Entitlement Attributes data population in OIA

Hi,
We would like to know how to import Entitlement attributes present in the OIM and target resources into OIA. We assume that when we import the accounts present in the OIM the corresponding entitlement values are populated into the Attributes table, other than that in case there are any new entitlement attributes created on the target resource such as a new AD Group, please let us know how we can have these values into the OIA repository or identity warehouse in a real-time basis, which would enable us to carry on the Provisioning Policy definition process as well on the OIA and export it back to OIM

Thanks for your response. I have already done the steps as mentioned in the post you have provided. After display, the manipulation of data is yet to be done.
But, before that, one problem which I am facing now is that I need to display the list in a container. The list is getting displayed on a screen without the container, but when I am trying to display it in the container, a blank screen comes.

Hi experts,
I'm using the MDMGX to extract the Categories data using the F/M "MDM_COMM_CATEGORIES_EXTR".
data is populated (in debug mode) in all languages but, when the XML file created its showing only English language data. did I left any configurations / parameter values ?
Same with the CategoryAttributes data, using F/M "MDM_COMM_CAT_ATTRIBUTES_EXTR".
Let me know how to extract the Category data & Attribute data in multilingual and also explain the use of SETTYPES in the extraction part.If there is another way to extract data ? Please guide me.

Hi Rupesh,
For given port code define lang dependant field to be extracted under LANG_FIELDS field
e.g. for extracting country related data the entry should be like given below
MDM_PORTCODE = LT_Countries
Table_name = T005T
LANG_FIELDS= SPRAS=langkey,LANDX=Name,NATIO=Nationality
here it will fetch data from T005T table from which spras field will be mapped to langkey, landx will be mapped to Name & Natio to Nationality.
Just check data u entered under 'LANG_FIELDS' .
Refer to standard upload files given by SAP delivered with MDM Business content.

Finding row attribute data in the debugger

Open a Row object in the debugger and you get an incredible tangle of data with non-explanatory names.
What I can't find is that actual attribute data that the Row holds. Is there any kind of general rule for finding it?

I am not sure are you using spring framework or what. if yes you can populate data in command object in referenceData method of simpleformcontroller and that data will be available to the UI.

Export Transient Attribute data to excel sheet (from Advance Table)

I have an advanced table in which its columns mapped with both vo attributes(from database) and transient attributes. If i select 'Export Button' i need to export all data present in the advanced table to excel sheet.. But i am not able to export transient attribute data .. Can anyone help me to solve this problem...

You should be able to export any attribute from the VO, provided they are not hidden fields. Do the values appear on the screen? What is the field type on the advanced table of the attribute you are trying to export?

Hi,
If you run MRP against sale order by tcode MD50, system will generate planned order.
System will generate basic or lead time scheduling depends on MRP run parameter selected in initial screen of MRP run.
If you select lead time scheduling, system will time from routing and thus generate scheduled start date & finish date.
If your requirement date say 10/08/08. Lead time 10 days. So system create scheduled start date on 01/08/08 during MRP run.

Can we maintain attributes, data source and attribute list in web UI level. We can do it in SAP GUI level but do we have the option of doing it on web UI level??

hey main thing is that when we design all the things our out put is reflected in both interface & most important thing is that 90% of our customization done in gui.only web_ui related customization done in web_ui.

Attribute data load fails for 0RPA_MARM Infoobject

Hi BW experts,
Attribute data load to the infoobject 0RPA_MARM(not a infoprovider) is on yellow status for long time and after it is throwing the below error
Runtime Errors :UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Except : CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE
I checked the forums for this issue but got the solution for target as infoprovider.
Please suggest.

Hi Leo,
Basically loading data into Master data Infoobject and making it InfoProvider are two different things. Loading data in Master data infoobject will be same for all the Infoobjects and when you make them as Infoprovider you will get an advantage of doing reporting directly on top of that Infoobject.

hi bw experts,
I have one requirements like i need to enhance the filed to the zcost infoobject with PROFIT_CTR as navigation attribute. then i have to upload the attribute data from 0COSTCENTER .
for that i nedd to create the processchains (daily?weekly?)
all the above things tobe done on BI7.0.
please any body tell the step by step procedure.
pls give the step by stpe procedure for loading data in BI7.0.
what i meant to say infosource,datsource,dtp,transfermation etc.

