EL 27 Correction of Implausible Meter Reads

Hi All,
I am trying to release impalusible Meter Readings via TCode EL27, by entering a Premise. Two things are happening:
1. Direct Release of MR occurs . (no idividual correction screen opens)
2. Individual Correction screen opens. (no direct release)
I debugged quite a few cases and have reached a few conclusions:
FOR INDIVIDUAL CORRECTION SCREEN TO OPEN:
Pre-requisite = Value of ORIGIN_ESTIM = 6
With this pre u2013 requisite, when there is 1 installation, with 1 register then in EL27, individual correction screen will open and MRu2019s can be edited.
FOR DIRECT RELEASE:
Apart from the above prerequisite & condition, FOR u201CANY OTHERu201D CONDITION, the correction screen will not open and MRu2019s cannot be edited.
Value of Origin_estim can be viewed on the individual correction screen "Execute Correct Implausible Meter Reading Results" screen; Forecast data tab--> Origin
Values of Origin:
1 - Past MR results
2 - Period Consumption
3 - Reference value
4 - Proration
5 - External Determination
6 - Estimation not Possible
Also, is this phenomenon of direct release/ correction screen display DEPENDENT on MR REASON???

Hello,
It should be possible to get to the correction screen by selecting the line you want to correct an click on 'correct'...
You could skip this and release directly but there should be always an option to go into the correction screen as long as the meter reading is "still implausible".
Only time this happens is if the meter reading is automatically plausible e.g. if no extrapolation was possilbe. You should get a
message about this.
It will only enter the correction screen if there is an "invalid meter reading result". If it is valid now (without doing changes) there is no need for correction anymore therefore it is released immediately.
The correction screen is not build to handle more than one meter reading at a time. Hence there is no way you correct more than one meter reading at the same time i.e. count_eabl >= 2.

Hi Gaurav,
As mentioned above, the field ABLSTAT (Meter Reading Status) in table EABL would let you know if a meter reading is plausible or not. The values of implausible meter reads are:
2 Automatically Locked
3 Locked by Agent
U can reach the table EABL as follows:
ANALAG (installation) using tables EABLG by getting the meter read doc no.

DM - Meter Reading Workflow functionality

Hi all,
I have a customer's requirement that the estimated MR should be "corrected" automatically in case the next actual MR arrives and it is less then the estimation done before.
Can anybody help me via the customizing and the development (if any required)?
I have found the Customizing section Define Automatic Monitoring of Meter Reading Data, that works in co-operation with the function module EXIT_SAPLEL01_020, but I am not sure if this is the recommended way of solving this problem.

Hi Bou.Lis,
Standard SAP Triggers the event ASSESSED in the Business object - ISUCONTRCT. Use this to assess the meter reads and estimate the reads.
Obviously you may also need to cancel the billing documents if you are adjusting the meter reads for the period billed. In that scenario you can use BILLDOCAUT -> BDOCSFORREVERSAL and BILLDOCAUT -> ADJREVERSETAB.
For re-estimation you can leverage using the FM ISU_ACTION_ASSESSING. This FM estimates for all the registers, so you might want to customize and re-estimate only for implausible meter reads registers.
I would recommend working with a solid workflow developer who has IS-U knowledge.

Meter Validation Steps:
1.     The Validation Process begins with Meter Reading Order Creation when the expected consumption is determined for the meter reading to be recorded for each register. The meter reading status is u201C0u201D or un-entered at this time.
2.     The meter reading is entered via an upload program as part of the batch processing or entered manually.
This result is validated or evaluated against the permitted range of allowable meter reads/consumption for that register. The expected consumption is the basis for determining the range of the minimum and maximum values for the meter reading.
If the result is plausible, or valid, for all registers of the meter, the billing order becomes billable and the contract/installation is passed to billing for further processing. The meter reading status is updated to u201C1u201D or billable.
If the meter reading is validated as implausible, the meter reading result is transferred to the List of Implausibles for further processing (EL70). The status of the meter reading is u201C2u201D or automatically blocked. One or more independent validations can be failed in this validation process.
3.     During processing, the agent can release the meter reading for billing; the status is updated to u201C4u201D, released by clerk. The reading is accepted as measured. The agent can also process the implausible meter reading result using transaction code: EL27 Execute Correct Implausible Meter Reading Results. EL27 is recommended for individual processing.

