E 63 Wirelesss LAN

What is meant my Wireless LAN?
I bought Nokia E 63 Phone having Wireless LAN option. i asked my Org IT Dept Team to configure the Settings, they put the settings for my phone as:
Ip4&Ip6 : Automatic
DNS(Primary& Secondary): Automatic
Port :0
WPA
Public
Infrastructure......etc
ok , now i am able to acess internet in my phone when i am in office.
My doubt is: what ever the Web Address we are typing in the Phone , while in in office(Browsing, (Downloading) are all be recorded in server?
afterwards they can decrypt the webaddress what ever i had seen and can they know from my phone , the web addres are used , even though my phone is in Automatic IP settings?
is there any alternate route that the web address should not record in the server?
i am waiting for ur reply.

Hello there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy new year and hope u all had a fab xmas.
I want to ask everyone thatif anyone knows the solution of my prob, which is, I recently updated my E 63 firmware which is
200.21.012
RM-437
E63-1(247.02)
After Installation I found 2 following problems....
1)After this updatation I can not connect to Wi-Fi, I tried numerous times to configure my device, but no solution.
2) I installed latest version of nokia email messaging software, and in that i can not retreive emails older than 3 days. I can not change the no. of retreival days. Even i did not find the oldest version of nokia email messaging on the website. If any one knows the oldest version link, please reply to this post.
If this problem is with  this firmware then its fine, or if ther's any solution , please let me know.
Can any one suggest me is it possible to install older version of firmware which is 100.0......, and any link to download older firmware.
Thank you very much.
Cheers

  • Can I transfer files from a Mac and PC that are both on my wireless LAN?

I've a number of Macs connected to my Wirelesss LAN and also have a PC (Windows XP) that I want to connect to the network. That isn't going to be a problem but I want to know if I can then move files from the "Mac environment" onto the PC.
If it's possible, how is it done?
    Regards,
    Cliff

Yes. Just enable the file/folder sharing for each computer. They'll treat it as a network share. I did need to set the options for the Mac folders to use SMB for the PC to see it.

  • Lenovo G580 20157 Wifi Driver

I can't find Wifi driver for my Lenovo G580 20157. I tried intel and it doesn't work,I tried Atheros, and it also doesn't work.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    hi GlenMcKenna20,
    I see now,
Your system's Intel Wireless software is left but the.
Wireless Device is not being detected.
That atheros there is your Cabled connection and not the wireless
        Your wireless should be Intel.
    Can you try
Booting into BIOS By turning OFF your Computer.
Turn it back on and right away start tapping F2.
you should be able to boot to this screen
Now go to Configuration tab and make sure the Wirelesss LAN is enabled. then hit F10 To Save the settings and Exit
IF ever it is already Enabled,   Disable it and Re enable it then save the settings.
Make sure to save before going out of BIOS, it should work.
    Regards
    Solid Cruver

  • Remote Access VPN Clients Cannot Access inside LAN

I have been asked to set up remote access VPN on an ASA 5505 that I previously had no invlovement with.  I have set it up the VPN using the wizard, they way I normally do, but the clients have no access to anything in the inside subnet, not even the inside interface IP address of the ASA.  Thay can ping each other.  The remote access policy below that I am working on is labeled VPNPHONE, address pool 172.16.20.1-10.  I do not need split tunneling to be enabled.  The active WAN interface is the one labeled outside_cable.

    Hi,
You have your "group-policy" set so that you have excluding some networks from being tunneled.
In this access-list named Local_LAN_Access you specify "0.0.0.0"
Doesnt this mean you are excluding all networks from being tunneled? In other words no traffic goes to your tunnel.
This access-list should only contain your local LAN network from where you are connecting with the VPN Client. If you dont need to access anything on your local LAN while having the VPN on, you don't even need this setting on. You could just tunnel all traffic instead of excluding some networks.

