DTW can't update records

Hi all,
on B1 8.8 PL14, I have to recreate data for the FA add-on. I can create new records, but in no way I can update existing records, whether I pick Update or Create and Update. When trying to update, it's always the same error, the record is not found. If I try to create these same records, the I am told it failed because record already exists.
Did you experienced such an issue ?

Hi GordonDu,
I should have been more precise. I am using DTW to recreate "base" data, like asset areas, account determination, etc. For this, the only way is DTW. I would need to update some records, but it will not let me. Adding new records is fine.
For a record that exists, If I try to add it, I am told it already exists, but if try to update it, I am told it is not found. That do not make sense. I have the to do a lot of work manually, which consume time.

Can not Update records

I user SQL developer editor to update records.
when I execute
select count(*) from TBL where to_date(ADATE,'dd.MM.YYYY')<to_date('12.12.2007','DD.MM.YYYY')
it returns 750000 records
but with same condition when I execute
update TBL set acol=-1 where to_date(ADATE,'dd.MM.YYYY')<to_date('12.12.2007','DD.MM.YYYY')
it dows not update record

DTW- BP Master Update, Record Key

Hi,
When our BP list was first loaded with DTW, a record key was assigned to each BP. Since then, new BP master files have been created manually within B1. I would now like to update the BP files using DTW.
1) How can I determine the record key of each BP to use with the template?
The field I would like to update is a UDF with a list of predefined values.
2) How should I name the UDF column header in the template?
3) Should the values be entered in each row as text or #?

Allen,
The RecordKey used during original import of BusinessPartner has not connection with the Update.
You will just need the CardCode (the primary key) to make the connection with the existing BPs in the DB.
So just fill the templates with 2 main fields, RecordKey (any running number, need not be what was originally used) and CardCode and the rest will be columns you are updating

Update record using SQL statement

I have VB6.0 and Oracle 10G Express Edition in Windows 2000 Server. My procedure in VB 6.0 can't update record in the table using SQL statement, and the Error Message is " Missing SET keyword ".

The syntax should be
UPDATE TABLE XX
SET FLD_1 = 'xxxx',
FLD_2 = 'YYYY'
WHERE ...
'AND' is improperly placed in the SET.

Update records in Reports

Actually that isn't true - you don't need to do an srw.do_sql().
You can insert/update records anywhere that you can write PL/SQL (global report triggers, formula columns, format triggers, etc.). In your case I'd recommend using a formula column (since this is guaranteed to fire once per group record).

I have a scenario wherein I insert few records into a collection table. I'm gonna filter few records from collection table based on the filter.
I want to delete the records that didn't match the filter. Right now, I'm inserting the records into a physical table and deleting from there. I do no want to use a physical table. Trying to avoid it.
Would like to delete from collection itself.

Can't update mysql records from a web page

Hi everybody,
I am beginning with Dreamweaver CS5.
I followed a video tutorial on how to visually design a data entry/update web page for a mysql database using server behaviors.
My problem is that I was able to insert records and see inserted records but when I try to update a record it doesn't work.
I don't get any error message, it just redirects me to the listing page as it's supposed to but doesn't take into account the changes I made.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to use JavaScript to work with SharePoint list.
To create list items, we can create a ListItemCreationInformation object, set its properties, and pass it as parameter to the addItem(parameters) function
of the List object.
To set list item properties, we can use a column indexer to make an assignment, and call the update() function so that changes will take effect when you callexecuteQueryAsync(succeededCallback,
failedCallback).
And to delete a list item, call the deleteObject() function on the object.

Unique data record means you can't update a record from ECC with same key.

Unique data record means you can't update a record from ECC with same key fileds right?
Details: For example i have two requests Req1 and Req2 in DSO with unique data record setting checked. on day one Req1 has a filed quantity with value 10 in Active data table. On day two Req1 can not be overwitten from ECC with Req2 with the same key fields but different value 20 in the filed quantity because of the Unique data record settings. finally the delta load fails from ECC going to DSO because of this setting. is it right?
I think we can only use unique record setting going from DSO to cube right?
Please give me a simple scenario in which we can use this setting.
I already search the threads and will assign points only to valuable information.

Unique Data Records:
With the Unique Data Records indicator, you determine whether only unique data records are to be updated to the ODS object. This means that you cannot load a data record into the ODS object the key combination for which already exists in the system otherwise a termination occurs. Only use this setting when you are sure that only unique data records are to be loaded into the ODS object (for example, single documents). A typical application of this is in the loading of mass data. It improves the load performance.

Record server behavior is only capable of updating a record when a

I would rather have the action of clicking on an HTML link
update the record, rather than having a Submit button to update the

Is this possible? How do I go about doing this?

However, this also means you will always have a link present
that bots will
hit (and thus will update your database). Is this what you're

Updated and can no longer record video

I updated to iOS4 on my 3Gs and I can no longer record video, the option to switch to video is no longer there. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for the suggestion; unfortunately, such attempts are unsuccessful. In fact, I've been experiencing this bug for quite a while (as a developer), despite several restores. From my research, there are serious issues with iOS 4.0 and the iPhone Camera app. I've submitted a bug report for this. We'll see what comes of that.

If you are in prod, its tough to write code to manipulate PSAs. First of all, you need to transport your Program. Also, if you make a mistake, you can potentially change other PSAs.
If you insist, get the name of the PSA. Go to RSA1, PSA tab. THere, right click on your infosource and select Delete PSA. DON'T DELETE anything in this screen. Just copy the Table name (look around, you will find it there). Now, go to SE16 and lok at the table contennts. If you give Req, data pack, etc, you can access multiple records. Now, write the program "carefully" to access and change records in this table.
There is another way, but this will work-out for you.

DTW Error65171 when Updating Business Partners

I have gotten the following error multiple times when attempting to update Business Partners in the DTW: "Can not find this object in B1Application-defined or object-defined error65171". I have tried many different things as well as only trying to import one record with only the line num, card code, and card type and still I get this error when trying to update BP's. I have also tried using both a tab delimited and a comma delimited file. Pleae let me know if you have any related information. Thanks!

a typical situation where this kind of error occurs is when there is data in the line to be imported/updated which is not defined in SAP, e.g. in the import-file I used a tax-code which was not defined in SAP.
Furthermore I had problems with a newer version of DTW (no time to look for the version number right now). With this version it is NOT possible to UPDATE business partners. I installed an older version of DTW which was part of SAP BO 2005A SP01 PL16 (if I remember it corretly) and did the update of business partners.
To solve your problem you should inform us on the versions of SAP and DTW you are currently using, as Suda already asked you for in his reply!
