Dynamic URL for HTTP receiver adapter

Hi all,
when the XI send the http request to the target system, the format maybe like this:
header + body the body is including: Prolog, payload and Epilog
here is about the target system have a 'input' parameter(maybe string type)
is it possible to pass the 'head + body' these value(or maybe the whole http request message) into input
i mean is it possible to set the dynamic URL for http receiver adapter like this:
http://host:port/path?input=<the header and body>
i have searched the blog Dynamic Configuration of Some Communication Channel Parameters using Message Mapping
Link:[/people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping]
and the similar threads in the forum
please give me some advice
thanks in advance

When a HTTP server requests the whole message as URL parameters, then I assume that the server also requests an HTTP GET, which is not supported by XI.
Could you check this?

  • Dynamic URL for SOAP receiver adapter

    Hey!
I've been looking all over the forum for this issue. What I have seen is many good suggestions, but no one seems to have made this work.
I have tried with message mapping and TServerLocation, but when the scenario is executed, Target URL in the communication channel always overrides the suggested URL from the mapping.
Is is possible to do this dynamic configuration? Do I have to use HTTP adapter and create envelope with mapping instead? Anyone in here actually got this dynamic URL working?
    Thanks a bunch!
    regards Ole

    Hello Cengiz Aytemir,
I am stuck with a similar issue that you faced earlier. I've configured the scenario as you have suggested (Both the UDF and the CC settings). I've hard coded the Target URL as http://
I can see the dynamic URL set correctly in the MONI but the request that I am sending is not reaching the web service.
Below is the error that I am getting:

    Hi, Michal
I have read your Weblog. It makes sense to me. Thanks a lot for your help! However, I still have some questions and listed them as following. Could you please help to answer them?
<b>Q1:</b> I am new to SAP-XI. So I have no idea about TCODE-SXMB_ADM. Could you introduce more details about it?
<b>Q2:</b> The XI system I am using is running on SAP-ICC's machine. The tools I can use are:
    <b>1.</b>Builder for Integration Repository
    <b>2.</b>Builder for Integration Configuration
    <b>3.</b>System Landscape Directory
    <b>4.</b>Runtime Workbench
<b>5.</b>Administration System (for Repository, Directory, Runtime)
Please note that I do not have a complete control on this SAP-XI. Do you think whether or not I can set the timeout parameter by following the instructions provided in your Weblog?
For more details about my SAP-XI, please access the following Web page:

  • Remove namespace alias for HTTP receiver adapter

    hello all,
I have a scenario, IDOC->XML (HTTPS). Standard output of PI has ns0: as prefix for each xml tag (ns0 alias for namespace)
I want to remove the namespace alias while preserving the namespace in the output. So removing namespace reference in external definition is not a option.
Is there any way to use XMLAnonymizerBean for HTTP receiver adapter? What are other alternatives (java mapping)?
    Thanks,
    sachin

    Thanks stefan, prateek.
Prateek: I checked this blog earlier. It talks about inbound processing. My scenario is outbound HTTP and I am not sure how I can use specific adapter service as mentioned in blog in outbound case as other scenarios are using standards adapter_plain service.
Stefan: I will try this approach.

    sachin

  • Hi! I need steps for HTTP Receiver adapter

    My scenario is like this:
    HTTP(HTTP Sender adapter)->XI->File(File adapter).
For this Iam sending the data as payload in the body of HTTP. Now What am i going to do is the opposite of above scenario:
    File(FileAdapter)->XI->(HTTP Receiver Adapter)HTTP.
I would like to know what are the steps to transfer a file(xml) from File adapter to XI and from there to Http.
How to send the data using File adapter. Please suggest me some steps.
    Hoping a quick response!!!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Datta,
For a HHTP -> XI -> FILE Scenario:
    DESIGN:
    1. Create DataTypes for source and Destinations. Create elements for all the text fields of your HTTP Client so that they can all be mapped into the destination file
    2. Create MessageTypes for the two datatypes.
    3. Create Message Interfaces. The One for HTTP is the sender, Asynchronous ( as no response is expected) and one for File is receiver, asynchronous.
    4. Do the mapping. It will be mostly a one to one mapping of the fields.
    5. Create the Interface Mapping.
    Configuration:
    1. Import your Business System under your Configuration Scenario.
    2. Create 2 communication channels. One for Http as a sender and one for File as a receiver.
Check these links for the configuration part.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/64db4daf9f30b4e10000000a11466f/content.htm

