Equipment wise component allocation in a maintenance order

Dear experts,
I have created maintenance order for multiple equipments.I can able to allocate components operationwise. But I need to  allocate components equipmentwise?
Please suggest solution.Your early reply will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
Reddi

Hi,
I think the first thing here is we issue components to operation and not to eqpts in object list .. , first thing what we need to have is to link object list with operation ..and thus :- to link Object list to operation we can do the config :-
Path: Maintenance and Service Processing>>>Functiona and setting for Order Types>>>>Define Notification and Order Integration: Enhance Object List:- Selct the required Order type and Choose " Assignment of Operations to All Object list entries Active"
I think you have some reports for which components issued to operation like IW47 etc can be tracked out .. so this can be one work around i belive ..

  • Assignment of G/L on Maintenance Order Internal Component

    Hi,
I can specify G/L of my choice on Maintenance Order (PM Maintenance Order) for external components ( Non Stock Items) but unable to do so for Internal Components(Stock Items). Is there any configuration which could allow me to specify G/L of my choice for an internal component  attached on a Maintenance Order?

    Lets take a scenario
Suppose i have got some stock in my store, the time i bought them i was not sure where i m going to use them..i have three departments Admin, IT and Production. That particular stock item can be utilized in either of three categories. The purpose of giving my own GL on Maintenance Order was to see the utilization of that stock item under the head for which the Maintenance Order was created i.e.
if the maintenance activity is being performed in Admin the usage of the material should managed under GLs of Admin. By the way, does it really make sense ?

  • Line item deletion in Maintenance order

    Hi Guru's
Please let me know how to find the deleted line item in the component tab of maintenance order before saving.
for eg. The user creates the following line item in the component tab of the maintenance order.
Before saving he deletes the line item 20.
    Item   component   qty
    10       100001        10
    20       100003        20
Please let me know  where exactly the deleted status is stored, before saving for the line item
    Regards
    Vidhyadharan

    Hi Pete
We are trying to prevent the user from creating product line items in Maintenance order with respect to equipment BOM. Let me explain you the scenario
Equipment 1000201 - contains the following components as BOM
    1002775 - qty 2
    1003326  - qty 1
When the user creates the order , he tries to withdraw more qty than the qty specified iin BOM. We have controlled it using enhancement IWO10009.  Initially we didn't anticipate that the  control can  be skipped by duplicating the material (i.e material line) eg line no 10 :1002775 - qty 2 and line no 20: 1002775 - qty 2 and the transaction is saved. In order to control, we have modified the program accordingly and never allow the user to save, if there is a duplication of material.
The problem started when the user tries to save the line item after deleting the duplicate material
The check we used doesn't not allow the user to save inspite of the line item been deleted. The msg introduced keep repeating .
We tried debugging the program, we wouldn't find any  deletion indicator in the structure   CAUFVD_IMP or resb  to overcome this bug.
Can you pls let us know where exactly the deletion indicator or status is stored for the line item in the component tab before saving

  • Bom for component allocation in routing

I have created Sales order Bom. When I create normal routing and go for component allocation then system asks for Bom creation.
Why system is not considering  sales order bom in Normal routing for component allocation?

    Hi,
Sales order BOM will not be valid for Production. Eventhough you have created the sale BOM, the system will consider only the Production BOM. So you need to create a Production order BOM also, when you want to create a routing or production order creation.

    hi expert,
is there any t-code fr displaying maintenance reprt equipment wise in that report i could see painding maintenance, service order & completed maintenance order & service order.

    santosh

    hi
you can use the T code IW38 or IW39 in that you can select in process,or completed order to display what are all the order which has not completed .
system will not show the order which are pending because of want of material ,man etc unless you have activated the user status for the order which show the respective one

  • BOM List in Component overview of maintenance order

    Hi Friends
When we look at the structure list in the component overview screen to select the component in the maintenance order, the BOM list is shown only for the validity on the order creation date .
However subsequently the BOM had undergone changes ( new component has been added to the equipment BOM)
This new list is not available to enable us to select the component .
How can this be handled ?It would be better to have the structure list for the current day as validity !
    Thanks in advance .

SAP has replied to our issue as given below
When calling the structural list on the component screen the
start date of the order is taken into account. If you need the
structural list of another day (for example today) you will have to
    reschedule the order.
On the header screen the display of the structural list is a general
functionality  (shared with notification, functional location, etc.) and
the date of today is taken into account.
By opening the Structure (Folder Components ) the system checks the
earl.start time form your order and the valid from date of all
components in your BOM.In the structure display you can only find the
components where the valid from date have the same range as the
early .start time of your order.
    This is SAP Standard Logic.
You can perhaps try user Exit IWO10029 which may be of some benefit in
    your case.

  • Mass Removal of component from Maintenance Order Component list

    Hi Gurus,
I had a long list of material which have been set with deletion flag. With this list, I had remove them from BOM using CS20. Does anyone knows how to remove a component from the maintenance order component list based on that material had set deletion flag in material master & that GI had not been done? Appreciate your help.
    Best regards,

I guess we dont have std function to do this..
I will suggest to take help of an abaper & create a code to find material & delete from orders.

