Documents/attachments not saved in workcenter incident management?!

Hi all!
We patched our system to SPS 20.
While testing the designed functionality of the incident management within the work centers I got an problem with saving attachements.
I can choose an attachement/document (.doc; .xls; .pdf; etc.) and assign it to the ticket.
If I save the ticket I get the feedback "saved correctly" but the attachment disappears and is not existing any
more in the ticket.
This only happens within the work center. In SAP GUI the attachements can be assigned and saved correctly.
We checked and implemented the latest notes for SPS 20. Also 1269928 and 1080131.
Does anyone have had a problem like this before?
Thanks for you help in advance.
Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,
you might check SAP Note [1401196|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1401196] "Work Centers: attachment not saved in Incident Management" to solve the problem.

  • Is it possible to copy message in solman workcenter (Incident Management)?

    Dear all
Is it possible to copy message in solman workcenter (Incident Management)?
    For example, we created a Support Notification (SLFN) message as follows;
    【ID】                                80007000
    【Priority:Text】               3:Medium
    【Description】               Test001
    【User Status】               In process
    【Attributes】                   SM1_200
    【Business Partner】    ABC                    etc...
And now we want to copy the above message.
(Say, ID would be 800070001 and all the other section is completely same as ID80007000)
Does anyone know that it is possible or not?
    Yours,

    Hi,
I am not sure how good this will work or not; but you can give a try using the copying control mechanism. This should be able to copy the message completely to a new message when u create a new one from the existing one. Please refer the following IMG to find how to do this:

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a  program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

  • Mail attachments not saving to the folder I choose

My mail attachments are not saving to the folder I choose.  When I select a file to save in the mail drop-down box, I am given options to save to a folder of my choice.  However, when I select save the document is actually saved deep in some Mail Downloads area, not in my chosen folder.  Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

What kind of files are you trying to attach?
Is it all recipients having this problem or specific one(s)?
Could you possibly post a screenshot of the sent message from your side and a screenshot of what the recipient sees?
What happens if you send one of these messages to yourself?

  • Email attachments not saved to document library

Another system generates a report and emails it to a sharepoint document library - the email has a PDF report attached - but the pdf file is not extracted and saved to the document library.  We are saving the original incoming email in the library,
and if I download that .eml file to my PC and open with outlook, I can see the PDF attachment there, and can open it, etc.
If I forward that email message (that I retrieved from the SP document library) using outlook back to the same document library email address, the PDF attachment will
be extracted.  Passing through outlook seems to alter it and make it extractable.
The person on the sending system says they don't have any mail/encoding options that they can tweak - any suggestions as to what the cause of this might be?

Message header is below.  The report is generated by SQL Server Reporting services - via another sharepoint site that another group manages (somehow it is integrated with that other sharepoint site)

  • Attachments not saving to Downloads

For some reason when I push the "save" button to send attachments to the Downloads folder they are not going there. I can open attachments fine, and always just saved them to the Downloads folder on the dock - and opened them from there, but now they do save to this folder. Using Mail 3.3. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thank you for responding - I may be missing something pretty easy as I'm new Mail user. Under Mail preferences the Download folder is checked for saving attachments, but I still don't see them there after using "save" button - only a bunch of old ones.

  • Documents are not saving as PDFs

My hard drive crashed a couple of weeks ago.  I replaced the hard drive and was able to save the majority of my data.  However, when I re-installed the Adobe Reader, I have to access any PDFs online.  I can save a document as a PDF and it will tell me it is, but when I go back to look it up on my computer, it is not a PDF - only a FireFox link.  I do not want to have to get online every time to access my PDFs since I am limited on internet usage.  How can I permanently save a document and have it read as a PDF without going online to read it?
    I appreciate any help!
    Terri

The document when saved says it is saved as a PDF but it does not give you that option when I am wanting to save it from the FireFox link to PDF and still pulls up as a FireFox document.  When the document is printed, Adobe Reader is not reading it and it does not print into a PDF, which comes out off-centered or missing information.

  • Attachments in preview area in workcenter incidents management

    Greetings to all!
At workcenter Incident management in the preview for service mesage for a part of users the list of attachments list to the message is not displayed. For some users attachments list displayed in preview.
I cannot find the reason of  such behaviour of system. Prompt please from what visibility of the list of applications in the field of preview depends? It is regulated by what parametres?
What conditions should be observed to show attachments list in preview?

    Hi,
I came across your problem while looking for a solution of mine.
It's very similar to yours, however, the preview of my single page pdfs are totally blank.
Again, if I click on the blank image and press the space bar to invoke quick look, the image displays just fine.
I have tried different things, like resetting mail, resetting preview and even re-installing the OS (not a clean install), but none of them worked.
I had similar issues before and realized that this seems to happen when installing alternative pdf viewer. But this is just a stab in the dark.
    Any help is really appreciated.

