Error "1 (Error INF)" in InfoView when using ; as separator of value

Can anyone explain me this change of Behaviour before I log a bug ?
Here is the workflow :
1. Create a new WebI report using EMP from Oracle
2. Use Empno, Ename, Job and Mgr objects
3. Put a query filter on Mgr object In list and then prompt
4. Run the query and then select few values
5. save the report
6. Open the report in Interactive mode
7.In the left pane 'User Prompt Input' overwrite the existing value by manually inserting new ones separated by ;
8. Select advanced button
-> report is running fine
Do the same workflow as above in BOXIR2 sp4
-> error 1(Error INF) is coming up
modify the separator by a , and then no error is coming up prompt is then showing
Why is that ? Has there been some changes done between the 2 versions ?

Dear Mat,
While more details are desirable to give precise answer I guess that I know the origins of the problem. VML functions are thread-safe. VML engineers use Mircosoft TLS mechanism to maintain thread safety of VML global variables. The TLS use is different for static and dynamic case. This implies that it is impossible to use MKL static library which contains TLS stuff to build dynamic library. Indeed, your DllMain function must have VML TLS initialization/processing/finalization stuff (for details see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms686997.aspx). In case VML TLS stuff is absent in your DllMain routine you will see Access Violation on any attempt to access VML global variables.
VML engeneers are seeking for possible solutions/workarounds. Thus far they don't see any elegant way of solving this with existing technologies. Specifically, _mkl_vml_core_w7_vml_GetMode routine does access one of VML global variables.
There is a possibility to build custom VML DLL from static MKL library using MKL Builder Tool. The limitation is that the built DLL cannot contain non-MKL stuff (recalling DllMain issue, MKL Builder Tool cannot put into DllMain routine user's stuff).
Feel free to go to Intel MKL web forum or contact Intel Tech Support in case you have additional questions.
I will keep you informed.

  • Capturing error messages from Oracle EBS APIs when using Oracle Apps Adapter

    We are using Oracle applications adapter to call Oracle EBS (both R11.5 and R12) APIs. I want to understand the best practice around error handling when using Oracle Apps Adapter to call Oracle EBS.
    Here are some observations:
    1. Most of the APIs return X_RETURN_STATUS and X_MSG_DATA containing the status and messages if any.
    2. If the MSG COUNT is 1 then X_MSG_DATA contains the message, if MSG COUNT is > 1. X_MSG_DATA is empty.
    We know that when calling the API directly from PL/SQL, we need to loop through FND_MSG_PUB to fetch all messages when there are more than 1. How do we achieve the same using Apps Adapter as Apps Adapter generates the PL/SQL block to call the API dynamically at runtime.
    In some APIs, which have table/rec types as input or output parameters, Apps Adapter generates a wrapper package to do conversion from SQL--> PL/SQL and viceversa. In this case the adapter calls the custom package generated which internally calls the API. For these APIs we were able to put the logic to loop through FND_MSG_PUB and return a concatenated string as value of X_MSG_DATA.
    But what should we do for the APIs which do NOT have a rec/table type as input or output, in which case the Apps Adapter directly calls the API and there is no intermediate custom package?
    How are others handling this?

  • Error out from MB01 and MIGO when using BADI "INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE"

    Hi all:
    We are currently implementing Quality Level with Dynamic Modification Rule using SAP Quality Management module.
    We are trying to change stage level by modifying the field PRSTUFENAE of the table QDQL (Material Quality Level) using BADI: INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE, new logic is successful for a goods receipt with a single lot if we use COMMIT WORK within BADI, but an error occurs from MB01 and MIGO when we are receiving multiple lots in same goods receipt.
    Have anyone else got across something similar?
    Thank you in advance,
    Regards
    Daniel Guillen

    Hi Paul,
    First of all, there is a How To Guide for RUNLOGIC implementation. It uses BAdI approach as well, but doesn't call WRITE_BACK that can change from version to version.
    Second, you should be able to see that method GET_DELTA is being called under
    IF D_CALC_DELTA eq abap_true and df_bw_delta eq abap_false.
    D_CALC_DELTA is set to TRUE only in Method WRITE_BACK_INT; I hope you aren't using that one.
    DF_BW_DELTA is taken from DM Package parameters. Can you check what you have there or put just a break-point in PACKAGE_LOGIC_1 to see what value those 2 variables have?
    Hope this helps,
    Gersh

  • Error Generated by DIO Port Read when using a compilied Operator Interface

    When using a compilied version of an TestStand Operator interface, a Vi that reads the status of a port on a PCI-6602 board stops working. Within this VI a sub VI called Read DIO Port brings back an error -10007. But when I use the un compilied version of the operator interface there is no problem with the VI.
    Why is this so?

