Dynamic URLs using c:import

I am trying to bring up dynamic pages using c:import from the JSTL 1.0.
Here is the syntax:
     <c:import url="${retailerPropertiesViewProcess.shippingAndTaxText}" />
I have also tried:
     <c:import url="${<%=retailerPropertiesViewProcess.getShippingAndTaxText()}" />
I have even tried using c_rt:import with out any luck.
any suggestions are welcomed, moving to a different servlet container is out of the question due to multiple customer environments.
thanks,
Chuck

ok, i found a posting that says to use the run time tag, it works now.
here is the taglib declaration:
<%@ taglib prefix="c_rt" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core_rt" %>
here is the code:
<c_rt:import url="<%=viewProcess.getShippingAndTaxText()%>" />
thanks all
Chuck

    Use the #{ } notation. It only works in at least JSF 1.2 / JSP 2.1 / JSTL 1.2 however. In older versioned environments, you should use the ${ } notation in JSTL only. In this case you just need to make sure that the managed bean is already created and in scope.

  • Dynamic URL using HTTP sender

    Hi All,
    I am working on a HTTP-Proxy scenario wherin I have to use Dynamic URLs on the HTTP(sender) side.Can any one help me getting this done

    YOu cannot pick File using URL. There is only to possibilities with the help of which you can pick the file like:
    Reading or Writing file from XI directory. (NFS)
    Reading or Writing file from FTP Server. (FTP)
    You can mention any URL in File adapter and tell it to pick the file from particular URL.
    <b>Bottom line : The file adapter is use to read or write the file at the Operating System(OS) level.</b>. File adapter can also act as a FTP client means it can put
    or get the file from FTP server.

  • How to use web services with Dynamic url behaviour

    Hi,
    IView created by me currently uses some web services whose url behavior is static but i want to give a dynamic url behavior. i.e. i want to use the url which user provides. So here are my questions
    1. How I shall assign the url supplied by the user to IView?
    2. If I want to set some config variables during runtimes how I shall do it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vishvesh

    Hi,
    1. I'm guessing you mean the webservice's url the user provides is pointing to an identical webservice to what you used to create your proxy... otherwise I think it will be very hard to do (I can imagine creating the proxies using the wsdl tool in run time or using code dome.. but that can't be what you want, right?).
    So if what you wanted is to use the same web service with a different url, then the web service's proxy class you created has API for doing this in code! (it inherits it)
    2. you can't, simply since the portal application doesn't ever use the config file... it isn't even deployed to the portal... so dynamic properties are "out of the question" here, sorry... see 1 again

    Ofer

    Firstly, there's no such thing as Apache 9.3, there's Apache 1 (and subversions) and Apache 2 (and subversions). Your error message -
    Oracle-HTTP-Server/1.3.28Shows you're using Apache 1.3.28
    Secondly, I'm confused by your comment -
    I do not have Apache 9.3 or higher but I think oracle should offer this in its companion CDOracle does offer the Apache server, if you're saying you didn't get it from Oracle then where did your Apache server come from?
    Thirdly, I notice from your config file -
    ErrorLog "|E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Companion\Apache\Apache\bin\rotatelogs logs/error_log 43200"That you're piping the logs through rotatelogs, are you sure the logfiles haven't just been renamed?

  • Invalidating the url of c:import

    Hi,
    We are using <c:import> and we intend to include files dynamically. This is working fine.
    If we wrap the inside a container component and on an event we try grabbing this container and invalidating the same (using statemanager's restore view). Will this also refresh the <c:import> url ?
    If there is any other way to include files dynamically (I have tried jsp: include) and where I can refresh the container component to refresh the page url of the dynamic include, please let me know.
    Take care,
    Manoj

    Try using item URL property.
    listItem.Url;
    use it after
    listItem.Update();

    Build the URL dynamically. Use an if-then-else or choose test based on some attribute. Then the url can be set using concat (as an example).

  • How create  dynamic URL for every row  shown in the report?

