  • How to enable email notification in OIM 11g

    Hello,
I am currently working in a stock 11.1.1.3.0 environment, and am trying to enable email notifications when a user requests to be provisioned to AD.
The default approver is Xelsysadm, and I have put my email address in this account's slot. However, I'm not receiving any emails during the request process.
How do I enable emails to be sent to the approvers?
    Thanks!

    try below
    1. set the value of system property RequestNotificationLevel=1 (1=enable, 0=disable) bydefault it is 0
    2. create An IT resource of name "Email Server" and type "Mail Server" must be configured for sending notifications
    3. provide the server detail(IP address will be enough) in above it resource
there are the default request template "Request Creation" which will trigger in this scenario.
for configuring custom notification template and details follow below links

  • Urgent: Regarding Sending Email Notifications

    Hi all,
We have scenario in which we have to search those users who has not accessed their accounts from last 2 years and then send them an email notification and after one month of notificatio we have to search those users who have been notified but yet not accessed their account and delete those accounts from LDAP.
For this we are using JNDI to search users. Now we are facing two problems:
    1. The users email ids are in the form of List. When we refer this list in To address of Email Template then it gives us an exception: Saying that service not responding, No recepient addresses while in case of hard coded values it runs successfully. I think this is due to that it requires a semicolon(;) seperated list to send email notification. Thats why we thought that we have to use some looping to send the notifications to one user at a time. But if there is any other solution, please suggest.
    2. For the scenario of the users to be deleted, how will we come to know whether after two years the users have been notified successfully??
This is really urgent. Please suggest any idea regarding the above issues.
    Thanks & Regards
    Gaurav Jain

The way to do it would be to put your human task inside a while loop. This while loop would set a variable to the approver's userid and would continue till all the four approve it. In your human task you need just one approver and that would be the variable which the while loop sets.
If you do it this way, then you can use the OOTB notification tab in the .task and select the 'Assignee' as the email notification receiver and you won't have to worry about getting the email ids as well.
As for the current approach which you have, that is of using the sequential approvers in the human task, I haven't tried it, but just try setting the notification tab in the .task to 'Assignee' and event 'On Assignment'. That should do it as well.

  • Sending email notifications in oim 11g approval flow dynamically

    Hi,
I have 4 level approval workflow in oim 11g and developed custom composite to get all the approver ids and and assigning these ids into 4 variables.
And used these variables in my custom 4 level sequential workflow. This workflow is working fine. Now I need to update this composite to send email notifications to the approver. So updated code to retrieve email ids and to store them in 4 more vairables. I cannot send all emails at a time thru the code. I need to send email only to the corresponding approver only when the flow reaches to that particular level.
Subject and body will be same but the email address will vary.
Can you please let me know the step by step process to implement notifications to these many levels.
If you think, this is not correct approach (storing all email ids in variables and then sending notifications), please let me know correct approach.
    Thanks,
    Mary

  • How to create a Email Notification in SRM5.0 ?

    Dear SRM Experts,
    This is my requirement:
Requirement: If Delivery date for a PO is approaching, system should send notification E-mails to approvers and PO initiators. Program execution and dates for notifications will be affiliate specific.
Each affiliate should be able to define text for E-mail notification and number of days before delivery date when reminder should be sent.
We need to send an email notification if Delivery date is approaching that is 3 days before delivery date,if no action is taken then
PO needs to be locked .
Kindly help  me regading the requirement.
    Thanks&Regards,
    Chitra

    Chitra,
you can have one record per affiliate in the custom table with Standard Text name and no of days and in your program based on the text name and no of days you should able to send notification also for locking the PO from approval the work item can be deleted(by program) so that the approver can no longer approve the PO.
    Thanks,
    Suresh

  • Rejected email notification are not generated in CUP 5.3

    Dear Experts,
The rejected emails are not getting delivered to the user in a particular scenario. Below is my scenario where the email is not generated
    1) The request has two roles with two role owners / BDOs
    2) The rejected email delivered if the manager rejects the request
    3) the rejected email is not delivered if one of the bdo rejects the request first and then the other BDO approves the request later.
    4) The rejected email is delivered to the user if one of the BDO approves first but the other BDO rejects only after the first BDO approved the request.
Our conclusion is that the rejected email will be delivered only the last BDO rejects the request but we want the email delivered at any level.
We are looking for some solution for the step 3 in the above mentioned steps. Any help or solution is appreciated.

    Varma,
You have two approvers in the same stage (BDO) whereas manager stage has only one approver. Whenever manager approvers/rejects there is noone else changing the approval and it goes to next stage. In the next stage (BDO), anyone approver can change the approval before it gets routed to the next stage. Can you check the rejection level setting in the BDO stage configuration? If you set the rejection level to request instead of role, this should reject and close the request and CUP will send the email notification.

