EP 6.0 SP2 Filter development ..

Hi,
I am trying to develop class implementing interface Filter, deploy and use it in EP.
I have created jar file, deployed it to the portal using telnet interface by commands :
changelib -d myLib myLib.jar
changeref -m library:myLib library:servlet
and added these lines to j2ee\j2ee_00\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\WEB-INF\web.xml
<filter>
     <filter-name>MyFilter</filter-name>
     <filter-class>com.myCompany.filter.MyFilter</filter-class>
     <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>

after trying to start default application I am receiving message Internal Server Error 500! Application stopped!
What's wrong?
When I reverse the web.xml file, everything works fine - except for filter of course.

you got this to work? I`ll try to setup a filter before the auhtentication process, but after restarting the J2EE Engine my web.xml is replaced with the origin one. FYI im using EP6 SP11 on J2EE 6.40.

Filter development work

Ok...
I've gone round and round trying to find someone that has Photoshop development skills and haven't found anyone. That's why I'm here.
I've got a project that I'm willing to pay someone to work on. I just need help finding someone that has the skills.
The project:
Create a plug-in based on some Photoshop actions.
The filter would work in PSE 5.0 - Mac & PC

To create the equivalent of a Graduated filter with the effect starting at the center you can drag the radial filter endpoint to stretch it off-screen. Use the hand tool to push the radial filter off-screen and then drag the endpoint out further. You may need to do this a few times. You can also use two Graduated filters back to back, which gives you the ability to apply a centered Exposure correction and adjustments for Highlights and Shadows correction that are different on each side.

How to develope a KM filter with EP 7.31

Dear all,
I have following questions regarding KM filters on an EP 7.31:
1.)Where the NWDS assistant for this purpose is gone on 7.31? Compare to NWDS 7.0:
2.)Are there any changes in the structure changes in the package between 7 and 7.31? Is this documented somewhere? Are there any tutorials or anything else about that? I found nothing about KM filter development excepting information on configuration, are own filter developments not longer supported on 7.31?

SQL Developer Migration Workbench - Migrate only one Database?

Hallo!
We want to use Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench Early Adopter for migrate some Databases from SQL 2000 to Oracle 10g R2 (on XP SP2 SQL Developer 1.1.2.25.79).
The first Database we can migrate to Oracle. The Loader files in OMW are better!
On next day the menu capture schema was not reachable ( gray) . What can we do?

Develop presets: "Unavailable Preset"

When I enable the library filter Develop Presets I see three instances of "Unavailable Preset" with counts of 1, 23, and 323. In detail these are
(1) no presets at all, just a Clarity adjust. Click on import, then back on the Clarity --> applies correctly. Then when I refer back to the Develop Presets filter the count has changed from one to zero.
(23) these images all reference a long-used and active preset that is just Clarity + Vibrance. Clicking on the image history shows that the final image is correct, and the before/after preset results are correct. But after cross-checking several images this way the count has now been reduced from 23 to xxxxxxxxxx
(323) these images all reference a preset created today that I accidentally mis-applied to those images. (I'll refer to the mis-applied preset as GOOFY -- more on this below). Sampling some of these 323 images I see that the GOOFY preset is correctly applied. When I click on the previous history step, then GOOFY the "Unavailable Preset" count is decremented and a new "Custom" preset is incremented. I have never seen "Custom" preset before today.
Now, the story of the GOOFY preset. When I could find nothing in the documentation, forum or web, I decided to try disabling the unwanted preset by these steps at the Mac OS Finder level:
- duplicate GOOFY to GOOFY-2
- delete GOOFY file (I hoped LR3 would remove the references to the deleted GOOFY)
- in grid view mass-apply GOOFY-2 to the correct images
- quit, restart LR3
I've forgotten exactly what happened next, but for sure LR3 did not remove the non-existant preset links. For some reason I decided to rename the duplicated GOOFY-2 back to GOOFY. Now the images that correctly referenced GOOFY have two references to presets named GOOFY the oldest one is a NO-OP (does nothing), the latest one works as expected.
Any advice would be appreciated:
** how to mass-delete an unwanted preset reference from a selection of images?
** how to clean up the above "Unavailable Preset" errors?

When a preset is created, it stores the current level of the chosen parameters at the time of creation; in the example below, the preset which will be named CurrentPreset1 will store the current levels applied to the selected photo at the time the preset was created, and in this case will only store values corresponding to Color, Lens Corrections, and Process version.
To update the values recorded in a preset, the various levels must be changed on the currently selected photo and then the "Update with current settings" must be selected on the preset to update. The "Update with current settings" therefore updates the preset itself with new values corresponding to the values set in the current photo and has nothing to do with how it was applied to photos in the past. A preset is not related in any way to photos on which it is applied; a preset simply applies the set values recorded in the preset on the selected photo as if these same values would be manually entered for the selected photo.

Some minor issues while using SQL developer

1. While exporting report it did not set destination path even though I choose path using
browse button.
2. When I saw table data it did not show some data in one column (datatype: number(10)).
When I clicked cell it showed me data.