EL70 is recommended for processing of implausibles for mass processing. It is not on the menu, however, one way to open the screen is:

Once the screen opens, click on the List button on the application toolbar
4.     The agent may also correct the meter reading. If this corrected read is validated as within range, the status is updated to u201C1u201D, billable.
5.     Alternatively, the reading can be determined to require follow up action and a service order is executed from the IC for re-read. A read status has been configured to support this flagging of the account for follow-up service order processing.
6.     When the service order is returned from the field, the CSR releases corrects, resets or possibly estimates the meter reading depending on the outcome of the service order processing.
7.     The meter reading is then passed to the billing engine for billing execution when the reading is validated as plausible.

Identify meter reading is too high, too low, correct

hi all,
i have requirement where customer will enter meter reading online (java portal).
after that i need to check meter reading is too high, too low, correct.
and date of meter reading is early, late, correct.
is their any standard FM which i can use?
or do we have maximum, minimum values predefined for meter reading in any table?
i have checked table TE121 but no use.
please guide me

The way the others have suggested is correct. you can use the tolerance in config validation.
you can enter consumption range against validation class with positive & negative deviation.
example
RESI               1 to 100                +deviation 300                   -ve deviation 30
this validation works on base period category
If the base period is previous period, then it will take the consumption of previous month (else previous period last year)
Now the total number of days for previous month are 30 and unit consumed is 900
now we will calculate the number of days to be assessed & multiple it with per day consumption, this will yield expected consumption. for ex. no of assessed days are
28 then 28 *30 = 840 units
from expected consumption you can calculate the min/max consumption depending what you have defined in tolerance
like here 300% positive deviation means total 400% means 840 *4 = 3360 unit max consumption
& 30% negative deviation means total 70% (100-30) means 840*.7 = 588 unit min consumption
Means in this range the consumption will not be implausible (from 588 to 3360), otherwise system will automatically make the reading implausible.
so the
Expected MR                   last reading +840
Upper limit of MR             last reading +3360
Lower limit of MR            last reading +588

Previous Meter Reads and Usage are not correct after meter Proration

It seems that during proration there are two meter reading available the one with the Meter Reading type as 03 ( Automatic Estimation ) and other is Meter Reading type 01 - MR By employee that is being retrieved. The 03 reading type seems to be the reading after the proration and the o1 reading is the reading done before the proration . The reads are coming out on our invoices incorrectly. Usually there will only be one Meter reading to be picked up. but it seems do proration it splits meter into 2 entries. The entry with with metering type 01 has the correct previous and current meter reads but incorrect usage. The entry with meter read 03 has the incorrect previous meter read and correct current meter read but incorrect usage. Our print work bench generated fiction is calling SU_DB_ERCHZ_SELECT_BILL_NEW to retrieve the values but the values that it retrieves are not correct., The second records is being put on the invoice. The form that exist in the SU_DB_ERCHZ_SELECT_BILL_NEW is called db_erchz_select_join and is used to retrieved the usage and meter reads.. This information is then passed to out user exit.
The previous meter read should be 5,073,998     and the usage should be 7500

Multiple Meter Reads on the same day and Billing

Hi All,
There is a requirement to hold all reads received from Customer/ Meter Reader etc even they these are received on the same day for e.g. schedule read could be received in the morning, followed by customer read through internet and then another customer read through IVR system.
Can we store multiple reads on the same day?
If a read goes into implausible and then it's corrected, implausible read is replaced by corrected read. Is there any way to store old implausible read?

1. So my question is can we enter multiple reads to the Meter on a single day with same meter read reason? - Yes when we have MR reason which is not relevant to billing. In your case its 09 which is nonrelevant and you should be able to enter multiple reads with different time.
Make sure you supply time also when you are submitting your read. However there is a restriction of what level you can enter multiple MRs since SAP stores read at Minute level so you can not post 2 reads in same minute.
2. Are there any configurations to be done to allow multiple meter readings on a single day? - Not sure but standard SAP should allow you to save multiple MRs with the above rules.

can any body tell me how can i get the reason for implausible meater reading.
my requirement is to get the unbilled meters becasuse of unrealibility of meter reader.
here what i understood is if meater reading is not in a position to bill so it means meater reading may be in implausible state. so i want to know the reason for implausible meater reading so that i get the meters which are not billed because of unreliasility of meter reader.
in which table these reasons get store.
if any body knows about these please reply me ASAP.

