Don't use Best Buy Delivery if you are thinking about it...Just lies, lies, and more lies..

Wow, where should I even started?
We brought a 55 in TV from the local store last Sunday, and schedule a delivery yesterday (6/6/2015).
They called us the night before delivery date, to confirm the delivery on Saturday from 1:30- 3:30pm.
We waited until 3pm, and finally received a call saying "they were delayed a little bit", and moved the time to 5:30-6:30pm. Ok, not good, but we can understand.
But of course, they didn't show up on time. We decided to call them again at 6:22pm, and were told they were 45 minutes away...
7:30pm, after a hour, we called them AGAIN, and was told they are 25 mins away.
We had another delivery scheduled from Lowes at 8pm. Lowes showed up on time, and installed our fridge and washer/dryer professionally. They left around 8:30pm.
WHERE IS OUR TV FROM BEST BUY THEN???? Don't they supposed to show up before the Lowes???
We called them again and again, but nobody answered...well, I guess it is a Saturday, and they went home WITHOUT even bother to tell us.
Last time we spoke, you told me you are 25 mins away. Is this a lie? or you just decide to go back to your sweet home after we talk on the phone?!
Sunday (6/7), I called the warehouse again in the morning, but no one answers, the voicemail is full as well (So I think we are NOT the only one experienced this ridicuous issue). Then we called the 1-888 number, and explained what happened. The customer rep on the phone couldn't get hold of the local warehouse neither, and told us to call back within several hours. (They did give us a case number: {removed per forum guidelines} though) We called back before noon, and was told they are not open on Sunday, and they don't know when will be get our TV delivered, maybe Monday morning.
Ok, here is the thing, we have to work Mon- Fri, that's why we requested to deliver on Saturday. And come on, Best Buy, it is just a TV, it is not huge appliances that take you that much time.
I can see why there was delay, ( not saying we were happy about it though...) But you could at least called us to let us know before you went home on our scheduled delivery date!!!! And were all those "45 mins away", "25 mins away" things lies????
Dear Best Buy Coustomer Relations,
I am expecting a responce back from you in a few business days from today, 06/07/15. Your responce should be sartisfying us. If we don't hear anything back from you or your responce to us doesn't satisfy us, then we will go talk to someone higher in your organization. Thank you,

Hello MengyaLiu, and welcome to the forum,
I’m honestly not sure why our delivery team would have told you they were on their way to your home and then not arrive without an explanation as to why. Our delivery agents should be notifying you of all necessary changes in their delivery schedules, as we realize the inconvenience any possible delay may cause, so it’s regrettable to hear we failed you in this regard. I truly apologize for any frustration this oversight may have caused.
While I’ve personally documented your feedback here at the corporate office to ensure something of this nature doesn’t happen in the future, I’m glad to hear our delivery team was able to make this right and successfully delivered your TV yesterday. Please feel free to let us know how it went and if you have any further questions for me. I’ll be glad to help.
Best wishes,

  • IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT FIOS

There service is sooooo bad you are better off without it!  Do not get Verizon.  You WILL be in the same world of regret as the rest of us stuck in their contract!  Their CS is awful.  You can not imagine how insanely poor!   On the first day some guy eating a taco told me I have to wait 30 days until I can use any Verizon service.  Supervisors agreed with him.  Finally when I was going to cancel they told me it was **bleep** and eventually was able to sign into MY VERIZON.  The features are VERY difficult to sort through and use.  I don't even bother trying anymore.  I will not bother calling CS to help...they are too busy patronizing to help.  Maybe they should soend time training their empployees on how the sytem works rather than 1million "sorry to hear that"...

I think we have a Troll. This post is utter nonsense.
I've been a Verizon/Fios customer for almost two years now, and while the customer service is certainly not the greatest (they have NEVER been patronizing me nor ever been the least bit rude, they just aren't the quickest bunch on the planet),  the overall product is the best and I do not regret for a single solitary second switching from worst cable company (love the Roberts family, NOT) on the planet to Fios.
And I've had no problems using any of the functions, nor do I find them "difficult to sort through". I have and will continue to highly recommend fios every single time over the 500 pound gorilla philadelphia cable company.

  • I updated my iPod Touch and it's not giving me Siri. It specifically told me that ios6 would give me Siri, but it didn't. Just saying, if you are thinking about updating your iPod touch for Siri, don't. It's just a disappointment. What should I do?