  • Email notification is not send to contact person in SRM 7.0

    Hi Friends,
I am in SRM 7.0 and SP03. I am using program '/SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND' to send notification to approver.
Email notification is not sending to contact person in SRM 7.0 after all approvers approved the shopping cart. I even enabled checkbox 'Approval of application object' for Contact person (in most cases, the creator of the document) in the SPRO-SAP Supplier Relationship Management-SRM Server-Cross Application Basic Settings-Business workflow-Process-Controled Workflow-Business Process Configuration-Define Recipient of Notifications. Am i missing something or is it how SRM 7.0 Build. I knew that this functionality is there in SRM 5.0 by activate the security level in the user settings(SU01), I also know that this setting will not work if we use Process control workflow. Any input on this..
    John.

    Hi Masa,
Thanks for your input. I maintained the below entries but still it is not working. creator is not still receiving approved Email once the shopping cart is fully approved.
    1 .SPRO-SAP Supplier Relationship Management-SRM Server-Cross Application Basic Settings-Define Transaction Types -
BUS2121 - SHC - Event Schema as SC.
    2. I enabled all four check boxes in this path Define Recipient of Notifications - approve shopping cart - contact person ( in most
cases, the creator of the document ) .
But I don't know how to maintain or what to maintain for Define Event Schema. This will be highly appreciate if you share your great experience on this..
    Hi Masa,
I got approved Email after 10 mins. I don't know is this how the standard email send to requestor any idea how to change this? I found the Standard task that mail is sending

I am facing another issue that the Email is having a PORTAL link (Login text above is basically a link), when i click and after login into portal a pop up is displayed 'The specified transaction mode is not allowed with respect to workflow status of current document'. any idea about this issue?

  • Approval email notification not routing to an approver

    Hi Experts,
For a certain PO value range there are existing approvers. We have added an additional approver to the PO approval matrix. Now, while changes are done for a PO the approval email is not going to the added approver. Instead it will send a mail notification twice to one of the existing approvers.
The added approver appears in SRM approval preview, aslo we find the approver in the workflow agents. In addition the approver gets the PO in the SRM inbox for approval, but only the email notification is not sent to this approver.
Any pointers to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Francis

    Hello,
Workflow approbation e-mails are taken from BP transaction. If there is no information there, e-mails are taken from SU01.
Some extra customising has to be maintained in order to have notifications sent out as an email:
    - Set the attribute FORWARD_WI for the requester;
    - In SO16, tab "Mail Sy.Grp", select "Send to home address of users".
    Kind regards,

  • Modify Email Notifications Used in Workflow

We are using content services with workflow and we have email notifications configured to be sent out to approvers when new document or delete requests are generated. The problem is, we are not using Oracle Mail, so the email that is generated contains links and attachments that are designed to execute in the Oracle Mail client, but do not work when opened and clicked on in our mail client.
I have read a few posts that suggest the email contents can be edited and customized using workflow builder, but I have yet to determine how this is done, or if there is any documentation pertaining to how this accomplished.
Anyone that can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

I tried the mentioned approach of creating a 2 step workflow which has the following steps :
    Created a criteria workflow .
Added following steps : -Reject Notification step(Edit/reveiw Step)-- added the condition -if wfAction like reject --notify the author with the custom template else move to next step with following piece of code :
       <$if wfAction like "REJECT"$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfNotify(dDocAuthor,"user","MY_WF_REJECT_MAIL")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "Test")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(1))$>
      <$else$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "Test1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(1))$>
      <$endif$>
-Approval step-(Edit/reveiw Step)-- in this reviewer is notified for the approval.
Now I'm stuck in --when the reviewer rejects the content both custom and OOTB mails are being sent though I have used <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$> in each step.
Now I'm not able to figure out what exactly needs to be done to suppress the OOTB notification.
    Thanks,

  • OIM 11g - Email Notification with direct link to Approval Task Details

    Hi,
We wanted to send email notifications to approver with direct link to the approval task details screen from which the user can either approve or reject the request. In OIM 11g OOTB Notification templates such as Request Creation contains the direct link to Request Detail screen which is something like
    http://localhost:14000/oim/faces/pages/Self.jspx?OP_TYPE=LOOKUP;E_TYPE=MY_REQUEST&T_ID=65
Wondering if there is something similar for Approval Task Details screen as well.
Any kind of help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Deepa

If at all you cannot get the direct link for approve/reject then try the actionable email from SOA. Once you have that configured the emails gets approver/reject links so that approvers can directly approve/reject the task from email. If that works for you then you can look at the format of those links in the email and deduce what you need the url as.

  • Email notification at start event

    hi gurus,
we are using leave request approval in ESS. the client wants to send email notif (outlook) to approvers informing them of an incoming request and that they need to login MSS. how can i incorporate that step in workflow WS12300111?
i tried using send mail and placing it before the approval step. however, i cannot determine the recipient because there's no rule option in the expression field. need your help.
    regards,
    paul

    Hi John,
You can also use RSWUWFML2 program for this. Just assign the task number  to this program as varient so that the user will recive a notification in this outlook id on clickling the sap ikon it will prompt his user name password, in this case he can't miss his workitem.

