Email login recurring problems

For almost a week when I try to logiin I am getting an error message 'Web site not available' when trying via BT.com. Sometimes it works. Now it is becoming a problem more regularly.
Telephone help said to try via www.mail.yahoo.com - this works.
When is the service to be sorted out or do I abandon BT ofr email entirely?

This work if I copy and paste it to browser. Still does not work if I use yje BT.com - email - login screen this evening. Today OK this morning and afternoon byt not since 1800.
Worked OK after clearing cookies and cache as suggested by another correspondent.
Lets see what happens tomorrow!

I can't find where to delete that email login.  iCloud is also showing my new email login, plus a bogus one I accidentally created trying to fix this problem. Now the calendar on my MacBook Pro won't sync with my iPhone5.

    It sounds like you have the Find my iphone Activation lock for sure. Go to www.icloud.com/find and see if you put in that Apple ID that is coming up and yoru password to see if you are able to sign into the account that way to turn it off. If you are unable to, you will have to contact AppleCare by phone (chat cannot handle account lock outs or forgotten password due to not being able to verify your identity) and see if they can reset it. And are you sure the Apple ID that is coming up yours?

  • Windows 8.1 Enterprise joined to Active Directory, shows email login

    In Windows 7, I knew how to set the login default domain to Active Directory via the registry. That setting does not seem to have the same effect in Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
    I have a tablet joined successfully, and can login without any errors. The only problem I have is when it boots up, or someone logs out, the login screen defaults to the MS Live email login. We do not use that in our Domain, and I want to either disable
    that option, or set it to connect to our Active Directory servers as the first option.
    I have looked in Local Group Policy, the Registry, etc. and have not found anything that refers to that. Is it something simple that I am just overlooking?

    I believe the group policy you are looking for is called "Accounts: Block Microsoft Accounts"

  • Email account setup problem with Messages app

    Having recurring problems lately with a Rogers pop3 email account not syncing properly in the Playbook Messages app, unless I'm on a wifi connection. Continually tells me it's encountered an unexpected problem connecting to the Rogers server when only bridged through my phone. Is something screrwing up, or is the app designed for wifi only? I don't recall this problem originally.
    Also having all kinds of fun setting up the account and having it complete the process properly. It tells me it can't connect with the server/it's not available at this time, blah blah blah. Tried just entering the email address and letting the tablet do its thing; have used multiple settings in the Advanced setup, as verified by using the EVAT tool (though it seems to only have PC, not Playbook options). Again, maybe this is just a wifi-only issue(?), but even on wifi setup seems iffy.

    Rogers has different setting for home and mobile use and it can be painful to deal with
    Basically they lock it down for one use or the other and not for both.
    It was inteneded to be used only with your home PC and not a mobile device and some ISP have made changes to allow it
    POP protocol isnt that robust and if possible use IMAP or better to use exchange active sync if possible (not all ISP use IMAP or EAS)
    I gave up on it and switched to outlook.com

  • New email login page scam advert - Beware.

    On 23rd December my other half saw an advert on the new email login page for a 14 day trial of something called RVTL Anti Aging cream, all you had to pay was the postage (£2.99). This is basically a scam as the 14 day clock starts as soon as you click and there is a nasty £95 surprise taken from your credit card 14 days later unless you cancel before. The £95 is not mentioned anywhere you can see it when you place the order.
    In our case with Christmas and New Year holidays the product did not even arrive until day 15 so there was no chance to cancel before the deadline. We called their service desk and was told bluntly that the 14 days had expired and they had taken the money. The bank also informed us they could not stop the transaction, although any future ones will be refused.
    The company names concerned seem to be  Sheridan Labs and JEM Marketing of Cranleigh in Surrey and Equinox Beauties operating from a PO box in Linlithgow.  I did a quick search yesterday when we realised what was going on and it seems to be a well known problem. My Norton anti-virus even flags some of their RVTL web pages as unsafe.
    I am very surprised and shocked that BT would allow such scammers to operate from the BT mail website and have asked BT for an explanation.

    I access my email using MS Outlook 2007 (POP3).  I have 3 BT mailboxes, and most of the time I can send and receive email with no problem.
    However, several times a day I get a message from Outlook that the server has rejected my login for one or more of the mailboxes (no particular one, it can happen with any of them).
    With no action from me, the login is accepted later.
    Why is my login being rejected, seemingly randomly?

    I'm afraid that this is a mail server issue, it's not a mail client issue (e.g. in your case Outlook 2007).

  • Browser Hijack? New tab to hijacked Yahoo/AT&T email login opens when booting Mozilla

    When I boot Mozilla two tabs open rather than one. The second tab is to a hijacked email login page asking for my Yahoo/AT&T email password. This second tab appears every time I boot Mozilla and links to the webpage below. I run Windows XP and have the McAfee suite of security programs that comes with AT&T DSL and have changed my password after it was hacked, but I want to stop the second hijacked tab from appearing, for fear I may mistakenly login there again and disclose my new email password.

