"error: command failed to execute correctly" on several packages
Last night, when I updated before shutting down, I got a few errors, as in the subject. As it was very late, I thought I'd pick it up today.
Unfortunately, the pacman log only lists one of the ones that failed as libgpg-error. The other one that I remember erroring was gawk. There were a few others, maybe four or five, but I couln't reliably recall them all, so won't guess.
Here's a new attempt to reinstall gawk with --debug. I did the same with libgpg-error and the error occurred at the same place, with very similar output, so I think the issue is the same for all failures.

pacman thinks the upgrade/reinstall was successful in that the latest version is installed.
I did a search on the forums and the only other issue that I thought was connected might be microcode not up to date, but I had followed the update instructions some time back and as far as I can tell, the microcode is up to date.
I have two main questions:
1) How do I work out what's causing the error, from above?
2) Is there a way I can work out which packages gave the error, so I can make sure they're installed properly?
Thanks. The following packages also had problems
( 2/17) upgrading glibc
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 3/17) upgrading binutils
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 4/17) upgrading coreutils
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 8/17) upgrading gcc
error: command failed to execute correctly
( 9/17) upgrading gcc-fortran
error: command failed to execute correctly
(10/17) upgrading gcc-libs
error: command failed to execute correctly
Does anybody have a clue?

I am using windows xp greek with greek regional seetings and when I run a javascript using mailto command (either with utf-8 or iso 8859-7 encoding) , the subject and body of the message which were in Greek do not pass correctly to my email program while in IE pass correctly. Can you help me because many of the users who run the javascript are using mozilla firefox
Hi Nancy, nice to see you again. The CSS validator showed no errors.
The HTML validator showed irrelevant errors, e.g., missing alt tags and also the prefererence for using UTF-8 encoding instead of the older iso-8859-1 used throughout my website (because it displays better in DW 5.5).
The CSS validator link is quite useful, as I don't have a CSS validator in DW 5.5, unless I am missing something. For HTML validation, I can use "Shft-F6". -
E-Recruiting: change reference code entered by error
Hi,
how can I change the reference code entered by error (with function "enter external application") in an application?
There is the Workflow 51800042 (ERCAdjEntry) but I don't know how to trigger it...
Thanks in advance for any help and kind regards
GabrielHi Gabriel,
I have never seen this workflow running in any system and i think there is noone who can tell what it is for.
In general there is no function in the application which allows to change the relations of candidacy and application to requisition / posting / publication. Of course you could change on database but you would have to rewrite all related records in IT5132, 5135-5145, IT1001. There is high risk to mess things up and of course no recruiter can do this by hand.
Possible solutions would be reassigning the candidate to another requisition by and reject the original used one. Only problem would be that the candidate can see the wrong assignment in the application list in his start page.
Other way would be the administrator function to delete / deregister the candidate to get completely rid of the wrong entry and enter the candidate again using the correct reference code.
Best Regards

Action "Pass correction to Test"
Hi Experts !
We have a requirement to do additonal validaton wrt TR import when user selects event "Pass correction to Test" i.e. IMPORT Transport Request.
We want to validate whether user is importing the TR in correct sequence to ensure overtake & over-ride functionality.
Any pointers to this would be highly appreciated !
We tried modifying FM 'TMS_TP_IMPORT' to include custom validation but found that this FM is not called when "Pass correction to Test" event is selected by user.
Requirement in detail :-
User creates Urg. Correcton using CRMD_ORDER & fixes the object ZREPORT_DISPLAY. The change is under TR1. TR1 is released through SolMan but not yet Imported ( Pass correction to test).
Meanwhile another Urg. correction is created using CRMD_ORDER & developer has to fix the same report ZREPORT_DISPLAY. The change now is under TR2. TR2 is released through SolMan. Now developer tries to import the TR2 to Quality system using "Pass correction to test).
In this case since developer is trying to import TR2 before TR1 ( Sequence should be followed as per release date/time. In our case it would be TR1 followed by TR2)., we should throw an error message stating that TR1 is not yet imported !
Thanks,
Best regards,
Prashant

Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly - While running ant.
I have upgraded the JDK 1.5 Update 10 to Update 14. After upgrading the ant is failing when using with cygwin.
It's giving the below error message:
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /cygdrive/c/Java/jdk14/bin/java
The JAVA_HOME is set properly & even I am able to check java -version.
I am using apache-ant-1.6.5 and cygwin.
Have any one faced the same problem?
Please let me know if you have any solutionsGrrrr. Been having a similar problem, but with Maven2. Allow me to (hopefully) save someone the gnawing of teeth and several bald patches.
For starters, the Maven documentation gives you a pretty clear example of how to set your PATH. This is as follows:
export PATH=/usr/whatever/whateveragain/apache-maven-2.0.10/bin:$PATH
Simple, eh? Note the colon before $PATH. Then, it states quite presumptuously "4) Make sure JAVA_HOME is set to the location of your JDK". However, you don't set it in exactly the same way. You set it in virtually the same way, except without the colon, like this:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0$JAVA_HOME
Note that if you get the paths wrong a couple of times, you may reset them with the unset command. So to unset JAVA_HOME you'd use:
unset JAVA_HOME
After which you may set it again. As is advised, you may try to set the user privileges, but they didn't seem to affect my luck at all. Hope this helps! -
Dear Team,
Japanese characters alone are not passing correctly (passing like ??? or some unreadable characters) to Adobe application when we create input variable as XML data type. The same solution works fine if we change input variable data type to document type. Could you please do needful. Thank youHello,

last week i purchased Apple TV but , when i am trying to loging by the apple id is giving me error "your password is not correct" but when i try to login in my Pc is working fine
Thanks for the flag J.K. - they contaced me and solved my problem. On this account (which I created just to ask this question), I log in with my email rather than my user name (mtalldud). On the account that I was having trouble with, they told me to use my user ID instead of my email to log in and it worked. This is a bit confusing and seems a bit inconsistent but at least I don't need this temporary account any more to get into this community and find answers!

Labview error GPIB controller not adressed correctly
I get this Labview error: GPIB controller not adressed correctly (LV5.1, win NT4) when i try to send data to a HP4275A LCR meter. How ever it works on an older system running with LabView 5.0 (also NT)!!!
How can I get rid of this problem????Hi Diego, thanks for the hints!
I tried to configure (GPIB) everything standard.
when I try a 488 command initialze, I get the controller conflict, when i don't do this I get atime out problem either by 488 write-command or by 488.2 send-command.
the differences between the systems where it works and where not are:
working: Win 95, LV 5.0, GPIB-card/TNT (plug & play)
not-working: WinNT, LV 5.1, GPIB-card/PCI
i tried to set baord config to the same parameters...
on the faulti system however I see the instrument with the MAX and I can send commands, without problems !!!!
Also the driver you posted does not work (but the NI-communicate program ;-)
i have no clue what else to do!
btw. how do I copy the spy output when running the program? I may provide
this to find errors.
Since MAX indicates the board is all right I guess it is not necessary to reinstall the boarddrivers?!
