Equipment Specific Anual Maintenance Contract

Hi friends,
Plant Maintenance-For an Equipment, if a 'Anual Maintenance Contract' is created through a Maintenance order on an external Vendor for a specific period, during that validity period, the SAP system should nt allow to process any further maintenace order for the same equipment. Please suggest a solution.

Hi Sweta,
Please maintain separate class for AMC and define different characteristics (AMC duration, vendor) to it and assign to equipment for which you want to maintain the AMC.
And when ever vendor perform certain activity on the AMC equipment,Obviously you will create Work order based on the AMC equipment,so that will capture how many times vendor has visited the site and perform the operations (From IW38 or IW39,just give the AMC equipment and execute)
you will get the report.

  • Annual Maintenance Contract for Equipment Pieces in SAP

    Hi All,
I am aware of the standard SAP function of Service Procurement.
However my requirement is as follows:-
1.I want to create a 'F' Account Assigned service Purchase order (Annual Maintenance Contract) with a option in the PO screen to enter equipment numbers. On saving the PO,dynamically a Maintenance order should get created with the equipment pieces in the object List.
2.The P.O number of AMC should get dynamically populated in the equipment master view for the equipment pieces mentioned in the AMC.
3.During Notification or Maintenance order creation,I want to use the OIK(Object Information Key) or any other pop-up screen for information regarding the AMC PO Number with validity period.
4.During Service entry preparation want to put the equipment number, for which AMC activity has been performed.
5.Finally want to generate a report  to display the  equipment pieces for which AMC activity got missed.
Request all to provide a solution for this as all maintenance services have been hired for my equipment pieces and I want to utilize all the standard SAP reports.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sujoy

    Dear Sujoy,
If you exactly require the same way what you have written, it would be a product development and not recomended.
    Follow the cycle described below.
    1. Create a Contract with F & D (Services & Assigned to Maint Order).
    2. Create all required Equipment.
    3. Create Equipment Task List with External Operation Control Key and assign the Contract Number for each Opeartion. (Service values from contract will not be updated Automatically, either update manually or do a development for this part).
    4. Create Maintenance Plans an dinclude the Task Lists.
    5. Orders are generated with PR's with reference to Contract.
    6. Let them release monthly or fortnightly PO's.
    7. On Submission of Service report, create SES and release.
In this way you will have complete Maintenance History with cost & control.
Hope this might be useful to you.

  • Equipment specific contract determination in notification

    Hi Guys,
Superior equipment is assign in contract. Superior equipment's contract auto determine when I am creating service notification for sub equipment. I do not wants auto determination of Superior equipment's contract while creating service notification for sub equipment. Please suggest how I can achieve this.
    Thanks

    Hi Harshvardhan,
This is standard behaviour. If your superior Equipment assigned to any service contract, while creating service notification for any of its sub ordinate Equipment, system will determine contract
If you don't want this to happen, you can change the settings of your notification type in OIM9
Uncheck the field AUTO CONTRACT DETERMINATION
    Uncheck and try to replicate

  • Maintenance contracts required for CUCM on UCS

    Hello All,
I have a CUCM Ver 8.5 clustrer running on UCS C210M2 server. I would like to know is there is a single maintenance contract I can purchase from Cisco to cover both UCS hardware and CUCM software. Also CUCM is running on top of VMWare ESX server, should I require to get a separate maintenance for VMWare as well ?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

First, let me make sure we're using the same terminology before I answer:
Contract - The contract number that is tied to your CCO user ID and your equipment
Maint Agreement - Your hardware or software coverage.
My understanding is that you cannot put your hardware and software on the same agreement for a number of reasons.  But there is no reason that all of your agreements can't be put under the same contract number.  Often, hardware and software will be on seperate POs, etc. and will end up under separate contract numbers, making things a pain.  I would work with your Cisco rep to see if you can combine all of your agreements under a single contract number.  I don't see why it would be an issue.  If they can't do this with existing contracts, then in the future I would talk with my rep about ensuring that all future purchases get tied to the same contract number.

  • Maintenance Contracts

I have a maintenance contract for another 12 months for the applications in Adobe Master Collection. Will I receive the updates I've contracted for?
UPDATE: I just found the following message from Adobe related to EDU customers with maintenance (upgrade) contracts:
On May 6, we announced the next generation creative applications called Creative Cloud desktop applications, or CC apps. The new CC apps are an integral part of Creative Cloud and have been reinvented to support a more intuitive, connected way of creating. We also announced that new creative software innovation will be delivered exclusively to Creative Cloud members.
Because we appreciate your business, we're pleased to offer you 18 months of many of our CC apps at no cost for each licensed product you own that is covered by Upgrade Plan as of May 1, 2013*. Our records show that you have purchased Upgrade Plan for the following licenses, and that your coverage is active as of May 1, 2013:
This is (relatively) good news for me, and I hope it also helps others in the same situation.

