Download Smartform or Sapscript layout into Excel

Hi ,
Is there any way to download the sapscript layout or smartform layout into excel . I know that there is a report to download layout from spool into pdf with the RSTXPDFT4 program . But my requirement is to download the layout into excel and then use the excel sheet to manipulate the data.

  • Downloading BW report from Portal into Excel

    Hi All,
    When a user is trying to download a BW report from Portal into Excel, it is prompting for User id and password of backend.
    But since portal has SSO this should not happen??
    Once the Uid and Pwd has been entered the report works fine.
    Why is this happening ??

    Please note that this example maybe slow at filling the excel table
    (perhaps four fields per second on a 900 MHz machine - almost 30 seconds
    for a short example).
    To get the data on properties and methods - there is a bit of smoke and mirrors
    going on here; they are EXCEL properties and methods, not sap ones - so you need
    to look at excel help to determine how a particular function is structured. then
    build the block in sap, as shown in the example.
    If you only want to transfer the data to Excel like when you transfer the data from
    ALV to Excel simply use the Function Modules:

    If you want more modifications when you transfer it to Excel use:
    XXL_FULL_API

  • Regarding Downloading of Report[List] output into Excel Sheet

    Hi i have written one Classical report. I got the output Correctly.
    Now i want to download that data into Excel Sheet in excatly the way it displayed in List[Report] output.
    I had followed the path <b>System->List->Save->LocalFile->Spread Sheet</b> and tried to download the same.
    Though it is downloaded it has not come in exact format.
    Now what i want is to add a button above that report & write a program in that to download that data into Excel Sheet.
    Can anybody tell me how can solve this issue. If i follow above procedure will the data[List Output] be downloaded into exact format into excel.
    If anybody knows other way please sujjest.

    In the program, I am downloading only the list.. The description of report outputted in the beginning of the report is not downloaded to excel.
    What has to be taken into consideration is that, the structure of the table i_data1 which contains the data to be downloaded to the table.

  • How to download Data from Database directly into excel

    I have a requirement to download very large quantity of data from database into Excel file.
    But condition is excel file should have only 65,536 rows in a single spread sheet(that's the limit i suppose),if i have more data points(rows) than it should be stored into different spreadsheet.......this continues so there can be many spread sheets in a single excel file.
    Data size can be 1 GB or more.
    Also specific naming conventions need to be followed for giving name to excel as well as different spread sheets in it.
    Please see if someone could help me out.

    My requirement is not saving the print preview of sapscript to excel.
    My requiremnet is, After finshing the sapscript desing , we will be calling this sapscrit form in print program using function module WRITE_FORM.
    After writing all the code and all, after executing the report program it will show the out put with data.
    Now this output as it is (i.e boxes, logo ) i wants to download to excel.

    I need to create a report with Chinese header title, how can I put in these chinese word in my report?
    And after all, I will need to download this report to Excel sheet.

    We need to include CODE PAGE in the FM. This will help SAP to under the language which you are uploading.
    Use GUI_UPLOAD FM to upload the excel sheet. This has a parameter CODE PAGE, which you can pass to the FM.

    i'm using the function module  SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT to download data of internal table into excel . now i need to know . when user presses the button for downlading it should download after downloading if he again tries to download it in the same  should not allow him to download or  it should refresh the excel of the speecific path and then it should downlaod . please let me know how  make it.