At the very least, you will receive EXACTLY the same product you sent in. You may get a newer product. It's Apple's choice.

Hyperion Smart View meta read problem

I created a template for users in smart view.I was testing with some native users.
the template which i created was with all the dimension and I Descendants dimensions.
some users are having write back functionality.
i used Meta Read filters for some users who will be only having access to a particular dimension and member.
At first i created a template with all the dimension and descendants and did save the report and I logged in with native users in to the same template.When i click on member selection I am able to see the applied filter( Meta Read) is working properly.But by default when i login with the same user at first i am getting an message saying that for some members you are are not having permission upto there i am fine.
My question is
Is there a better work around.So that when the user logs in smart view the template which provided he should only see the members for which he is having permission and the rest of members for which he is not having permission should disappear.

You most likely have a SV template set up and are trying to share that template, correct? The functions are looking for the SV xla in the bin folder, so if SV is installed in different paths, then your SV template will produce that error. When you first open the template and you get the update links, select edit, then browse to where the user has SV installed and go to the bin folder. This should update those functions.

Hi:
First step in the meter reading process is to create meter reading and billing orders.
Next there are a number of menu options available to enter and correct meter reading results.
The monitoring option allows you to follow the status of Meter Reading orders during the process from creation through entering results onto creating a billable billing order.
After collecting the meter reading results they need to be entered into the IS-U system. ISU offers several functions for this.
Hopefully it would be helpful to find out the way.

- X_STANZNAC is Decimal Places in the Billed Meter Reading.
- X_METERREAD is the previus meter reading.
- X_CONSUMPTION is estimated consumption.

- X_REABLD is the structure with Screen Fields for Entry/Correction Initial Screen.
- X_CUMULATING is for default 'X'.
The new meter reading is returned in Y_RESULT.

Where do I get the HP Meter Reading?

Is there one set (examples: cookbook or mapquest style) of instructions that will give me the meter reading on HP Laser printer products? Thank you.

If I understand correctly you want to use HP Eprint in your Iphone 4s?
If that is the case you will need a printer that is capable which mean web enable. Do you have this printer already?
There are other options that will give you wireless printing capabilities IN-network Meanning as long as the printher and the phone are in the same network you will be able to print from your phone. This are the 3 main applications to accomplish this.
Airprint an Apple application (Properitary). will let you print IN-NETWORK (when the phone and the printer are in the same phisical network, Using the same router as the gateway to connect to the internet)
HP Eprint home and biz - An HP appplication that will also provide IN-NETWORK printing capabilities and provide you with a lot of capabilites in my modest opinion a better option than airprint due to the features that it provides but both applications are good.
HP eprint for this you need a printer Web enable if you do not have one GET IT.
This will provide with the option of printing by email from almost anywhere. this is a list GO HERE of the printers that and their capabilities if you already own a printer check in this list to see if your model supports HP EPrint. if you do not own a printer use this list to select a printer that will be capable of cloud services including HP Eprint capable.
Furthermore if you want the to see the difference between the 3 applications GO HERE

Error while uploading meter reads through BAPI_MTRREADDOC_UPLOAD

Hi,
I am trying to estimate and upload meter reads on an installation through function module ISU_REGISTER_ESTIMATE and BAPI_MTRREADDOC_UPLOAD respectively. The output estimated read from ISU_REGISTER_ESTIMATE is fed to BAPI_MTRREADDOC_UPLOAD after removing decimal places, comma etc.
While this works perfectly each time, there is one instance where this arrangement is not working. If the previous read is too large ( and plausible), in certain cases BAPI_MTRREADDOC_UPLOAD fails to upload the next read and gives an error with error description 'Format of MR 17737 not valid (MR document number 105677 ) '.
As I said, both the function modules are workinf fine most of the times. However at certain instances it ends up with this error. Anyone encountered this problem before?

Message - 'Format of MR 17737 not valid (MR document number 105677 ) signifies that number of pre-decimal places and number of post decimal places do not match with your register group configuration.
Since, you are suggesting that your logic works in most of the cases, I think when meter overflow happens and while you are converting it to actual read - this reading do not match with pre-decimal and post decimal places.
You need to double click on register group for a device, where you are facing this issue and then compare your calculated read in your code.
