E-mail config in CRM IC Win 5.0 - urgent

Hi,
I would like to configure e-mails in ICWin client. In CRM e-mails for about 10 e-mail addresses
should be received (helpdesk@.., service@.. , ....).
I have few questions:
1. How I can assign different agents to different e-mail addresses ? They should receive
e-mails from only few addresses. not from all.
2. different signatures when writing e-mail need different editor profiles (default signatures)? so also need different IC profile?
3. outbound e-mails -> CRM creates itself activity when sending e-mail/creating it, or user has to create activity first, then making e-mail?
4. how many services (tcode SICF) and how many SAPconnect nodes are needed to be able in ICWin to receive e-mails for 10 email addresses and distribute e-maild to different agents like I wrote in point 1. ?
5. incoming e-mails are copied to activity (subject, body), but what about e-mail itsefl? it is somehow connected to activity (reference)?
6. in ICwin user can search in e-mails with key words? for eg "problem with ht-1000"?
7. incoming e-mails can have attachements? attachements will also get to ICWin with email? user will be able to open it?
8. attachements to emails are also copied to activity?

Also please explore the option of "Email Response management system" in SPRO for advance email service settings.

Yes you will need different IC profiles and assign it to the group of agents who would comply to it.
3.  outbound e-mails -> Told you what i believe shoudl work.
4. how many services (tcode SICF) and how many SAPconnect nodes are needed to be able in ICWin to receive e-mails for 10 email addresses and distribute e-maild to different agents like I wrote in point 1. ?
  ONLY one SAPConnect node.
5. incoming e-mails: We really need tyo check the ACTIVITY Type: Incoming email.
6. in ICwin user can search in e-mails with key words? for eg "problem with ht-1000"?
  I m really not sure, as we are maintaing an Activity for Incoming or outgoing email, we should be able to search an Activity for BP (that activity can have email details).
7. incoming e-mails can have attachements? attachements will also get to ICWin with email? user will be able to open it?
Yes however for opening attachments you may have internet security concerns of the enterprise where SAP is implemented. It can be easily handled by networking people.

    Create a Queue in CRM with the same email address as that Exchange mailbox.
    Set that Queue's incoming mail option to "Email router".
    Go to the Email Router, confirm that your incoming settings work, then load the CRM settings.  You should see that Queue as an incoming option. 
    Validate and publish the Email Router settings with the updated Queue.
    That will let CRM receive mail on that Exchange mailbox.   And if that mailbox is for a CRM user and not a generic mailbox, change the CRM settings on their User account instead of a Queue.

  • Not able to edit Company field in Mail Config

    Hi,
    I am working on a requirement where in 2 Companies exist under Enterprise Company and each company will have it’s own Mail configuration.
    I have copied system Mail config to create new one. But the company field in Mail Config is grayed out and always defaults Enterprise Company. Is there any way to make Company field editable? Am I missing any steps?

    As per SAP Help "The Company field is used to create separate mail configurations for individual companies. If a specific company has no assigned mail configuration, the enterprise company is used. If the enterprise company has no mail configuration, the system default is used."  and "Webcast on Mail Config" , it is possible to create Company level mail configuration.

  • Outbound mails from SAP CRM server

    Hi,
    Is there any way by which Outbound mails from SAP CRM server can be routed to more than one mail servers?
    Any suggestions or work arounds will be appreciated.

    Hello Asheesh,
    it is possible to create more than one Mail Node in Transaction SCOT. The mail can then be routed depending on the Domain Name.

  • Multiple instances and mail config

    Maybe I dont understand the right concept of multiple
    instances but what I did was the following:
    Setup up an instance for each domain I have running as a
    VHost on apache.
    What I was trying to accomplish is the failover of any one
    domain and also to use separate mail settings for each domain.
    But this is where I seem to have misunderstood the concept of
    multiple instances, is it not possible to use a different smtp
    server for each domain? When my forms for each domain generates an
    email I want the email to originate from that domain not the main
    one setup in CF...

    Your on the right track.
    Set up say 4 websites (virtual hosts) eg www.mydomain1.com,
    www.mydomain2.com etc
    Set up 4 cf instances if you have 4 domains, maybe call them
    mydomain1, mydomain2 etc
    Using the Web Server configuration tool, config the cf
    instance mydomain1 to virtual host mydomain1, cf instance mydomain2
    to VH mydomain2 etc
    The website should now be working using their own Cf
    instances.
    Go into the CF Admin, scroll to the bottom of the left menu
    and you should see Instance Manager
    Clicking on this should either reveal the 4 cf instances or
    you may have to add them (should be a button)
    Once you see all 4, you should be able to click on the admin
    for each individual instance and change the smtp server as
    appropriate.
    This won't give you failover though, if a CF instance goes
    down, that site is gone. Clustering is the way to give failover and
    you can achieve this fairly easily.
    Expanding on the above example, you would create 8 CF
    instances eg mydomain1-1 mydomain1-2, mydomain2-1 mydomain2-2.
    Create 4 clusters eg mydomain1cluster, mydomain2cluster etc
    In the CF Administrator Add mydomain1-1, mydomain1-2
    instances to mydomain1cluster etc
    Using the Web Server configuration tool, config the cluster
    mydomain1cluster to virtual host mydomain1 etc
    each domain should now be using 2 cf instances, you will be
    able to down on of those instances the the site will continue
    working.
    Back in the instance manager under CF Admin, you should now
    have 8 instances - config mydomain1-1, mydomain1-2 to the
    appropriate smtp server etc
    The above is for CF MX 6 onwards too, not sure about previous
    versions.
    I think thats what your after? I've skimmed over some parts
    above in relation to the clustering, but there's a handy doc
    floating around on the web by Herrlich & Ramuschkat that will
    guide you through it.
    BTW, those instances can sit on multiple physical servers for
    hardware redundancy. Depending on how many domains you have and the
    power of your machines, this is a preferred way to go although
    expensive due to multiple CF licences