    I have tried to simulate this issue and I have not been able to replicate your issue.
    I know the -10007 occurs when you try and create/use a resource index that is not possible i.e if your referencing channel 9 and the device only has 8 channels.
    Have you managed to overcome this issue yet?

  • Error running BW report frm InfoView when pwd initialized/changed in BW

    Hi Experts,
    We encountered error "A database error occured. THe databse error text is: unable to connect to sap bw server name or password is incorrect (repeat logon) (WIS 10901)" when we tried to run a BW report from InfoView. We realize this happens only when the user's password is initialized or has been changed in BW.
    In our landscape, users SSO into InfoView via Windows Authentication. SSO between InfoView to BW is via SNC.
    The error is gone after loggin into InfoView through non-SSO method, then selecting "SAP authentication" method and login
    with new BW credentials. It seems like there' s a cache in BOBJ server containing the user's BW credentials. However, this is not a realistic scenario since users change their passwords frequently and we cannot expect them to login to InfoView with SAP authentication each time there is a password change. The requirement is that they are to SSO into InfoView using Windows Authentication.
    Similar to when password is initialized, it requires user to login to BW to change the password, then login to InfoView using SAP authentication to "sync" up the credentials. This kinda defeats the purpose of SSO isn't it? Anyone has any solution to this?
    THanks,
    ZM

    Hi Ingo,
    Thanks for the prompt reply. From the behaviour of the testing, it seems like BOBJ server has a cache ( correct me if i'm wrong here)  that contains users' BW credentials that is retrieved when user runs BW report in InfoView, as whenever the pwd is changed in BW via SAP GUI, users will always hit the error unless the user logs in the InfoView by selecting "sap" authentication on the logon page, which thus refreshes the cache in BOBJ. If users change their passwords in SAP GUI (BW), this will result in passwords in BW and cache of BOBJ server to be out of sync, and thus error still appears.
    1. Is this the standard behaviour for BOBJ cache to store the BW credentials?
    2. How can we sync up the user credentials?
    Thanks,
    ZM

  • Error in WEBI report and MDXTEST  when using Dimensions in Prompt

    Hi,
    I am using BOXIR3.1 SP2, SAPBI 7.0
    I m creating a webI report (Universe is on SAP BI Query.) which include following objcets in Query section of WebI pannel:
    Business partner, Account Class, Total Arreas count.
    The Condition pane of Webi Includes Prompt on object "Account Class".
    When I run a report, I get List of values for Dimension Account Class, when I select one of available value eg: Commercial Customer,I get Following Error.
    A database error occured. The database error text is: The MDX query SELECT  { [Measures].[4EITIDWAFWLLZD2ONIAVCKD56] }  ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( [Z_BPATNER].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS,  { [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[Commercial Customers] }  ) ON ROWS FROM [ZFC_M07/Z_FC_M07_Q002]  failed to execute with the error Value Commercial Customers for characteristic Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS unknown. (WIS 10901)
    I tried running same query in MDXTEST editor of BI. I got same error!!!
    Then I tried changing the MDX Query as:
    SELECT  { [Measures].[4EITIDWAFWLLZD2ONIAVCKD56] }
    ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( [Z_BPATNER].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS,  { [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM] }  ) ON ROWS
    FROM [ZFC_M07/Z_FC_M07_Q002]
    Then it worked Fine!!!  If you observe the change is in the value of Prompt Account Class [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM]
    By default Dimension object in Universe shows text value, but when I changed the MDXQuery with Key value (This is one of the value of value is for [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[Level01] object in mDX test Editor.) It works fine.
    I wonder How do i solve this problem!! List of values available in dimension cannot be changed at universe level.
    Please let me know if any solution for this exists.
    regads,
    Nisha.

