  • Unable to eliminate some warnings...

    Hi everybody,
my software gives some warning after compilation process, but I don't know how to eliminate them.
    Here is the compilation output:
[javac] .../TrafficGenerator.java:65: warning: unmappable character for encoding ASCII

        [javac] import com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.NodeImpl;
[javac]                                               ^Have someone any hint? Thanks in advance.

I resolved the characters warnings , simply setting the javac encoding to ISO-8859-15.

Apparently there are two variations of usbmuxd-211 running. One of them is ~ 50 seconds older than the other.
I'm inclined to believe this is a problem coughed up by my system rather than a widespread glitch in this latest version of iTunes -- I haven't seen an outcry on any forums.
    Does anybody know
    a) What is HandleUSBMuxDictionary?
    b) How do I get it (or its cache, or whatever) refreshed so that it uses the newer build of usbmuxd?
I tried Safe Boot to recreate dyld cache, delete/reinstall iTunes and associated files per http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1224 , eliminate iTunesHelper from login startup, run DiskWarrior.
Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Same as you, when I have no iOS device attached and launch iTunes the following warning appears once in Console
    3/22/11 2:05:04 PM com.apple.usbmuxd[86529] Warning HandleUSBMuxDictionary client 0x103000780-iTunes/com.apple.iTunes using library usbmuxd-211 built on Jan 13 2011 at 04:19:31, running usbmuxd-211 built on Jan 13 2011 at 04:20:21
Additional warnings only appear while a device is connected or synced.
However, I am using a Magic Mouse and launching iTunes has not caused the loss of tracking you have described. While your problem might be an expression of the iTunes+usbmuxd issue, it might very well be something else altogether.
Have you made the Magic Mouse a "favorite"? Sometimes that can improve how the system and mouse reconnect if signal is interrupted. Look in
System Preferences -> Bluetooth -> Apple Wireless Mouse
If it is not a favorite, click the gear menu and make it a favorite. You might have to select "Show More Info" first in order to see the info or make the selection.
Another thing to do while you are in the Bluetooth preferences for the mouse --- use the gear menu to "Update Device Services".
After doing those two things, then launch iTunes and see of the problem persists.
If neither of those actions resolves your issue, another thing to do is confirm whether the problem occurs when you have just one monitor attached.
Applying OS X Combo Update (either 10.6.6 or 10.6.7) may resolve the problem. Be sure to have a backup before trying.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

[ deprecation  ]vrml.external.Node in vrml.external has been deprecated.
So, I can with a sinple html file launch my applet but I can't visualizate anithing. What can I do to eliminate this warning?
Thanks and excuse me for my English. Hello

I see if a class is deprecated in java api?You see it in the API docs for said class, or directly in the source if you have access to it.
    But wrml classes aren't here.
Where I can see?Indeed, "wrml classes" aren't part of the Java API. I don't know those classes; you do, since you're using them. So I would assume you also know where to find their documentation - presumably from the same web site where you downloaded the binaries.

Thanks and my apology for the long message
    Rafi

    Hi Rafi,
On #1 the warnings appear whenever you have an expression that specifies a sequence file because many expressions are not valid until runtime, you can ignore it as long as ALL sequences that expression may evaluate to are included in the Workspace.
    >2) The utility does not include the cfg/TypePalettes where I have a my own file.
    >Is there a reason to it? Do I need to include it manually?
No it does not include it because it is not needed unless you plan to edit on the deployed sequence (generally not recommended). If you add a custom type to a sequence the sequence file will have a copy of the type. You can include the types palettes manually in the workspace if desired.
    >3) When I included workspace in the utility I get the following errors:
    >What does the message mean?
The deployment utility thinks you have a VI to deploy, it is trying to load LabVIEW and failing because LabVIEW is not installed.
    >What to do about it? I don't use any LV in my system!!!!!
Somewhere there is a .vi or .llb in the system. Find the VI(s) and uncheck them. I did find a bug that the deployment utility caches the flag indicating if a VI is present, but it is easily worked around: Save a tsd file, Press the New button and then reload the tsd.