    It's very annoying.

It specifically told me that ios6 would give me Siri, but it didn't.
Actually, it did not specifically say it was coming to the 4th gen Touch.
From the page about Siri, http://www.apple.com/ipod-touch/features/ it states at the bottom of the page:
Siri is available in Beta only on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires Internet access. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area.

  • Best Buy delivery is horrible

Best Buy delivery is really, really unbelievable. The online department (www.bestbuy.com), 1-800-BestBuy representatives and warehouse/delivery men obviously don't work together and don't access the same information.
On December 1, I ordered a Samsung TV online and during checkout scheduled the delivery on December 5.
On December 4, I received a pre-recorded call from 1-800-BESTBUY to confirm the delivery between 3:30pm and 5:30pm on December 5.
On December 5, I took time off from work and stayed at home. But no delivery came. I didn’t receive any call from Best Buy. There was no voice message on my cell phone. I called 1-800-BESTBUY, but the rep couldn’t find out what was going on. I sent an email to [email protected] with order number to check delivery status, but nobody responded until today.
On December 8, I called 1-800-BESTBUY again. A rep rescheduled delivery to December 12.
On December 11, I received a pre-recorded call from 1-800-BESTBUY and an email from [email protected] to confirm delivery between 1:30pm and 3:30pm on December 12.
                Your appointment is tomorrow
    Hello Beaumont:
The big day is almost here! We are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, Friday, December 12, 2014, between the hours of 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. We'll call you by 9PM the night before your appointment with an estimated arrival time window at the phone number(s) you provided at the time of purchase (with either live or pre-recorded calls).
On December 12, I took time off again. But there was no delivery, no phone call or voice message. I called 1-800-BESTBUY, the rep said the status she saw is the item is in transit. She said delivery is between 7am and 7pm, and the delivery truck may be just late. After I told her the missed delivery a week ago, she put me on hold, called warehouses and had them contact the driver to see where he is. Finally, she found no one was intended to deliver me the TV today. So she rescheduled delivery to December 16.
I can’t believe how broken the whole system is. Lesson learned: cherish life to live longer, stay away from Best Buy.

    Hi beaumont,
While I'm glad your TV has been delivered, I'm so sorry to hear that you took time off of work twice to no avail and that our representatives weren't more helpful in solving this for you.

  • Read this if you are thinking of ordering infinity...

Ordered infinity on 1st of June, had my conformation email after ordering stating that i would have a engineer come and do some work. asking me to be at home 8 Am till 1 PM (even though i ticked the box that said you don't have to be there for this visit as it will be external work). 13th came and no visit. OK i thought no problem as its external work no drama (lost a days pay though).
2 days later bt emailed me saying" sorry we missed you, your new appointment for the engineer will be the 18th also asking me to be at home for this visit 8AM till 1PM, Bt never turned up for this one aswell, No phone call email or text message to say why they have not turned up.( another days pay lost) so i rang bt 0800 800 150... 45 minutes later and 2 bt employees from India that could not help, they put me through to bt infinity division in England. Sharon apologised for the 2 visits that was missed but could not understand why. Sharon put me on hold so she could ring the engineers, 15 minutes later i was told that they would not be coming out today (18th) and she would put a message in there departments diary for some one to ring me on the 19th to explained why and put me on the high priority list.
7.30 pm on the 19th No phone call!!!!! so i rang again 0800 800 150. 20 minutes later and 1 lady from India i got through to the infinity diversion again and asked why no ones have rang me like i was told and promised (Sharon words not mine). Vicky from bt infinity could not believe what had happened to me and was shocked, my activation date is on the 25th and Vicky told me that i should not have had the 2 visits from the engineers until the activation date was completed ( ok £200 notes down the drain for taking 2 days off for no reason) she promised me that some one would ring me tomorrow 21st i told her i have already been feed that line yesterday but she promised they would.
guess what happened...... no phone call....... so after me ringing bt at 7.30pm tonight and finding that the department was closed via a pre recorded message (8pm is the time they close i checked) i tried one more time and got though to a lady that did not have a clue even after reading the notes on the system. she tried to ring the engineers department but got no answer. WHAT A F... JOKE...
I have never had such bad and disorganised customer sevice in my life ( i work in Customer Service myself)
I will be ringing bt back tomorrow in the afternoon to find out if there is anyone that can really help me find out what is happening to my order.
ps. to top it all off my home hub and welcome pack was due today 21st. that did not arrive and i have tracked it. its in isle of man rang the post office and they said it had been sent there by mistake (i live in Chester) now i am worried that if everything goes ahead on the 25th i will not have the home hub in time to start using infinity lol
if you are thinking of ordering infinity good luck you are going to need it after my experience