My copy of sqldeveloper isn't located in that directory. Would that matter?
In the mean time I have disabled filtering the tables node. Opening the tables node doesn't result in exceptions anymore.
Now, when I click on any table in that node I get 4 identical ora-904 error messages for sys.o.name for any table.
Apparently it is querying either the all_objects view and it thinks it is querying sys.obj$.
I didn't yet enable sql_trace for the session, I'm more or less giving up on sqldeveloper. I can not use the space bar in any datagrid, sqldeveloper has always been extreemly unresponsive when navigating the schema browser (as opposed to Toad), etc, etc. Too bad I bought Sue Harpers book, but I think I will be de-installing sqldeveloper soon.

I have configured a DSN with the name "fadd" on the machine with the application server and it used NT authentication. I have supplied an NT userid and password that has appropriate rights on the database "cashbook".
When I write a java standalone program, it does connect but via a servlet it does not connect.
Can some guide me with this problem please ?
Anything one might have observed in the past ? (may be specific to iPlanet ?)

I'm using iPlanet App server as well and experiencing similar problem. I load my SQL Server driver by Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver"), then use DriverManager.getDriver() to obtain the Driver.
However, the Driver returned is not the SQLServerDriver as expected. The Driver returned is com.netscape.server.jdbc.Driver! And then when I do Driver.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://MyServer"), it throws an SQLException saying that it doesn't accept a jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver subprotocol. Well, of course it doesn't, it's not a microsoft Driver at all.
I suspect the problem is that the netscape Driver's acceptsURL() method ALWAYS returns true in iPlanet app server, thus when you getDriver(), the netscape Driver is always returned (and always returned as the first one since it's default?). Thus even though the same piece of code works fine as a standalone application, it just doesn't work on iPlanet app server.
My work around is:

Mind that my above code does not have an performance issue. If you look into the source code of how DriverManager get a Driver for a particular URL, it also loads the whole set of available Drivers, then call acceptsURL() method on each of them to find the first "suitable" one. Thus time complexity is the same.
I know this is not a very elegant solution and it defeats the purpose of having a DriverManager. Does any one else has a better way to solve this problem, like a way to specify the priority of each Driver so that SQLServerDriver is returned before the netscape Driver?

There's a known bug in the code that captures 4.1 MySQL databases (specifically). The fix has been applied, and will be available in our next release.
for a temporary workaround, you can put your data into a MySQL 4.0 or 5.0 database.

Settings are not migrated in 1.2.1.32.13

I've been trying to migrate the settings from 1.2.1.3200 to 1.1.2.32.13 but not all of them are migrating.
connections are not migrating, although SQL Formatter and preferences are. H`ave anyone experienced anything like this??
Export/Import did work.

The problem seems to be between 3200 and 3213, I have migrated settings from 2998 to 3213 successfully.

JDeveloper and Team System Extension not working

I am using JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.1) and latest VSTS extension. The Team System extension does not work.
Here are what I have done:
1) Install JDev, JDev team system extension, TFS team explorer.
2) Workspace created in Team Explorer.
3) JDev Versioning control set for Team system. Select workspace, refresh it.
4) Create a new application/project under team explorer workspace. In Application explorer, The application and project showed up with a "X" mark - not in source control.
5) Add the application/project into source control. Succeeded.
6) But - the application and project still show up with "X" mark. Trying to add again, JDev pop up error message: "file already exists in source control". Files still show up in pending changes window.
I am using windows XP SP2 for development.
Any ideas? Please, this is urgent.

I am betting you are running 4.3? I just upgraded my GS3 to 4.3 and now I can't get the GMail smart extension to work. Previously, I was able to on the same phone (but running 4.1.2) but couldn't use WatchIt. Now I can use WatchIt, but can't use Gmail. How frustrating!!

Trouble compiling a library

Hi folks, I'm experiencing a trouble using forms & reports on two different platforms: Win XP Prof. SP2 for development and SuSe Ent. 9 Linux for deployment.
I've inherited from another person an application with some forms, some reports and two libraries (one attached to the forms annd the other attacched to the reports).
I've modified a function in the library attacched to the reports. It compiles ok on XP.
Moved the library (.pll file) to Suse I tried to compile with:

Report can't be saved and exported in 64bit Windows server

I'm using CR.NET runtime 12 SP2 and developed in Visual Studio 2008 (.NET 3.5)
My application is generate report from blank report file and export to PDF file as web response.
my code is working good in my 32bit Windows 2003 OS, but it is not working in 64bit server env even though I made my code as 32bit COM+ component. (I set x86 as compile constants and made as COM+ component. So, code will run in 32bit process)
error message is like this.

error message said error occurred in ReportDocument.SaveAs method. but what i want was actually export to PDF using export methods. but same error occurred. So, i tried to save report temporarily and print to PDF. but failed again. what else i can do? exporting to PDF is not possible in 64bit server even code run in 32bit COM+ process?

I followed all instructions.
I compiled as X86 and made classic app pool as 32bit IIS application.
So, w3wp.exe is now running ilike this "w3wp.exe*32"
but same error happend again.
