Emails I send being forwarded to me every time...
Every time I send an e-mail, it is forwarded to my inbox and my sent folder. This is getting annyoing. Is there a setting I'm not seeing to disable e-mails I send from automatically being sent to me as well?
Thanks!
Gmail only does this when you have recent mode turn on, or if you send messages from the GMail web interface. This is done because if you send an email from the web interface, that is the only way you can download a copy of your sent messages to your local PC.
If you send email with a mail client (like Outlook, or even the iPhone), then this does not happen.

Hello , I ordered the iPhone 6plus 128gb a few minutes before 3am est on Friday morning. I received my conformation email at 530am . As of then every time I try to check order status I receive the following message . We are experiencing system issues, please try again later. Is anyone else receiving this message when checking order status?
Are you seen that message when trying to view your orders from your Verizon account? I have the same issue but if you search your preorder confirmation number and enter you last name here Order Status | Verizon Wireless then it will at least give the vague details like, "your order has been received and is been processed" It will also show the expected delivery date.

Every time my lg g pad 8.3 lte tablet is turned off it reverts the saving email attachment back to internal storage. Every time I turn on, I change it back to save to SD card. It stays that way until it is turned off for more than a minute. If I do a restart, it holds the setting, but loses it when it is shut down for any period of time. Does anyone else have this issue? The setting holds for photos taken with camera storing to SD card. Only the email attachment setting does not hold.
I believe that system has a hall sensor on it to detect when the lid is closed so it can put the system to sleep and/or disable the monitor so it can be used with an external monitor only. If the sensor is marginal or has a bad cable, it may intermittently cut the monitor on and off, and may likewise put the system to sleep. One way to check would be to plug in an external monitor and if the laptop's screen cuts off or doesn't show up, start using the trackpad and press on a non-typing key like the shift key. If the external display suddenly pops and becomes active while the laptop display remains black, it's probably a problem with the sensor or the cable/connection. You might be able to fool the sensor into kicking on and off by moving a magnet over it. It's located on the left had side of the base with the unit opened up, and right over the audio output plug.
I know of some people that put a small magnet right over the hall sensor's location so the laptop display turns off and they use the system with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If fooling with magnets, make sure they're small and don't get them close to the hard drive because a strong magnet can wipe them out.
I don't know if this will help you much, but it might. -
On a 5C, how do I delete and trash emails to where they remain deleted? Every time I check emails it gives me the prior day's too even though they've already been dumped. Highly annoying!
Settings/Mail,contacts,calendars. Tap on the name of the account. Tap Advanced. Tap Remove after one day.
Also, do not try to read or delete messages while they are downloading. Wait until they finish and the phone beeps to confirm. If you delete messages before the mail retrieval session finishes they will not be removed from the server. -
FAX failure! Sending fax results in error every time.
I have been trying to use an Apple USB modem on my iMac (latest version). Every time I attempt to send a word processing document I get a failure message. The modem dials and connects to the remote computer and says it is sending the document but then it disconnects and reschedules another transmission.
Console gives the following errors:

Does anyone have an idea as to what is preventing the fax from working?
GriffThis is a problem on all Macs from what I can tell. I have had a Case open with Apple Support for over 2 months now regarding this issue and they are not helpful at all. I believe it is either a problem with the "efax" open source program that Apple uses or some hardware issue. I have many phone lines here and Apple USB Modem to Apple USB Modem for faxing works fine, but to our Fuji-Xerox machine here; Fax Protocol Error. So clearly in the Apple Utopia faxing is fine, so case closed!
It seems whenever there is a "fax protocol error", the fax has sent successfully, it's just that something happens prior to hang-up that causes this issue.
Here is my work around, which ignores "fax protocol errors". When "efax" (/usr/bin/efax) returns "0", this is success. "1" is something like line engaged, no answer, etc. (normal errors). "3" is "fax protocol error". Therefore as "root" in Terminal I did the following:
1. "mv /usr/bin/efax /usr/bin/efax.orig"
2. "vi /usr/bin/efax"
3. Enter the following (press "i" to insert text, <esc> to stop entering text):
#!/bin/sh
/usr/bin/efax.orig $@
RESULT=$?
if [ "$RESULT" = "3" ] ; then
RESULT=0
fi
exit $RESULT
4. Save and quit "vi" (enter ":wq")
5. "chmod a+rx /usr/bin/efax"
Good luck! -
Cannot update email password in settings - prompted for password every time I check mail
Every time I open my email inbox I am prompted to enter my password. Whether I enter it or "x" out of it, it continues to ask me for it every time. I went into settings and the stored password is not the correct one, so I update it, press done & it either says "server unavailable" or "save/edit," either way, it doesn't work (doesn't save when I press save, or doesn't allow me to save at all b/c of "unavailable server." Please help!!!
I have, endlessly. It continues to prompt me every time. And when I try to update my password in settings I see it is the incorrect one, but cannot change it either because it won't save even though it says it is.. Or it says the server is unavailable.