  • Approval workflow - email notification

    Hi,
I was run out of idea how to complete my assigned job, need oracle expert to help on email notification workflow.
Currently I am working on workflow enhancement with oracle application E-Business Suite for our company.
My job is to add in new approval process to approve Bank Details transaction through AME.
For this Bank Details transaction, the existing approval process is will only route to HR.
Now my job is to add Admin & Manager approval, which mean once the transaction is submitted and the approval processes are as below:
    Admin --> Manager --> HR
But this approval process will fall into 2 scenarios as below criteria.
Scenario1: If the selected Bank Name from List Of View (LOV) not "Other Bank" then the approval process is Manager --> HR
Scenario2: If the selected Bank Name from LOV is "Other Bank" (once Other Bank selected, user will need to enter the new Bank Name) then the approval process is Admin --> Manager --> HR
Once Admin approve, Admin will add the new Bank Name into LOV.
Both scenarios will auto trigger email notification to the approver once there is pending for Admin and Manager approval.
For scenario1, our email process package able to send out email notification to the manager.
But for scenario2, email notification not send to Admin. FYI, our Admin is a group of persons assigned to Admin group.
My doubt here is how to let this email notification able to send out to Admin group?
Hopefully anyone of oracle workflow expert could help me as soon as possible.
    Thanks.

    Hi Mike,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to use workflow to send emails to the approvers when a task process completed in SharePoint Designer 2010.
First, when you add the “Start Approval Process” action to create the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010, you can click on “these users” to set the task process participants and you can choose “One at
a time (serial)” or “All at once (parallel)” to set how the tasks will
    be created.
Then, if you want to send an email to the approver when a single task process completed, you can click on “Approval” in the
“Start Approval Process” step to edit the task process and click on “Change the behavior of a single task” in the “Customization”
to add the “Send a Task Notification Email” action in “When a Task Completes” section as below:
And if you want to send emails to the all approvers when all tasks are completed, you can click on “Approval” in
the “Start Approval Process” step to edit the task process and click on “Change the behavior of the overall task process” in
the “Customization” to add the “Send an Email” action in “When the Task Process Completes” section as below:
If you want to use the approval workflow to update the content approval status, then you can add the “Set Workflow Variable” action to set “Variable: EnableContentApproval” to “Yes” after you add the “Start
Approval Process” action in the workflow, and it should be added above the step “Start Approval Process”.
Please refer to the link below to add the “Set Workflow Variable” step in the workflow:

  • OIM 11g: send direct link to approval tasks in email notification

    Hi all!
What do I want to achieve: I want to send email notification to assignee in case if some approval task in OIM has assigned to them and this notification must have a direct link to the page of approval task details from which assignee can approve or reject an approval task.
The default email notification that exists in approval task “DefaultRoleApproval” has a direct link to a request details page:
    <a href="<%substring-before(/task:task/task:payload/task:url , "/workflowservice/CallbackService")%">/oim/faces/pages/Self.jspx?OP_TYPE=LOOKUP&E_TYPE=MY_REQUEST&T_ID=<%/task:task/task:payload/task:RequestID%>>
But unfortunately from this page we can’t do any action such as reject or approve.
To find a direct link to an approval task details page (Self Service -> Tasks -> Task Details: Approval) from which I can perform needed operation I used document ID 748447.1. But I haven’t found a direct link.
What is the direct link to task details page for approval with exact ID which I can include in an email to satisfy my requirement?
    Thanks in advance!</a>

If at all you cannot get the direct link for approve/reject then try the actionable email from SOA. • Form link does not appear in email notification.

Form link does not appear in email notification
We have added a custom notification to the OM workflow process. The notification itself has a form attribute which provides a link to the sales order form. This works fine when notification is viewed via worklist - notifications within apps. The link does not appear in the email notification.
Is there any alternate way to provide a form link to Oracle Applications form that can be accessed via email (after logging into application, if the user is not logged in).
    Thanks

Similar functionality is available in PO and Req Approval process. Can you take a look at the PO Approval Process workflow? I remember the email notification does show the link, which is a URL link and has parameters in it. This functonality provides where the approvers need to modify the document which is requested to be approved. So they can click on the link, modify and close and approve if necessary.
Are you expecting them to modify the same or you just want to show query only screen?
There is a webpage available to see order information called Order Information (user Order Information User resp). You can send parameters to that webpage and that should show login page opening up a seperate session with all the parameters in the URL. Once logged in that should show order information.
    Thanks

  • How to remove 'Please click here to Respond' link in email notification?

    Hi All,
The links in the workflow email notification that goes to timecard approvers when a timecard has been submitted.
It is causing a lot of confusion to the customer, so we would like the "Please click here to Respond" and "Click here to view attachment" be removed.
The "Please click here to Respond" is causing more problems but it would be great if both could be removed?
Can any one please tell me how to remove the above links in wokflow email notification?
