Epad-ink Problems

Hi.
Just bouth 4  EPAD-ink  machines.  This is my 4th time purchasing Electronic Signature Devices for our company in the past 2 months.
I am new with this entire electronic signature thing.. / I've sent back quite a few Epad Devices these past 2 months because I can't seem to get them to function, other than Lighting-up after plugged in to a USB port.
Our company does service work from our vans , and we'd like to have our PDF documents signed with  these new electronic machines.
I Simply Cannot get these things to work  when I click SIGN on a typical Adobe file. / These EPADink  devices Only Lightup when they are first plugged-in.
Basically, I'm Ready to send back All 4 of these EPAD-ink devices, because I cannot seem to make them work. /  I've downloaded ALL the recommended software from EPADink website./ But Only the Test Function Works, Lights-Up, then Shuts-Off ..
Our laptops are Windows 7 Starter, 32 BIT Atom Processors.
Anyone have any ideas how these EPADink  actually work?  or.. what else might I need to Make these work ?  More software?  Plugins.?  I'm Outta Ideas.

My printer is showing there is an ink problem or printhead is missing or not detected. I've replaced the ink cartridges.

Hello @Mdguz and welcome to the HP Forums!
I can see you're experiencing ink system issues.  I would like to try and help.
I would recommend removing the ink cartridges from the printer, and performing a power reset.   Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
Another suggestion would be to plug the printer power into a different wall outlet.
I would recommend updating your firmware as well:
HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Firmware
I would then suggest utilizing this document on A 'Missing or Failed Printhead' Error Message Displays on the Printer or on the Computer.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Instant ink problem cannot print

Instant Ink Problem cannot print is the error I'm getting with my officejet 4630. It was working fine until now. I have enrolled in the instant ink program. My problem now is somehow my printer is not showing up on my account. it tells me to add a device. Fine, but when I try to add it wants a claim code which I have already used so there is no claim code to print. I couldn't print it anyways for the error " instant ink problem cannot print shows up. How do I add a device now???

    Hi Gertiee,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I see that you are unable to print using your HP printer.
Try removing and re-enabling Web Services from your printer’s control panel. Check your printer’s control panel for the Setup or Web icon, and then follow the appropriate instructions to enable Web Services. The steps to remove/enable Web Services vary by HP printer model. For your model:
HP Officejet Removing Web Services:  Use Setup > Web Services Setup > Restore Factory Settings to remove Web Services from the printer.
Then re-enable web services on your printer.  If the web services info sheet does not automatically print within a few minutes of re-enabling web services, web services has not been fully enabled on your printer.   You may need to wait and remove and re-enable web services again in few hours to allow the issues affecting your printer’s communication with the cloud servers to clear up.  Until a web services info sheet prints out your web services registration is not complete.   Complete the steps below while your printer is connected to the Internet.
    Officejet Enable Web Services:
On the printer control panel, touch the Apps icon, touchYes to enable Web Services, touch Yes to Accept Terms of Service, and then touch Yes again for automatic firmware updates. An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
On the printer control panel, press theePrint  button or icon to open the Web Services
Either select Yes to enable Web Services, select Yes again for automatic updates, and then press the ePrint button again. Or, select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
On the printer control panel, touchSetup, and then touch Web Services.
Select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
If it continues to not print, see the Web Services connectivity troubleshooting here.

  • HP Officejet 7680 print issue alignment/ black ink problem

My printer is playing up again - this time it keeps trying to align, and fails (according to the readout on the screen) .
The black ink is also not working at all (trying new cartridge).  I suspect the two issues are connected? When I tried to print the Print Quality test page (as described here: Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues ) nothing involving the blank ink is printed at all, though the colours are all fine.)
Is it time for a new print head? Or what? I have tried my reset tricks described here on the forums from before  as well as the hard resets of #6 and #9 that I found on the forums elsewhere, to no avail this time. I am just leery of spending all that money which would need to be borrowed, if its not likely to be a dying print head..