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/79973cc73af456e10000000a114084/content.htm
    3. Do the Receiver Agreement for file. HTTP doesn’t need a sender agreement.
    4. DO the Receiver Determination and Interface Determination.
Weblog which talk about the same scenario:-
/people/sriram.vasudevan3/blog/2005/01/11/demonstrating-use-of-synchronous-asynchronous-bridge-to-integrate-synchronous-and-asynchronous-systems-using-ccbpm-in-sap-xi - although this weblog is
aimed at explaining the sync-async bridge.. Sriram has taken http-to-file scenario as the example
    (use case) and explained it...
Check this SDN tv demo, it has detail of HTTP adapter setup.

You should also have a HTTP client to send message to XI. In the connecting parameters to XI u have to use the URL in the pattern mentioned by Alex. U have to give all the configuration details in the URL.

  • Manipulate the URL in HTTP receiver adapter possible?

    hello together,
i have an HTTP receiver adapter. To the parameters which i can tick in XI as default (sender  party, sender service, ....) i want to add some parameters too.
who can i do that? i have read the weblog from william li. i tried to change the parameter link the comments at the end of the blog (see kurt rasmussen) but nothing happend..... the parameters are not available....
    can somebody help me?
    thanks a lot
    alex

    hello michal,
yes, i did. i took the information from http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/64dbb0af9f30b4e10000000a11466f/content.htm and tried to put some special information to URL. nothing to see.
is it mandatory to use a mapping to fill the URL parameter fields, isn't it??
i am using a port sniffer to see the URL and the fields (parameters) in it.
    thanks a lot.

  • Dynamic URL in SOAP Receiver adapter

    Hi all,
I have a scenario where I am using a SOAP receiver adapter to send a cXML document to some vendors. I need to change the URL based on the vendor number (passed by sender SRM system). So I have created a user-defined function and used in message mapping to assign the right URL to the variable TServerLocation. But the communication channel still prompts for a static URL which appears to be a mandatory field. Even though the DynamicConfiguration tab in Message Monitoring shows that the TServerLocation was correctly assigned, the scenario does not work when I put some dummy in the static URL field like 'dummy' or '*'. Any ideas on how to make the communication channel go for the dynamic URL field and ignore the static URL field? I have already selected the'Use Adapter Specific Message attributes' and 'Variable Transport Binding' check boxes. Am I referring to the correct variable that references the target URL? Also other than the two checkboxes that I mentioned, I am not displayed anything else under "Adapter Specific Message Attributes" section in the comm. channel.
    Thanks

    James,
I ve just been digging into SAP help, and have tried it too ... Looks like it doesnt work the way it is supposed to.
Anotheer point i found was, in the FILE ADAPTER, when we say ADAPTER SPECIFI ATTRIBUTES , we can select the attirbutes.. This is not possible in a SOAP adapter...
Maybe, we can only access the ADAPTER SPECIIFC ATTIRIBUTES of a SOAP adapter, but cannot set them dynamically.
Let me know if you find something on this issue.

    Bhavesh

  • Set dynamic URL in SOAP receiver adapter

    Hi,
Is this possible ? I have managed to do this with the HTTP adapter but the this time it is a Web service I am integrating to that requires SOAP 1.1 over HTTP to be used.
    Thx.
    Colin.

    Hi Stefan,
Basically the full URL I want to send the message to via the SOAP receiver is within the payload.
I can see the Target URL can be set in the communication channel but I want to override this with detail from the payload.
I have managed to use dynamic URL setting with the HTTP adapter but am a little stumped on how/if this can be done on the SOAP adapter.
Can you please expand on your comments a little please ?
    Kind regards
    Colin.