No email for sender when forwarding
ExternalUser sends an email to ExchUser1. ExchUser1 forwards this email to ExchUser2. When the forward takes place, the email address of ExternalUser is removed, and only the name of the user is displayed in the inline header.
The ExternalUser is not in the Global Address Book.
Any ideas?
Hi,
Is the scenario above what you want to accomplish or the problem you encountered?
By default, when we forward an email from an external sender, Outlook will display the sender's email address in the inline header. The only way I can find to remove the email address is manually selecting and removing it.
If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks,
Steve Fan

Why am I sometimes asked to verify my Apple ID by email?
When you create a new Apple ID or make certain changes to your account, Apple will require you to sign in by following the link in a verification email. This is to help protect your identity and keep your account secure. Some Apple services, such as FaceTime and GameCenter, require email validation.
How do I verify my Apple ID by email?
Simply follow the link in the verification email that says "Verify Now." Sign in with your current Apple ID and password, then click Verify Address. You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify. -
About a week ago, my mother tried to place a DVD into my MacBook Pro while it was still closed & sleeping. Of course it didn't anything, but allowed her ignorant self to push the disc quite far into the disc drive. Once opened & woken up, the disc drive responded & operated normally, allowing my family to enjoy another great episode of Hanks & Speilberg's Band Of Brothers... UNTIL, the following day I opened it up & it began to make that "sucking a disc into its slot" noise, quite a few times before quitting... It hasn't damaged my MacBook Pro to my knowledge, I even put the DVD back in to insure that the drive hadn't been broken, but continues this process EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to open up & utilize my top-of-the-line Apple product. I've tried to restart/shut down my notebook, but this hindrance proceeds to linger. Also, I've began to worry that the amount of times the optical disc drive performs this mechincal process could cause future damage. Furthermore, it's a bit of a nuisance when trying to stealthly get on my MacBook Pro at night and end up waking up everyone... I have also upgraded to OX X Mavericks 10.9.1, could partake in the problem at hand? I would greatly appreciate suggestions & hope someone knows the direct solution to this problem!
Thank you for your time Apple Support Community, I truly appreciate it...
Robert D. H.Damage was done when your computer fell. Your warranty if you have one and Apple Care do not cover accidental damage. Your only alternative is to take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.
NOTE: If you are out of warranty and purchased the computer with a credit card, discuss the warranty issue with the credit card company which you purchased the computer with. They are the only ones who can at this point cover the computer after it goes out of warranty with the manufacturer (Apple).
If you have Homeowners insurance, place a claim with them. -

Hey guys! Just wondering could use help me. I need to be able to excess my emails quicker as I rely on them for work. Can I adjust a setting so that emails appear like text messages? Is that possible?
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Push.
Settings > Notifications > Mail > Gmail > Turn all settings On and set an alert sound
The first one will push mail from the sever as you receive them. The second one will alert you like a text message.
Note: I used Gmail as an example. Set this for whatever account you need it for.
Hope that helps -

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Why is my ny times home page suddenly being sized way down every time I go to it?
Self explanatory. It just started happening when Gmail just changed its format (only one of the reasons I HATE Gmail.)
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