Hi there HHjr, Welcome to the forums!
I am so sorry to hear about the problem you are running into with your 6500 Wireless not printing in black ink. Although it seems like you have tried all of the troubleshooting, please review the guide below just to make sure you've attempted all of the steps.

  • Black Ink problems.... again....

I'm going to be a lazy turd here and just put my problem up rather than investigate the 21 pages of dialogue that might contain the answer. So my hp 7515 grays out when I try to print in black. It will print fine the first half of a page, and by the end of the page it is almost blank. All my test pages print fine, frustratingly enough. The 'clean' and 'alignment' pages are both clandestine. Obviously, my printer can print in black. Why not when I want to print something for myself? The only thing I can think of, is that there are 2 black cartridges in my printer. One is a standard, and one is an XL. I assumed that with a completely full XL cartridge I should be able to print, as there is black ink there. Am I a moron for thinking I could get away with buying just the XL and have an empty standard in my printer? If that is the case, then what is point of even having the XL in the printer, when you can't even use it?

Hello , Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are not able to print in black ink on your HP Photosmart 7515, when you print a Test page the black prints on it. I believe it may be a problem with the black ink, and you see black ink on the test pages because it is producing a composite black, pulling from the color cartridges to produce black. I would like you to start troubleshooting here: Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer Series If you complete all of the steps in the document above and the issue continues, my own personal recommendation, not one of HPs, is to use the solution offered in the following video.  I only suggest doing this if the printer is out of warranty; How to fix a HP Printer, not printing black ink and missing colours  Although the printer might be out of warranty, if the issue persists, HP may be able to offer you something. • Black Ink problem

I have a HP Photosmart 5520 that has stopped printing in black. Having replaced the ink cartridge with a genuine HP cartridge it still refuses to print in black. I have done upteen clean printheadts to ne effect. When I print out my Print diagnostics page, this prints in black, but the colour block for the black is plain, with no colour at all.
I feel this must be an ongoning problem for HP as I returned my last Photosmart for the same reason.

  • Epson 3880 - Change Black Ink Problem

I realize that this is not an Epson or Adobe forum, but I'm hoping someone here can help:
I just purchased an Epson 3880 and hooked it up via USB to my 27" iMac that runs OSX Lion. When first powered up, the printer defaulted to the Photo Black ink. I made a couple test prints from Photoshop Elements 6 (PE6) on a sheet of supplied Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. No problems there. But now I want to get serious and print images on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper. PE6 refuses to let me select anything other than paper that the Photo Black ink works on. The Printer Settings dialog box shows that the Photo Black cartridge is the active one.
So, I got on the 3880's LCD panel and manually made the change to the Matte Black ink. No joy - same problem. AND, PE6 does not realize that I've changed the active ink cartridge - it still thinks I have the Photo Black ink cart active. I thought that maybe it was because I have an "old" version of PE, so I whipped out my credit card and upgraded to PE10. No joy again - same problem. Arrrghhhhhh.....
I have NOT powered the 3880 off and on again, as I understand this causes some serious ink consumption.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the system to recognize that I've swapped over to the Matte Black?

OMG, OMG - I figured it out....! They could not have made this any more difficult to uncover. It is in the - are you ready for this...? The PAPER SIZE dropdown box. Mine had 8-1/2 x 11 selected, as I wanted. But wait, there is more than one 8-1/2 x 11. If one selects 8-1/2 x 11 with Rear Feed, it all works as it should. You have got to be freaking kidding me!?!?!?!!! Who would have thunk to look there? Cripes!!!!!
Anyway, I'm all set so burn up some paper and ink - thanks PAHU and Shootist007 for your suggestions.
    Ughhhhh.....

  • [solved] printer ink level - inkblot/ink problem

    hi to all
i want to my printer ink level
because cups isn't able to show me (at least for my printer), i need "external" tools.
i've found an interesting program and related libraries: inkblot is the gui which is based on other program and lib; inkblot is in AUR so we can easily install it.
the problem is that inkblot or ink can't find my printer !!!
how can i fix it ?
    thanks

The problem is that cups doesn't use usblp anymore, actually in many cases you have to blaklist usblp to get your printer work. However ink package relies on usblp, so you have to install cups-usblp from AUR instead of cups from [extra].