  • Plan Component from Maintenance Order

    Hi,
When i plan a component from maintenance order I use item category N with key MATE.
But i woul plan component for purchase requisition on project stock( account assign Q) directly from Maintenance Order. Allow I insert item category N in the field ad near insert the value 2 for project stock.
When i release the order the system blank the field and i don't create a Purchase requisition with project stock but i purchase requisition with account assignement F
Because the system put away the field blank?, I must done another customizing, or i must utilize another KEY?
    Thank you

    Hi,
When you make Item cat as N it means they are non stock .
For non stock & with F order as account assignment system creates PR.
if you want this componenet as Project stock them there are following  ways
1.Make PR with item cat as Q & make PR on WBS or PS System.
      System will post direct entries.
2.Make normal stock PR then issue against WBS by order
Settle the maintenance order to WBS element
3.Get material as normal stock material issue with 221 mvt against WBS or PS system.
Systme will make enties to WBS.

  • Budget Allocation to Maintenance Order

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I wanted to enquire about how could the Budget be allocated to Maintenance Order of Order Category 30. No Budget Profile could be assigned to Maintenance Order types. I have worked on the transaction ko22 but still it denies me any budget allocation due to non allocation of Budget Profile to the Maintenance Order.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Muhammad Usman Kahoot

    Hi
You can create an Controlling Internal order where costs are settled to by the PM order.  I.e. vehicle repairs can all go to a single internal order to collect costs.  You can easily plan on the internal order.  The internal order can then in turn settle to a cost centre or otherwise.
I don't believe that one can do an independent plan on the PM order because it is a temporary cost object for a particular repair or something.  It should be able to create a PM dependant plan from the planned activities or operations or materials.  The planning will be done on the object settled to. i.e. Internal order or WBS Element as previously recommended.
    Hope this helps

  • Component selection in maintenance order

    Hi,
My client want to see unrestricted stock of material while creating maintenance order. In Component tab when we take input help to search components, we can able to see material no & descriprion. In addition I want is to display current unrestricted stock & plant for the material.
Stock data can be taken from table MARD. I want to know is there any user exit available for this ??
I know one exit IWO10011 Maint. order: Customer enhancement for component selection, but I am not sure whether this will work or not.
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Hitesh

    Hello Hitesh,
If you want to see the unrestricted stock of the material entered in component tab then put your cursor on the storage location
field in the same component row and press F4. Here, you will get the unrestricted stock.

  • Prevent changes in Component of a maintenance orders

    Hi Experts,
    I have two questions:
    1. Is it possible to restrain and changes to Component line items (Materials) in maintenance order once it's released except for allowing deletion of the material?
    2. Is it possible to make the filed "Item Category" as Display right when entering the materials in a maintenance order to prevent users from the changing the IC which is defaulted from Material Master?
Once I set it as Display it only takes an effect once we enter a material number and press enter but if a user changes the IC before that the system allows it.
    Please help

    Hi,
For question 1:- Use User exit PPCO0023 : Check Changes to Order Components
For question 2 :-  In our project we have used use exit CNEX0013 Order: Cust. enhancement: Default item category comp. assgmt to populate item category once material no is entered & grey out the field ..
pls check the above user exits ..

  • Maintenance orders are created for FL/equipment only ?

    Hi all,
"maintenance orders are created for FL/equipment only".
How can i to understander this sentence, i use t-code: iw31 to create a maintenance order, and the 'Assembly' field can be entered. so how can i to create a maintenance order just for FL/equipment only ?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Ivy Lu

    Hi Praveen,
It's not a message. i got this sentence from the following information:
Q7: When you maintain an assembly in a piece of equipment, is it possible to get maintenance history of the assembly? Do you have to create it as a piece of equipment?
A7: As maintenance orders are created for FL/equipment only, maintenance history can only be tracked at that level, not at assembly level.  Assemblies are mere structuring devices to have spare parts linked to an equipment in a structured manner. However, in PM orders, you can mention the assembly along with the FL/Eq. Depending on your reporting needs, an ABAPer could use the 'PM Assembly' field in PM orders.

  • Function module/BDC/BAPI for Component allocation operation wise

    Dear Experts,
I need your help on Component allocation in Routing (CA02) per opertion wise.
Currently we are assigning the Component individually per operation manually
The problem is if a BOM is having 500 Components/Materials and there are 10 operations then we need to assign these 500 components to that particular operation manually which is tedious job & killing a lot of time.
I need your help if any Function module or BAPI or BDC is there to allocate these components per operation wise.
Or any other process which can done easily on this component allocation operation wise

    gsc

Hello GSC, (and of course anyone able to help me)
taking account of the date of the message (2008) i think you have finally encountered a solution to your issue ?
Well, now i have got the same problem than you before.
My requirement is to modify the component allocation in a routing by using change document.
I found the bapi /SAPMP/BAPI_ROUTING_PROCESS. I have spend few days to make it work without success.
Iam still facing error message. Futhermore i have read trough a SAP note that this BAPI could not work properly in some case.
Considering that Iam trying to study other solutions (BDC ?).
Please, i would appreciate if you give me some advice on this problem.
    Thank you very much.

  • Profit Center to be picked from Equipment Cost center in Maintenance Order

    Hi All
We are not maintianing any costcenter in work center and only maintaning the cost center in equipment master.
So when i create the maintenance order, profit center is not picked up in Additional Data Tab from Cost center maintained in equipment master.
    Please  provide your valuable sugesstions.
    Regards
    Praveen

    Hi,
The profit center is derived from the cost center of the responsible work center when the order is first created. If a cost center is not available then I expect the profit center cannot be automatically filled on the order. The user can manually enter a value.
The exit IWO10005 is frequently used to determine the profit center. You may want to look at implementing some custom logic there.
