Document flow in sales document

How to activate or deactivate document flow in sales document?

Hi Kedu,
Whenever you want the document flow to be active go to Copy control. For e.g let us see the document flow updation in Sales order to Delivery flow. T-code used is VTLA. Here select the Delivery type & the Sales order type and select on ITEM details. Here select the correct Item category you are using and then view the details. Here you can see a Update Document flow selection Option. Select it. Now try once sales cycle and view the document flow updation.
Hope the above helps you.
REWARD if it helps you!!

  • Document flow for sales document

It is possible NOT update the document flow when i create sales document with reference  to onther sales document?
    Thanks.

When you don't want to have a relationship between to doc and want use only for reference then you can use - Dynamic Product Proposal or simply, user can refer the items from existing doc (to do this in sales order overview screen, press CRTL+F11, explore the option-easy without config )
A product proposal is a list of products for a specific customer that is automatically proposed during sales document processing. You can decide for yourself which materials should be displayed as product proposals in the sales document. You can also determine the sequence in which the materials appear in the product proposal.
During sales document processing, the system displays a product proposal in the item overview according to the customer and the business transaction. It displays the material number, material description, and historical order quantites in the sales unit last used. To use a material again, you just have to copy it. The system does not run the standard checks (pricing, availability, incompletion, material determination, free goods determination and so on) until you have entered the order quantities.
The product proposal is both an entry help and an aid to sales support and promotions. It is particularly useful in Telesales, where the employee automatically receives a display of all the materials that are of interest to a particular customer. This helps them to provide appropriate advice to the customer quickly and easily. The sales document history enables you to analyse the purchasing behaviour of a customer and recognize early on if it changes, for instance, when the customer suddenly stops ordering a product.
The product proposal differs to cross-selling in that it is dependent on the customer and sales area, and is displayed in the sales document as soon as you have entered a customer. Cross-selling, on the other hand, is triggered by a material. In other words, the system proposes cross-selling materials according to the material or a characteristic of the material you have entered.
You can determine the product proposal from different data sources:
    -Order history
    -Listed materials
    -Excluded materials
    -Item proposal
    -Customer-material info records
    -Customer-specific data sources
You can combine materials from these data sources to create a product proposal. The system then accesses the data sources either online or in the background.
To define a product proposal for sales document processing, you must carry out the following activities in Customizing:
-Define customer procedure for product proposal
-Define document procedure for product proposal
-Assign document procedure for product proposal to order types
-Maintain table of origin for product proposal
-Define product proposal procedure and determine access sequences
-Maintain procedure determination (in background) for product proposal
-Maintain procedure determination (online) for product proposal
The product proposal procedure determines how the system displays the product proposal in the sales document. For instance, if the system has accessed the order history, it determines how many columns should be displayed in the sales document, in which period intervals thehistoric order quantities should be displayed (for instance, day, week, or month), and most importantly, the sequence in which the system should access the data sources (for example, order history, listing, exclusion).
The product proposal procedure depends on the:
    - Customer determination procedure
The customer procedure determines which product proposal procedure the system automatically uses when you create a sales document for a particular customer. It is specified in the customer master record per sales area.
    - Document determination procedure
The document procedure determines which product proposal procedure the system automatically uses for a certain document type. The document procedure is stored as a key in the header for the sales document type.
If you use online processing, the product proposal procedure is determined according to the customer and document determination procedures.
If you use background processing, the product proposal procedure is determined according to the sales area in the customer master and the customer determination procedure. It does not use the document determination procedure because the document type is not recognized in background processing
    Hope this can assist.
    Thanks & Regards

  • What is document flow for particulr document?and how it will be configured?

give me answ with detiled steps to configure document flow

    Hi
The business cycle has different processes and each process will have a different documents to record the events/details of the activities about that activity. This is there even if the process happens manually.
It helps you to know the status of an order - ie., that particular order is in which stage of the business cycle.
As told in the above reply, the copy controls helps to link the documents and the field UPDATE DOCUMENT FLOW enables updating the preceding documents. The table that stores the document flow is VBFA and you can also see the document flow from any document by clicking the icon 'document flow'.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • DOCUMENT TYPE VS SALES DOCUMENT TYPE

    Hi friends
can u plz help me to find out difference between DOCUMENT TYPE and SALES DOCUMENT TYPE in terms of contain which they include. and their function.