  • Eliminate warings

hi  i am working with SQL developer Tool,
here i am some warings in my procedure.. but not errors.
here my PM wants to eliminate those warings..
    how to do this issue..
    like below..
    Package body [email protected]...
Warings(167,21): PLW-07204: conversion from column may result in sub-optimal plan
Waring(1856,23): PLW-07202 bind type would result in conversion away column type

The problem might be, that you cannot eliminate the warnings.
E.g. if you have a package with many functions, each has an exception section where the error is logged and reraised without a RETURN. You won't see usefull warnings (Warning(1,1): Only first 20 issues are reported) for all those
Warning(675,1): PLW-05005: function GETZAW returns without value at line 737Or if I get tons of
Warning(1899,60): PLW-07204: conversion away from column type may result in sub-optimal query planin Selects like
WHERE col1 = NVL(col2,col1)Or if you can't fix it because
Warning(2134,17): PLW-06002: Unreachable codeshows a line that is reached regularily.
I think compiler warnings are a good invention but they can be improved.
    Regards

  • Suppress warnings from the BW server

    Hi,
We have about 10,000 queries in our current BW production system, which are web reports, workbooks and queries. I need to suppress the warnings that I get on these queries. I am aware of suppressing the warnings
    - for each query from RSRT and
    - suppressing them from the Web template properties.
But it's a lengthy and time consuming process to implement this on 10,000 queries. Is there a way to eliminate/suppress either a selected warning message or all the warning messages from the server ?
    Thanks in advance.
    - Neena.

Wouldn't a majority of your queries be using a standard template?  For these at least you could change the property in the template.  This would resolve your issue for all standard queries in one step.

  • Repair Permissions Warnings

I keep getting the following warning messages in Leopard when I repair permissions. Even if I repair again, I get the same messages. I did a complete erase and install of Leopard. Then I don't get the warnings. But when I upgrade to 10.5.1 I get the warnings again. Something in the upgrade is doing this. System works fine, just wish I could eliminate this.
Anyone know what is going on here, or have had similar behavior?

    Permissions repair complete

I'm getting a very similar set of "warnings" when I repair permissions. This is after a new install of Leopard followed by using migration assistant to copy my documents from an external drive. I tried re-running the 10.5.1 upgrade using the stand alone installer instead of software update but this did not fix the problem. The name of my boot volume is a single word.
I had problems with Office apps related to lack of permission for some accessory files but fixed the problems after deleting all the preference files associated with Office. I also had to copy my address book files over from the backup for similar reasons. Quite a mess really.

  • Adobe instructions for eliminating repeated warnings

Found this off-the-beaten-trail site for Adobe instructions to eliminate the repeated warnings.
    http://kb2adobe.com/cps/401/kb401499.html
Note that this is a fix for only a specific combination of browser and Flash Player Versions (but not the writer's PC). It may or may not work for other combos.
At anyrate, it illustrates at a technical level how deeply the Adobe Brokered Process invades the command and control system of the user's PC.  Way beyond my skill set to unravel.
This level of complexity and assumed user skill level also illustrates a question the writer posed in an earlier topic.  Has Adobe Systems cut itself off from ad placement to the most affluent but least IT skilled 20% of the total population between ages 55-85 by releasing V10+? It is not rational to assume that ad receptive consuming seniors like myself are equipped to successfully install/upgrade to Flash Player Ver 10.3  After uninstalling  Flash Play for the last time, the writer's typical browser window is now sprinkled with empty frames stating that V10+ is required to view this advertisement. Ah - peace) Go figure.
    greybeardIT

Hi again, If you are having a problem concerning Flash Player you should provide your computer information and describe the problem. No one has any idea if you are asking for help in solving an issue, or just making statements.
The link you posted in this thread is giving a Server Error by the way.
I'm including your other thread you started so anyone reading this thread will have some background:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856781?tstart=0
Also, it's better if you don't start more than one thread since any info becomes scattered.

