PO release strategy based on Account Assignment Cat (CEKKO - KNTTP)
Hi Experts,
I want to configure the release strategy for PO on account assignment category.when i maintaining a characteristic for account assignment cat by inputing CEKKO- KNTTP , sys throughs error message. I looked in to CEKKO but I could not find the field .Kindly tel how maintain teh same .

Hi Kumar,
Account Assignment Category and Item Category belong to the item level and not to the header level of a purchase order (table EKPO). Therefore, neither Account Assignment Category nor Item Category are available in CEKKO.As work-around you can use the following user-exit:
MM06EF0S_STRATEGIE_CEKKO
(enhancement M06E0004, EXIT_SAPLEBND_002, ZXM06U22).
In this user-exit the data are available in structure I_CEKKO. The hand-over from I_CEKKO to the calling program is via structure E_CEKKO. In the user-exit I_CEKKO has to be copied to E_CEKKO , e.g.
E_CEKKO = I_CEKKO.

KumarYou can set Release strategy based on Material group & other Line item specific fields..
You better follow a suitable and hinder less process..
For PR use Material group & Account Assignment based Release process..
then for PO use a Release Process based on Header level fields like Doc type, Amount, pur Group etc..
So that the approved PR line can be converted into PR and then the PO also subjected to Release before sending it to External Vendor..
Even if you want you can make that the PO can not be created without referencing PR for SOme users or All users..
based on your business requirement.. -
Release strategy based on costcentre for PR

I want to add Cost Centre as my release criteria in the existing release strategy . Presently I have Purchase grp and amount as my release criteria . Pls advise me how to proceed on this . Kindly also let me know how the user can be mapped to cost centres for approval as the user wants to have different approvers for different cost centres. We have searched for the authorisation obj for cost centre but could not get mor information .Pls help .

Option-1:
You can create release characteristics with field KOSTL and add this characteristic with release class with other release characteristics. And you can design your release strategy based on requirement & then limit the cost center via authorization object K_REPO_CCA
Option-2:
Create Purchasing Group (OME4) as Department & assign the department to Cost center(KS02/KS01). Now create purchasing group as release characteristics with field EKGRP add this characteristic with release class with other release characteristics. And now you can design your release strategy based on requirement.

I like to set the Purchase order release strategy based on the over delivery tolerance. But when i checking, the over delivery tolerance filed UEBTO is not in the communication structure CEKKO. Can you please help me how should i extend the CEKKO with field UEBTO.
I do not have the ABAP experience, please guide me with coding.

You should request the development key for this structure under your SAP system, then you can add the extra fields in CEKKO.

We have PO release strategy based on net order value.
If we make the release strategy based on effective price then what would be the impact? What r the risk factor involved?

Net order value is known ie we give value for the characteristicex: RS.100000 or 1 crore etc, but effective price is unknown how can we mention that a charactristic value? I dont understand

PR Release Strategy for Account assignment cat "U"
Is it possible to set up release strategy for Acct assignment Cat "U" - if yes, How would it be configured? additionally we are also setting up Rel str for acct assign cat K and A - specific question is relative to "U" in addition to K and A.

When you creating PR with acct assignment U, the acct. assignment tab will not appear, thus
you not able to enter cost center. You may try this workaround via customizing.
a) You may define a <BLANK> value for the cost center in customizing and assign it to your release strategy.
Characteristic:

<BLANK>
b) You may use user exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_001 and pass the dummy cost center to get the release strategy
determine.

Release strategy based on Total landed cost
Dear Friends
My client has the following requirement.
Release strategy should be triggered based onthe Total Landed cost which include taxes, insurance, octroi and freight.
we tried with the user exit but could not achieve the target as the Total landed cost is nowhere updated inthe EKPO table.Help inthis regard is appreciable.

While defining characteristics please link up to standard dictionary i.e.
Cost Center CEBAN - KOSTL
Item Value CEBAN - GSWRT.
If you want account assignment also a controlling paramenter, then define Acc Assgnmt as a characterstic and assign the same to the class.
Assign these characteristics to a class.