    I have to pull several mailboxes using a sender mail adapter. The mails are automatically generated, containing:
    mailfrom, mailto, subject, body and 1 attachment.
    I need to save the data (mailfrom,mailto,subject,body,filename) into a table in SAP-CRM and I need to store the file on the application server.
    I can successfully map the mailinfo (mailfrom,mailto,subject,body) using the ximail_30.xsd; the problem comes with the attachment.
    When the message comes in I got 2 payloads (MailMessage en MailAttachment-1 (base64))
    My question now is, how do I have access (in XI or a step further in the Proxy) to the Attachment (filename and content) so I can map it to a structure (XI) or save it within the Proxy, without converting it in XI.

  • Unable to upload pictures in mail forms in CRM 7.0

    Hello CRM Experts,
    We are unable to upload pictures into mail forms. After upload the pictures are not displayed, and have a cross mark.
    I am not sure if it is a technical issue or browser related problem. We are on IE 8.0.
    Suggest some solution/work-around to the problem if any.

    we synchronize our activities and private Contacts with the Groupware Connector. My question is, how is the behavior of the Groupware Connector if an employee changes his email-address in CRM with a e-mail distributor?

    Current version of  Groupware Connector does not supported Distributed lists and we don't have any development plans to support it as of now.

    HI Gaurav,
    After you create mail form in CRMD_EMAIL, you have to execute it by pressing f8 then you have give the printer which is already defined in SPRO settings of marketing.
    Thats only way you can print the mail form of a BP.

    We have a requirement that Portal notification mail link to related CRM activity for approvel and review when be clicked.
    We used SONic component and SomProviderConnector connect to CRM . The "document" in CRM workspace inbox had been displayed in Portal notification. Some of the "document" are the approvel mail of CRM activity.
    We want that when the notification mail be clicked , it link to related CRM activity.
    Does anyone had done this ?

    Thanks for yor response.
    No we do not have add on for service industries. Businesss does not require survey integration. They send a proposition in mail to customer, whic he can accept or reject.
    accepted propositions need to be captured as activities in CRM.
    When the customer accepts, he sends an inbound mail or calls the call center (here it is in R/3)
    Those inbound responses can be captured thru "extended E-mail inbox setings" but that node does not appear in my IMG. Can u suggest how to activate it and the technology supporting this Inbound Email

  • Terminal mail config

    Hi,
    under terminal I get a lot of mails sent by the system one way or another. Is there a way to
    1. disable the unix mail system, but keeping the OS X mail app available and working.

    2. Get the terminal mail to be redirected to a specific user OS X account.
    or
    3 Configure my normal mail program to access the terminal mail.
    I dont want to have to keep going into terminal to delete the terminal mails.

    I need to download all E-Mails (incl. Attachment) from the CRM EIC Webclient System to the local
    harddrive (alternatively to the server drive). If its possible, I need the relation from the one order
    number to the mails (inlc. Attachment).
    Does anyone knows where the Mail are stored in the CRM Webclient System? Or can anyone
    give me a hint how I can realise a mass download (function module, class, method,...).
    The reason is, that the CRM System will be shutdown concerning insolvency and the Mails are
    necessary for the liquidation.

    Hello Andreas,
    Just to clarify, I assume that you are referring to emails that arrive into the system via SAP Connect interface and are processed via the Agent Inbox (and not referring to emails that arrive via the ICI interface and are directly pushed to agents)? The ICI emails are typically stored on a third-party email server, so they would not be stored in SAP CRM. On the other hand, the SAP Connect emails are stored in the CRM system, sort of, though its rather complicated. The emails are converted into a combination of CRM workflow and SAP Office document and are broken up and stored in a variety of different tables. So there isn't really an single email that is stored and easily retrieved.
    Incoming ICI emails are first converted into an SAP workflow work item until accessed in IC and then are converted and stored as SAPoffice document in tables SOFM, SOOD  (header info) , SOC3  (for non krpo) , SOFFCONT1 (for  kpro / binary data) -- and if the document has been sent -- also in SOOS, SOST, and SOES (for externally sent documents). I'm not sure if this helps you at all

    I have two workflows for Cases ... in booth I'm trying to send Mails. In the on it works fine. In the other I'm getting the following Error:

    Though I am not a techie :(, I guess this is due to some privilege issue. Check if the current user is enabled to send emails on behalf of other user.