    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

  • I need help with an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2

    I’m having an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2     Model:  MC774C/A;  IOS VERSION: 6.1.3 (10B329). 
    While I use 4 email accounts on the iPad -- Hotmail, Gmail, iCloud and ns.sympatico.ca ( a division of BellAliant) – the sending difficulty only relates to the ns.sympatico.ca.  The settings for this account are:         pop.bellaliant.net            and      smtp.bellaliant.net
    I first noticed the problem about 3 weeks ago while travelling across the country (Canada).  (I do recall about that time there was an update of my IOS and I also for my wife purchased from the Bell store an iPhone which shares my Apple account.)  Prior to that everything worked well for a couple of years.
    I noticed earlier this month that the iPad received mail fine but would not send at night using the motels’ WiFi.  During the day, using my 3G account, all worked fine.  I phoned Bell but was told that my experience was normal so I thought no more about it until I returned home and found the same problem at the house.  I called Bell again and worked for 2 hours with 3 Bell technicians who succeeded in getting the iPad to neither send nor receive and gave up advising me to take the iPad into a Bell store to have it looked at.  I did that and the young technician got the iPad sending and receiving by changing the        smtp.bellaliant.net      to         mail.1xbell.ca
    However, when I returned home again, I realized that it was working on my 3G and still doesn’t send on my WiFi
    I’m looking for any suggestions that might solve this annoying problem?

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    On each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
    This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so.

  • How do I get around the email Apple ID problem on iCloud?

    My Primary Apple ID is not an email address. After following Apple's prompts on my iPhone after installing IOS5 I (and I regret this emmensely), created a new ID with my primary email, the same one that is the email linked to my other Apple ID. It allowed me to do this.
    Since iCloud would be fairly unmanageable on my iPhone and Macs with 2 IDs, I'd like to figure out the best way to trick the system to merge all this mess into one account.
    Here's my problem.
    My primary Apple ID is a simple username.
    The email for it is my primary email
    The secondary Apple ID account I created for iCloud is that same email.
    The email for it is that email.
    What I want to do is change my primary Apple ID with the username to the primary email name, in order to make all my iTunes purchases synchable with iCloud.
    I do know that Apple does not allow an ID to be cancelled, so I can't go this route to get rid of the current email one.

    I signed to iCloud using a [email protected] email address as the username. It's the same email address as my primary ID's email.
    The problem is not buying apps or music using the iCloud ID, it's managing them later.
    You'll end up with a big mess of apps and music all over the place. You won't be able to sync to iCloud all the music you have on your primary ID.
    I made the mistake of buying an expensive app using the iCloud ID on my phone, only to not have it be able to sync to my computer, which uses my primary Apple ID. I had to go through Apple to have them void that purchase and buy it again using my primary Apple ID.
    All my issues would have been avoided if Apple had allowed me sign up for iCloud using my current Apple ID.
    It's because of their requirement that the ID username needs to be an email address.

      I've setup nokia email without any problem using my WiFi and it was synchronizing without a problem. Since then I've I'm unable to change the Access Point to my Mobile provider. I keep getting "Server not found", even though the server name is still properly configured (netac3.vie.hosting.com). Can anyone help?

  • Email new password problem

    Hi
    I have recently had to change my BT email password because I got hacked.
    I can log into my email online no problem with the new password. I've changed the password, in Windows Live Mail but it only works some of the time. Yesterday all emails were getting through, today it keeps asking for the password - and when I put the new one in it says its not correct.
    I've run BT desktop help and it also says the password is not correct. (it is!!)
    Any ideas?

    I can see your posting now, its in my waiting folder. I have to arrange a trigger for posts with my name on, as there are far too many posts to wade through otherwise
    This is an ongoing issue with POP3 access which is unlikely to be fixed, as Yahoo say that the sevice is working within acceptable limits.
    Personally I use IMAP access via Thunderbird, and so do many others on this forum. That seems to work fine, perhaps you would like to try it as well as Windows live.

    The login loop problem I'm facing is not the usual login loop problem when starting up mac; it's when I'm trying to log into websites or applications (most of them, eg. facebook, instagram).
    I have tried:
    using other browsers: Safari, Firefox, Maxthon, Chrome
    clearing all cookies / caches / keychains / passwords
    repairing disk
    deleting launchservices cache
    using other userid to login
    All to no avail.
    How do I solve this without having to reformat/install mac?

    I changed my email on Apple account and now I can't access the older one.
    What happens is that how the email has changed it can't find the old one that is settle up on the notebook and iphone.
    So I thought about disconnecting from the old email (login) and connecting to the new one.
    But the password is not accepted and when I try to make a new one it changes the password linked to the new email!!!!!!!
    Don't what to do anymore.