  • Black ink problems

Using Officejet H470 mobile printer, black ink ran out, changed cartridge with NEW HP cartridge and now text looks almost gray....the first print black text was noticalbly lighter, then with each new print it got lighter and lighter looking like light gray

  • Brand new officejet 4630 with black ink problem and ok button doesnt work

Hi! I bought a new printer today, officejet 4630 and it included toner cartridges in the box. Iset it up like the sheet in the box said. After I had filled in date etc, I put in the ink ( and yes, remembered to check that it was compatible and take of the tape) Then this message showed in the display and still does:  "Ink cartridge(s) problem. The following ink cartridges must be replaced" and a black dot.  The cartridges were brand new and came in the same box as the printer. I have tried a reset ( taking out the cord for power supply, wait 60 sec etc) I also saw in Hp support you were to press "ok" to get rid of the message before restart. I can't press ok. It just beeps. No matter what button I press.   Suggestions? Of course I can try with a new cartridge, but to paying $20 for a new cartridge when it was included in the box and should work is not ok.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that you ar getting the error, "Ink cartridge(s) problem. The following ink cartridges must be replaced" with your black ink cartridge on your HP Officejet 4630 printer. I am happy to look into this cartridge error for you!  Please, try the steps within this guide, A 'Cartridge Missing,' 'Cartridge Problem,' or 'Incompatible Ink Cartridges' Error Message Displays for HP Officejet 4630 and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-All-in-One Printer Series. If this guide does not resolve your issue, please contact HP, phone support for further assistance, as the ink cartridge(s) are under warranty. • Insta ink problems

I installed my insta ink black cartridge several weeks ago.  My account shows that I haven't printed any pages (not true).  I am busy during the week.  I would really like to get assistance via email, rather than wait around to have some one call me or to try and rearrange my schedule.
does anyone know how I can contact support via email?  I tried the chat feature but they said they couldn't help me.

Hi.  We currently don't have email available for support for Instant Ink.  If you have the chat ticket number I'd like to follow up and find out why they couldn't help you.
When I look up your account it shows that you are enrolled but you have not installed the Instant Ink cartridges yet.  Can you please double check that you have installed a cartridge with a label that says "Instant Ink 61/301",  it would have come about 10 days after you enrolled, in a Welcome Kit (not the pen from the printer box).  You can find a visual of what the ink cartridge looks like in this video:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Instant-Ink-series/5264756/model/5401249/document/c03767639/
If you DO NOT have the instant ink cartridge installed then your account page will not track pages printed.  Just use up the ink you have and then put the Instant Ink cartridges in when you run out.  (These will be in a Welcome Kit sent to you)
If you DO have the Instant Ink cartridge installed then go to your your Instant Ink account page (which it sounds like you know how to do) and ensure your printer shows online and under the "status section" hit the refresh button until the printer refreshes to the current date and time.  It may take a couple times to get it current.
If neither of these work then there may be an issue with the cartridge and you would need to either chat or call our Customer Support at 855-785-2777.  Either one will be able to help you.  Please let me know if this solved your problem or you need more assistance.
    Thanks,

  • HP Officejet 6500 Wireless-Black Ink Problem

I have had my printer for years & it works really very well until yesterday.  I ran out of black ink, had some x-brand refill & tried that & got a message "cartridge damaged or out of ink" put another cartridge in, got the same message.  Went out & bought an HP cartridge.  Don't get the messages anymore-it just won't print black.  I have repeatedly cleaned the heads & only after I do the second cleaning it will print one page, but then the next page is only there halfway, then blank.  What gives???  I am very frustrated.  Thanks for help

I bought HP black ink for my 8600 Officejet Pro . It still is telling me to replace depleted cartridges and will not print.
