ERROR MSG: INCONSISTENT CHARACTERISTIC VALUE ASSIGNMENT
DETAILS :
You want to change the value assigned to a characteristic. However, the change causes inconsistency, so the new value is not allowed.
The inconsistency may be for the following reasons:
A precondition or selection condition is violated.
The characteristic is a single-value characteristic, and different values have been set by constraints, actions, or procedures.
In classification, inconsistencies occur when you change the value set of a characteristic if objects or classes have already been classified with values from the previous value set.
Procedure
Choose Inconsistencies to see what triggered the inconsistency. You can also use the explanation facility for more information.
Delete the values that triggered the inconsistency.
You can only change or delete a value or value set that has already been used to classify objects if you delete the existing allocations.

Hi,
Inconsistency due to different "VALUE" in the Release Strategy & "VALUE" present in the Release Characteristics . Check details with value assignment with designed Strategies.
Also keep following VALUE Release Characteristics for value
<=1000,00.00 USD
1000,00.01 USD- 2000,00 .00USD
2000,00 .01- 10000,00.00 USD
instead of (0,00 - 1000,00 USD,1001,00 - 2000,00 USD,2001,00 - 10000,00 USD )

Error at sales order: Inconsistent characteristic value assignment

Hi SAPians
There is a problem in variant configuration. I have configurable materials at sales order level with BOMs and super BOMs. When I am executing the scenario, not able to process further after selecting characteristic values for a configurable material. The error saying " Inconsistent characteristic value assignment". I checked all the relevant master data, every thing is okay. But I am not able to proceed further. Can any one provide some valuable inputs for this.

Did u create variant table (CU61) if not plz and try to make it by tick mark of Decision table..
u can check assignmebt consitance thru CU60 ..if there again blank plz maintain it manually..
basically wt happened during creation of Characteristics and assignment of value in value tab .. there is indicator ..which influence assignment consistance..
hope u may get clue.

DMS - Inconsistent characteristic value assignment

Dear experts,
I've some DMS documents with an 'Inconsistent characteristic value assignment': two values for a single-value characteristic.
I want to correct those documents, but I don't to change AUSP directly. I've tried BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2, but without results.

Yes, this is for PR release strategy. I have checked OMGQCK, there is no inconsitency related to char value assignment. But when I tried to assign char values in SAPL0ME2, there is hard error C1821.
I also tried to delete the char from the class but the error is still there. Any ideas?

but when i According to cu50 display an error message：
Inconsistent characteristic value assignment，Message no. C1821
creat pland order in tcode co08 display an error message：
No valid BOM exists
i choices "no" display an error message：Error or warning occurred during master data transfer
I do not know how to resolve

Characteristic Value Assignment in Sales order

Hi Pals,
I am using the Variant configuration scenario in the sales order. My problem is, when ever i try creating a new sales order and enter a material, it suppose to display the Characteristic Value Assignment screen but for me it is showing the "Display Characteristic Values" Screen. Because of this i am unable to enter the data at the sales order level. what might be the problem for this case.
Kindly help me out in this issue.

Release Strategy Inconsistent

Hello Experts,
We have a release procedures configured and due to
some changes I have deleted one of the release procedure
in the system and transported to other clients. This
deletion has caused inconsistency in the system and
every time the deleted release procedure gets applied
with "Release strategy inconsistent" and system does
not show any release code or desription or status...
How do we handle this situation..I am sure some of you
might have gone thr this experience.
Your immediate help in this regards will be highly
appreciated.

How many change requests you have created for the release strategy deletion.
If more than one, please check the seqence of transport.
Transport the requests in sequence and then check.

PO release strategy based on Account Assignment Cat (CEKKO - KNTTP)

I want to configure the release strategy for PO on account assignment category.when i maintaining a characteristic for account assignment cat by inputing CEKKO- KNTTP , sys throughs error message. I looked in to CEKKO but I could not find the field .Kindly tel how maintain teh same .

Hi Kumar,
Account Assignment Category and Item Category belong to the item level and not to the header level of a purchase order (table EKPO). Therefore,   neither Account Assignment Category nor Item Category are available in CEKKO.As work-around you can use the following user-exit:
MM06EF0S_STRATEGIE_CEKKO
(enhancement M06E0004, EXIT_SAPLEBND_002, ZXM06U22).
In this user-exit the data are available in structure I_CEKKO.   The hand-over from I_CEKKO to the calling program is via structure E_CEKKO.   In the user-exit I_CEKKO has to be copied to E_CEKKO , e.g.
E_CEKKO = I_CEKKO.

SAP - Release strategy Characteristics Default Value Usage

Hi,
I am currently working on Release strategy where in I wanted to set the Default Values for the Characteristics. However, Even though I have flagged the Default values, system it is not defaulting the same.
Secondly, I tried to use Option CL20N Where the value are apper, but when I Save, It is not stored.
I wanted to know, Is there any setup need to be done for default value or is some thing I am Missing out.
Please Let me know ASAP

Maintain the default values in char itself.
Goto CT04 enter your char and in Value tab enter all your default values which will be defaulted while char selection in release startegy.
Note untill the char values are not checked during assigning class and release startegy in CL24N they will not be saved.

How to get Characteristic Values assigned to the line item of Sales Order?

Hi,
I want to get the Characteristic Values( Variant Configuration )assigned to First Line Item of Sales Order.
I was using the Fn. Mod.: VC_I_GET_CONFIGURATION_IBASE,
this fn. mod. giving all the Characters but not the assigned characteristic values.
Is there any other way to find characteristic values of sales order.

Troubleshoot Error - Unable to perform table-based value assignment config

After to creating class, characteristics, and value assignment type, the system is unable to perform table-based value assignment configuration. The following error is displayed:

Hi Mr. SAP,
Based on the diagnosis, you can figure out that most likely someone is already editing the customizing table or might you are not authorized..
In case if you have the access to SM12 Transaction code, kindly check if an entry present there. If yes it means the table is locked and you can't proceed on that. you have to reach out to the specific resource to unlock the table who did a lock, else you need to reach out to BASIS to make that entry delete.
Regarding authrization for locking of table, please check SU53 after the execution of the T-code, if you are missing any role. If you find anything there, then reach out to your Security team to get and assigned roles to your profile.

Hi,
The multiple values assigment allows you to select more than one value using the Checkbox.
just enable the multiple values option and give the list of values in the Values tab.
add this Characteristics to a Class.
Add this class to a document.
Create a document (DIR) in that Additional data tab you can find the characteristics and that allows you to provide more than one value.

Error in entering a new characteristic value using input ready row in WAD

Hi Guys,
I have created input ready query with input ready row option to enter both characteristic and key figure values. I have created info object without master data tick in Master data/text tab to enter free text which inturn will create a new record in master data. It is working in Bex analyzer, here I can enter any value to create a new entry in the master data but where as in WAD I am getting error message reading invalid values. In WAD I am restricted to choose only available master data entries. Do I miss any settings in WAD. Your help will be highly appreciated.

the feature you are requesting is called "Master Data Planning". Unfortunately it is not supported by SAP. Please use the term "master data planning " to search this forum and you will find some threads about this issue.

Error : create release strategy

define release procedure for po-> release strategies->classification->purchase organization i gave value 7,it changes to red colour error is inconsitent.
any one answer for this error .

check whethar you have 7 as purchase organisation or not.
Go to table T024E and check EKORG is 4 chacater field
it might be 0007 .
also in ct04, for chacaterstics for pur org, go to additional data
CEKKO - EKORG is manained for not.
