan Qty, Excise Base value, ensure that Excise Duty rates are maintained in respective duty rates column, you can also manually enter the excise duty amount and press Enter . System will give warning messages, press Enter for each message and press Back button. System will display the excise duty amount, check the same and click on Save button.
Hope this will resolve your issue.

  • Transfering Documents (mostly .jpg) from Services for Object to DMS

    Hi,
We are presently in the process of finalizing document attachments via DMS system. We still have a high quantity of documents that were attached through the "Services for object" function (mostly .jpg ) and would like to transfer these to DMS without having to export them for every single object (mostly equipments). Is there any way to do this i.e. mass export of these attachments with their link (ex. at the top of the dialog box: AttachmentFor0000000...) so that they remain .jpg to be able to re-upload quickly in DMS system ?
    Thanks for your help !

we have in the current system merger project a developer from SAP who is programming this feature for us, so I am pretty certain that there is nothing in standard that can do this job.

  • Depot Sales-Excise values are not flowing from J1iJ to VF01

    Hi Gurus,
In Depot Sales: while doing excise invoive from T-code J1iJ Go to delivery -RG23D selection select the delivery number XXXXX Excise Group 51 and series Group: 50 ENTER - select the line item and click on F6 and here we have to click on excise invoice Button for capturing the Input excise duties for taking the reference. And the excise values are shown here correctly.
Issue: In VF01- when we are raising the commercial invoice , the duty values are not flowing from the J1IJ transaction. Instead the values are showing Zero for all the three condition types namely JEXP, JECS and JHCS. We have used the Pricing Procedure ZINDEP and 356 routine.
Inputs on this how to solve will be highly appreciated.. as we are in critical stage.
What are the checks to be ensured to Get the values flow from J1IJ to VF01.
Scenario: STO from Mfrg Plant to Depot and Depot sales to customer.
Me21N-Me29N-VL10B-VL02N-VF01-J1IIn-MIGO-(STO process completes)-VA01-VL01N-J1IJ-VF01(duty values should flow from the J1IJ referenced Excise Invoice) Correct me if I am wrong.
Any user exits, Notes please let me know. I could not find any. I have gone through the forum threads, which speaks about 356 routine, J1ID- checks etc.
    Thanks&Regards
    Sreekanth:

    Hi!
Am sure you would have captured the Excise at Depot with J1IG.
Also, have you saved the billing document to check the duties?
Thirdly, after save, again open the billing doc and go to Header-Conditions then Save. This part does not seems logical, but i am sharing my practical experience.
Please check condition records if any.
    Regards
    Arun

  • Excise Duty Value not flow from J1IJ to VF01

    Hi SAP Expert,
I am facing the problem in Invoice to Customer(from Depot). Excise Values are not flowing from J1IJ for pricing procedure JINDEP. I maintained Alt Cal type as 356 in Pricing procedure JINDEP for Excise condition types JEXP. But it is still not flowing. I am using Tax Procedure TAXINN.
Do I need to go to VTFL In item level copying requirement to set pricing type: to C ??
But once i set, it will impact other billing document too. Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I have successfully posted Excise Invoice at Depot using J1iJ.
When i create billing via Vf01, i am unable to see the value of Excise Duty in item pricing condition from J1iJ.
I analyse the pricing condition for condition type JEXP, below is what i got :
This message tells you that the condition record exists, but has not been set in the document. If pricing was carried out again for the document item, then the condition would be set.
There are different reasons for this:
1.The condition was deleted manually in the item condition screen.
    2. The condition record was created later. Please note that order processing and pricing have buffer mechanisms. This means that a newly added condition record might only be found after order processing has been left completely and then started again.
If the condition type is used for subsequent settlement (rebate), there may be subsequent updating of business volume (the agreement is is created retrospectively). The document conditions do not contain the condition record, as the condition record was not created when pricing was carried out. Updating of business volume is carried out using special functions for subsequent settlement.
    1. When an item was added, the condition record was accessed with key fields other than change time. This could lead to different results in the requirements check at the time of adding and the change time. This can occur when modifications are made.
    2. In billing (or when copying orders): Certain condition types were not determined in the source document (this is usually controlled by the pricing requirements). When creating the document, the document flow (TVCPF,TVCPA) is processed using a pricing type that does not redetermine these condition types, although they are supposed to be called via the requirements.
Is it correct that i assigned routine 356 to Pricing Condition JINDEP ?

  • Invoke task flow from backing bean?

    Hi,
Is there a way to invoke task flow from a backing bean? If yes, how?
    Thanks in advance

Thanks Frank. I am not an expert with ADF so please bear with me if my questions doesn't make sense. Basically what I am trying to achieve is this.
I have a taskflow and I am currently in a ui page which displays a page fragment inside this task flow. In this page, on click of a button, I need to call another task flow and show it in a adf popup. Is this the case referred in the pdf document that you pointed out?
    Thanks

  • Tax flow from SABRIX to Invoice

    Hi Gurus,
Need your help/ comments on the following scenario:
Billing document has only one line item and the accounting document can't be generated since the system gives an error message stating "Pricing error in item 000010" message number if VF073.
Now the background for this is:
Taxes in the sales order are flowing from SABRIX, the condition records show 2 levels of taxes 4% & 1% subsequently but the condition value is 0, which means taxes are not relevant for this scenario even when the taxes are flowing in, now the sales order has 4% & 1% but the invoice does not have 4% & 1% and this is the reason why this document has a pricing error.
Now the question is what are the possible scenarios where tax condition records are not flowing from sales order to invoice, I have made sure that SABRIX was not down anytime during the day.
    Please help
    regards
    Anmol

this is the reason why this document has a pricing error.
To me it looks an early conclusion without much analysis. System won't check whether tax is applicable or not when releasing to accounting, unless the tax condition types are checked as mandatory. What you need to do is try to simulate the scenario in the test system (copying the pricing date from the production system sales order) and do the pricing analysis. Then you will realize the reason for the pricing error. Some possibilities could be Tax laws are keep on changing (resulting SABRIX updates), user might have changed the master data (customer master tax condition), user exit might be causing calculation of taxes, any routines in the pricing procedure etc.
    Regards,

  • Can you save R/3 documents (attachments to sales orders) in KM?

We have R/3 version 4.6c and KM version 2004.  We would like to have R/3 Sales Order document attachments that are currently stored in the Knowledge Provider - Document Management System to be stored in a NetWeaver 2004 KM Repository.  Has anyone done this? or know how to configure this?

Tracy, I am not sure if you can store the document attachments in KM but using the KM DMS Connector you can access them from portal KM.
    Cheers,
