Dynadock U installations/drivers won't work on Toshiba S w/8.1

Just purchased a brand new Dynadock U, and I can't find the correct drivers, since the installation disc won't work. I tried the links with the update drivers but they always send me to the "search for a product" page.
I have a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 8.1

  • New drivers won't work for X-Fi Xtreme Gamer

I use Windows XP SP 2 with my X-Fi Xtreme Gamer.
I used the Device Manager to uninstall my old drivers (v2.5.0006), rebooted, cancelled the Windows new-hardware popup, and installed the new drivers (v2.5.0008). I had no sound immediately after the installation, though I think I should have heard mouse-clicking sounds and sounds that accompany opening and closing windows from my desktop and Windows Explorer. After restarting after the installation, I still had no sound.
To restore sound, I uninstalled the new drivers and reinstalled the old ones.
Has anyone else encountered this trouble Does anyone know what is happening

I have solved my own problem. The trouble was that using the Device Manager to uninstall my old drivers did not work. Apparently a file that needed to be deleted was not deleted, and that file prevented the new drivers from working. I finally got the new drivers to work by using the following procedure, which except from some notes I have inserted, was obtained by email from Creative support:
    1. Go to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs and un-install all listings related to your audio card. Do not restart your computer when prompted so.
    2. Go to Control Panel, and switch to Classic View. Click System, Hardware tab, Device Manager button and delete all sound cards entries in Sound, Video and Game Controllers as well as any previous sound card entries from the Device Manager. ?Note: Personally, to get to Device Manager, I don?t follow these directions. I do this: click the Windows Start button + E, look to the left and right-click My Computer, click Properties, click Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
    3. Reboot the computer and cancel out of any driver installation if you are prompted. Insert the Creative Sound Blaster installation CD into your CD-ROM dri've. Exit from the installation wizard if it autoruns.
    4. Click Start, Run and then Browse. Browse to Z:\Audio\Drivers\CTZAPXX.EXE, where Z represents the CD Rom Dri've. Choose YES if you receive a prompt "Overwrite existing shared creative audio driver files?" NOTE: This CTZAPXX.EXE file could not be found on my X-Fi Xtreme installation disk by using the Z:\Audio\Drivers\CTZAPXX.EXE path. I had do use the Windows Search engine to do a search on my X-Fi Xtreme installation disk. After finding it, I highlighted the CTZAPXX.EXE program, opened it, and continued with these driver-uninstallation instructions. This seems to be a critical step. If your installation disk doesn't have this file, or if you don't have an installation disk, I suggest doing a Web search for CTZAPXX.EXE. It's a Creative Update Utility, so I don't think it will harm your computer. But I use Windows XP, and I don't know anything about Vista.
    5. Select Driver un-installation for WDM drivers and click OK.
    6. When prompted to restart, say No.
    7. Click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
    8. Check the box next to Selecti've Startup and deselect Load Startup Items.
    9. Select the SERVICES tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services.
    10. Uncheck all results and click OK.
    1. Browse to the C:\Temp folder and C:\Windows\TEMP (if it exists) - all files and folders in the temp folder need to be either deleted or moved to a new folder. ?NOTE: I had to go to my C:\Windows\TEMP file to do this step. Also, I took care to copy and paste all of these TEMP files to a new folder before I tried deleting them. Then I deleted all the Windows\TEMP files that I could. Some would not delete. Indeed some of these files could not be copy and pasted to the new folder. But that was okay. I just left alone those files I could not copy and delete, and I proceeded to delete all of the other files. The TEMP files that I could not delete did not affect my uninstallation of old sound drivers or the installation of new sound drivers.
    2. Browse to Program Files, Creative and delete the Sound Blaster Folder - if you get a file that won't delete, right click on the file, click Properties and clear all the attributes. The file should then be able to be deleted.
    3. Empty the Recycle Bin, and reboot the computer.
    4. If you wish to install your new sound drivers, do so now. Otherwise, go to the next step. If you do install you new drivers?which I would do?don?t restart after the installation. Do the next two steps first.
    5. Click on Start, Run. Type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
    6. Select Normal Startup, and press the OK button.
    7. Reboot the computer
    8. At this point I copy-pasted all those Windows\TEMP files from my new folder back to their proper place in Windows\TEMP. Then I deleted the new folder. While restoring these TEMP files to the Windows\TEMP file, I got a couple of messages telling me these files already existed. I clicked No. That is, I did NOT replace or overwrite any existing files in the Windows\TEMP folder.
    9. The new sound drivers should now be working.