  • Warnings re. "set-ID" when installing infrastructure

    Hi,
I am installing the 10gAS infrastructure, and when I run the "root.sh" script, I am getting "chmod" warnings on 3 files in /opt/oracle/infrastructure, extjob, oracle, and emtgtctl12:
"Corresponding set-id also disabled on file since set-id requires execute permissions"
If I let it continue, the installation seems to complete successfully even with the warnings, but I'm just curious as to:
    1) Why these warnings are occurring, and
    2) Is the installation ok even with the warnings, and
    3) Is there any way to eliminate the warnings next time I do an installation?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Jim!
I believe root.sh used chmod to remove exec bit and forgot about set-id, probably on the group so it's a good thing that too was disabled :-)
Look into root.sh and check permissions on oracle executable in infra-home/bin
    about 2) and 3)
Oracle only can tell you if current file perms are ok (hence installation ok) and change the script to correct errors and avoid warnings.

  • [SOLVED]Warnings

Well I have a certain problem. When I start any application for the first time (first time after reboot) it starts up very slowly and I think it could be connected to the configuration of xorg. My video card is ATI Radeon 9550. The log file returns a few warnings and no errors. I would like to eliminate those warnings even if they are not connected with the starting speed of those applications/.

Ah, I see in your original post there are no errors in your log - sorry I missed that before.    I'm still curious if using the free 'radeon' driver (available in the packages xf86-video-ati and libgl-dri  -- you'll need to uninstall fgrlx first) works better than the fglrx driver for you.
Also, that xorg.conf looks pretty messy - I've cleaned it up a bit for you here.  It should do exactly the same as the one you posted, but it's easier to read and follow.  If you decide to use it, back up your existing one first, just in case I've buggered something up.

  • Unit Testing, Null, and Warnings

I have a Unit Test that includes the following lines:
    Dim nullarray As Integer()()
    Assert.AreEqual(nullarray.ToString(False), "Nothing")
The variable "nullarray" will obviously be null when ToString is called (ToString is an extension method, which is the one I am testing). This is by design, because the purpose of this specific unit test is to make sure that my ToString extension
method handles null values the way I expect. The test runs fine, but Visual Studio 2013 gives includes the following warning:
Variable 'nullarray' is used before it has been assigned a value. A null reference exception could result at runtime.
This warning is to be expected, and I don't want to stop Visual Studio 2013 from showing this warning or any other warnings, just this specific case (and several others that involve similar scenarios). Is there any way to mark a line or segment
of code so that it is not checked for warnings? Otherwise, I will end up with lots of warnings for things that I am perfectly aware of and don't plan on changing.

    Hi Nathan Sokalski,
Variable 'nullarray' is used before it has been assigned a value. A null reference exception could result at runtime.
Whether the warning above was thrown when you built the test project but the test run successfully? I assume Yes.
Is there any way to mark a line or segment of code so that it is not checked for warnings?
There is no built-in way to make some code snippet or a code line not be checked during compiling, but we can configure some specific warnings not to be warned during compiling in Visual Basic through project Properties->Compile
    tab->warning configurations box.
For detailed information, please see: Configuring Warnings in Visual Basic
Another way is to correct your code logic and make sure the code will not generate warning at runtime.
If I misunderstood you, please tell us what code you want it not to be checked for warnings with a sample so that we can further look at your issue.

  • How can I eliminate delays in one NIC when there is traffic on second NIC

Using LabVIEW TCP/IP VIs, my LV application is  accessing a database though a LAN, and  through a second NIC, it is controlling an instrument.  The instrument is connected directly to the computer NIC with a cross-over cable.  I have made a permanent route for the IP address of the instrument in the IP route table.  The LAN and the instrument have different subnet numbers.  Using a packet sniffer, I don't see any traffic meant for the LAN going to the NIC connected to the instrument.  The OS of the computer is Windows XP and the NICs are PCI cards.
The message traffic to the instrument suffers from intermittent delays when there is traffic going to the LAN.
How can I eliminate the delays?  What could be the cause of the delays?  Thanks in advance for your recommendations and suggestions.

    Hi LabBard,
Could you tell us a little more about the device that you are connected to? What you could try is to have a VI accessing the LAN, and a separate VI communicating with the instrument, and see how things play out.
Let us know how it goes!

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots.  Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.
See Pondini's page for more explanation:   What are Local Snapshots?   http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
I have restarted my computer, but the information remains the same. How do I reclaim the use of the 300GB? Why is it showing up as "Backups" when it used to indicate "Photos"? Are my photos safe on the external drive?
You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library.  Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.
