Error code 14, no troubleshooting works...

Last night I updated my iPhone 3G with the latest software, and when the phone began to reboot, it just turned off, then came back on in recovery mode. The screen shows the iTunes logo with a USB lead pointing toward it, and this is as far as I can get. When I plug it in to iTunes, it says it's in recovery mode and needs to be restored. I press restore, and the usual boxes pop up, then the download/restore process starts, but fails when it is about 10% complete on the phone screen, says an unknown error (14) occurred. Is there any way to delete the software update and revert back to 3.0??
Thanks.

Error 13 and 14: These errors are typically resolved by performing one of more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including a different USB port directly on the computer.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock connector cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts by following iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize entry into your Registry. If your default packet size is set incorrectly it can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • A12E1 error code for Mac - troubleshooting workflow?

Hey, getting the A12E1 error code when trying to update creative cloud.  I am on a macbook pro OSX 10.7.5
There is only a workflow for troubleshooting this problem in windows at the Adobe FAQ.  Does anyone know what the workflow is for Mac?
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/a12e1-error-downloading-creative-cloud.html
Have tried repairing permissions and downloading from another user, as this was an issue before.  Any clues or help would be most apprecaited!

Nevermind.  I uninstalled CC and re-installed it and it seems to be working now.

  • After upgrading to 27.0.1, I can no longer access one secure site. I now get Error code: ssl_error_bad_mac_alert. This worked before the update.

I am trying to access the GUI administration page of my wireless controller. It is using a cert issued by the vendor that makes it, so the names do not match. I have created a permanent exception for the certificate. Whenever I try to access the site, I now get the following error every time:
    Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to 172.24.6.10:4343. SSL peer reports incorrect Message Authentication Code. (Error code: ssl_error_bad_mac_alert)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
This page worked fine before the most recent update.
Is there a setting or something I can change to allow this page to load?

Thank you both for your suggestions. I had seen the possible solutions of time and ipv6, but those did not help. I cannot recycle the wireless controller, as that would disrupt my business's network too much.
Cor-el, your answer was what worked for me. I went through each security.ssl3. setting like you suggested and found that
security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_des_ede3_sha is where the error was coming from.
With that one set to false, I was able to connect to the admin page again. When I set it back to true, the error comes back.
I also found that specifically any one of the following were needed for teh connection to work as long as the one above was false.
    security.ssl3.rsa_aes_128_sha
    security.ssl3.rsa_aes_256_sha
    security.ssl3.rsa_des_ede3_sha
so I am leaving the one that caused the error disabled and it is working again.
    Thanks!

  • Error code 43 - Biometric stop working (Authentec)

My equipment: HP Pavilion dv6-7070sw Entertainment (still on warranty)
I have a problem with biometric hardware. It stopped working without any reason. I could log in the system, but when I tried to use it to log in to my e-mail website it stopped working. LED does not light. It's totally dead. There is an error in device manager "Unknown device". Biometric device is missing. Reinstalling HP Simple Pass and drivers using HP Recovery Manager didn't solve the problem. I see only information that Windows shutdown device because of error code 43. I don't see any information about HP drivers for biometric equipment but only Windows drivers. I unistalled device throughdevice manager and HP Simple and install it again (with update from HP Support Assitant), installation was complted correctly, but it doesn't solve the problem. It seems that biometric device is dead and HP Simple is ok.
When I try to intall driver manual through device manager I see Windows information that device already has actual drivers (what is not true).
This is Authentec fingerprint device or Validity sensor (in HP Simple Pass I see Authntec but i HP Recovery Manager Validity Sensor).
What I should to repair biometric device?

I have managed to remedy this problem by looking at my usb devices in your device manager (go through Control panel / System). Look for the device with the little yellow triangle with the exclamation mark. High light it and delete it. After a reboot, your biometric should be operable.

suggested I uninstall Adobe Reader 10.1.7, and then install the new version. I uninstalled ver. 10.1.7....but got error code 1310 again when trying to install the current version of Reader. I rebooted the computer...then went to:   http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/    ...and that resolved my issue! I now have tghe latest version of Adobe Reader.

  • TS2039 After saving an Excel document on my Mac ( I do have Office Mac), it will not reopen and gives error code -43. It will also say that there is no such file, although the file is in the document box. Has happened twice now with big files.

I work on Excel files through my Office Mac program. On two occasions, a large Excel file, (about 1.5 MB) will not save and is not recoverable. It gives me an error code -43.
I work on many such files without problem, but this has now happened on two occasions with important files.

