Edit HR Form - PE51

Hi guys,
I need to edit a HR Form via PE51. I have to include the Cost Center Text in the header of the form.
In the Single Fields screen, when I double-click the screen I get the window where I can select the Table and Table field to include. The problem is that the table that I need is not included in the list of available tables that the screen is showing me. Is there any way to include new tables in this list?
Thanks for the help. Help will be rewarded with points!!

I found transaction PE51_CHECKTAB, where any tabla and fileds can be included and assigned to the he form.
Thanks.

thank you for the suggestion, but I do not have a "Send Email" or "Submit" button available in my version. I have "Attach to email" option which automatically opens a new message in MS outlook (which I did not set up, it just started doing so automatically) without any further dialogue boxes or options.
Also, this is only for regular PDF files, not forms.

  • Editing a Form Central PDF in Acrobat Pro

I've created a multi-page form with F Central and need it to be editable in Acrobat Pro.  "Save a Copy" in Acrobat Pro does not remove the security and thusly the form cannot be edited.  Was I misled by Acrobat marketing and now I am stuck with a form that I can ONLY edit using Forms Central?   Can anyone help?

I don't know if I was very clear.  I want the users to fill out a form and click a button when they are done.   Then I want the result of clicking the button to be for the form to print to Adobe PDF first followed by emailing to me.  Right now the way I set the button up (below), I receive the actual form via email.
    "Actions" tab,
    "Mouse up,
        Execute a menu item
            File>Save as>PDF...
        Submit a form"
I want a non editable printed/ refried version AKA "print to Adobe PDF" on the menu items sent to me instead of the actual form.  I have searched all over but can't find if this is possible.

  • Unable to edit Data Forms in EPM 11.1.2.1

    Hello Gurus,
I have recently exported the form from EPM 11.1.1.3 and have imported it to EPM 11.1.2.1 successfully without any issues.
I then checked the Data forms to see if the forms load properly and I have observed that it is not using the Alias dimensions for the Page/Point of view dimensions.
Now when I try to edit the form I get the following error/message. I am not sure as to how I can edit the form.
You cannot edit an ad hoc grid from this context. If you have an Ad hoc grid creator role, open it, and use Save.I am not getting as to how I can edit this form so that I can select the option to use Alias in the data form settings
    Thanks
    HyperEPM.

    Hi HyperEPM,
To solve your problem, try to follow these steps:
    1. Create a report into the EPM 11.1.2.1 platform. Then export it.
    2. Open a report exported from EPM 11.1.1.3 platform and copy all the "query" tag (<query>...</query>).
    3. Select all the "query" tag from the report you've exported from the EPM 11.1.2.1 platform and paste the tag that you've copied in the previous step.
    4. Import the updated file.

    Hi Renee,
No, you do not have to edit the form from the master page. Master pages do not have forms on them. They define the layout and look-n-feel of a Sharepoint Site.
You said you are adding new column to the list in SPD. Why not in the site itself and then edit the form.?
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/sharepoint-designer-help/create-a-custom-list-form-using-sharepoint-designer-HA010378258.aspx
Also, check if you master page is checked in and published. If there is content approval on it, it should be approved.

  • Cannot Edit a Form in Adobe Acrobat Pro Xi - use Livecycle

    Hi all,
I was advised to buy Adobe Pro XI yesterday by the Direct Sales Adobe team because it includes "everything I need" to create and EDIT PDF forms.  I actually rang up to buy X but was told it was now XI.
I tried to edit a form today and got this message:
"this form cannot be edited in Acrobat. Please use Adobe Livecycle Designer to edit this form"
I was told this was included in Pro but can't get past this message.  I previously had a trial of Adobe Pro X and WAS able to edit this very form.
It is very frustrating.  I cannot edit anything I have been working on.
FormsCentral seems too basic as I need to be able to edit the field name in the properties of the field.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    David

We created forms in acrobat 9 pro and now with XI pro cannot edit them.  Error message states that livecycle designer is required to edit forms previously created in acrobat.  Called tech support and waited for over an hour before being told that another product needed to be purchased for $300 more than the upgrade cost for acrobat pro XI!!!  From the XI FAQ - The web site states:
The following customers are eligible for a free upgrade:
Customers who purchased a prior license to Acrobat and have purchased an upgrade to Acrobat XI Pro
Customers who have an Adobe Maintenance and Support contract or purchased Upgrade Plan eligible for an Acrobat XI Pro upgrade
Active Creative Cloud Complete members whose memberships started before October 15, 2012
The one-time LiveCycle Designer upgrade is available in English, French, German, or Japanese. Eligible customers can choose which language they would like to receive. Visit the Customer Support Portal to request an upgrade.
After entering in the needed info on the support portal was told that adobe will Not honor the sales rep & web site which both said we are eligible for the free upgrade.  We asked for a full refund and will not longer be using any new adobe products.  We went back to 9 pro forms work fine and adobe lost $.  Nice work adobe - lie to customers and then act surprised that the customers want their $ back!  They told us to just toss their software DVD in the trash where IT belongs, so we did!