I feel your pain Bro, had a lot of hassle when I first got infinity, and lately had a bit of hassle before and during the upgrade. There is a serious communication error between various departments at BT and this is something they need to sort out. In my opinion it has lost them a great deal of custom and a great deal of money. As I am from N. Ireland I ended up having to get in touch with my local office in Belfast to sort the problem out and they did it flawlessly without any messing about.
    1. Had engineer out regarding slow speed and I suspected it was a Retail server problem, engineer told me full speed was coming into the premises and reported this back to BT and Openreach.
    2. BT said there was no problem with the server, sent another engineer, same thing...etc etc...Reported back to Openreach.
    3. Openreach said there WAS a problem and that they have now fixed it, guess what...not fixed.
    4. Another engineer call out, same thing.
    5. This went on and on for 3 weeks
    Ended up doing this:
    1. a. Contacted local crew in Belfast.
    2. a. got a call back the next morning and was told they will not be sending anymore engineers.
    3. a. Line fixed within 2 hours of the call, and yes, you guessed it. Server problem all along.
BT needs to stop automatically blaming a lot of the faults on the end user and instead listen to the customer or they would have had this job fixed that same day. Instead they wasted money sending loads of engineers which could have been available for other installations etc.

  • I was trying to restore my itouch and when i pressed "restore" and then pressed "restore and update", another sign popped up saying "The ipod "ipod" could not be restored. The disk you are attempting is full. Removing files and empty the recycle bin

i was trying to restore my itouch because it showed on my itouch the itunes bar on top and the charger on bottom so i went on itunes and when i pressed "restore" and then pressed "restore and update", another sign popped up saying "The ipod "ipod" could not be restored. The disk you are attempting is full. Removing files and empty the recycle bin will free up additional space. What do I do?!?!?! please help me ASAP

    Hi
I followed this guy's instructions and it worked:
    http://evsiphone.blogspot.com/2009/05/iphone-iphone-could-not-be-restored.html
I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.
    Cheers for you help.

  • Best Buy Delivery - OPTIMA - YUK

    My Experience:
5/31/14-bought dishwasher, delivery & set up, scheduled for 6/1/14.  Told phone call would come the night prior with a 2 hr. window.  Did receive email saying delivery was set.
6/9/14-received 2nd email confirming delivery would come 6/10/14, no phone call.
6/10/14-called Best Buy - couldn't find the delivery scheduled, on the phone for 1 1/2 hrs., then told by the Clerk, it wasn't Best Buys problem, Optima (delivery company) did not pick it up, wouldn't be delivered, I needed to call Optima and complain to them.
6/10/14-called Optima- said they couldn't help it, they didn't have a tech for my area, wouldn't get delivered, but someone from Optima would call me back to resolve, phone call never came.
6/10/14-Called Best Buy back, talked w/associate, he called Optima, returned my phone call, said he was working on it, I would be called back between 4-6pm, call came @ 730pm.  Sorry no delivery today.  He would work on it @ 800am on 6/11/14
6/11/14-Called Best Buy @ 1215pm, no call had come to me.  I was told the assc. working the problem would call me back, he did @ 1245pm, couldn't resolve my issue, he's still working on it, but, no delivery today.  Will let me know when it can be delivered.
Took the day off work for delivery, spent approx. 5 hrs on the phone with various people, washed dishes 3 times as I have a large gathering scheduled for the weekend.  This was all explained to several people to no avail, again, sorry, can't do anything about it.

DEFINITLY TIME TO RETHINK YOUR DELIVERY CONTRACT WITH "OPTIMA"

    Hi barbella58,
Wow, this is certainly way more contacts than necessary when making an appliance purchase with Best Buy! While I definitely thank you for making your purchase with us, I sincerely apologize for any delay you’ve experienced with the delivery and setup of your dishwasher. Rearranging your schedule due to an installation appointment can often be difficult, and I further apologize if you made arrangements, only for your appointment to not occur.
I reached out to Optima on your behalf, and spoke with one of their representatives. They spoke to the previous details about not having a technician in your area, and it sounds like this is the main reason for the delay. Your installation and delivery order is in the hands of Optima’s escalations team, and they generally have a 24-48 hour turnaround time for a response. I was advised that they would be reaching out to you once a proper technician is lined-up to perform the services.
Please let me know if you don’t hear from Optima, and I’ll happily assist further. Thank you for registering on the forums and sharing your concerns with us, and don’t hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.