  • Code 110 Reason Error in HTTP Receiver adapter

    Hello
I am having proxy to HTTP Receiver scenario in which i am calling the target application URL through HTTP Receiver Adapter. This interface is async interface and hence i am not expecting any response from the target system.
When i execute my interface the target system receives data from XI but in SXMB_MONI it sets the status of the message as "<b>Automatic Restart</b>" with the error description as "<b>HTTP client. Code 110 reason</b>"  in HTML Code area <b><SAP:Code area="PLAINHTTP_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_CLIENT</SAP:Code></b>
This is causing multiple messages stuck in the queue and presently i am manually clearing all the messages.
i checked the quality of service of the incoming message which is correctly setted as <b>Exactly Once</b>.
    Is there any configuration missing?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Rajeev

    Hi Rajeev,
1.)Check in SMICM if your HTTP service is running or not.
2.)If its running fine then you can check whether your SSL certificate is configured properly or not.
Also follow the below mentioned links :

  • Dynamic URL for Recv HTTP (Adapter spec attribute enabled)

    Hi,
I need to have a dynamic URL for one of my cases been worked. the URL is
    httlp://:<host>/perform/XTA?serv=*&action=start
the event "action" can accept either start/stop or restart. i wanna to control this dynamically and went for recv http enabled with adapter specific message attributes. here i had enabled the check box "URL" and in parameter 1 i had given the name as "action".
in my message payload the "action" will be start/stop or restart which is handled by UDF for which the code is below:l
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey trig = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP", "UrlParamOne");
    conf.put(trig,action);
    return "";
this udf is mapped to the root node of the target...but when execute the case i get the following error
"Dynamic Header - Missing Message Attributes: URL/HTTP Destination"
    when i execute the url
    httlp://:<host>/perform/XTA?serv=*&action=start
in browser it works fine and also with fully qualified name in http recv works fine but not with dynamic settings.
    any help on it pls?

    Hi Prabhu,
Enable Adapter-Specific Message Attributes(ASMA) in receiver HTTP channel.
Dont enable checkboxes for "URL or HTTP Destination".
    Enable checkbox "Apply URL Parameters"
for parameter1 textbox give value action

  • HTTP Receiver Adapter : Dynamic URL

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I wish to build a dynamic URL for the HTTP Receiver Adapter. The URL will contain a customer number which is present in the mapping.
The help seems to suggest that this is possible :
<i>If you want to use an HTTP destination or URL set by the mapping, set the URL or HTTP Destination indicator. (The indicator displayed depends on the Addressing Type you selected above). If you set the indicator, the URL or HTTP destination set dynamically is called by HTTP.
If the message header does not contain the URL or the HTTP destination, and you have set the Fail If Adapter-Specific Message Attributes Missing indicator, the XI message is set to status System Error. If you do not set the indicator, the URL or HTTP destination defined statically in the communication channel is used.</i>
However, it is not very clear where the URL needs to be set dynamically.
Does anyone know how to achieve this ?
    Cheers
    Colin.

    hello to all,
We have a unique issue with one of our customers that is limited to 100 character URL.  The current url is http://mycompany.com/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=urn%3Agoodyear%2Ecom%3AAIT%3AInventoryCheck&interface=AITInventoryCheck_Abs&service=HTTP_AIT_InvChk&QOS=BE&sap-client=010&sap-language=EN
Is there a way to have a URL like
    http://mycompany.com/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=urn%3Agoodyear%2Ecom%3AAIT%3AInventoryCheck
and then somewhere in the process add... &interface=AITInventoryCheck_Abs&service=HTTP_AIT_InvChk&QOS=BE&sap-client=010&sap-language=EN
So the data comes to an F5 through the DMZ to the SAP webdispatcher then to the SAP XI system.
Any ideas if this is possible or how you could start with a shorter URL?
    Thanks,
    Dede

  • HTTP receiver adapter: dynamic configuration

I was told that if I have a URL and some parameters, I can use a sync HTTP receiver adapter to call a site.
I know this can be done using some kind of dynamic configuration, but I am not familiar with this adapter.
The most important question here is that I need to know if this can be done throw PI, so my question is:
Is there a parameter limit in the HTTP adapter? If so, what is the quantity of parameters that I can give to the adapter?

for the ASMA parameters you can use for the HTTP receiver adapter check
