Error messages in Pl Sql developer are in those funny characters

Hi,
Can someone help me on how to change the erroe messages to english in Pl Sql developer? when I run a query in pl sql developer the error messages gives the error code and those characters.

Hi,
I've created a PL/SQL process source (on load - before header) which counts the records of a table.
If the number of records is 1 or less the values of the table are to be inserted in the text fields of my HTML form. If there is more than one record in the table I'd like to display an error message that the text fields can't be edited. How can I realize this error message in PL/SQL?

1.) Create a hidden item on your page.
2.) In your Page Rendering PL/SQL Process add logic which assigns 'EDIT' or 'NO_EDIT' to the hidden item.
3.) Create a "Message" HTML region which conditionally displays based of the value of your hidden item being 'NO_EDIT'.
4.) Make your edit field conditionally Read Only based on the value of your hidden item being 'NO_EDIT'.
There may be an easier way but I got this to work

Error ORA-28534 in sql developer

I have an insert to a remote SQLServer database via database link. One of the inserted values is a TO_DATE function. In SQL Developer i get the ORA-28534. But in TOAD or the SQLPLUS the insert works fine.
Database is 10.2.0.4. Sql server is 2005 accessed through oracle gateway for ODBC and easysoft ODBC driver.
Anyone knows why would this error appear only in SQL developer?

28534. 00000 - "Heterogeneous Services preprocessing error"
*Cause: One of the things that the Heterogeneous Services can do is
to preprocess parts of SQL statements that contain implicit
coercions or calls to explicit coercion functions like TO_CHAR
TO_NUMBER or TO_DATE. For example, it could convert a call to
TO_DATE to a bind variable, pre-evaluate the TO_DATE function
call and pass the resulting value to the non-Oracle system as
the bind value. This behavior is controlled by some coercion
related capabilities. If the capabilities are set incorrectly,
the HS could encounter errors when it attempts to do the
preprocessing. If it does then this error will be signaled.
*Action: The capability table settings are controlled by the agent
vendor and can be modified by the DBA. Contact your DBA and
agent vendor and get the correct set of capabilities installed.

If the code is correct, and when submitted by one client successfully and not by another client, it is reasonable to assume that one client is using different settings/environment/configuration than the other.
And the error you've posted seems to indicate this too.

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

I have had numerous people call and ask why I didn't reply to their texts...and I look, but have not received any new texts. YES, I have restarted phone. I have cleared data as well as cache on all apps. I have downloaded the vzw messaging app, which seems silly, since it happens with several different processes and apps, but all to no avail. I am missing texts from my employer, from my family. This did happen, but rarely, before this "soak test". It is now Kitkat version 19.6.3.obake_verizon.en.US. THIS is when I started having problems...like 50 times a day kind of problems! I have seen hundreds of posts all over the internet over the past 3 days. Does no one know how to fix this??? Shouldn't there be a way to revert phone to a pre-update state? and no, hard reset did NOT work!!!! I have been with verizon for well over 15 years, but I have not upgraded my lines and will not in July either. This is ridiculous. It's not like my games aren't working, it is my messaging and "android os"...my lifeline at work!

Oh no, I am sorry to hear your messages are not working since the software update. I greatlly appreciate doing all that troubleshooting to try and get the messaging application back in business. I know how much I rely on my messages so I can understand the urgency to get this resolved. Have you had a resolution ticket opened since you started experiencing issues with your messages? Does this happen with all contacts or just some? Please provide additional information to ensure we get to the bottom of this for you.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I was thinking that some of the songs in your library may have been purchased under a different apple id. You have already done the first thing I would have done by de authorizing and re authorizing. To verify this, highlight one of the songs that will not sync over and use File>Get Info. In the Summary section there will be an Apple ID entry. If it shows something different than what you are currently using then I recommend signing into the Apple ID it shows and authorizing the computer for that one as well.

Getting error message "Could not create work area" when I open Bridge CC.

I am getting an error message "Could not create work area" when I open Bridge CC.
I have reset my workspace. I have closed and opened Bridge CC. I have deleted the !!-$$$AdobeOutputModule.workspace file in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC/Workspaces folder.
I am not an expert computer user, so please explain in detailed steps like I am 5 years old. Thanks in advance for any help.

Acrobat X, error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use"

Recently updated to Acrobat X. After saving a pdf, if I try to delete a page or pages, I get an error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use". I have to close acrobat and reopen my document to continue deleting pages. Is there a fix for this? So far, I think Acrobat 7 was better that X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What OS are you using? Ive read that preview pane in windows vista and 7 causes an issue with the delete page feature. The suggestion was generally to turn the preview feature off.

30EA3 SQL Developer 3 error message while migrating SQL sever database

I was mirating a SQL sever 2005 database to Oracle 11g, and got the following error message during the process:
"Migration action have failed. Check the migration reports for Detail. :null".
After the error message, I could see the "Captured Database Objects" and "Converted Database objects" under the "Migration Projects". However, if I open the generated scripts, it only contains the fowlloing, nothing else:

Hi Bob,
The next thing in the generation script should have been the definition of the sqlserver_utilities package.
This package emulates some of the system functions found in SQL Server.
It gets placed into your converted model as the very last step of the conversion.
Building the generation script (where your failure happened) is straight forward and I wouldn't expect an error here.
I would guess something went wrong during the capture or conversion and is only surfacing during the generation phase when it tried to write the sqlserver_utilities package to the generation file.
I could be wrong, but I would manually check that conversion completed successfully first.
1) Browse you converted model under
Migration Projects "Nav" : Projects > YourProjectName > YourModelName(default a date)> Converted Database Objects > Procedures > YourProcName
a) Are there any red crosses on any of these nodes in your navigator ?
b) If you right click on a converted database name is "reconvert" grayed out or available?
c) run the following in the SQL Worksheet against the same connection you used for the migration repository
select * from md_packages;
Is there one row there with the definition of sqlserver_utilities in its package_header and native_sql columns?
Also do you have anything in the capture issues, conversion status or conversion issues reports (double click you project and the migration reports should pop up on the right hand side, each report a separate tab) ?
Just trying to pinpoint what happened here.

Error opening Georaptor on SQL Developer 1.5

Hello Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has been able to use the Georaptor extension (http://georaptor.sourceforge.net) with SQL Dev 1.5? The geoRaptor menus come up, but so far I have not been able to add any "Add Layer" to the Spatial view. The menu options to Verify geometries and to Update User_sdo_metadata tables seem to be working OK. No error messages come up on the GUI environment, it just does nothing when using the add layer option.
I get the following error during startup:

Ok its working again... Initial build of SQL Developer 1.5 (5338) was not showing the geom layers on the georaptor....
I am happy to report that with SQL Developer 1.5.1 (5440) Georaptor layers on the Spatial view are working again.
