Employee record remains locked after BAPI_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE

I use WebServices gererated by the wizard in SE37 to change Employee Data.
I call functions (through the webservice) in the following sequence:
BAPI_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE
BAPI_PERSDATA_CHANGE
BAPI_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE
The ENQUEUE and CHANGE operations work fine, but the record remains locked after that.
(as seen by SM12), it adds one more entry, and the employee remains locked. So question now is - how to successfully Dequeue it now ?
Here is a copy of entries as seen in SM12 after Enqueue, Change, and Dequeue:

Try using commit work statement after deque FM., else use DEQUE_ALL FM.

Time Machine Lock in Preferences window doesn't remain locked after a system reboot

I am not sure if this problem occurred in Lion or not, but in Mountain Lion, I'm noticing the lock in the lower left corner of the Time Machine preferences page doesn't remain locked after a reboot of the computer. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Is there a fix or is it a glitch that Apple will need to correct?

Record remains locked if computer hangs

I am running one application in oracle10.2.0.1.0 DB backend and forms 6i as front end.
sometimes if the workstation, where users entering data through the application hangs, then the particular record of data remains locked even if workstation is restarted.
The "STATUS" of the session id in v$session shows INACTIVE. The I have to kill that session id and then only the record becomes free to process further.
Please give me any suggestion.

If you kill your client badly, you don't perform a clean logout, so the session on the database persists and also the locks for this session.
Maybe you could modify the [sqlnet.expire_time|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/network.102/b14213/sqlnet.htm#sthref474] to get rid of the dead sessions faster.

Rows remain locked after merging workspace

I wasn't able to manually refresh a workspace with changes merged into LIVE workspace by another child workspace. It seems the rows merged into LIVE remain locked by the merged child workspace.
The sample code below illustrates the problem:

Until the 9iR2 (9.2.0.1) release of OWM, all continually-refreshed (CR) workspaces are, by default, locked in pessimistic mode. So, a workspace shared lock will be automatically taken on any rows modified by a CR workspace. In addition, when rows modified by a CR workspace are merged to its' parent workspace, we carry the locks forward. We need to do this to ensure that no other workspace can further refresh/modify this row thereby breaking the pessimistic mode of the CR workspace.
That is the reason you see the "row is locked" error. In other words, that is the current behaviour - it is not a bug.
Having said that, in our next release (9.2.0.2.0 Patch kit - available on OTN in the Software section of Workspace Manager as of Jan 30, 2003), we have removed this restriction. So, once you upgrade to this new kit, you should see this problem disappear.

Notification remains locked after BDC of IW21...

Hello, I have recorded two BDC sessions -- One for IW21 (Create Notification) and antoer for IW22 (Change Notification). After I run the first BDC for IW21, I pass in the new notification number into second BDC to make changes to the newly created notification.
When the second BDC is executed a message immediately displays stating that the notification is locked by user...and the BDC halts...
I am executing the first BDC for IW21 with the following:
CALL TRANSACTION 'IW21' USING bdcdata MODE 'E'.
I'm wondering if it has to do with the mode I'm using ??

Hi, after turning on Voice over and then turning off the i pad 2, I found that it would not turn on again as the locking code which always worked till now, 2121 is not recognised. A voice can be heard when trying to enter the 4 letter code stating the letters
I have tried to repair programme by resetting several times and also downloading i tune software as suggested by your advice centre but the i pad remains locked
Please can you tell me how I can resolve this issue?

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

Usually the SAP Licenses are with respect to named users and their rights to the system....
If you have N licences of various types and M employees accessing SAp ( M > N ) then it will be an issue .. usually for services like ESS - you have a licence called employee user and for more access you have professional licenses etc...
You could check the type of licenses that the company has and the number of licenses of each type and also the Contract signed with SAP as to the licensing policy..

Previous accessed record remains on OAGridBean component

We have a page that uses the OAGridBean component and an issue is raised when the user left the page through the main link, because when using the main link the processFormRequest is not performed and the clearCache() method of the OAGridBean is not executed... In this way, after leaving HGrid page through the main link, when choosing another record and going to the HGrid page again, the previous accessed record remains since the HGrid cache has not been cleaned.
When leaving HGrid page through the return link, which executes the processFormRequest and call the clearCache() method of the OAGridBean the HGrid page works fine.
The method clearCache() can only be called from processFormRequest and we cannot clear the cache in the processRequest.
Any suggestion on this?

Persistance DB lock after browser crash

This is my problem.
I have a web application that runs on OC4J. Occasionally (for I.E. errors) browser crash in the middle of a "select for update" transaction.
So, for exactly 30 minutes, my DB record is locked. After that time resource is available.
I tried to decrease session-timeout (ex. 5 minutes...) in web.xml but that time (30 minutes) doesn't change.
If i restart OC4J the record is immediately available.

One of the following database connection timeout attributes should help:
Wait For Used Connection Timeout (seconds)
Max Active Time for a Used Connection (seconds)
You can configure this values via the OC4J enterprise manager:
Administration -> JDBC Resources
Select you connection pool from the list "Connection Pools" and open the Attributes tab. There you will find the above mentioned timeout attributes.

Try these steps:

Verify mute or speaker have not been activated, just prior to placing your ear over the receiver.
While on a call hold your hand over the top third of the display, and verify that the screen is locked or goes to sleep.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.

I have found special character in some of the employee records which is causing some reports to error out. Our instance is configured for English language and these special characters are unrecognized by the application. I have attached some employee names with the special character below.

first you need to create a database function like the one below.
the query to identify those records is then the below:
select full_name from per_people_x
where is_not_valid_text(full_name) = 'N'
you can use the function also to verify other fields like addresses and so on.
the corrective action according to me should be a manual one, meaning open the form and update the names not compliant.

PAD Mini Locked after iOS upgrade, tried reset on iPAD did not work, plugged in and device not appearing in iTUNEs for reset/restore. Just get an Apple Logo then a flashing blue screen as if it is caught booting up. This has happened twice before and iTunes restore fixed it. But this time device not appearing in iTunes.
Running iTunes for PC. But as stated restore has worked before! Any help greatly appreciated!!

Place the device in DFU mode and let iTunes restore the device to factory condition.
