Email deletion issue

Hi All
Am having a problem deleting emails from the dashboard - I select and delete... and then a few seconds later they often reappear! This is particularly the case when you select and delete multiple emails in one go... when most, but not all reappear.
Is this a wider problem - or just me?

are using WiFi? Mobile Data? or USB?
If you are using data or WiFi, try switching to USB connection and reproduce the issue.

Email deleting issues on my Macbook pro.

Hello all,
Just picked up the macbook pro last week and have been an iPhone user for about 5 years now. I currently use both yahoo and gmail and have them setup on my iPhone and Macbook. I've noticed when I delete any of my emails from gmail, they delete right away on my macbook, but when I delete my emails from yahoo, they stay on the Macbook. Even if I refresh or get new mail, nothing changes. The yahoo mail is set up at IMAP, I've checked all the settings with both gmail and yahoo and both are setup identically. I've even deleted yahoo mail off of the macbook and iPhone and then set it up over and over to no change.
Also I had tried out the macbook air the previous week, everything worked fine. Swapped it out for the macbook pro and had issues with this day 1. Took it to apple today, the guy couldn't figure it out. Appreciate any help I can get.

To clarify the issue...when I delete emails off my iPhone, the gmail emails delete simutaneously, but the yahoo emails do not delete at all. Right now, I have to double delete off iPhone and Macbook for the yahoo emails. Now if I delete off my macbook, they disappear when I check on my iPhone, so its working correctly that way. Thanks.

Email password issues

Why am i having email password issues? This is the email from [email protected] "Your account (email) could not be authenticated. If you have recently changed your email password, please enter the most current password in settings to continue receiving emails. You can enter the password 100 times a day and still will not receive emails.
Anyone have an answer?

Delete and re-add the account. I just had the same thing happen, and that fixed it. I think it was some error on Verizon's end.

Q. I have an IPAD air having problems with my email deleting after a short while without command.

I've had issues like this before.
I ended up having to call my provide to reset the connection, which worked for a while, then quit. i then took it into my provider for a new sim card and had the connection re-established again. I haven't had issues since.
hopefully for you resetting the connection with your provider will do the trick and a new SIM card wont be nessesary.

Saved email deleted by icloud update

Apparently - Apple has deleted hundreds of emails as part of the iCloud "free storage reduction" from 20GB to 5GB. I had a saved folder with HUNDREDS of emails in it - ALL EMAIL WAS WELL UNDER THE 5GB LIMIT.
The folder was there with several sub-folders last Saturday - I check today - the subfolders and all contents are gone. Only a handful I've put there in the last few days.
HOW DO I GET THIS EMAIL BACK??????
I'm so frustrated with getting IOS updates that keep screwing with the amount of time to keep deleted messages, etc. and having to turn everything off and check that BEFORE it attempts to sync with mail as well.

Ok - I did find some most of my old emails (I hope) on my TM backups. I've since moved all of my old mail to my local disk so I can get backupos consistently. I'm still not sure I got them all - but it looks like I got most back. I have no idea what happened - but since it happend at the same time as getting the email that my iCloud free storage went away (from the 20GB to 5GB), I can only assume at this point that something there caused the problem.
I don't use iCloud for anything else. Without the ability to manage it (more like Dropbox, Box, G-Drive), it's virtually useless to me. While it might be nice to do backups from my iOS devices to iCloud - I simply don't trust cloud services very much.
My reply to this has been delayed, since I've also been battling the iTunes/Podcasts deletion issue. Lost about 30GB of Podcasts, and so far, no "fix" mentioned fixes the issue. It's a good thing I've been paranoid, and used rsync for the last 3 years to sync iTunes (and some other directories), to multiple external USB and network drives.

Original email deleted when respond

I have Outlook 2013. By default when the sender or email recipient responds to an email the original email is deleted. How do you remove this default?

Hi Mary, do you mean you've found the root cause of this issue? Seems there is a little problem with the link you provided.

Email notification issue in some schemas

My problem is almost identical as here DBMS_SCHEDULER send email notification issue
One privileged scheduler user - user1 receive email notifications while two another (user2, user3) no.
More plot is below i know 'what' resolve the problem but don't know how to do it :-)
I want to execute code below on user3 schema, we tried this successfully on user2 (code executed directly on schema with temporary sys.dbms_aq access) so he receive his notifications.
Problem is - we do not have direct access to second account (user3) how to execute this code as user3 ?