    Hi Ingo,
    I am creating the prompt on the dimension "Account Class" at WebI level.
    The Technical name of this object is: [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[LEVEL01]
    Also,
    I confirmed that Index Awareness is applied on this dimension as [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[LEVEL01].[TECH_NAME].
    This Dimension has detail object called "Account Class (Key) "and "Account Class (Medium name)".
    MDXtest editor in SAP, shows me text as well as [ Level01] values:
    Eg: Account Class InfoObject has values "Commercial Customer " (This is text value)and  "[Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM]".
    COM Refers to Commercial Customer .
    So In WebI when I use Dimension "Account Class" as prompt, I get Text value of this InfoObject which is "Commercial Customer ".
    and MDXQuery Fails. But when I modify this query in mDXTEST Editor with value as "[Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM]", It work fine.
    I donu2019t understand the reason, since this problem is with almost 90% of Dimension object.
    When I delete this object from universe, and refresh the universe then webI works fine.
    But, if for some reason I refresh the universe again, the Dimension object as a prompt doesnu2019t work!!!
    This error occurs every time I refresh the universe.
    We are in UAT phase and soon to go Live!!  We cannot afford to delete the object every time I refresh the universe.
    Please let me know your inputs.
    regards,
    Nisha.

  • Compile error "input line is too long" when using useLegacyAOT

    I'm using FlashBuilder 4.7 and the release of AIR 4 on Windows 7 to package for iOS...As soon as I include 3 or more ANEs I can no longer compile to iOS (and also use the new "useLegacyAOT no" command).  When I try I get an error "The input line is too long.   Compilation failed while executing : compile-abc"
    I found a couple other similar issues.  One post suggested instead of pointing to individual ANEs (in Package Contents) to point to a folder instead--but this doesn't fix the
    Another post for a slightly different problem said it was fixed in the release of AIR 4.
    Any ideas?  I wonder if I move my AIR SDK to a simple path (like "c:\air\adt.jar" instead of "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit)\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722\AIRSDK\lib\adt.jar") if it'd help.
    Thanks in advance!

    Awesome!  I got used to the new useLegacyAOT thing very fast.  In the meantime, I have to decide whether to remove all my ANEs and test or sit through an interminable build sequence.
    What's the current plan for a new release?  Is there any way I could get a beta copy just to use during development?
    Thanks!

I have a Remote Stateless session bean which has persistence operations for creating and searching etc.. I am accessing the remote bean via jndi from a j2ee java client. The access works fine. The session bean persist operation creates data in both the entities (cascade persist).

    It appears to be a bug in Netbeans.
    I have a similar error message with the following settings:
    A session bean remote interface
    be.macharis.toon.pacita.common.OriginFacadeRemoteA session bean implementing the remote interface
    be.macharis.toon.pacita.common.OriginFacadeAt deploying the ejb module, the session bean is loaded in the JNDI registry under the name be.macharis.toon.pacita.common.OriginFacadeRemote (the server log says so).
    I have the following code in a servlet:
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import javax.naming.NamingException;
    try {
        Context ic = new InitialContext();
        OriginFacadeRemote originFacade = (OriginFacadeRemote)ic.lookup(OriginFacadeRemote.class.getName());
        originFacade.setOrigin(componentRegistry, OriginFacadeRemote.ELEMENT_CONTAINER); // <- exception here
    } catch (NamingException e) {
        e.printStackTrace();
    }Yet I get a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException during the EJB method call. The exception does not take place during execution of the method, but before, while the EJB container is still resolving the method. It thus must be a(nother) bug in the implementation of the EJB container.
    And bugs that are outside your control are so much harder to deal with... There was another bug in the EJB container for serialising complex object that I could work around by explicitly serialising the Objects myself to byte arrays. It took me 5 days to do so. I don't know if I will manage to work around this bug. If I do, I will post my solution. For completeness, below my "clarifying" error dump:

    Hi Gurus,
    I am having a problem that
    The output for custom Arabic report in ghost viewer is coming garbage type characters
    so i added these below lines in adovars.env
    export IX_PRINTING=$FND_TOP/resource/ixlib.cfg
    export IX_RENDERING=$FND_TOP/resource/pastas.cfg
    export TK_LOCALE=BIDI
    after that i sourced the environment file and bounced back the apps tier, what happened arabic characters started to come fine as expected in ghost viewer
    but when i ran active user report it ended in completed but with error
    then i checked its output was in PDF so i changed it in text still the same
    then i ran other reports to verify i found it any report file giving output as PDF & TXT is giving the below error where as rtf & Postscript are giving correct output
    the error is coming as
    "stat_low = 6
    stat_high = 0
    emsg:was terminated by signal 6
    Enter Password:
    *** glibc detected *** ora_rw20_run: free(): invalid pointer: 0x08ee509c ***
    i searched oracle support and found Note [ID 1295724.1] which is very near to my error
    according to it ixlib.cfg is having invalid entries i checked there was none.
    when ever i remove these below 3 lines from adovars.env every thing gets back to normal but arabic characters in postscript ghost viewer appears as junk
    export IX_PRINTING=$FND_TOP/resource/ixlib.cfg
    export IX_RENDERING=$FND_TOP/resource/pastas.cfg

    Can you find any errors in the database log file?
    after that i sourced the environment file and bounced back the apps tier, what happened arabic characters started to come fine as expected in ghost viewer
    but when i ran active user report it ended in completed but with error You mentioned that Arabic characters started to come find in Ghost Viewer, so what was the request you have submitted?
    then i checked its output was in PDF so i changed it in text still the same What is the database characterset? Have you reviewed (How to Print PDF/UTF8 in R12? [ID 778970.1])?
    then i ran other reports to verify i found it any report file giving output as PDF & TXT is giving the below error where as rtf & Postscript are giving correct output
    the error is coming as
    "stat_low = 6
    stat_high = 0
    emsg:was terminated by signal 6
    Enter Password:
    *** glibc detected *** ora_rw20_run: free(): invalid pointer: 0x08ee509c ***Have you tried to enable trace and see if you get more details about the error?
    i searched oracle support and found Note [ID 1295724.1] which is very near to my error
    according to it ixlib.cfg is having invalid entries i checked there was none.What about displayfontpath? Is it set to the absolute path?
    when ever i remove these below 3 lines from adovars.env every thing gets back to normal but arabic characters in postscript ghost viewer appears as junk
    export IX_PRINTING=$FND_TOP/resource/ixlib.cfg
    export IX_RENDERING=$FND_TOP/resource/pastas.cfg
    export TK_LOCALE=BIDIhave you verified the value of "Tk2Motif*fontMapCs" entry in Tk2Motif_UTF8.rgb file? -- Arabic Bitmap Reports Complete in Error [ID 798213.1]

  • Error Stating "Not enough source pixels" when using content aware fill

    I am trying to use content aware fill on a JPG photo. Am getting an error saying that I do not have enough source pixels. What am I doing wrong?

    R_Kelly, Sorry I am late in getting back with you, have been out of town on business. I think I found out what I was doing wrong. I created a duplicte background layer and had not check off sample both layers. Corrected this and my problem has gone away.
    Thanks for your interest and help.

  • Error in Workflow Services API acquireTask when using local EJB protocol

    Hi,
    I have a stateful EJB which calls the workflow services API acquireTask to acquire a task. The task was retrieved using a queryTask API call. However, the acquireTask API fails with an exception at TaskServiceLocalClient.java:1152, as listed below in the log, with no clear message as to why it had failed.
    The stateful EJB calls to workflow API using the local EJB protocol.
    The version of SOA suite running is 10.1.3.1 with Oracle XE 10.2.0.1 as its dehydration store on Windows XP Professional version 2002.
    Just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem or know what might have caused this.

    Hi Nicolas,
    It turned out I had the wrong version of "xml.jar" on the classpath. I have swapped the incorrect jar for a correct one and changed my code to use XMLUtil.createDocument(); and now everything runs smoothly.
    Thank you very much for your helpful advice.

  • Error message: incompatible image size when using IMAQ in image processing

    I want to do low pass filter and convolution on an acquired image. When I connect the image to the VI, the message: incompatible image size appears. I have tried to set the border to 3 in IMAQ create, but it does not help. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

    A couple things might be causing this problem-
    1) The convolution matrix is bigger than 7x7, or
    2) You have created an image, but there is not yet anything in the buffer
    You can check number 2 by doing a winDraw window just before you do the convolution.