    Hi,
Sales Doc type : A sales doc type is a doc which controls how the data is to function, how it is to be displayed and the pricing of the document type.
A sales doc is devided into
      1.  Pre sales Doc: Inquiry,Quotation
      2.  Sales orders  : cash sales,Rush orders,Order
      3.  Outline agrements: Rebates,contracts etc
      4.  Complints : debit memo,credit memos etc
      5. Special sales Docs : Third partysales,Consignment sales etc
All the 5 mentioned above are different document types.
Based on the Doc type which we enter in the transaction the system will repond according to that.
      Reward if it helps..

  • Adding a Document to a Sales Document

Is it possible? or how do you add or attach an unrelated document to a sales document.
For example for each quote you print or E-mail have behind the quote a page outlining sale offers etc.
    Thanks.
    Jim

To connect a document to the marketing documents, you should create a Link type UDF:
1.Tools / Customization tools / User defined field management
    2. In the window select the Marketing documents / Title line, click Add and
    3. Select General Type with Link structure.
After this double clicking in the UDF you can browse the document you want to connect.

  • Sales order document flow and delivery document flow are not in sunc

    Hi ,
whan I look at the Sales order document flow  there are lot of line items rejected with specific reason , but for the same line items already delivery and PGI in place . When we try to do the invoice it shows error , it can't be invoiced because line items in sales order are rejected .
Ideally in business when delivery and PGi created for the sales order , it should not allow the line item to reject . system should look at follow on documents in place . Reverse process should follow .
Pls provide solution to stop item rejection when follow on delivery document in place .
    thanks and regards.
    Sunil Tripathy

    Hi,
    Goto the T.Code "VOV7".
    Select your item category.
    Details.
Maintain the Completion rule as "A(Item is completed with the first reference)".
    Save.
If you do this after the follow on document is created, the item is completed and you cannot reject the item.
    For your second question,
    Goto the T.Code "VTLA".
    Select your valid combination.
Click on item.Select your item category.Details.
There is a check box called as "Update document flow".Tick that one.
    Save.

    Dear Zafar,
Check if there is a copy control between your sale order types in VTAA.
If yes, then in the item category, uncheck 'Update document flow' and then check.

  • Revenue Document Not visible in Document Flow of Billing Document

    Hi Friends,
I am facing the below issue Only in Quality System.
From with in the Billing Document when  click on "Accounting Overview Button" (i.e. Shift + F4 Key), list of Accounting Documents are Displayed.
    In Development:
I am able to see 4 Documents when I click on the "Accounting Overview Buttion" :- Accounting Document, Profit Center Document, Controlling Document and Profitability Analysis document.
    In Quality:
I am only able to see only 2 Documents when I click on "Accounting Overview Button": Accounting Document and Profit Center document.
In Quality System, when I checked KE24, I could see that Profitability Analysis Document has been created but the same is not visible in the Document Flow.
I did not check the Controlling Document, because I was not aware how to related it to the Sales Doc or Billing Doc.
I have also checked the following OSS notes: 877921, 453772 and 545505. Correction suggested in this OSS note are already implemented.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
based on the sample coding I think that some more data needs to be passed in parameter lt_files. I would recommend you to see the BAPI description in transaction BAPI for the DOCUMENT_CREATE2 BAPI and made sure that the necessary data for
BAPI table DOCUMENTFILES are also handed over correctly.

  • Defaulting Document Currency in Sales Documents

    Hi,
We have a requirement where in we need to default the document currency in a sales document based on certain rules.
As far as i know, the document gets picked up automatically if a Billing currency is maintained in the Sales Area data of the Sold to party.
Just wanted to find out is there any other way by which we can pick the currency in a document ? I am looking at non custom ways of achieving this.
    Thanks in advance

  • Different billing document for Same Sales document

    Hi guru's
    I have scenario like this
Sales document is ZZOR for all countries but billing document will be different from country to country
Could you please light on this
    Thanks and Regards
    Srinivas Kapuganti

    Hi,
Now, as your requirement goes I can suggest you something on this as below:
Presuming you are doing delivery related billing as of now, then you need to maintain copy control between your delivery type to different billing types. Then while doing VF01 you need to manually select the billing type depending upon your country. Same thing will be applicable for order related billing as well.