Already tried create procedure on user3 and execute immediate annonymous block but it still register with USER# 1 not 3 in DBA_QUEUE_SUBSCRIBERS.
More detailed plot:
Jobs for user2 and user3 was created by user1, so JOB_CREATOR was user1 but OWNER was user2 or user3.
We started with notifications configuration witch was ended with error on both user2 and user3 accounts:
ORA-24093: AQ agent SCHED$_AGT2$_XX not granted privileges of database user1
W get rid wit this using
dbms_aqadm.enable_db_access(SCHED$_AGT2$_2, user1);
dbms_aqadm.enable_db_access(SCHED$_AGT2$_3, user1);
So user1 get privilege on agents for user2 and user3
I believe error was already there because DBMS_SCHEDULER.add_job_email_notification is more automatic it probably registered subscriber that belongs to user2 and user3 with wrong USER# ID that belongs to user1.
Database is 11.2.0.3

it doesn't work because notifications are set from user1 account so USER# is still 1 even when I removed record first.

There is no email delete sound on iPhones or any iOS device. The "swish sound" is the send email sound.

How deleted do you need it to be?
QuickTimeKirk says it may never have been stored on your Mac. This assumes your mail connection is via IMAP, which keeps the mail on the mail server.
If you were using POP connection for mail, then your mail would be stored in
Finder -> Go -> Go to folder -> ~/Library/Mail
and
Finder -> Go -> Go to folder -> ~/Library/Mail Downloads
Any file deleted, will just have its name in the directory removed, and the storage given back to the file system to reuse at a future date. Until the file system gets around to reusing the storage, it will still have the contents of the email written on it.
If you are using System Preferences -> Security -> FileVault, then the deleted storage will just be encrypted random bits. Otherwise, it may be possible to recovery the email with the right specialized tools and enough time and money, right up until the storage is reused for another file (and even then with a lot more money and time, it may be possible to recover the email; when I say a lot more money, I really a whole bunch of money).
You can use Disk Utility to "Erase Free Space". This cause Disk Utility create a file, then grow that file until all the unused storage, including your deleted email are allocated to this file. The file is overwritten with an erase pattern, and then Disk Utility deletes the file, and now all the unused storage contains a random bunch of erase pattern bits in them.
If you are using an SSD (Solid State Disk), then due to the way SSD storage is managed, it is next to impossible to insure that the data is erased, and because SSD's have a limited number of writes before they start to fail, Disk Utility does no provide the Erase Free Space option, so as not to prematurely shorten the life of the SSD. With an SSD the only way to be sure something cannot be recovered is to keep the disk encrypted using System Preferences -> Security -> FileVault. And you would have had to do that BEFORE the email was written to the SSD, not after.
So, how deleted do you need it to be?

Did you change the ID, or did you create a new Apple ID? If you had simply changed the ID then what I suggested above should work as the ID itself is the same (even though the name of the ID - the address - has changed).
However if you created a new ID, logged in with that, and purchased items on it, then you have two separate IDs each with purchased associated with them. You say that you can't log in to the original account with the 'alternate' email - have you tried logging in with the original email address? It doesn't matter if it doesn't actually work to receive mail, as far as logging in is concerned it's just a text string.

Delete Issue with 1:M Relationship.

We had following Relationship M-M relation mapped through a cross Reference Table.
Table Cust(customer Table), AddrXRef (XRef table), Addr(Address)
Relationship is as follows.
Cust - > AddrXRef 1-M Privatly Owned
AddrXRef -> Cust 1-1
Addr -> AddrXRef 1-M Privatly Owned
AddrXRef -> Addr 1-1
Here the Sittuation we have a use case where two row in AddrXRef table which
share the the same Addr Row for Same Customer. We need to update one of
the AddrXRef row to association with a New Addr row.
We tried create a new instance for instance of Addr Object and associating it
to existing AddrXRef instance.(Both Forward and Back Refrence for Add ->AddrXRef)
The behaviour we see is instance of issue update on AddrXRef table and Insert of new row in Addr table. We see two insert one of new Addr row and one for AddrXRef.
and delete issue for AddrXRef row and old Addr row which is shared with other AddrXRef row.

The problem is that by making the AddrXRef privately owned it cannot be reparented. Once it is removed from it's parent's list (either one) it will be deleted. To achieve what you're trying to do you'll need to delete the old incorrect AddrXRef and replace it with a new correct one.
From the TopLink Developer's Guide[1]:
When you tell TopLink that a relationship is privately owned, you are specifying that:
* If the source of a privately owned relationship is deleted, then delete the target.
* If you remove the reference to a target from a source, then delete the target.

TS4002 icloud email deletes large blocks of text randomly

In a windows based environment, icloud email deletes large blocks of text randomly. So while typing emails, often the entire body of text is deleted randomly. Any solution for this problem?