  • Best Buy delivery - horrible and not managed

I purchased a TV last weekend from a Best Buy in Houston, TX. The salesperson never told me that UPS is the delivery service. The TV was supposed to be delivered today. No call from anyone. I have called the 888-best-buy number three times today and told different information each time. The first time your employee tells me it will show up in 30 minutes and hangs up. The last time i called i asked for a supervisor as I am told that UPS is delivering the TV. They keep telling me it is in transit and that is all they can tell me. If the tv does not show up, i am returning to the store for a refund. This is completely ridiculous. Your team know nothing about your delivery model, how it works, and how to escalate. Someone needs to get in touch with me and resolve this.

    Hi RahulB,
The purchase of a brand-new TV is by no means a small investment, so I can imagine why you'd be concerned!
I've had the chance to review your account and it's my understanding that Allan, another member of our social media team, responded to the e-mail you sent on the 1st. If you haven't already done so, I'd encourage you to check both your inbox and junk mail folders for that message. I'd also encourage you to follow up with Allan if you have any other questions or if you're still in need of assistance.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, as well as for taking the time to post.

  • PCM vs. CDMA using Best Buy Movie Mode

I just downloaded the Best Buy Movie Mode application .  This feature is to work with translating
end credits of the Dispecable Me movie and also silence your ringer and dim your backlight.
I first open the app and enter the movie mode, click continue and get the following message:  "This Blackberry device is not capable of recording PCM!  Non-CDMA only."
    WTF
Can someone tell me what is going wrong here?  I thought my smartphone was a CDMA devices since I was able to program my voice dialing ...

  • When you are pulling music from a hard drive and it says music can not be found, is there a way to stop it from doing that every time I play music from my computer? It used to find all music now it only finds 1 song at a time

When pulling music from a harddrive and it say music can not be found, is there a way to stop this from happening every time I play music on my computer? It used to find all music when serching for song but now it only finds 1 at a time. I have over 2000 songs so I can't go through this every time.

    1) However I do not want to move my itunes Music onto the flash drive, only my Movies, and want to keep my music on my hard drive.
    Is this possible?
    Yes
    2) Do the MacBook Air's not have a separate program other than itunes that can play movies? If so, is there a program I can get to solve this problem? I went onto the App Store to see if there was something I could download, but all the apps were for creating DVD's, not simply playing them.
If you can play the movies in iTunes, you should be able to open the movie files using Quicktime, which should already be on your system.  If you have already transferred the files to your flash drive, open the flash drive in Finder, and hold control when you click on the movie file (or right click if you have the enabled) and select Open With Quicktime Player.  This should play the movie directly from the flash drive.
If you want to set all .m4v files to open with Quicktime by just double clicking on the file, you can follow the steps here: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2573/os_x_how_to_change_default_application_to_op en_file_type/
    3) If 1. & 2. questions are solvable, will it then be safe to delete the movies from my itunes?
You can move the TV shows to your flash drive by dragging them from the iTunes window to your flash drive in Finder or the flash drive icon on the desktop.  When you are sure everything is transferred over to your external device, you can delete the movie from iTunes.  I recommend playing the videos from the flash drive first before deleting them in iTunes.
To delete the videos from iTunes, you can highlight them and press the delete key on your keyboard.  In the next prompt, you would want to move it to the trash so that it is deleted from your internal hard drive.
    I hope that helps!

  • Does texting on an unlimited texting plan use 3G if you are not linked to a WiFi network and your 3G plan is limited ?

I have an iPhone 3 with unlimited texting and a 450MG 3G plan, but my WiFi went down 4 days ago and is still out.
Does texting without connected to WiFI use my 3G ? Or does texting require something else besidesthe 3G and doesn't use 3G ?
    Thanks ! (:

SMS messages do not use cellular data. They travel over the voice network. MMS messages do use cellular data, but I do not believe they count against your data allowance, only your messaging allowance (this may vary by carrier).
iMessages DO use cellular data if you are not connected to WiFi.
