Employee Master change

Hi guys,
I need to know is it possible that employee master data is entered by one person and confirmation by another person. In FI one person changes vendor master data and anonther person confirm it.

This is possible by Double verification Principle in HR security
<b>Symmetrical Double Verification</b>  :
In this procedure, two users are always required to be able to create or change an infotype's data. The users have the same authorizations for this.
These authorizations allow each user to create locked data records, change locked data records, and relock unlocked data records. In addition, each user can unlock data as long as he or she is not the last person to have changed the locked data. Neither user can delete data. 
New data is created by user A (or user B) and locked by user B (or user A).
To change existing data: user A (or user B) locks and changes the data and user B (or user A) unlocks the data. Another user must be consulted to delete existing data.
<b> or Asymmetrical Double Verification</b> :
In this procedure, two users are always required to be able to create or change an infotype's data. Here, the users do not have the same authorizations, which is why the process is called asymmetrical.
New data is entered by user A and unlocked by user B. Existing data can be changed in two ways: User B locks the data, user A changes the data, and user B unlocks the data again. Alternatively, user A creates a locked copy from the unlocked data and changes this copy. User B then unlocks the data. To delete unlocked data, user B locks the data which is then deleted by user A.
In this process, user A is always responsible for entering and changing data and user B for approving the changes.

    I need to send emplyee data like emp-no, name, email, phone, title etc from SAP system to a 3rd partysystem.
    Would it be advisable to use Change pointers or a custom Z* program which would pick data and send it to 3rd party. I am using XI as the middleware to send data.

    Hi,
    first decision is which IDoc you want use.
    Standard IDoc HRMD_A or a reduced ZHRMD_A IDoc.
    For an initial transport of all data (if needed) you could use transaction PFAL like mentioned by Michal above.
    Activation of change pointers: BD53
    Then you need the standard ALE configuration for sending your IDocs to PI (BD64, WE20, ...).

  • Change Vendor records per Employee Master

    Using RPRAPA000 pgm we should be able to update following fields:
    Names
    Address
    Email address- User exit
    Tax No
    Bank Details
    Payment Method
    Search Term is updated with last name
    Company Code
    Fields from Reference vendor u2013 Non HR data
    Reconciliation Account: 213000
    Payment terms: ZA01
    Question: I get message "Missing master data on key selection date" and under Bank Det column, it says the data is "missing". on employee master.
    I checked info type 9 and yes it is missing.
    So are bank details mandatory for changing vendor master data?

    Check in transaction OB24 and OB23 for the activity Change Vendor (Accounting). Here in change mode the Bank details may be made mandatory for FI reasons. Check first and confirm with business before you change.

    Simple question but can we change the employee number on the employee master data form ? We need to use the same employee numkbers from another system but just cannot interact with the employee no. in SAP 2007 ?

    You canu2019t modify the employee number. It is assigned by the system sequentially.
    But you can define a user defined field to store the other systemu2019s identifier or use (and even rename) some other field to store this information.

    No additional authorization assign to the superuser.
    Already created a new test company, created employee master data, try to update, and the "change log" still grey out.
    Tried on China and US localization.
    Is your side really work?

  • Utilizing SuccessFactors PMS solution without saving any employee master data in SF

    Hi Friends,
    We’re implementing SuccessFactors’s Performance Management Solution only at one of the client location in Saudi Arabia and trying to integrate with the On-Premise SAP HCM and Push the employee data to SF.
    However, due to security concerns customer doesn’t want to store any data on SucessFactors cloud solution to run the PMS cycle.
    During the purchase of license for SuccessFactors SAP has demonstrated client that, in SF a unique Id will be created for each employee, which will not be the actual UserID(PERNR)from SAP, and with this unique ID actual employee data will be tagged/linked  in SF which will fetch the data from SAP On-Premise system to run  the PMS cycle.  Once the user logins in SF, based on the unique ID data will fetch from SAP On-Premise system to SF on a real time basis and when the user logged out from the SF system, data should be cleared/deleted and nothing will be saved or stored in SF with respect to employee Master Data.
    I understand SAP has provided the standard add-on for the Employee Data Scenario between SuccessFactors and SAP HCM, which could have been leveraged here for integration, however with the above limitation this solution is absolutely out of scope.
      Please advice, if anyone has faced any such requirement.

    Dear Farhan,
    I'm with Luke on this. This is against anything we know about SAP and SF.
    However, taking a step back, I would really, really urge you to trigger a strategy discussion with your HR, IT and data privacy leaders.
    Let me be very blunt here:
    Even if such a process could be made possible at considerable cost and inconvenience, it is incosistent at its very core.
    If your strategy and culture are anti-cloud, there is a simple strategy execution: don't use cloud (yet).
    If your strategy is cloud, but your culture is anti-cloud (if I had to make a guess, that would be it), what you will see is your culture having your strategy for breakfast very soon, if I may use this old truism. I.e. it's not going to work.
    To be cloud-ready, culture, strategy and capabilities must be in line. Pushing capabilities by building very complex solutions will get you into a complexity spiral, which will eventually get the better of you.
    The decision to use cloud for such a key process (which soon, if not today, will probably be the right decision for most organisations), can't just be triggered by someone appreciating some screens being a bit prettier than in on-premise applications. The foundation needs to be there first. Your organisation has the opportunity to use the Performance Management Process to align culture and strategy with the changing business and technological environment - but to do so, you need to acknowlegde that the organisation is currently NOT cloud-ready and that this needs changing.
    Some good, provokative questions to start with could be:
    Why are some organisations (put in some names of well renowned companies, ideally leading organisations in your industry, using cloud HCM) successfully using cloud HCM, but we think we can't?
    Which advantages of cloud services are left, if we have a very complex custom solution built to avoid storing data in the cloud?
    Can our IT team demonstrate that they have better expertise in protecting data in systems accessible through the internet (and your SAP system will have to be accessible in some way, if SF is supposed to access the data) than world leading organisations like SAP and SuccesFactors?
    What is our roadmap for HR systems in the future and how does this weird architecture lead us along that road?
    Do the relevant decision makers actually understand, what cloud in general and Software as a Service in particular are?
    You may find it difficult to find an employee ready to ask your CIO, HR-Director and Data Privacy Lead these questions, unless they want to be fired anyway So, a 3rd party change agent may come in handy for that task.

