Equipment structures are sometimes used in PM and CS to defined groups of equipment especially if we need to track indivdual items.
Example 1:  a computer could be created as an equipment structure:
Procecessor
- Keyboard
- Screen(s)
- Mouse
Example 2:  a vehicle may be created as an equipment structure:
Car
- Engine
- Gearbox
- Engine management computer

  • Do i have the right equipment for CCNA-Wireless?

Hello community i am Adan Ramirez, an aspiring Cisco Tech, and I'm trying to get the right equipment for the ccna wireless.
    Here is my shopping list:
    1. 2 Cisco LWAP 1252
    3. NME-WLC6-K9 module card
Here is what i already have at home:
    1. 1841(2x) - iOS 12.4(24)
    2. 2811(2x) - iOS 15.something something...
    3. 3560 - iOS 15.something something
    4. 2960 - iOS 15.something something
Problem:  I don't know if the NME needs the latest iOS, the one i saw on eBay says it's version 4.2 something something.  I don't have three thousand dollars to buy a brand new module with iOS 7.0 or $ 12,000 to buy a 5500 WLC.  I'm a broke college student T_T, help!
    and thanks!

    Hi,
This is sufficient for your CCNA wireless studies. Probably I would add a VM which can run WCS.
If you really need a WLC, you can buy 4400 series controller (can run upto 7.0.x) for ~200-300 USD. This is the version tested in CCIEv2.0 lab exam as well.
This is the Cisco forum you should follow for this CCNA-Wireless studies

  • I want to exchange all my equipment for the newest model available.

I've been a steady customer since Feb. 2008. I want to exchange all of my equipment for the latest model available. How do I go about that?

It's my understanding that I'm a grandfathered "original" customer, whatever that means. My answers might be different from what you'll get.
If you have Motorola 1200, 1215 (DVR) or 1225 (DVR) boxes, I agree. These boxes are obsolete and slow. They'll still get updates, but it's like trying to run Windows 8.1 on something that was purchased with Windows XP on it... it may work, but it'll take a long time to do a very simple task. A few years ago, when the update was pushed out to AT&T boxes that introduced the spinning circle in the lower right corner and "poster view" for movies, those boxes I mentioned basically started running very slowly.
It's my understanding those boxes are obsolete and are being junked when they're returned to AT&T.
AT&T has two types of modern non-DVR boxes... wireless and wired. I had a tech come out and he was able to waive the $49 fee to get one wireless box. If you call AT&T and let them know your boxes "broke" because of an update they pushed out, and if you're nice and polite, you should be able to get them to waive the $49 fee... actually, you may have to pay it, but your next bill will get a $49 credit...that's what they did in my case.
I don't think that was 100% free as my taxes and fees were *a bit* higher on one bill and I don't know if they were that much lower on the next bill...but whatever.
When I added a second wireless box, I had it shipped via UPS and installed it myself. I was able to get them to credit the $49 fee off the next bill. Once again, I paid $49 on one bill and my next bill had the $49 credit.
Now...if you want the newer wired boxes, there shouldn't be any sort of fee. Like I said before, it was AT&T that pushed out newer software. IMO, a customer shouldn't pay when AT&T's update "breaks" a customer's equipment.
As for the DVR, yes, you will lose recordings. What you *can* do is either buy a Slingbox and put the DVR and Slingbox by theirselves or just put the DVR on a TV you don't watch a whole lot.
My silver remotes still work absolutely fine. If you want a newer "basic" remote, keep in mind that some buttons have changed. Those should be free, at least they are when mine stop working and I know for a fact they have new batteries.

