Editing Working Days/Non Working Days in the base Project Calendar PWA

Hello Experts,
I am attempting to edit working days/non working days in the base project calendar PWA 13. I receive an error message when I attempt to open the base project schedule.
I click the "edit" button under "Enterprise Calendars" page.  The error message states:
"This Project Web App feature requires at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0"  (using Chrome)
Attempting to Opening PWA in I.E. I receive a different error message stating that I need Project Professional installed on my computer and it cannot find the current project.  
I have Admin rights, I have project pro, and Im able to access any project or function using PWA and Project Pro. Can you tell me what I am missing (detailed steps--kinda new to PWA)

If you allow me to jump in, I'd advice you to first open MS Project Pro and then try again.
Also check that your MS Project Pro URL account do not finish with /default.aspx.
Finally ensure that your PWA URL is in the trusted site and eventually add it to the compatibility sites.

    I am trying to make a permanent (default) change in working and non-working days. I am living in Israel and our non-working days are friday and saturday. I want to configure these as the non-working days so I won't need to do it manually via the change work

    If you are using project server then you can do it permanent from 
    PWA --> Server Settings --> Enterprise Data --> Enterprise  Calendar then
    You can configure either your stranded calendar or create a new calendar in which you can make Sunday to Thursday as working days and Friday and Saturday as non working days.
    You have to do it manually. There is no tool available which will do the same for you.
    Where as if you are using Microsoft Project professional stand alone then for every plan (MPP file) you have to do it.

  • Lync 2013 call forwarding (working and non-working scenario)

    Hi guys!
    We are trying to solve a non-working scenario in Lync 2013 voip calling.
    SCENARIO 1 that does not work:
    Person A with a mobile phone calls Person B who's telephone number is not located on Lync SIP TRUNK. Person B answers the call and then he wishes to transfer this call to Person C. He call Person C until he hears call ringing tone from him
    and then he transfer this call to him. When Person C answer the call he does not hear Person A and call get's disconnected after cca. 20seconds.
    SCENARIO 2 that does work:
    Person A with a mobile phone calls Person B who's telephone number is not located on Lync SIP TRUNK. Person B wishes to transfer this call to Person C who's number is located on Lync SIP trunk. In this scenario he first wait that Person C
    answer/accept his call, then he transfer call from Person A to him. This way Person C is able to hear Person A.
    Anyway how to figure it out if this is a problem on provider side or on Lync 2013 server side?

    Refer support wasn't set to none.
    If we change it to none, and restart Mediation service, unfortunatelly there are no differences.
    We have also tried editing: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Mediation Server\MediationServerSvc.exe.config

  • Internet connection works but I can't see the base station

    My internet connection is OK (I'm able to surf and get e-mail) but I can't see my base station on just one of my computers. It shows up in the others, so I don't think it's a problem with the AEBS. I've tried re-installing the Airport Utility software, repairing permissions, etc. but it just keeps saying it can find a base station. Any ideas?

    OK, thanks for the clarification.
    If you haven't already tried this, connecting an ethernet cable from your computer directly to one of the LAN ports on the base station will usually allow AirPort Utility to "see" the device.
    You may need to restart the Extreme and your computer as part of the sequence.
    And sometimes, the device will just "appear" after 10-15 minutes or so after a restart. I have no idea why this is.

    1. I am working on a project that was shot with both HD and DV footage. What is the best way to work with both types of files on the same time line so that I can compress them to DV format video?

I am working with MP3 files like I have done with past projects but nothing seems to work. Please help.

    How did you "change" the MP3 - what program did you use? You might want to explore Soundbooth, as Aanarav suggests. It works well with PP & Encore.
    [EDIT] I use Audition, but think Soundbooth would be a good choice, as it is bundled in the Production Studio CS3.
    Many folk have problems with MP3 files, for whatever reason. You should be able to convert to PCM WAV from any number of good conversion programs.
    I use a fair number of MP3's in PP and have never had any trouble. Some others have never been so lucky.

    Sometimes. You have to decide whether you want the widescreen material letterboxed, or the 4:3 material pillarboxed. Or do a lot of scaling that will soften the image.

  • Create absences on non-working days.

    Hello Time Gurus,
    I have a scenario in which the employees can record absences on a non-working day.
    The scenario is as follows-
    I have a Work Schedule -
    Sun(working) Sat(working) Mon(working) Tue(off) Wed(off) Thu(off) Fri(Working)
    The working days have a planned working hours of 9 hours and off day has planned working hours of 0 hours.
    I have two sets of employees (ESG) - Salaried and Hourly.
    The hourly employees should to be able to record absence on non-working day (non-working for me includes the public holidays as well).
    I have set the input checks for the absence type OFF on non-working day. I am able to record absence but with 0 absence hours, even though I input some absence hours...the absence hours turns zero because of the planned working hours maintained as zero on non-working day.
    How can I achieve this?

    how will we overcome the planned working hours as zero abd convert the same to working using the sleection rules for daytype....
    I still don't understand why you want to put an absence on non working day.
    Suppose the first week of Jan is as below in period work schedule 01.01 to 07.01
    NORM NORM NORM NORM NORM OFF OFF
    NORM will have 8 working hours and OFF will have zero working hours. Suppose say that 03.01 is a public holiday.
    In DWS NORM planned hours will be 8 hours but still due to day type rules it will be a holiday(non working day) day type = 1
    So now 03, 06 and 07 are all non working days for both salaried and hourly class.
    Now do you want that for hourly employees these days should be considered as working? and the same days should be non working for salaried?

