Does Transfer Invoice Price Variance pro-rate for partial quantity ?

We were planning on using Transfer Invoice Price Variance to Inventory but unfortunately, we find when there's an IPV for quantity that's partly issued - the variance is not pro-rated but entirely applied to the remaining quantity.
Just wondering if this is desired functionality and if so, could we use SLA to ask the program to pro-rate the variance and for partial quantity, apply the pro-rated amount to the quantity remaining and the rest to the Cost Variance account.
Thanks,
Sanjib

TIPV to Inventory doesn't pro-rate for partial quantity.
It transfers the entire IPV to the remaining quantity.

  • Invoice price variance

    Hi gurus,
Can anybody please let me know where to look for the settings for invoice price variance. The PO was created for material A for 26.01 USD for 1EA for 6EA. Therefore the GR amount is 156.06 USD (26.016). We received the invoice for 48.41 USD for 1  EA, therefore the total is 290.46 for 6EA (48.416). accounting have blocked the invoice. Where can we check in the system for the invoice tolerances so that it explains why the invoice is  blocked. I also want to know whether the invoice was blocked manully or system atuomatically did it? Now how can accounting correct this anamoly?
    Thanks
    Anusha

I guess your invoice has automatically been blocked for payment because either the upper absolute or the percentage limit has been exceeded by the amount specified in customizing for key PP
Go to OMR6, key PP and check the settings
Accounting can release the invoice for payment through Tcode MRBR

  • Invoice Price Variance Report

    Hi,
When the IPV report is run for a particular month , I find a variance value of -759 against an account. But when I look in Payables entries for this account, I find an additional -1329 , in addition to -759 and when I drill down these are identified as Invoice Price Variance. Why isn't the report picking up this entry ? For these entry lines the source is "Cost Management". Please provide me with some pointers to this.
    Thanks,

    hi
thanks for your reply. assume that PO total is 150. invoice is created of 100. in this case should i see an amount in Invoice Price Variance? im not seeing any change in Invoice Price Variance. for me what happens here is Transaction Amount - Accounted is shown -50 as its still to create an invoice of amount 50 which is in fact the accrual balance. pls give me a feedback on this. i want to produce a scenario which will make the invoice price variance more or less than 0.
    thanks

  • Release a production  order for partial quantity

    Hi gurus,
Can you please tell me how can i release a production  order for partial quantity without splitting the order?
    Regards
    Rajib Pathak

    Dear,
Best way you can conver the planned order to production oreder in partial in CO40.
Or from MD04 screen click the planned order, choose pratial release and enter the quantity you want to release and press Generate button. the order gets converted to production orders of yr specified quantity and rest planned order remains for further processing.
    Or,
    Create order
    Goto operation overview
Select the operation and click on release button...which will release the opration alone instead of releasing the order. If you release the order, then all the eperatios are released onec for all.
If you go for operation release...you can release operation by operation, which will be partial release of order at header level.
at operation level - partial release
    Hope it will help you.

  • Split invoice due to exchange rate for letter-of-credit

    Hi Guru,
Orginially, I was trying to create a combined invoice and the the split msg appears. After some checking,  so I update the exchange rate for all S.O.  remove the Letter of credit, save, reapply the letter of credit to S.O..  and the error msg still appears.  So I then try to create invoice per S.O. and found that split were due to the letter of credit rate diff within the S.O.
    e.g.
    S.O. 12345 , exchange rate 1.5
    S.O. 23456, exhcange rate 2.0
    1. I update S.O. 12345 to exchange rate 2.0.
    2. try to create invoice,  msg appears.
    3. check table VBKD and found that the whold order exchange rate = 2.0 but for a few line item, the letter of credit exchange rate still = 1.5
Can anyone recommed how I can update the letter of credit rate ?
    Thanks & Regards,

Thanks.  I guess i didnt explain my problem clearly.  we create invoice using sales order not delivery note.  We have a TPO process,  we create SO, Vendor PO, and Vendor ship good directly to customer.  We GR against PO, then bill using SO#.
Hopes it is clear enough for more help.
    thanks.

  • Does Apple sell the mac pro box for shipping a mac pro to a new address

I am being relocated across the country, USA, by my employer. And need to ship my Mac Pro to the new location. Does Apple or any commercial supplier provide a Mac Pro Specific shipping box that can be bought. I.E. that has all the correct foam and spacers for the tower. Thanks.
    Raul

Now is a great time to consider the cost of shipping a 65lb (or more) item all across the country Vs the cost of selling your old Mac and buying a new one when you get there.
The 2009 and later models Geekbench at nearly twice the speeds of the 2008 and previous (at same number of processor and nominal speeds). This is mainly due to Muti-Threading and memory improvements. The memory for the newer models is MUCH cheaper if you need to add on.
I suggest you cost out the shipping, then ask then for that amount toward a system upgrade when you arrive. Or check carefully whether you need to provide documentation of actual shipping or whether estimates will do.