GR-Non valuated flag is checked when using Order as account assignment Cat
Hi,
We are creating a Purchase Req using a Work order, but under the valutaion tab GR-non Valuated is checked and greyed out so the user can't uncheck it. I want user to select just the Goods Receipt Check but not GR-Non Val.
I already chekced the configuration in OME9 and both are not checked . Also we are not using multiple accout assignment there is only one account assignment element which is that Work order number.
please advice...
thank you!what is the account assignment category in your PR? if it is coming as checked by default then somebody must have ticked it in SPRO-MM-Pur-account assignment-Maintain Account assignment categories---there select your relevant account assignment category and you will see GR Non Val indicator TICKED, if you don't want it to be dafult in PR , remove it.
But first check why it has been ticked there , it is possible that based on business need all servies / stock purchase under that acnt *** cat need not to be valuated.

in enhacement SAPMF02D you can check if the right recon. account is selected, however you cannot change, but you can issue an error message.

Default the GR based IV check in PO based on account assignment category
Hi Experts,
We have the below business requirement based on GR based IV check in the PO. We knows that this can be automatically defaulted by using the two master records.
1.Vendor master,
2.Purchase info record.
But our cilents needs this field to be automated based on the account assignment category. Because lot of vendors are created without the activiation of this check box also they do not want to go by mass upload transaction to change the master records.
They want only based on the account assignement category. For example if a PO is created using the account assignement K then this GR based IV is selected automatically.
Kindly adivce any configuration setting is available to fullfill this requiremennt.Hi,
unfortunately the GR based IV can not be set in OME9 (in customizing).
In ME21N, if it is normal PO, GR Based IV indicator is not set. But if
item category = D, GR Based IV indicator is automatically set by
system.

Procedure
Choose Inconsistencies to see what triggered the inconsistency. You can also use the explanation facility for more information.
Delete the values that triggered the inconsistency.
You can only change or delete a value or value set that has already been used to classify objects if you delete the existing allocations.

Inconsistency due to different "VALUE" in the Release Strategy & "VALUE" present in the Release Characteristics . Check details with value assignment with designed Strategies.
Also keep following VALUE Release Characteristics for value

instead of (0,00 - 1000,00 USD,1001,00 - 2000,00 USD,2001,00 - 10000,00 USD )

Release Strategy based on Attached PO scanned Image
Hi experts,
Can u please let me know if i can configure Release Strategy for PO based on the attachement. If possible i would insist on configuring the same using characteristics instead of Customization.
When I have tried to do so I beleive there are two custom feilds allowed for Characteristics configuration but unfortunately both the custom classification parameters are already utilized. namely USRC1, USRC2.
Please suggest.

But how do you plan to configure release strategy on what is attached in PO? Do you use DMS for this purpose or use GOS?

ME51/ ME21 screen control based on account assignment
Hi,
Previously there was an addition of one field name PARTNER in account assignment category pop-up screen. I did not find out how this field has been added in the pop-up screen. I checked for all customization as well as functional modules but nothing was there. This PARTNER field is enable for Tcode- ME51/ ME21. Requirement is to enable it for enjoy transaction ME51N/ ME21N but only for a particular account assignment category.
Can anyone help me where is the screen control for the pop-up screen based on Tcodes and only for a particular category.
Note:
This field is enable for Z and not for K.

i am sorry to say this, but i feel that there may be some typo mistake in the question that you have asked.
just for clarification, i am asking whether do you want to know about the Account Assignment category M or Item Category M.
Normally standard account assignment categories are A, K, P, F, C, U, etc. & standard Item Categories are <blank>, B, K, L, M<material unknown>, D, etc.
In case you are asking regarding the Account assignment category M, then i am sorry, as that must have been defined specifically to your requirements. Hence you need to check the details in the configurations of account assignment category (IMG>Materials Management>Purchasing>Account Assignement>Maintain Account Assignment Categories .. select the AAC M & fo to details)
But in the other case, Standard Item Category M is used for entering items without specifying the material number.
Item category M is recommended for similar materials with the same price but with differing material numbers.
Consider a contract item for different types of office paper. The various types of paper have the same weight, quality, and price. However, they differ in the following respects: One type is lined, another is unlined, and another has two holes on the left side for filing purposes.
How Do You Use Item Category M?
In the case of items of category M, you enter the short text (short description), target quantity, unit of measure, and price. As soon as a contract release order is created, the material number or a short text is entered (e.g. the exact type of paper, say, two-hole punched). The system determines the net price on the basis of the gross price entered, less any discounts.

Alternative for account assignment cat F

In standard system, the account assignment for general is configured as F.
I wish to use different account determination for project material and services.
Is it OK if i change this standard AAC 'F' with N or any customized one with dedicated account modifier? I am convinced but looking for experts comments.
I do not understand why the cat 'F' is given in stead of standard 'N'.