  • Service Desk 6.2 Installation/Update won't work

    Hi there,
we have ServiceDesk 6.1 installed on SLES 11 SP1 and try to update to 6.2.
As described in the manual I uninstalled the appicacation using the uninstaller and installed the new one with the java installer. No errors so far... only the message "your Service Desk URL is..." is empty.
After the installation went through I have no website on the defined port that answers my requests. Netstat tells me that there is no application listening in the defined port.
Even if I manually start the startup.sh shell script nothing is listening after that on the port.
If I remve Service desk 6.2 and install Service Desk 6.1 instead, I get the same message with the empty URL hint at the end of the installation, but the website works and listens on the defined port. I can then again configure the access to the db server.
So my question is what am I doing wrong?
Perhaps anyone here has a hint for me? Would be great as I am at the moment a little bit frustrated. :-(
    Thanx, Andy

Sorry, i didn't experience the problems you see. I started with 6.1 and followed the update procedure for 6.2. For the installation/setup part i had no problems at all.
Usability is something completely different, though...

  • Installed XP; Boot Camp drivers won't work.

Everything has run relatively smoothly up until i have to install the mac drivers on XP.
I installed them successfully using a leopard disk, and then the computer restarts.
Briefly before shutting down, a blue screen shows up for about one second with a bunch of data; something about an information dump (doesn't seem too out of the ordinary, but I'm mentioning it just in case).
Then the computer restarts into windows, and says it has to perform a disk check or something... it says "Press any key to skip," yet at this point not a single key on my keyboard works, so i can't skip this step.
Then it goes through a bunch of diagnostics; windows boots up and i get an error report that says software is trying to access potentially personal information, such as wi-fi rights, and other things boot camp is supposed to take control of in order to make them function.
The next step in the installation, "After your computer restarts, follow the instructions in the Found New Hardware Wizard to update your software drivers (windows XP only)," never shows up
I presume windows thinks that the boot camp drivers are a virus, and thus won't let me install them.
I do not, however, know how to fix this.
    Can anyone help ??????

I had problems with the ethernet and sound drivers following the most recent bootcamp update, which installed to deal with the trackpad issues that I was having. A pretty big mess, and the guy at the Geniius bar was very nice about saying he couldn't help.
I have discovered a repeatable problem with the update. If I completely uninstall bootcamp, and reinstall from the CD before restart, the sound an ethernet work again. I would be afraid that nothing would work (like the CD rom) if I restarted in windows sans drivers. Repairing/updating from the most current update (2.1.1 (?)) available kills both sound and wired ethernet. Repeat the procedure, and everything is fine again.
Interestingly enough, the trackpad issues seem to not have reappeared.
Opinion: the 2.1.1 bootcamp update is a downdate for my new macbook, and if I have any more issues like this that kill several days, apple is going to get it back. "It just works" clearly doesn't apply to mac running windows, and for those of us who have no choice, for whatever reason, that may continue to mean no apple.
For what it's worth, one of the guys at the genius bar said a lot of his hardware didn't work in windows either. I predict an update in the future. I hope all of this gets resolved, because there's a lot to like about the mac, but the whole non-support of windows thing is a bummer and could be a showstopper for a lot of people, despite the fact that bc is advertised as a reason to switch.

  • Drivers won't work on windows 7 when i installed it on my my mac mini with os x lion

have installed windows 7 using boot camp on my mac mini with os x lion on it. But when i loaded windows 7 up it was working fine but then windows 7 wouldn't connect to wifi. It says i have to install drivers but i don't know how to.