  • Edit Formscentral form with Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO

Since Formscentral is being discontinued, I would like to be able to edit my forms with Acrobat 9 Pro. I have saved my forms from Formcentral as a PDF, opened them with Acrobat, saved a copy to remove the security, then opened it with the Forms wizard. Once I get to this point I am unable to edit the text of the form. What am I doing wrong or is there a better way to achieve this?

I would also like to know.
It seems we all have to recreate the forms again in indesign since indesign cant read a pdf form.  Is this really true.  Shame on Adobe  if it is.
    Please let us know.

  • Can I edit a form created in Adobe Designer/livecycle in Acrobat Pro. 8

    Hello
I have a client that sends me PDF's created in LiveCycle.  IN the past I've used the following information to open these files.
You can however create a workaround if you absolutely must edit an LCD form in Acrobat. If the form is not a Dynamic form, open the form in Acrobat and choose Document | Extract Pages. (You'll know if the form is not a dynamic form if the Extract Pages command is not grayed out). The extracted pages will not permit accessing the form objects in Acrobat. All scripts in the document are lost and naming conventions for field objects are bizarre. However, the form is editable.
If you want to convert an LCD dynamic form to an editable Acrobat form, you need to use Acrobat 7 Pro. This won't work in Acrobat 8. In Acrobat 7 Pro choose File | Create PDF | From Web Page. Open the form in the Create PDF From Web Page dialog box. Again, all scripts are lost and field object names are bizarre, but you can edit the form in Acrobat 7 or 8 Pro.
But these files must be saved as Dynamic pdf's. I have tried saving them as static forms but the Document | Extract Pages is still greyed out when I open in Professional?  What gives how can I get around this most annoying situation?  I need to get the extract pages from being greyed out?
    Thanks,
    Dan

Acrobat 8 Professional includes LiveCycle Designer 8, so if the form was created with LiveCycle Designer 8 or older, the yes should have the option to edit the form. Acrobat 8 Professional under the menu option 'Forms' will have an option to open the form in LiveCycle Designer. If the form was created with a newer version, there could be some issues with newer features not available in version 8.

  • Need to edit a form created in Adobe Acrobat Pro X

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro X but now I can't edit the form questions, I know I'm missing something obvious but its driving me nuts right now.

here is a link to the file:
    Wikisend: free file sharing service
I want to be able to edit the following:
    I Squared R, LLC
    Meeting Attendance Form
    1-901-0001-00001 Revision 1
and pretty much everything else... I created the file a while ago but I cant remember how to edit the file and I really don't want to have to redo everything again. As far as i can figure out the file isn't locked or anything. Any ideas?

  • Acrobat XI Pro - can't edit a form from another version of Acrobat?

I've got a form I'm trying to edit to see how something worked with a form field.  However, I can open it just fine in XI Pro, but when I do a Forms/Edit I get the following popup message: "This form cannot be edited in Acrobat. Please use Adobe LiveCycle Designer to edit this form."
I can open it just FINE on my old machine that has Acrobat 8 Pro with LiveCycle with no problem.
So, how is it that I can open AND edit this document in 8 Pro and not XI Pro??  I've been tinkering with a couple of different forms in XI Pro, and I assumed that LiveCycle must have been subsumed into Acrobat XI Pro itself, but this mystery would seem to indicate otherwise!
    Help?  Answers?  Thoughts?  Cookie recipes?
    Thanks!!