  • Disable Document Flow in Sales Order copy control

    Hello,
We have a request where the customer doesn't want the docflow to appear when you copy a sales order to another sales order?  I know that you can disable the flag for the item categories however, when you do this, there is still a link between a sales order when it's created by referencing another.  Is there a way to create a sales order via "copy with reference" and to not have them linked in the docflow?  Possibly one of the configuation settings in the copying control?   We are on 6.0.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi,
I think It is not possible through configuration.
    Pl try screen exit
    or
change in standard program, which is not advisable.
    Thanks,

  • Controling Sales Document

    Hai Experts,
Can u plz let me know in wat ways Sales document type, schedule line category and item category controls the sales documents. Its given tat these 3 wil control sales document but in wat way its helpful to control these documents? Plz give me some examples. Thanking you.
    Regards,
    J. SriramChakravarthy.
Edited by: sri ram on Mar 12, 2009 6:40 AM

    Hi sri ram,
Sales document type, item type and item category
The sales document type, item type and item category define the way in which advertising sales are replicated and controlled in the system.
The sales document type is specified during sales document creation.
The item type and category are specified during document item creation. Active item types for sales document processing are defined in Customizing.
Document items of various item types or categories can be created in a sales document.
The item types are defined in the system.
Admissible item categories for each sales document type have been defined in Customizing.
    Activity
    Menu path
Assign item categories to sales document types
    SAP Media --->Advertising Management --->Sales -
    >Order --->Sales Document -
    >Sales Document Item -
    >Assign Item Category to Sales Document Type
If you assign the standard item and full and partial credit memo item categories to a sales document type, you can replicate associated business transactions in a single sales document by creating order and credit memo items in this document.
    See also: Item Category
    Create document flows
The sales document type, item category and copying variant control document flow.
To define document flow, specify the copying variants to be used to create follow-on documents and/or follow-on items for each sales document type and item category. Copying variants define the sales document type and item category in follow-on documents and/or follow-on items, such as those for credit memos or those used to convert offers to orders.
    Create credit memo items
This function copies selected data from a template item within a sales document. You want to copy all schedule line data for a complaint into a new document item. The copying variant indicates that the item category for the new item is a credit memo.
Unlike a document item copy with reference to a document item, the system retains manual changes to the schedule line, such as manual surcharges or discounts, ad spec assignments or quantity changes for a document item copy with reference to a schedule line if you have defined the schedule line copying variant accordingly.

  • Need no document flow update for sales order create with reference

    Dear All.
We would like to have the ability to create a sales order with reference to another sales order, and have the document flow of the sales order not updated.
Unlike the case of a standard create with reference where the documents are linked, in this case there is no relationship between the documents.  The first document is just acting like a template for the remaining documents, to save time during order entry.
We have turned off update of document flow at the line item level.
But I don't see a way for us to turn this off at the header (document level).  So wondering if there's another way to turn this off, or possibly through user-exit or VOFM requirement?
    Has anyone else done this?
I think that CRM has this functionality, but we're still entering orders through ERP-SD.
    Many Thanks!

    Hello Colleague;
The issue you have reported is SAP standard.  The checkbox "Update Document Flow" (V_TVCPAAP-UPFLU) controls document flow at item level.  If this checkbox is set to blank, there will be no document flow at item level.
However, the document flow cannot be completely turned off - if the 'update document flow' indicator is blank, you will still see an entry in the document flow, but there will be no update to table VBFA (Sales Document Flow) and the document flow of the predecessor will not be updated at item level (no record in VBFA at item level).
The reason is that the system checks VBAP (Sales Document: Item Data) for fields VGBEL (Document number of the reference document) and VGPOS (Item number of the reference item) for values.  You will always have document flow information on header and item level in the successor because it stores this information in table VBAP.
Related with this issue, you can find a Note 53383 for your review.
I hope it can clarify the case.
    Regards
    Ruy Castro