  • Incoming inspection for partial quantity

    Hi,
I need to define quality inspection for incoming parts but this inspection should be for a partial qty.
If i get a  qty for 100pcs from vendor, when MIGO or GR is done, it has to create inspection lot for 10 pcs and remaining 90 has to go to Unrestricted use stock directly.
Is there a way to achieve this

  • PROCESSING INVENTORY PRICE VARIANCE

    Hi everyboby.
I have this problem. I'm looking (without founding it) a standard method to shift inventory price variance account values in the inventory values. At the moment when there is a case of invoice price higher or lower than the purchase order one and consequently the inventory price variance account is used, we don't find any way to transfer that amounts into the inventory to correct the value of material.
I hope the problem is clearly descripted. Is there one that knows the procedure to transfer from inventory price variance the lower or higher value of material ?
    Thanks a lot !

Cost management Documentation talks about Transfer Invoice Price Variance - following the text for documentation ...
    Thanks

    Transferring Invoice Variance
You can transfer variances between purchase order price and invoice price back to inventory, from your user-defined adjustment account, usually an IPV account. This enables you to value your inventory at costs as close to actual as possible.
The transfer process picks up only invoices that have been posted to GL to ensure that the invoices are approved for payment, and that variances can be added back to inventory.
Note: Support for Project Manufacturing: If the IPV transfer is for material belonging to a specific project, only that project's inventory will be revalued and its item costs rearranged.
For any open period, you can specify the date of the IPV transfer. You can override the default date for each transaction on the Transaction Open Interface form before submitting them for update.
You can only run the transfer process for one organization at a time.
You can only specify one adjustment account when running this transfer process. You can make changes to the material account for each adjustment transaction on the Transaction Open Interface form.
Note: The Invoice Variance Transfer is listed as an average cost update in the Item Cost History or View Material Transaction inquiry.
    Navigate to Transfer Invoice Variance:
    1. Select Transfer Invoice Variance to Inventory Valuation.
    2. Select following parameters:
    Transfer Description (Optional)
    Item Range
    Specific Item
    Category Set
    Specific Category
    Invoice Option
    Specific Project
    Adjustment Account
    Invoice Cutoff Date
    Automatic Update
If you choose Yes, the process automatically updates the inventory.
If you choose No, the process creates cost update open interface transactions and submits them to the Inventory Interface Manager. You can then run the Invoice Transfer to Inventory Report, review it, and submit transactions using the Inventory Transaction Open Interface manager. See: Viewing and Updating Transaction Open Interface Activity.
    3. Choose OK.
    4. Choose Submit.

  • Product Price Variance

    Hi,
Im doing a Product Price Variance report and have determined the datasources in BI Content:
2LIS_03_BF (Goods Movement from Inventory Management)
    0CO_PC_ACT_05 (Material Valuation Prices)
    0VENDOR_TEXT (Vendor Number Texts)
    0MATERIAL_TEXT (Material Number)
Do i replicate only these datasources from RSA5 and take them into BI? Or do i need any other?
Would these take the master data texts for material number and vendor number?
Can i load the master data text directly into the cube or do i have to create a Infoobject and assign it as an info provider?
    Thanks

Do i replicate only these datasources from RSA5 and take them into BI? Or do i need any other?
Activate them in RSA5 , now you will find them in RSA6.
Replicate in BI using App Comp or FM.
Would these take the master data texts for material number and vendor number?
    Yes
Can i load the master data text directly into the cube or do i have to create a Infoobject and assign it as an info provider?
You load master data into infoobjects - 0Vendor & 0Material

  • Customs Invoice Verification for Partial Qty

    Dear All,
I want to do invoice verification for partial quantity of p.o. only in miro for customs vendor. How can the amount will automatically comes in miro screen if i give partial quantity received in that. Suggest me
    Thanks & Regards,
    Radhika

    Hi BSA,
    Fistly FYI.
Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification must be defined in the purchase order.
In goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification, each goods receipt is settled separately.
Goods receipts and invoices are matched up in the purchase order history.
In goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification, it is not possible to post an invoice before the first goods receipt.
In goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification, the invoice quantity should not be greater than the actual delivered quantity. However, it is possible to post a larger invoice amount. You cannot “reassign” invoices from one goods receipt to another.
When purchase-order-based Invoice Verification has been defined, all items in the purchase order are presented on the selection screen or in the item list.
The suggested quantity is the difference between the total delivered quantity and the total invoice quantity.
When you enter an invoice using the delivery note number or goods receipt document number, the system looks for the corresponding purchase order item and then proceeds in the same way as when you enter an invoice using the purchase order number.
If there are several goods receipts and invoices for a purchase order item, the purchase order history does not tell you which invoice came from which vendor.
For your case it needed to do a MIRO by one GR of one PO.
And in MIRO you can list items by GRs for a PO with GR-based IV.  It is true. You did two GRs for one PO then you should have two lines in MIRO, I am sure. Please check more after having a rest.
    Regars,
    Bruce