First, hold the X key while your Mac is starting to start in OS X. Then, open Boot Camp Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities), follow the steps and mark the option to download the Windows support software. It will be downloaded onto a USB drive or DVD.
Finally, start in Windows, access to the DVD or USB drive through Windows Explorer and run the installer. When the Windows support software is installed, restart

  • P7NGM Ethernet drivers won't work

I have a MSI P7NGM-Digital motherboard. Everything else works fine, however I can't get the standard Ethernet drivers to install. I've sourced the NVIDIA MCP7A Chipset Drivers from both,
    1) here -- http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1607
    2) and even here -- http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2946&ost=others
But neither will work. Anyone have any idea where to find drivers that will enable the Ethernet hardware?
    Thanks in advance!
    The system has:
    E3110 Intel processor
2GB of 800Mhz ram (single channel)
    Seagate 500Gb ST3500630AS
    Running Win XP Pro SP3

  • Scanner and Printer Drivers Won't Work After Clean Tiger Reinstall

Installed clean copy of 10.4 and 10.4.10 blanket update because iBook was slow and seemed encumbered with something I couldn't discern. Got drivers from the web and ran permissions repair as suggested in answer in another forum, but the problem remains. Printer is Epson C88 and scanner is 2450. They worked fine before the clean reload.????

What is the full name of the printer ( Stylus, Color, etc.) and how is it connected?
If USB, check that the ports are working, if not you will need to reset them by powering down everything, and do mean everything (disconnect all power, battery bricks, etc.) let it cool down then replace them. Then boot up from the install CD and run Disk Repair plus Repair Permissions.
Also, what software are you using to scan? Have you tried Image Capture?

  • Adobe App Manager installs but won't work... "Download Error, Contact Support"

Downloaded the AAM through the creative cloud site, it installs and when run it shows this error message "Download Error, Contact Support."  I then downloaded the AAM as a package from Adobe support.  Before installing it I removed the previous install from my computer.  The program installed again but I recieved the same message.  I cannot download any apps from the Creative Cloud because of this.
I have searched the support pages and cannot find anyone having an error message like this one.

From the Creative Cloud web site, when I start a download of an app within one second the application manager opens and immediately gives me this error message.
I have not been able to download anything or sign in with my Adobe ID (using AAM).  I also get this same error message if I open the AAM from my computer.

  • My installation download won't work at all, I have Mac OS X 10.5.8 with an intel procesor, I don't understand why nothing works?

Mozilla identifies the download suitable for my laptop, but then nothing happens when I click on the download button

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

*Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded

  • OS X installation disk won't work

my brother recently gave me his old 2010 MacBook pro 13 inch. I went into disk utility and erased the disk so it would be factory reset. The problem now is that when I go to reinstall OS X Mavericks it's not available. I do have an installation disk which I had from my own MacBook which was stolen years ago but when I try to use it nothing happens. I've gone into the start up disk and the only available option is the installation disk. When I choose that it restarts and then comes to a screen that tells me to restart and that keeps happening. Is there any way to install an operation system? I feel like I've tried everything at this point for something that I feel should be so simple. Your answers are greatly appreciated.

So that disk is gray? Does it say 10.6.3 or maybe 10.6.4?
""Mac OS X cannot start up from this disk."
Open up Disk Utility and select partition.
Here's a good guide to walk you through the procedure:
    https://eshop.macsales.com/tech_center/index.cfm?page=HDDppcintelformat/HDDppcin telformat.html
Sounds like the GUID partition scheme is messed up.

  • AQM 8.5.2 installs, but won't work

Customer has an installation of AQM 8.5.2 for UCCX that we have installed....twice.  We can succesfully get through the entire setup, it validates everything, etc.  But after that the fun begins.
If you try and come back and modify the settings, it refuses to save anything.  It throws an error into the ADMIN log that says:
2012-03-28 16:30:42,614 ERROR QMPI2010 Cannot save information to DB: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\QM\config\db.properties (Access is denied)

The error code dictionary is completely unhelpful.  It tells me that QMPI2010 means it can't save info to the database, and that I should verify that Surrogate and Data API services are running (all the services are running).
I'm scratching my head on this.  It really looks like a permissions problem to me.  I've noticed with other applications that Server 2008/Windows 7 do NOT like things going in and manipulating files after installation.
    Has anyone seen this before?

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
    Identifying iPod models
    iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.
You also said: "It also will not let me download any music onto it." What happens when you try to sync music to the iPod?

Boot off your *original* Install Disk while holding down the *d key*, (not c key), then run the extended Apple Hardware Test. Some disks require you to use the Option key at bootup to select AHT. Some models have a separate AHT CD. Some have it on the Disc #2.
The Memory test can really only be trusted if it finds a problem, not if it doesn't find a problem.