  • "securely" use one ethernet interface for WAN and other for the LAN

I am reconfiguring our dual 2.7 Intel Xserve running MacOSXServer 10.5.4, and had a question.
Is it possible (or advisable) to use en0 to perform LAN services, and then configure en1 to only allow access to very limited service. VPN, FTP, CALDAV and later Mail.
I imagine that this is possible via a firewall configuration, but first I do not know how to specify interface in addition to ports, and second I don't know how advisable this would be.
Currently I have a DSL package from ATT with 5 static IP addresses. I have an Airport Extreme set up as one of those addresses providing DHCP and NAT to the LAN. I am using the LAN ports on the back of that to bridge my three switches (2 managed [clients and oce print server 100 base-T] and 1 unmanaged [ laser printers and copier 10 base-T]).
I have the LAN based on 192.168.0.x, with the Xserve at 192.168.0.5. I have DNS configured and working (Thank you Antonio Rocco)
I have 20 LAN clients, 18 mac 1 PC and one PC via Parallels. I will have no more than 1 or 2 WAN clients at any one time
I provide AFP, SMB, Directory Services currently. As part of the reconfigure, I desire to take better advantage of the collaboration tools to provide wikis and CALDAV services. I also want to allow our employees to publish their individual calendars, so that they can subscribe to them at home, or vice versa.
I would like to configure VPN, one for me to access configurations when I am away using Remote Desktop (I have used command line to some extent, but still feel more comfortable with the GUI tools) and second for limited access to content for certain users.
It would also be very helpful for us to have a FTP site. It is unnecessary for this the be a FQDN service, sending the IP address is perfectly acceptable as we only use a service like this 10-15 times a year.
(Related but unimportant in the grand scheme, is there a way to generate a link to the FTP server that you could email that not only is a link, but also a temporary username and password?)
    Thank you in advance,
    Ion Webster

First, I missed a zero in the network speeds, I have two managed GbE switches that have all of the GbE capable machines connected to them, and an unmanaged GbE switch that has all the 10 or 100Base-T connections. My apologies for the mistake. That was one of the reasons I went with the GbE capable Airport to bridge the switches.
Ok, I had been leaning towards a separate hardware firewall, but here is also where there is a hole in my knowledge. Do I need to look at something like the Linksys RVS4000 which bills itself as a +"4-Port Gigabit Security Router with VPN. Secure, smart Gigabit networking for growing business"+ I would like easy configuration, as I take care of these systems in addition to my job, rather than full time. This will be the first time I have set up a VPN connection, so even though I have spent a lot of time researching the manuals, and reading Schoun Regan (Apple Training Series) I don't have real world experience here. So if I buy more hardware, I want it to be the product that will provide the protection, and also allow me to configure it so that I can get these services running. All my VPN clients are running Macs, most on an AIrport connection and have their IP ranges in the 10.0.1.x range. all but one is on OS 10.5.x so I have a fairly homogeneous set of machines to make work together.
I will review the links you provided regarding static routing, but I do believe the hardware solution is a better one, and wish to pursue it, for all the reasons you give, and that in the brief perusal of the links, it is more than I want to tackle.
As far as FTP vs sFTP, I have no preference. I simply want a way to have online storage for transfer of large files on occasion. Ideally I want a folder, or a series of folders that are accessible for my LAN users to put items in and take them out, and for my (s)FTP users to do the same
So long story short, the hardware solution I would like to purchase, I need to be able to do the following:
VPN connections for content access and ARD access ( knew about and will ensure differing IP ranges)
    (s)FTP
    Calendar publishing
    mail(at a later time)
Thank you for your help thus far.

  • How can I only allow my Apple TVs access to my LAN?