I read this data from an excel file and have to do this 'update'. I wanted to use bapi_contract_change but this FM is not suitable for my task.

No ideas instead of creating BI map?

  • Automatically adding  purchase orders and maintenance contracts

We are actually doing our purchase requisition and quotation externally through a procurement agent.  We get an excel sheet extract from our proquriement agent of all our purchases.  We want to be able to automatically enter these purchases into the system for record keeping.  Is there a way SAP can automatically read the extract file and enter purchase orders and maintenance contracts into the system?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The GL Account field in PO Line is not a UDF, it's a standard field.
other information, if I try to fill the GL Account field using the SAP orange arrow, it's ok(by selecting the same account number)

  • Add field Previous owner in Customer Equipment Card and Service Contract

Functionality for Customer Equipment Card and Service Contract
-- Version: (Please provide the current version)
    2007-PL44
-- Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
Add a field in the Customer Equipment Card and Service Contract called: Previous owner (with orange arrow to see BP card). The BP code of the previous owner should be transferred to this field.
-- Valid as of: (Date that this legal requirement is applicable)
    2009-05-01
-- Business needs: (Please describe the impact on your business, if the functionality is not realized)
When 50 instruments go to another BP we have to alter 200 records (close 50 CEC and 50 Contracts of the current BP - add 50 CEC and 50 Contracts to the new BP). This takes some hours to do the change.
-- Examples: (Please describe a typical example, how the functionality should work.)
If you want to know the previous owner of an instrument then this information should be visible in the CEC and Serive Contract screen in the field Previous Owner (add orange arrow to it as well). You should not have to close the CEC and Contract, but be able to overwrite it with the new BP code (like it was in version 2005).
-- Current Workaround: (Please describe the workarounds you are using at the moment)
First close all the CEC and Contracts of the current BP and add new CEC and Contracts to the new BP
-- Proposed solution: (Please suggest how the new functionality should work)
Enter the new BP in the Customer Equipment Card and Actualize. A screen should pop up with a warning: This equipment card will be transferred to business partner C1000. Business partner C1001 will be the previous owner. Ok?
The same for the Service contract.

    Hi,
It seems that you have posted your Requirement request as it is...
I have the same kind of requirement, If you have done already please let me know you method.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Annual maintenance contract in SAP

    hi
    sdn,
how to bring Annual maintenance contract in SAP.
    regards,
    amit

    hi amit,
first you should create a maintenance activity type and assign it to order type for which you may use AMC for reporting.
2- now make a order with control key externally not internally. and in service enter the service desr, quantity, price, cost element.
3- now go to again in order by iw32, and you will get service pr no.
4- release both maintenace order as well as PR.
5- now make purchase order by using this pr.
6-  and then make service entry sheet by ml81m.
    7- now do the settlement.
i think you must clear all these.
    regards,

    Hi Amit
You can do it by using document type FO whrein you have start & end date as required in case of AMC.

  • AMC ( Annual Maintenance contract)

    Dear Sir,
How to create AMC ( Annual Maintenance contract)
    I am in sap pm
please guide me step by step with t codes.
    sai meghana

    Hi,
What is definiation of AMC for your business ?
If it is related to service Only ?
if it is service only then you need to create Value contract and create PO for that Contract and do SES for service Taken as you have external services in PM order.

  • Equipment card has valid contracts   [Message 3676-12]

    Hi, Expert,
We have recently upgrade to SAP Business One 2007 A (8.00.178)  SP: 00  PL: 42, we found out there is a spelling mistake in Customer Name in Customer Equipment Card, we try to amend the mistake but somehow the system does not allow us to save and display the error message "Equipment card has valid contracts   [Message 3676-12]".
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Ng

    Hi there
It will not be possible to change the  Name or the Item Description to a Customer Equipment Card that is linked to an existing Service Contract or to Service Calls.
it is how the system behaves currently, and a patch level issue
for workaround you can check it out if that is attached to a service call or contract
    Thanks

  • IPS Maintenance Contract

    Hi,
Wish to know what I can do to obtain an IPS maintenance contract.
    thanks

    hi,
there are two support contracts that you can have:
    1. hardware support (shared support or smartnet, depending on partner type)
    2. signature update license
In order to have license for signature updates, you also need to buy hardware support. License cannot last longer that hardware support.

    Sasa