  • Sending Gauges / Equipment for Calibration

I want to send the Gauges / Equipment for Calibration to Outside party (Vendor). Would you please tell me how to map this process in SAP.
    The process is:
    1. Gauges / Equipments are sent for Calibration to vendor.
    2. Vendor Calibrates and those are verified for the usage.
Your valuable inputs will be helpful, points will be awarded accordingly.
    Thnkx and Regards,
    Rashmi

    hi rashmi
while planning the calibration order , create  a task list with a control key for external operation, and maintain the requiured outline agreement or services.while scheduling a PR will be generated then you can process further. you can also look in to the web site for better understanding "http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/fe/67fbcc9d6f11d189b60000e829fbbd/frameset.htm"

  • Produce equipment for internal use (cost center)

    Hi,
We are a high tech company selling and producing configurable equipment.
Sometimes our marketing department orders such an equipment for demo reasons. After this demo the equipment must be returned to be disassembled or returned into stock until it is needed in another demo or by our engineering department. In other words we would like to produce equipment and have them in stock until a cost center needs it.  We think we have some solutions to counter this problem :
    - using a dummy customer in SD (--> our finance department is not in favour of this). If the equipment returns we can make a return and put it into stock.
    - create an independent requirement using transaction MD81. If a cost center needs it we do a goods issue (more difficult to keep track on things)
    -create a planned order
Are there other solutions ? If not which one do you prefer and why ?
Also these equiments sometimes needs to be repaired or modified. We use the module CS (customer service) to do repairs for customers but in this case we are our own customer. The idea of using a dummy customer is not preferred by our finance department. Can we use the module PM (plant maintenance) for this ?
    Thanks for the help.
    with regards
    Erik

as per QM they are running the scheduling for calibration so system automatically creating one purchase requisition .
so then how to send that equipment through MM .

    Hi,
Generally, Repair of Materials are handled via concept of Gate Pass (Returnable & Non-Returnable). But, SAP doesn't provide any option for creating Gate Pass (Returnable & Non-Returnable) in standard.
    Try the below suggested procedure as a work around process;
Repair Process via Returnable Gate Pass: -
    1. MM01 - Create Material Master for every Spare Part / Machinery to be sent to Vendor for Repair as Non-Valuated (Material Type "UNBW") (Do not extend Accounting and Costing views since you don't require postings of Stock value and consumption values, you only want to track the Service/Repair Charges)
It's not necessary to have materials as Non-Valuated always, it depends on your requirement.
    2. MIGO - Goods Receipt > Others (Receive the quantities of these materials using Movement Type 501 / 511) - Only if Stock of Material is not available.
    3. ME21N - Create Subcontracting PO (Here Main Material and Component will be same material)
    4. MB1B - Transfer Posting w.r.t. Subcon PO (Mvmt Type - 541, Spare Part stock will get posted to Vendor Stock)
    5. MB90 - Take Print out of this Material Doc as Returnable Gate Pass (U need to configure Message Determination of Inventory Mgmt)
    6. MIGO - GR against Subcon PO (101 - Receive Spare Part, 543 O - Consumption of Spare Part form Vendor Stock)
    7. MIRO - LIV for Service Charges w.r.t. Subcon PO
Note: - If PM Module is implemented then use PM Order as origin of the Repair Process. If it is not then follow the above process.
Else if you don't want to track the material stock then follow the Service Process Cycle
    1. ME21N - Create Service PO (With Item Category D and Account Assignment Category K )
    2. ML81N - Create Service Entry Sheet w.r.t. Service PO
    3. MIRO - LIV for Service Charges w.r.t. Service PO or Service Entry Sheet

  • Equipment for legal videography?

Need advice on equipment for legal videography. A camera that shoots HD and records onto an SD card has been recommended. I'll also need DVR recorder (I believe) and mics.
Anyone with experience in this field have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Terry D