  • Digital Signature error - "Document could not be signed"

I have a servlet (from the documentation sample) the rendered my form online. My form was saved from Designer as Acrobat 7.0.5 Static PDF Form File and then I applied Reader Extensions to it to allow for Digital Signatures and Basic Form Fill In. When I try to digitall sign the form, I get the error:
"The document could not be signed."
"There was an error when attempting to commit this signature. The document was not saved."
    "A file error has occurred."
Anyone know what this means and how do I fix it??
I am using Acrobat Reader 7.0.8, so maybe that is the problem, but I won't know what version Reader my user's will have, so it needs to work in many versions.
If I don't sign the form, I can submit it where a second servlet saves the form to a file and this happens successfully.
    Thank you,
    Jennifer

    Hello Rob,
    Thanks for the reply.
Actually, there is a bug with Reader and Form Rendered forms - at least with already extended pdf forms that get rendered via Form Server.
So, I hope this makes sense, but this is what I have determined (this is all done with viewing the EXTENDED PDF form WITHIN a WEB BROWSER):
If I use a simple hyperlink (i.e. plain html anchor tag) to my PDF form, I can digitally sign the form with no problem within in all 7.x versions of Reader.
If I utilize Form Server code (tested with local EJBClient and then remote JBoss using SOAPClient) then the results vary:
Reader 7.0.0 - I could successfully sign the form
Reader 7.0.5 - I could successfully sign the form
Reader 7.0.7 - I could NOT sign the form
Reader 7.0.8 - I could NOT sign the form
Reader 8.0.0 - I could successfully sign the form
So, you can see in version 7.0.7 and 7.0.8, one cannot digitally sign a form if it was rendered via Form Server and viewing the form in the web browser, but I can sign it just fine if I display the form via a simple html hyperlink, so that is what I am doing now.
I had this same issue when using Workflow server, but that was easy enough to apply the Reader Extension QPAC over and over as needed. I need these forms to be submitted on a remote server and haven't figured out yet how to apply the Reader Extension remotely yet.
    I hope this helps.

  • Big problem: KN08 not saving KN06 files

    Hi everyone,
I have a big problem with keynote 08 (4.0.1). Antefactum: last year our department finally migrated from powerpoint (mac, obviously) to keynote (3.0.2). So I opened all our powerpoint courses and conferences in keynote and saved them as keynote files, fixed all the little problems due to conversion and happily started to use only keynote. In december we updated to Leopard and KN 08, and here started the problem: if I create new files in KN 08 everything works perfect; I can create a new presentation, save it, update it with new material and save changes. Instead, if I open one of our KN 3.0.2 presentations in KN 08 he lets me do every modification but when I try to save it as KN 08 he tells me that it’s not possible. This is pretty frustrating, because I have something like 1 Tb of presentations and I don’t need to create new ones from zero, I need to update the existing ones with new material. Anyone knows why on earth KN 08 doesn’t let me do this? I mean, I can’t believe Apple programmers didn’t notice this problem, and I don’t want to think they thought this “function” would be fine either. If it’s a bug, anyone knows how it can be fixed?
    Neptune

    Hi Kyn Drake,
first of all let me thank you for the answer I updated to KN 4.0.2 but the problem remains. The message I get is "impossible to save document "(filename)", or "impossible to save document "(filename)" as "(new filename)", in case I try to save it with the same name or with a different one. This happens also if I do not modify a presentation at all: that is to say, when I open one of my presentations in KN 08 the red button in the upper left corner of the window already has the dot inside, which means that the document "is not saved". If I just try to save without doing anything to the presentation it still presents the problem. It doesn't even allow me to export it as a powepoint, I tried and still it says it is impossible. I can't really understand why, and I can't think I'm the only one who has this problem ?!??

  • Are Email attachments not being saved

When saving an email I have the SAVE attachments box checked.  However the attachments are NOT saved in the rtfd document.  Any fix available?

    Hi,
This issue may caused by Exchange delivered the email with Rich Text format which has some issues with incoming
email feature of SharePoint. Please try the following steps:
    1. Open Exchange Management Console
    2. Go to Organization -> Hub Transport -> Remote Domains (Tab)
    3. Create New Remote Domain
    4. Name can be whatever you want e.g. SharePoint
    5. Domain Name = <domain of SharePoint server> e.g.
    sharepoint.contoso.local
    6. Click New to create that object
    7. Then edit the new remote domain
    8. Go to Message Format (TAB)
    9. Under Exchange Rich-Text Format select “Never Use”

  • The document could not be saved error when Saving to a SharePoint Document Library

I am having an error when opening and commenting on Adobe PDF's that are stored in SharePoint 2010. When I attempt to save a PDF I have commented on I get the following error:
The Document could not be saved. The server said:
"The operation failed because an unexpected error occurred. (Result code: 0x80020005)"
This seems to happen in a Document Library that is based on a custom template with Managed Metadata columns, when we remove the columns it seems to work and when we create a library with a standard document library template and manually add the manage metadata columns it also works fine.
We would make this change to all document libraries where this issue occurs however this template is applied to 100's of libraries with thousands of documents stored in them. Is there anything we can look at to attempt to resolve this issue?
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. documents seem to work fine in these libraries.
