Downloaded music into default location, how to redownload into correct location?

I'll keep this short:
I updated the location for my music downloads, I had to reboot my machine (for other reasons). I didn't think twice about checking the download location and downloaded all my music, much to the frustration that all the music downloaded into the default location which i've had to delete.
How do i redownload all my music again now its pointing to the correct location? I can't see I have any ability to download my music again.
Thanks

  • How to download music into itunes

    Hii,
can anyone tell me how to download music into itunes, the present version?

Buy the music from iTunes and it downloads automatically.
There is no other way to download content into iTunes.
Importing music into iTunes is different. Is that maybe what you intended to ask?
If so, go to File > Add File/Folder to iTunes.

    What computer operating system?
And, where is the music coming from, iTunes? If so, that is a known problem with Premiere Elements (just about any version).
The answer has been to convert the iTunes music to the wav version in iTunes.

  • When I download music into Itunes and move songs into playlists, Itunes has twice randomly deleted all recently added songs from the playlists they have been added to.  It is driving me crazy.  Has anyone else had this problem?

When I download music into Itunes on my PC, every song is transferred into a specific playlist.  Twice now when I have opened up Itunes, all the recent songs that have been moved into playlists have been deleted by Itunes.  I now have to go back and figure out which songs are missing and re-add them.  It is driving me crazy. I have 10,000 songs and now have no idea which ones are missing and which ones have been retained.
Please help.  Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hi TRuss08,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like songs are missing from iTunes on your PC, and need to be re-added. I know that can be a frustrating situation.

  • HT4528 how do i download music into my itunes account?

How do i download music off my computer into my itunes account?

Open iTunes and go to "my computer" . Open your music file or any other file in "my computer" that contains music . Keep both iTunes and "my computer" open and drag the music from "my computer " into your music library in "my computer".

  • Relocating and organizing downloaded music into "My Music"

I recently just switched to a mac and I'm having a problem getting Itunes to organize my downloaded music. I have done a search, but haven't found a previous post with my problem. With Itunes on Windows XP, I could download a song into any folder, when I imported the song to Itunes, the song would be "cut" from the download folder and "pasted" into "My Music" and organized by artist.
On my Mac, this is not happening. I go to File>add to library find the song on my HD and press import. The song imports to my itunes song list, however the song remains in the original location. This is very annoying. I like all of my music to be located in "Music" and do not want to have to manually move every song and create folders for each song.
    Any help would be welcomed.
    +My current itunes settings+
    Itunes 8.1.1
    Itunes music folder location:
    Macintosh HD:Users:ACM:Music:
    Keep iTunes music folder organized
Do not copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library

I like all of my music to be located in "Music" and do not want to have to manually move every song and create folders for each song
This is what happens on a Mac too. iTunes organises your Music if you ask it to. If you check "Keep iTunes Music folder organised" and "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" then your music WILL be organised into folders etc.
However, if you want to organise your own Music, uncheck those two Preferences and iTunes will simply create pointers to all your music without creating an unnecessary copy. You will still only have one copy of everything.
The choice is left up to you. That's the big difference between Windows and Mac.

  • Download music into itunes from cloud

I want nothing to do with the Cloud.  My phone was automatically put on the cloud with an account even though I specifically said I do not want it. Now my music purchased is automatically being put on the icloud and not directly on my computer hance when transfered to my phone it is on the cloud and I cannot access it if I don't have a strong signal. Also It is not on y hard dive on my computer but on the cloud so If I am on a plane I have no access to it. I have turned my phone completely of cloud but now it will not download music from itunes as it is not actually on my computer.
How do I get music off the cloud and on my computer and completely cut my computer from the cloud.
    thank you
    michael

Music purchased from iTunes Store is always in the Cloud.  That's where Apple stores it and that's where it starts out.  If you want it on your computer you need to download it to your computer.  If you buy it on your phone you can set it to be automatically downloaded to your computer too, or you can transfer it from your phone to your computer.

  • Ipod classic won't download music into itunes

When I attach my ipod classic to my computer/itunes, it won't allow me to transfer the music or playlists from my ipod to itunes. However, it allows my itouch to transfer music into itunes.

Your iPod Classic and your iTunes are both functioning normally. You can sync music, videos etc into your iPod Classic from iTunes (as you are) however you cannot do the opposite as you want to do.
There are third party software out there which can make this possible. Do a search on Google and you will run into that third party software.

  • Downloading music into ipod nano

Hi, I'm a new apple user.  Can I upload music into iTunes from CDs?

Yes, but not directly. First add the music to library by going to Files > Add to Library, then open the CD folder and make a selection of musics you want to add. Then perform the sync. Make sure the "sync music" in ipod menu is selected before you sync. Cheers!

  • Downloading Music Into the Genre Fold

I have a Zen Sleek, and while I love it, I have a small problem with it. I listen to a lot of Opera and Broadway Musicals. And I would like to be able to download an Opera or Musical in the Genre area as a whole CD and not individual songs. As it stands now, when I download a CD it breaks it up in the genre folders by the artist who sang it. I don't want that. I want to be able to download an opera into the genre folder as a whole CD and not by artist. Is there a way to do that? Thanks.

If you have one CD/album featuring lots of artists, each artist will be listed separately in Genres for the tracks they have sung. It sounds like perhaps you should make sure each track on the CD has the same 'Album' tag and then browse by 'Album' not 'Genre', where you will then get a whole list of tracks on that album in order of track number.

  • How do you delete files, applications, downloads, music, movies, not used?

When i turned on my new Macbook in the morning today, i was at 56gb's, out of 80gb. Now it states its a 53gb's. i obtained some music files but wish now to delete them off my computer. how do i do this? how can i get precious gb's back?
isnt there something on the macbook to delete unwanted things? like control panel on windows? also need to delete photos and music and one movie. how do i do this? simply drag to trash can or is there more?
there has to be something already on my macbook that can delete and manage my unwanted files so i can attain more gb's back.

In spotlight when I search Superman, it find it. I click it
    and automatically Quicktime opens.
Clicking on the file will open the file. To the right of any items found with a Spotlight search is a light blue circle with an i in the center short for info. Click on this which provides the location of the file.
When downloading files from the internet with Safari, etc. you can designate a default location to save the downloaded files. I choose the Desktop and if the download is something I want to keep, I transfer it to the location of my choice.
2nd: Music. It did not originate from iTunes but is on iTunes now.
I deleted the original music folder with about 10 songs by taking it
to the trash can and emptying it...but its still playing in iTunes.
Would deleting it on iTunes completly delete it and providing me
    with more gb's?
Yes as previously provided - if you have "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" selected at Advanced under the General tab for iTunes preferences (which I believe is the default setting), then there are two copies of the music you obtained if the music was downloaded or placed on the hard drive.
The links that you provided... will they take care of these issues?
Can they EASILY help me delete unwanted items so i can obtain
    back my gb's ?
The links I provided will not help you with the downloaded music and movie issue. I would create a music named folder to place downloaded music and a movie named folder to place downloaded movies, etc. This way, you know where any downloaded data is stored/located.
After importing any downloaded music into iTunes keeping "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" selected, you can then delete the original downloaded files and the same when importing any downloaded pictures to iPhoto.
The first link I provided includes information on deleting applications and then 2nd link provides suggestions on freeing up hard drive space.