  • Emergency Leave on Non working days

    Hi All,
    Emergency leave : the process at the moment : if the employee avails this from Friday to Monday saturday and sundays are excluded and they are
    not calculated as absence days, (for this scenaro the Saturday and Sunday boxes are unchecked in Table - T556C - Countin rule)
    but now there is another  requirement that if the employees are asked to 
    work on non working days and for some reason if they are not turned up on that day for those employees that day should be considerede
    as Emergency leave and Emergency quota should be deducted accordingly.
    How do i handle this situation?

    It is not cleared to me what you said above please u2018This will not be possible, since you have marked the same as holiday and counting rule is exempted for that. Hence, you can only substitute him for that day using the time entry.
    I am little confused let us forget about the question I asked with the  example of holiday on 25.12.2011.
    Please consider this one: 
    I have maintained DWS in IT2003 on 04.12.2011 for one employee who is supposed work on Saturday (or any non working day in another scenarios) but for some reason he has not turned up , as per the requirement I want to mark EL on 04.12.2011 and EL quota should also deduct accordingly.
    As you said I have unselected the 'Not a public holiday' under public holiday class and with this also quota is not getting deducted

  • Non working day with Substitution

    Hi Friends,
    I have an issue regarding one Empl had worked on non-working with substitution maintained. His Work Schedule is 22:00 to 06:00 AM. Here empl has taken CL for the same shift with 4hrs i.e 02:00 to 06:00 AM.
    Now the problem is, IT 2001 leave with CL for half days, entry is done but the working hours(4) is not getting triggered and more over when I run the payroll system throw error that INP1(Period factors in India) work schedule is not maintained.

  • HD 1080i  and  HD 1080p on the same project????

    Hello everyone.
    I am running with Finalcust 6. I need to buy a new camera. I do have the Canon HV30. Can I import in the same project footage with the format HD1080i  and  HD 1080p from different cameras?

    Avoid mixing them if you can. If you do have both edit in 1080i to maintain the resolution of that media. Anything that's 1080p and needs to be rendered will become interlaced.

  • Non DB item in a base table block, gives frm-40202 error.

    Dear All,
    We are using forms6i as a front end. To simulate the error, consider the following example.
    1.Create a multirecord emp block.
    2.Add a non database item in the base table block.
    3.Assign any value to the non database item, in the when new record instance trigger.
    4.When i say F7 or F8, my block asking me like, field must be entered. Which means, my record status changed to Insert. But there is no change in base table record, since i modified only in the non base table item.
    Please validate, whether i am doing anything wrong in my technique.

    If you have a value to be used as the default value then you can use "Initial Value" property in the item level for the Non Database Item. If you do this it wont give you any problem during the query. If you create a new record then the value which you have put as the default will come automatically.

  • URGENT: Add Non-working day value to the next working day

    Hello expertz!
    I have a requirement were i need to shift the values of the non-working days to the next working day. The report allready works, showing only the values for the working days, but for example if i have the amount of 100 on 06.12.2009 (saturday) i want that this value is added to the amount of 09.12.2009, which is the next working day.
    Does anybody knows a solution to do this? Is this possible in BEx?
    Please advise if you think this is not possible.

  • Team Calendar non-working days

    Hi Gurus,
    Is there a way we can configure the team calendar to show non-working days for the employee (public holidays, days off in part-time/shift work-schedules) in green for example?
    I haven't seen any configuration options for this, but I would expect it to show them somehow!?  Will we need to do custom development for this?

    I didn't think the "10 points offer" was open to all.. ideally, it should be to Duxton only.. You could probably open a customer message in OSS & seek SAP's clarification on Team Calendar

    In our company we dont have exact work schedule rules. So we have the need to be able to enter a Absence on a Non- working day for Salaried employees. when i try to enter an absencen on-working day, the number of hours are zeroed out.

    I am having the same problem currently.
    When an absence that is less than one day is entered on a non-working day with a given start time and end time (we are using CATS for entering the times) along with some attendance records, there are collisions as the system tries to create the infotype 2001 record as a full day record, and the start time and end time is not taken into account, so we are not able to transfer these hours correctly to SAP HR.
    I checked all the settings regarding the day types, but could not find the trick..
    The days we are trying to create the absences and attendances for are not public holidays, just ordinary weekends with no working hours, so I don't think Holiday Class is relevant here at all.. 
    If anyone has a solution, please update the thread..