    Hi,
    Iam new to this Application. I created one interactive report to find the number of bugs logged for every product and its sub component for past one year. The report will look like below structure in the application.
    Product Subcomponent Total
    P1 S1 10
    P2 S2 4
    P2 S21 15
    Now i want to pick the value of Prouct and sub component for every row dynamiaclly and want to generate the URL with the conditions and make it as hyperlink for the Total Column.
    Iam able to make hyperlink for the Total column using the edit options for the total attribute, but it is opening the same page for all the rows in the total column. I want to generate dynamic URL by picking the value prodcut and sub componenet dynamically from the report for every row and want to make it as hayperlink for every row individually.
    Please tell me how to do this?
    Please revert back if you are not clear. Appericiate for your quick help.

    Hello <unknown user>,
    So you already set the Column Link attributes for your Total column. Should all links go to the same page, but with different parameters (ProductID, SubcompID)? Or to another page? And how can you determine that page?
    Assuming you'll go to a sort of detail page or form:
    Target = [Page in this app]
    Page = <your target page no>
    Item1 = <ProductID field in target page>
    Value = #PRODUCTID#
    Item2 = <SubcompID field in target page>
    Value = #SUNCOMPID#
    (you can use the ' flashlight' for getting the correct values)

  • How to call a dynamic URL on 'button press' event, in MVC-based BSP

    Hi,
    My requirement is as below:
    On selecting a row in table view, and pressing a button, I need to open a browser.
    The Browser URL depends on the row selected.
    The key field from table view, is added at the end of the URL string.
    Shortly, I can say that, I am getting a value on row selection & want to pass it to button event.
    In Views Section, there are 2 tags- (1)table view & (2)button.
    Right now, I have put the code for getting the key field, in DO_HANDLE_DATA method.
    In Button's OnClientClick method, I have called the Javascript to open the browser.
    If I now write the code to concatenate the key field value to form the dynamic URL in 'OnClick' method,
    it will be called only after the browser is opened.
    (as OnClick event is executed only after OnClientClick event is executed)
    Could anyone please tell me what event (and in which tag) can be used to solve this.
    Is there any event which is triggered, as soon as the row is selected, &  before the button press event is triggered ?
    Would really appreciate responses made to this query.
    Thanks,
    Nisha Vengal.

    Hi Nisha,
    The crux of your issue here is that you want to call the event triggered with onClick before calling the event triggered on onClientClick. This can be achieved by the following code in the function called on the onClientClick.
    function fn_button()
               htmlbSL(this,2,'b_row_selection:onInputProcessing()');
               window.open("new_page",target="BLANK");
    Here, fn_button is the javascript function called on button click, and b_row_selection is the event triggered on the onClick event of row selection.
    Try this out and let us know if it works for you.

  • Dynamic URL in SOAP Receiver adapter

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario where I am using a SOAP receiver adapter to send a cXML document to some vendors. I need to change the URL based on the vendor number (passed by sender SRM system). So I have created a user-defined function and used in message mapping to assign the right URL to the variable TServerLocation. But the communication channel still prompts for a static URL which appears to be a mandatory field. Even though the DynamicConfiguration tab in Message Monitoring shows that the TServerLocation was correctly assigned, the scenario does not work when I put some dummy in the static URL field like 'dummy' or '*'. Any ideas on how to make the communication channel go for the dynamic URL field and ignore the static URL field? I have already selected the'Use Adapter Specific Message attributes' and 'Variable Transport Binding' check boxes. Am I referring to the correct variable that references the target URL? Also other than the two checkboxes that I mentioned, I am not displayed anything else under "Adapter Specific Message Attributes" section in the comm. channel.
    Thanks

    James,
    I ve just been digging into SAP help, and have tried it too ... Looks like it doesnt work the way it is supposed to.
    Anotheer point i found was, in the FILE ADAPTER, when we say ADAPTER SPECIFI ATTRIBUTES , we can select the attirbutes.. This is not possible in a SOAP adapter...
    Maybe, we can only access the ADAPTER SPECIIFC ATTIRIBUTES of a SOAP adapter, but cannot set them dynamically.
    Let me know if you find something on this issue.

