Go to SPRO>DMS>Control Data>Activate Browsers and ACLS.
Tick the relevant selection.
When you go to CV01N and press Button Select Document Via ( Ctrl + F7 ) you get new browser .You can togle between two browsers.

Document browser / Folder Structure in DMS
Dear Experts,
I have activated document browser and was able create folder structure.
As per clients requirement, We designed a department wise folder structure.
Example :
Main Folder 1
Main Folder 2
etc..
Under each main folder a sub folder is created to maintain specific DIR.
But in the system, there is no restrictions for document types under a sub folder, and we are able to create any DIR with any document type under a any sub folder.
So, could anyone suggest me a way out to restrict document types under a folder?
Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes its a part of DMS.
You can activate the ACL authorizations using customizing transaction 'DCSWITCH'.

Hi all,
I got 7 tabs in create document info record (cv01n), about 5 i knows, but additional 2 are "Document browser" and "Authorizations", I have to remove this tabs, kindly help me out, where I can change the configuration.

and Untick option which ever TAB u want to remove

Printing document with table to PDF - file disappears
When I print a document to PDF from either AppleWorks or MS Word, it is saved to the location as PDF and works as would be expected. If the file contains a table, the PDF file initially appears where saved but disappears when I attempt to access it.
The document was initially created in AppleWorks. The MS Word document was translated from AppleWorks.
The PDF file quite literally disappears from the screen. All routine Mac software maintenance is on schedule and all Apple updates for my OS completed to date.The solution is logical, if annoying.
My Print to PDF problem has been solved. I complained about not being able to save documents containing tables created on AppleWorks as PDF, but the tables were not the problem. The problem was a font within a table. I discovered this when I could also not print the document to a printer. Despite saving as PDF being a print routine, I cannot get out of Save As mode. The document did print to PDF on my mother’s iBook because another font was substituted in the table.
There are several fonts on my PowerBook that will not print, even on a postscript printer that has them on board. That is a separate and largely ignored problem. One of those is the Bookman family. Too bad. I like that family and use it frequently with older operating systems, but OS X refuses to print anything containing that font. I have never taken the time to troubleshoot the problem.
I had already performed the searches suggested to no avail. The point of all this is that font problems that prevent printing a document to a printer will also prevent a document from printing to PDF. The icon initially appearing then going away seems odd to me but probably not to a MacGeek.
Thank you, Mask, for giving thought to this issue. Now, maybe I should invest in a font troubleshooting application. -
Bi call document browser from web template wad 7.0
Hi,
Is it possible to customize the document browser dialog when calling via command "OPEN_DIALOG_DLG_DOC_BROWSER" from web template.
The iframe within the browser has a fixed size, so when opening a document the iframe is always too small and does not change the size, also when changing the size of the document browser window.
Is there a possibility opening the documents in a new window instead of opening in the iframe?
From WAD I have not found any possibility solving this. Maybe it's possible to change the web dynpro. Does anybody know the web dynpro / component for the document browser?

Creating UDO through code with 1 Docment table & 4 Document Line Tables
Hi,
I need to create one Document table and four Document Line tables(child tables) and make them UDO through code. This process is working When I am creating UDO with one Document table and one Document Line table but if I add more than one Child table it is taking only one child.... Can anyone give me some solution or code example related to this problem this problem?

Header record in document flow table VBFA
Hello experts:
I would like to have header entries (item number as "000000") for every document in document flow table VBFA. How to get it done?
We have copy control from sales document to delivery document and from delivery to billing. All items are copied.

To give you a little background. I am both a developer and SD consultant. In my previous assignments where I was only a developer, I used to query document flow with item no. as "000000" to limit the selection for performance reasons. If you notice, I did not have to hard-code item no.s as it is dynamic. So, it was a cool option. It is the case with VBKD table too.
Right now, I work in a highly performance conscious environment where I thought it would be useful to implement what I had experienced before. But I am stuck!! My previous experiences make me think it is possible and hence the question.

Hi all,
there are new tabs of Document browser & Authourizations in ECC6 can anyone tell the significant use of it, where can i find the relevant info on it.
Can i remove those tabs from the DIR screen, is there any configration to remove those tabs.