  • Employee Master (Attributes) Date

      Employee Master Data
    I am extracting Master Data (Attributes) of any Employee from 3 Different Tables in Oracle.
    In Oracle
    The Primary Keys for 2 tables out of 3 are
    Employee No and Location
    The Primary keys for the Third table is
    Employee No ,Location and Job Date
    (Job Date: The Date when there is any change in Job is done..if any employee got a promotion from Manager to Senior Manager,They will change the JOB code and the Job Date)
    In the employee (definition) attributes screen i declared Job  as  time dependent and Job date as attribute.
    But while mapping Transformations i am seeing 0DATE FROM and 0DATE TO along with Job Date as well
    Please advise how to proceed

    hi,
    since the timedependent employee then you have to specify the valid from and to dates.
    for the date from or for date to you can assign the date filed keeping the other to the maximum value.
    if date from is assigned then assign dateto to 31.12.1999 else in the reverse assign the date from as starting date of transaction.

  • Labels reversed in french in Employee Master Data, fields Branch and Dept

    There is an error in SAP B1 2007A translation from english to french.
    In the Employee Master Data, in french, the labels Branch and Department are reversed. So our client has its Departments in OUBR and its Branches in OUDP.
    Is there a way to make a correction to those labels without creating an add-on?

    I've double-clicked on the labels and nothing happens. Is there a lock in the menu that has to be deactivated before we click on the labels in order to change the caption.
    I'm in the Employee Master Data interface and the labels for the Dept and Branch are reversed in the french version.

  • Accessing material master change information

    We have a requirement to pull all changes to material master records by month.  I know that I can hit the CDHDR and CDPOS tables using CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_HEADERS and CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_POSITIONS functions to pull this; however our change tables are so huge that the program is timing out.  Running in background does not work either because the spool request only shows a few of the pages (10, I think) where the document is actually over a thousand printed pages.   I can't email the spool request either because the file is too large. 
    My question is...is there an infostructure that only contains material master changes (as opposed to all changes as in the CDHDR and CDPOS tables?)  I know that when you go into MM03 and view materail master changes they pull up really quickly.  Is this program hitting something else rather than the CDHDR and CDPOS tables?  How do they pull up so quickly even if there are many changes.

  • Pane level is not working for created button in Employee Master Data

    Hai,
    I have created a button in Administration tab of Employee Master Data. I set the Pane level 3 for that button. Even though, when the Employee Master Data is opened, that button appears. ie., When Employee Master Data menu is clicked, Employee master data is opened in find mode and by default Address tab is active.But my button is visible here itself. I want that button visible only in Administration tab.
    How to resolve this.

  • ADFBC+JSF - Master change doesn't refresh detail

    I've the Master iterator driven by an <af:selectOneChoice> with 'autosubmit' set to true. As a UI for the detail iterator I've tried both ADF Read Only Table and with another af:selectOneChoice with no luck so far, when the Master changes (to a new current row), the Detail UI component isn't refreshed directly, I need to hit F5 to refresh the page in order to see the cascade changes.
    I've tested the Application Module and everything works fine (i.e when the current row in the master iterator changes, so does the details).
    I've tried to set the "CacheResults" attribute in the detail iterator to false in pageDef, I've set 'Refresh' to always, 'RefreshCondition' to #{true} and I've failed miserably in each attempt. Any help would be appreciated

    I've found a workaround that although far from being declarative, it works:
    - Set the af:selectonechoice's autosubmit attribute to false.
    - Add this new attribute: onchange="javascript:document.forms[0].submit();"
    Change 'forms[0]' accordingly if you have more than one form on your page.
    I hope there's a declarative way to accomplish the same behavior as IMO a selectOneChoice bound to a master iterator is a common way to 'navigate' or filter a detail collection (1..N relationship).

    There is no issue in changing the vendor master, but suddenly in Change - Contact Persons screen (Vendor master change), the system prompts to Fill in all required entry fields (which is mandatory - the system pops suddenly, but its not happened previsouly).     It is possible that a mandatory field is hidden (suppressed) in the vendor master fields.  That would help explain why this just started happening.  Check "Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Vendors)" and "Define Screen Layout per Company Code (Vendors)" in the IMG to verify the vendor master screens have not been changed.

    when we change the vendor details we dont have the event which is automatically triggered by the system so we create an zbusinessobject as subtype  for the vendor(LFA1)  as supertype.
    and create a new event in that z business object .
    change document for the vendor is KRED you can check it in the CDHDR table by giving tcode name.
    after finding changedocument object go to SWEC and create a newentry specifying your changedocumentobject name and BO name and event name and click on radiobutton onchange.
    and now you can check whether an entry is getting in swels or not when changing the vendoor details.