Hi Amith,
Below are the basic steps which we follow in any BI 2004S system:
1)Create datasource. Here u can set/check the Soucre System fields.
2)Create Transformation for that datasource. (no more update rules/transfer rules)
2.1) While creating transformation for DS it will ask you for data target name, so just assign where u want to update ur data.
DataSource -> Transformation -> Data Target
Now if you want to load data into data target from Source System Datasource:
1) Create infopackage for that data source. If you are creating infopackage for new datasources, it will only allow you update upto PSA, all other options u can see as disabled.
2)Now Create DTP (Data Transfer Process) for that data source.
3) NOw schdule the Infopackage, once the data is loaded to PSA, you can execute your DTP which will load data to data target.
If you are loading data from one one data target to other, no need to use PSA, you can directly execute DTP in that case.
Data Source -> Transformation (IP/DTP) -> Data Target1 -> DTP ->Data Target 2

Core data: Versioned model migration with change in existing attribute data types.

I want to upgrade my ios app with app store version with enhancement of new functionality related to core data features in the app.
-In new upgarde version, I want to change data types of attribute which is already present in core data model of existing app store version.
e.g.In Version 1.0 ,Attribute "date" datatype is "NSDate", New change required to change datatype "NSDate" to "NSString" with new version model.
I followed Lightwaight migration, but as per documentation , Lightwaigh migration not support for change data type of any existing attribute/entity of core data model.
Please suggest optimized solution for migration of database along with change in data type of exsiting attribute of the entity in core data.
If required in further info ,please ask.

More Info: The two entries are actually pointing to the same object. If I save the context and restart, I only have one entry (I can also see this by looking at the XML store).
It seems that the NSTableView is getting messed up somehow after the FetchRequest. Still stumped.

Decision to store attribute data in IDM

What's the deciding criteria to have attributes in IDM. If I have 40 attributes to be flown from one system to another system and then again to multiple systems. I have to use the same attributes flowing to various systems. In this case if I don't store this data in iDM then everytime I have to make connection to source and pull this data to flow to other systems. Won't this impact performance.
What is the deciding factor on whether to keep the specific attribute data in IDM or not ? Where will it impact performance? and what are the best practises to store IDM data?

the rule of thumb is to store as few as possible. The basic architecture of the product is to create a virtual directory of user information. Products like microsoft's MIIS store all data in a metaview, which essentially duplicates all data both on the native system as well as on the MIIS database.
With each attribute you add, you move more towards the meta view concept.
I agree with the comments above regarding deciding criteria on why you would want to keep a value on IDM. Other criteria to keep in mind are:
1) Are you getting this value from a resource on which you manage accounts, or is it simply used as a feed? If its simply a feed, does a spot exist for this value to be stored on a native system? If yes, who has accounts on that system. In other words, how important is the value to everyone?
2) do you need idm to search on it.
3) how often does IDM need to use this attribute. if you used it for tasks and other things quite often you most likely will not want to get a user view each time to retrieve the value. Thus, you are best off storing it locally.
4)Rule of thumb...if you think its best being stored in IDM....then i probably is. (I have at most stored 8-10 values in IDM in all of the 10 implmentations I've done of this product)

Simple basic question on attribute data load for Master Data InfoObject....

I am a bit confused & wanted to have some clarification on the following:
1) For loading Attributes data to Master Data InfoObject, we load it through Data Source of Type Master Data Attribute.
But what i did, i created Data Source of type Transaction data and using the same Excel file, i was able to create transformation with Matser data Attribute and was able to load the data.
This shows i can use Data source of type either master data attribute OR Transaction Data doen't matter while loading into master data attribute. IS THIS TRUE?
2) I have 2 master data infoobjects (Test1 & Test2). I made Test2 as an attribute in Test1.
My question is while loading Master data for Test1, will it also load the data into Test2 if it doen't find respective data in Test2?
(i did all the transformation as per need.)

1. Did you make a transformation between attribute data source from source system other than flat file and DSO?...
I think PC File is flexible in this aspect..
2.While loading Test1 the infoobject Test2 will get loaded only if it is a navigational ttribute..(You can see this by refering the SID Table)
Please also note that it does not load Test2 attributes.

MD Attribute Data Loading Issue.

I am trying to load a Master data Attribute and it is giving a peculiar error msg:[Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Selected number does not agree with transferred n].
The data source is a business Content data source (0CACONT_ACC_ATTR)
Recently I made a few changes to the data source we added a few more fields. The load was successful in the Development system. But is giving an error in BWQ. I followed the steps of correctly transporting the data source first and then replicating the data source in BW and then transporting the new objects tansfer rules and communication structure etc. Could anyone help me with this issue.

This only a Master data Attribute Data Source. I checked the Data source and Info Source and Info Package mapping is okay.
The Details Tab of the MOnitor shows this under the option: Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages or warnings
Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Selected number does not agree with transferred n
When I check SM21. This is the error msg I get.