Thanks & regards.The authorisation tab is new functionality from ECC6. It allows you to incorporate authorisations on document level which expand the authorisation functionality considerably. I.e. you can now set display/change access on a department/user/etc level.
The Document Browser tab replicates the folder structures found in EasyDMS and allows you to display/change/edit this structure from within SAP itself.
You can remove either tab using ABAP but not using standard configuration. -
Document browser and ACL Authorization
Dear friends,
We are working on ECC 6.0 and required to implement SAP DMS. As of with every ERP 2005 default two features are coming, document browser and ACL Authroization. These features are not required by users, so we need to de-activate these. We have a note for these wherein it is mentioned that one of the component is required to upgrade. We dont want to go with this. If any note is there by applying which we can de-activate those features will be well and good, instead of upgrading component.

This t-code will be enable only after support pack SAPKGPAD11 or greater version is implemented. Our client is not in the position to upgrade, by implementing support packs. Alternate solution if any, pls suggest. By applying any notes if we can de-activate these features, let us know.

Where to edit the 'Document Browser' content in the Document Library 0.92
I want to add some functionality to the 'Document Browser' region of the Document Library0.92 packaged application.
I realize that this section/region is created from an AJAX call, based on the click of a file from get_all_docs file list on the left panel, but I cannot find any JS or template to make edits for this region.
I looked at doc_Browser_Init() and did not see anything right away, that might offer info on where to go. I also looked in the empty static files folder and I looked at APEX_DOCS.js and I see nothing in there either. I have asked on the Oracle forum and have gotten no response as well. I am able to make edits to all other template pages (and none of them need editing) but I am at a loss to know where to make edits for the center area generated from clicking a file in the Document Browser.

You are right that the middle content comes from an ajax call. The ajax call invokes the application process called GetDoc which in turn calls doclib.doc_detail(:DOC_ID,:app_user); -- passing the document that was clicked on and the current applicatioin user. If you want to make changes to the middle content area, you should edit the procedure doc_detail in the doclib package. You will need to download the package because it is too large to edit directly in the Object Browser. Make your edits locally in an editor and then recompile it, either using SQL*Plus (if you have local access to the db) or using SQL Workshop SQL Scripts function.

Edit Document in Document Browser
Hi All,
I have a web template built in BI7 and have turned on the document functionality to allow users to add comments to a report.
However once they have entered the document and want to go back to edit the document there is no edit function to enable the user to change and re-save their document.
Do you know where I make this setting to allow editing of the document in the document browser?

In RSA1 --> Documents --> Choose Meta data --> Type OBJECT TYPE and type OBJECT NAME. Click Show me documents
Based on this selection if you've created any documents means it'll list all. from this list choose your document and click Edit to change and save it.

Restriction of Labs/Offices and Document Browser
Hello Everyone,
I have searched the forum but got no satisfactory answers.We have several plants and locations involved,ours is gropu with 23 companies.My doubts are:
1. Can we restrict the labs/offices defined to Document type level?
2.Can we restrict the Document Browser and Authorizations tab to Document type level?

In customization settings for Document Types, if we enter "Required Entry (+)" for labs/office and Auth group in the field selection, it will mandatorily ask to input these when you save a new document. If we donu2019t select anything, then it input to lab/office or auth group will not be asked.
Apart from "Required entry", there are 3 more options like "optional entry", "Suppressed Field and "Display field" which are used for different scenarios. Let me know if this answers your questions.

How to implement one to many relationship between two Document Line Table
Hi,
I want to implement the following relationship into user defined tables:
Example Situation:
There are tables A, B and C.
For one record of Table A, there could be multiple records in table B.
For one record of Table B, there could be multiple records in table C.
i.e. A(1) -> B(n) [One to many relationship]
B(1) -> C(n) [One to many relationship]
finally: A(1) -> B(n) -> C(n)
How can I achieve this? If I make Table A as Document and table B & C as Document Line and then make them UDO, will it work? Kindly suggest me a solution.

I think that the database representation is exactly what you ask for. 3 tables, A, B, C. A should have a UDF that is linked to B table, and B should have a UDF that is linked to C table.
You should manage the database transactions, and the UI to support all this stuff.