If it only happens with very large spread sheets, and only happens randomly, then one possibility is a buffer overflow, i.e., some piece of data is so large as to clobber the data that follows it.  If that is the case then the problem would only manifest itself if (a) you happen to access that data, (b) write beyond its allocation, and (c) what's just beyond that gets clobbered is something involved with the file's pathname.  Then when the pathname is needed it can't be found resulting in the -43.
In other words, more "quality" programming from Microsoft...not.
    Just a theory.

  • Error codes when trying to re-publish

I removed the page links and added hyper links to one page. Now when I try to re-publish I get error codes on things that worked fine before, and still work on the net.
I can't seem to add anything without getting error codes.
    Anyone able to help?

I don't know exactly what they said b/c they are nolonger on my screen.  It said something to the effect of "incomplete dowload, there was an eror during the dowload of *Song*".
The songs purchased were showing in my purchased list with an "exclamation point" by them, which I believe indicates the download was incomplete.  I restarted iTunes and the songs are no longer on my "Purchased list".
I was still charged after restarting iTunes

  • 0x61011bed error code

Error code 0x6011bed appears after the printer completes a print and to enable the printer to print again requires many button pushes on the message display of  "OK."   I have powered down the Officejet 7500,  unplugged the power, waited a minute,  removed and reinstalled the ink tanks and the printhead, vacuumed and blew away visible dust but still can't make the error go away for very long, with the error code usually returning after any print job (print or receipt of a fax). What additional step or cleaning need I perform to get more that a single print job after the error code clears? Additional observation: If the print job is multiple pages, once started the Officejet 7500 completes the task but getting is started after the error code appears is the problem.

Hello , I understand that you're getting the message '0x6011bed' on the front panel of your HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. Thank you for including all of the troubleshooting steps that you have attempted prior to reaching out for support. Now, there are different variations of '0x' error codes. Some error codes indicate print system failures within your printer. Others may indicate a Firmware Programming issue within your printer. For the error code that you're seeing, you may also see an additional message on the display of your printer that may alter what troubleshooting steps need to be completed. Therefore, I am going to provide you with the two methods of troubleshooting the '0x' error code you're seeing. Please just follow the steps below that match the exact error code message that you're seeing.   (1) The 0x6011bed error code or message includes the words 'Problem With Printhead,' 'Printer Failure,' or 'Ink System Failure':  If you see one of these messages with the 0x code on the printer, can you please click here to access the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Once the support document opens please follow the steps under Step 1, Step 3, Step 4, Step 5, Step 6, and Step 7. Should the error code persist once troubleshooting is complete a replacement Printhead will likely be needed. The Printhead is the part that the cartridges fit into. It controls 'reading' the cartridges and putting ink on the pages. If the Printhead is defective, then the print system within your product is defective.    (2) The 0x6011bed error code does not include the words 'Problem With Printhead,' 'Printer Failure,' or 'Ink System Failure':  If you see just a 0x error code on your printer, and no additional messages, then it is likely that your printer is experiencing a Firmware issue. Troubleshooting steps for this error are limited. Please click here to access the appropriate support document. Once the support document opens you will notice that there is only Step 1 that you can complete. This step would be the Power Reset, which you have already completed. Should the Reset fail to resolve the error code then a replacement printer would be needed.  Should you require a replacement I would suggest that you reach out to our Technical Support queue by phone to explore hardware replacement options.  HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:
    HP Contact Support
    (1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number (C9309A) on the right.
    (2) Choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
    (3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
    (4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.  Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good luck!

  • List of ORA-* error codes

    Hey,
Anyonde knows where can i find a list of all ORA-* error codes?
    tks

    Hey,
I work with an application, developed on a technology called 'NS-DK' (don't bother to google it, is very hard to find out anything about it ...)
Every time the database returns an error, the aplication immediately shuts de database local connection, and uses the NS-DK libraryes to decode the message.
However, after a upgrade to a more recent version of NS-DK, the Oracle errors are not being decoded correctly, and NS-DK support are not being very helpfull in solving the issue, so we are trying to develop a simple patch to temporarily solve the problem.
Reconnect to database to decode the errors is out of question, since it implicates lots of 'codding hours'.
Call Windows executables is not possible too, since the application runs over a 'pillow', without privileges to execute anything.
    That's why i need the file. :)
    tks

  • When I try to burn cd's I get the message 'cancelling disc burn' and an error code '4280', also I can't burn cd's on WMP all this has started after I upgraded, any ideas?

Since I upgraded to the latest version of itunes I can't burn discs, I just get the message 'cancelling burn' with error code '4280',   it was working fine before I upgraded, I am using Windows XP, any ideas?

    Many thanks for the diagnostics.
Failed while scanning for CD / DVD drives, error 2380.
Error while opening iTunes CD driver.  This could be caused by a corrupted iTunes file or a conflict with other older CD burning applications, either currently installed or previously installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:
iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install