You will need to get LiveCycle Designer, which is now a separate product.
XFA forms created with LiveCycle Designer can be either static or dynamic. Static ones are very similar to forms created in Acrobat (AcroForms) in their behavior. Dynamic forms can have auto-expnding text fields, rows added to and removed from tables, entire sections generated and removed at run time, and a number of other dynamic behavior. So which you choose really depends on what your needs are. Many static XFA forms could be created as AcroForms with no loss in functionality. A big downside to XFA forms nowadays is the lack of PDF viewers for mobile devices that support them. AcroForms have always had more support in general.
JavaScript is used in both XFA and AcroForms, but each has it's own object models. XFA forms also support FormCalc, which isn't a full blown programming language like JavaScript, but it does have a number of useful features. The types of controls are pretty much the same, though an XFA forms support an image field and a good number of 1D barcode types with bar code fields.

  • I am unable to edit a form created with LiveCycle version 8.5 with LiveCycle Version ES1.

I am trying to edit a form created with LiveCycle version 8.08.2073 (installed with Adobe Pro 8).  I am using LiveCycle version ES (installed with Adobe Pro 9).  I can open the fhe form, but the tools are greyed out.  It apears the file is locked for editing, but I cannot determine where/how to unlock it.

You should try to start in safe mode which runs a file check. You hold the shift key down during a start up till there is a progress bar towards thr bottom of the screen. This start will take a longer time than normal. In safe mode try the functioins you are having problems with to see if there is an improvement. Some links below to read.

  • Error in editing Object Form

    Hi,
After submitting the request for an application when i click on edit to make some changes in web console the form for editing pops out. When i change the field values and again submit am getting an error like 'Error in editing Object Form .After request is submitted, data canot be added, updated or deleted any further by the requestor'. This happens only for applications which are having a child form. Please let me know the solution for this issue. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

I have given permission to all users in the object from. This problem is not happening for all applications. Only for applications which are having child form the problem is there. When i debugged the custom UI code the error displayed in console is 'Error in editing Object Form .After request is submitted, data canot be added, updated or deleted any further by the requestor'. Thanks.

  • How can I edit a form that has "Extend Features in Adobe Reader"?

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and added Extend Features in Adobe Reader. I need to edit the form, but "Save a Copy" isn't removing the "Extend Features...". I get an error message that I can't edit the form & to "save a copy" in order to edit. What can I do?

When I saw the responses, I pulled out an old version and started over. I already deleted the one that wouldn't revert from extended functions and the copy I created to edit it based on removing extended functions with "save a copy". Thanks anyway. I'd love to know why it wouldn't remove extended functions.

  • Clicking "Edit PDF form" stops Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 from working. [FIXED]

As the title says, whenever I click "Edit PDF form" in Acrobat Pro 11, it displays the message "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then when I click OK it closes.
It is a fresh install.  I tried reinstalling, by removing it first, i tried a repair, I also tried using Revo Uninstaller to clean up anything that was left after an uninstall, and still no joy.
    Any help would be appreciated.
It is running on Windows 8.1 Update (x64), and the version number for Acrobat Pro is 11.0.10.
    Thanks!
    **Update**
While I was writing this I had an epiphany, so I checked the Windows application logs which logged the following error every time Acrobat crashed...
Faulting application name: Acrobat.exe, version: 11.0.10.32, time stamp: 0x547e97af
Faulting module name: nvd3dum.dll, version: 9.18.13.4121, time stamp: 0x5474d740
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
which lists nvd3dum.dll as the culprit.  This has something to do with my Nvidia graphics card or drivers (NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600)
So after a little research I discovered a little registry tweak which "specifies the number of seconds that the GPU can delay the preempt request from the GPU scheduler. This is effectively the timeout threshold. The default value is 2 seconds." (Quoted from MSDN)
So I added the REG_DWORD value TdrDelay to the key path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers, and changed the value to 8.  After rebooting this seemed to have solved the issue I was having.
    Here's a screenshot...
    Hope this helps someone!

  • I have downloaded a trail version of adobe acrobat pro and when I try to use it, it says that it cannot be edited in acrobat, please use adobe livecycle designer to edit this form. I can't work out what I need to do?

I have downloaded a trail version of adobe acrobat pro and when I try to use it, it says that it cannot be edited in acrobat, please use adobe livecycle designer to edit this form. I can't work out what I need to do?

Acrobat XI is not distributed with Designer. Designer is now a separate product. You can create forms in Acrobat as an AcroForm or using Forms Central (an online forms program). You can print the form to a new PDF and then recreate the fields in Acrobat using the recognize form fields. You will likely have to fix the form fields, but that would be the process. Generally, once a form is taken to Designer, you can't bring it back without such steps.
Designer is available with AA8 - AAX, but since is a separate product as I indicated.