  • Dynamic parameter with an IMPORT statement

    Hello experts. I hope you can help me with this issue:
    I have a report performing an EXPORT statement into a Buffer:
      EXPORT I_USER    FROM P_USER
                    I_NAME    FROM P_NAME
                    I_SURNAME FROM P_SURNAM
               TO DATA BUFFER V_XPARVALUES.
    Then it calls the first FM where a type I program is created by using INSERT REPORT... This dynamic-generate INCLUDE has the explicits declaration for variables: I_USER, I_NAME, I_SURNAME.
    Afeter the dynamic Include generation, it calls a second FM, wich has the reference to the dynamic Include created before with the data declaration. The only thing remain is to IMPORT all the data from the buffer V_XPARVALUES:
    The following code lines are within a LOOP. wa_param-paramname has the name of the variable (I_USER, I_NAME I_SURNAME).
        ASSIGN (wa_param-paramname) TO
          FROM DATA BUFFER v_xparvalues.
    but what I need to achieve is dynamic parameters in the IMPORT statement.
    Had anybody came across this problem?
    I hope I have been clear with the explanation.
    Regards,
    Andrés Sarcevic.

    IMPORT/EXPORT scope didn't work out. Instead, I used CALL TRANSFORMATION and XML approach, besides some ABAP creativity.

  • Dynamic URL for HTTP receiver adapter

    Hi all,
    when the XI send the http request to the target system, the format maybe like this:
    header + body the body is including: Prolog, payload and Epilog
    here is about the target system have a 'input' parameter(maybe string type)
    is it possible to pass the 'head + body' these value(or maybe the whole http request message) into input
    i mean is it possible to set the dynamic URL for http receiver adapter like this:
    http://host:port/path?input=<the header and body>
    i have searched the blog Dynamic Configuration of Some Communication Channel Parameters using Message Mapping
    Link:[/people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping]
    and the similar threads in the forum
    please give me some advice
    thanks in advance

    When a HTTP server requests the whole message as URL parameters, then I assume that the server also requests an HTTP GET, which is not supported by XI.
    Could you check this?

  • Dynamic URL for SOAP receiver adapter

    Hey!
    I've been looking all over the forum for this issue. What I have seen is many good suggestions, but no one seems to have made this work.
    I have tried with message mapping and TServerLocation, but when the scenario is executed, Target URL in the communication channel always overrides the suggested URL from the mapping.
    Is is possible to do this dynamic configuration? Do I have to use HTTP adapter and create envelope with mapping instead? Anyone in here actually got this dynamic URL working?
    Thanks a bunch!

  • Need to post to HTTP destination with a dynamic URL

    I have a working interface that posts to a static URL using an HTTP via an SM59 connection.
    however i now need to do something similar, but use a dynamic field from the data to post as part of the url...
    so it will be something like...
    http://host.fqdn:port/path/goes/boldfield1bold/here/to/remove
    field1 being a variable in my xml.
    i guess i post to a URL with URL Address instead of HTTP destination, and i can use the header fields in adapter specific message attributes... however i do not want to send the xml....  so do i have to map just the single field to my target xml?  how do i not send the xml as it is integrated within the URL?
    how do i add the field1 within the path:   /path/goes/boldfield1bold/here/to/remove into the options within the communication channel?
    does that make sense?

    Hi Barry,
    If I understood well, and you have one part of the target URL fixed, and the other one is going to be dynamic.
    You can use, as you said, the ASMA for HTTP adapter, and in the middle of the mapping you can create a simple UDF to create the URL. But as the result of that UDF, you just return the same value that you'd map if the UDF didn't exist.
    For example you can use a funcion "setURL" and you can have 2 inputs: "url" and "companyname", but you just return "companyname" that is the value that really has to be mapped.
    I hope this helps you.
    Juan.