In my set-up, I have three Apple TVs in separate rooms all connected to a LAN via their ethernet ports. They are connected via a switch to my Airport Extreme and my Mac Mini is also connected to Airport as an iTunes server. The Airport runs a WiFi network for internet access but I don't want people to be able to plug their computers into my LAN and have access to the whole set-up.
What can I do to achieve this?
I don't want the Apple TV's to rely on the WiFi so I can use MAC Address Filtering, since it is patchy and streaming HD videos is more stable via ethernet. I have looked into setting-up an 802.1x network but when investigating the Configurator app to set-up the Apple TVs to access an 802.1x network it refers only to WiFi set-ups again. Also, I don't know much about RAIDUS servers and authentication, such as whether I'd need any additional hardware etc.
Any help would be gratefully received.
    JB

...any app launched from /Applications holds only the permissions of the user launching the app, regardless of the owner (presumably because anyone, including "root" can install applications into /Applications).
It has nothing to do with where the application is installed. Any executable runs with the permissions of the user who runs it. The only exception is a binary executable with the SUID or SGID bit set, and then only if it's on the root device, and only if it's not an Aqua application. The SG/UID bits are ignored otherwise.
So, anyone who has installed Wireshark from the "native .dmg" by drag-and-dropping won't be able to use the suid trick because the OS will ignore the suid permissions.
Sorry, I don't understand this at all. Wireshark invokes dumpcap as a child process to capture packets. If dumpcap is installed anywhere on the root device as SUID root, then it will run as root regardless of who invokes it.
The suid method will only work for Macports and Fink installations...
That's not correct. There are many SUID or SGID executables in a default installation of the Mac OS, and none of them comes from MacPorts or Fink.

  • Can not connect outside of Lan to with rtsp PVC2300

I have the following cameras set up at my office
    1 - PVC2300
    2 - WVC54GC
    3 - AXIS 225FD
    I have a BEFSR81 Router
I have a computer on Windows XP running the surv software to record.  Everything with that is good.
    I also have 2 desktops.
I have been playing around with the rtsp feed with the pvc2300, but have run into a few problems.
1(a).  I can not connect outside of the LAN with RTSP with either the VLC player or quicktime.  It connects and asks for a password and then just hangs.
The PVC 2300 local address is 192.168.1.102 with ports 554, 5000-5010, and 6970-6999 forwarded on the router.  What am I missing?
1(b) I can successfully connect with my blackberry bold, although when I try to change the default port (554) to something else (I would like to RTSP my the AXIS camera as well,  so I will need a different port) it connects on my bold, but then says server is unresponsive. What am I missing here?
    2.  The voice with the PVC 2300  using http outside of the LAN (internet) lags quite baddly and is choppy.  This happens without fail when I have all 4 cameras running, which I understand is upload bandwidth problem.  But it also happens when I connect to just the PVC2300.  I do have a connection to all 4 cameras inside the LAN to the XP running the surv software, but that is it. Is the my router acting buggy?  I have unplugged the router for 5 sec, and it fixed it for a while, but it always comes back.  I have donwloaded the latest firmware for the router and PVC 2300 and that didnt seem ot fix it either.  Suggestions?
    3.  This is more of a question.  I know the mobile streaming of the PVC 2300 does not include voice.  Is there an app or way that I can just get it to my Blackberry.  Even if I didnt get the video, voice is sometimes more important to me.
I hope Ive been clear enough in my description, Im very self taught (google is amazing), but I am in no way a techy.
Thank you in advace for your help.
    Colin

Glad to hear you are successfully using the SWVMS16. That program is really cool and useful. I just cant tell you how that model of Linksys Router can work for you here (that is not a model we support on this community as its not small business)
Regarding RTSP access, are you also including the mobile.sdp in the URL?
RTSP:///mobile.sdp   I noticed in the camera GUI with the newer firmware, you can specify an access code under mobile settings after checking the enable mobile streaming box.  That word may be what you have to include, so check that too...
Try this locally first and then remotely is the easiest way to see if you got it right, then it just becomes a routing or firewall issue to figure out.
But your forwarded ports look right and should be opened.
Under advanced settings, you can define an alternate HTTP, HTTPS or RTSP port

    inconsistência no saldo do cliente.

    qualquer duvida, estou atento.
Desculpa meu portugues, mas eu sou chileno.

  • Lançamento de NF complementar de ICMS

    Bom dia senhores,

    Boa Tarde pessoal, tudo bom?

    Abaixo segue TAG do XML.

    Sim Eduardo,
    Finalizado.
Deu trabalho mas ficou muito bom.