What is legally required for depositions can vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but the basics are:
Wireless lav mics: Have at least 4 or 5 systems available. One for the witness and one for each attorney. There will be times that a third (or fourth) attorney will be present so it helps to have extras.
Audio mixer: With that many mics, you'll need an outboard audio mixer. The output from the mixer then goes to the camera. I also recommend using a compressor/limiter.
Headphones: Use good quality headphones for monitoring the audio you're recording.
DVD recorder: In most instances, the deposition will be shown with absolutely no editing - even when objections are raised during the deposition. And many judges won't allow an edited copy to even be presented in open court. So you'll need to have an "original" recording available. Note that even today, some courts still only have VHS players so ask before each deposition what their needed delivery method will be. If it is VHS, have a VHS VCR ready to go.
Tripod: A good, steady tripod is a must!
Camera: I'd recommend a tape-based camera so the other original recording (other than the DVD or VHS) can be easily archived. Some cases can drag on for months (or even years) so you really need to have an original recording available - sometimes (but not often) a certified, unedited copy will suffice. Of course, sometimes the judge will allow certain parts of a deposition to be edited, especially when an attorney makes an objection. Since the case may not go to court for months, keeping the needed SD cards would be costly - on the other hand, tape is cheap.
The camera must also have the ability to record date/time in the recording - not just as metadata. Check the jurisdiction in which you'll be working to see if they have other legal requirements. And even though you may be recording the deposition locally, the actual trial may be held in another state. So you'll need to know the specific legal requirements for the jurisdiction where the trial is being held - not necessarily where the deposition takes place.
I highly recommend that if the client that hires you is representing the plaintiff, get your money up front. Plaintiff's attorneys are notorious for not wanting to pay until the case is settled or heard. They often don't get paid unless they win, so there's a darned good chance they won't want to pay you until they get paid. And as I said above, that could be months or years away.
The reasoning behind recording two originals at the same time is that when the deposition is over, you can hand one (the DVD or VHS) to the attorney that is paying you. You keep the other in the event that editing is needed or certified copies are requested by opposing council.

I need to convert the finished product (produced in our toolroom) to PRT and maintain them as equipment. By this the maintenance cost can be easily captured for these equipment PRT.
It will be helpful if anyone can guide me for step by step prcedure.

My client need order for equipment which to be taken externally for repair. He needs goods movement of that equipment.Since it is a equipment,I cannot do movement. How to handle this scenario, please help.
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    hi
In standard if you want to service externally is create a order with external service control key ,whcih generates the PR .Convert the same in to PO and do the service entry sheet
In standard you cannot able to trace the equipment ,ie it is not possinble to send outside with reference to the equipment

  • Best equipment for recording lectures to publish as podcasts for class?

I am in an Anatomy class this fall (pre-nursing) and several of the students have expressed the need to record the lectures for studying later. I'd like to record them in a way that will work with my Mac, as the cheapy recorders you can pick up at say, WalMart, don't seem to work well with Mac's. Ideally, they would be recorded in a fashion that they could easily be published as podcasts for the other students to download.
    So where should I start?
    Thanks!

Does your classroom have AV equipment already in place? You might be able to leverage that. I was teaching in a large lecture theatre last Fall and I had to wear a wireless FM lapel mic which was connected to the classroom console and the classroom speakers. The technicians that set-up the classroom had an audio cable with a mini-jack that I could plug into my MacBook and I used QuickTime to record the lectures. It worked very slick.
I presume you want to walk around the classroom and not be tethered to your computer as you teach. What I'm interested in is finding out if there is a way to wear a Bluetooth headset, have it communicate with my Macbook, and record everything using QuickTime -- the reason being that when I teach again in Winter, my classroom won't have the FM mic. I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on this and I'd like to before I plunk down $$ for a BlueTooth headset.

  • Certain Equipment for Podcast

Hey all, just wondering if any of you could suggest a basic pre amp or mixer to purchase for starting out podcasting. I know nothing about mixers or any of that stuff. I basically just want to hook 2 mics up and run that somehow to my Sony HDR FX1 camera and record right to tape. Anything under 200 bucks would be great. Im investing in 2 of the Samson C03U Recording Paks as my mics. I just need suggestions on the other equipment. I will be editing in Garage band.

Have a look at the websites of Alesis and Behringer.

  • Which equipment for that ?

Is there any NI equipment which can do next thing on 60-100 channels:
    - need to measure resistance, or just voltage (if i have constant current source)
    - constant current source (need about 100 mA per channel)
What's the best solution for that. I need to log also all data.
Rookie; LV 2011 on WIN 7

You are going to need multiple cards.  As far as reading voltage, I have had good luck with the PXI-6225 which does 80 single ended AI channels.  I'm not sure at the top of my head what to use for a current source.  Probably looking at a power supply module.  I would contact my local NI rep to see what they come up with.  They have rarely ever failed me (and those few times we were asking for the world).
