Error msg: Usage: jinstall URL of configuration file

I'm totally out of my depth. I'm simply trying to print postage paid mailing labels at the usps.com website, but have been directed to install a javascript in order to print.
It says to download from http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-windows-i586.cab which I have done.
I put that on my desktop & extracted files to /mydocuments/mydownloads/javascriptfromusps (a directory I created). Now I've got jinstall.exe. When double clicking on that, or by using the 'run' function from the start button on Windows XP, I receive the following error message.
Usage: jinstall <URL of configuration file>
If anyone can offer any insight it would be most appreciated. I have an overnight package delivery that must go out (in fact it is now late), & my supervisor is none too happy.

I'm not sure what is happening - the URL that you give is usually for automated download and install of the Sun Java virtual machine/plug-in. Manual installs of that item are usually done from here: http://java.com/en/index.jsp (and then click on "Get It Now")
If you wish, post the address (and what to do) of the USPS webpage so that someone can take a look and maybe explain.

Based on the link below, it is Java plugin that has to be installed and not javascript...

You should get prompted to download and install Java plugin - accept the prompt and follow installer instructions. Then go back to USPS web site and try printing labels.

HTTPService URL from configuration file?

Hello,
I have a need/requirement to use some type of configuration file for my FLEX builds. Right now I manually build my FLEX app.
It would be nice to configure the URL for all HTTPService objects in an XML file, but I am unsure where that file would reside or what the XML structure should look like.
I have looked at Flashbuilder4 Bible book but it doesnt cover much.
Does anybody know of any good examples, tutorials, books, code links, demos, etc that show how to configure data access for a FLEX project?? Preferably in XML?
I am a little lost in this area and any help or direction is appreciated.

What I need is a way to rebuild my application to point to a different server. Easily.
I have solutioned this using an XML file.
I ended up doing something similar to this guy:

I created a folder, outside of the "src" folder, called "settings". In it, there is an XML file, I named it "webserviceconfig.xml".
"webserviceconfig.xml" looks like this:

Now I am able to reference this all over my application:

Now my application server URL is configurable and I no longer need to hardcode that anywhere in my application, except my XML configuration file.
I am glad to finally get this monkey off my back.

Error Msg Help Can't Save PSD Files

This is the error msg its giving me,
Could not save file.psd because you do not have the necessary access privileges.
I own PS4 and every plugin in the system. Can't anyone help me out?
Mac OS 10.6 PS4 with latest updates and all I was doing was working a picture as normal and tried to save and quit and it wouldn't let me bummmer lost everything I did!!!!

Which Fx version? When you uninstalled Fx, did you reboot computer before reinstall?
Also, check for / delete any leftover files in the Fx programs install folders, before reinstall?
Is your profile in the default location or custom location?
Have you tried creating a new, completely clean profile - to test (then make sure to select that profile to start Fx - from the Profile Manager)? (no addons or plugins installed).
Does the user acct (that Fx fails under) have access ("rights") to all locations - especially for Fx profiles location?

Numbers error msg: "Unable to open ' .' Unknown file type."

I last updated this doc 4 days ago, saving it every time I update it. I use it to track my children's school hours throughout the year. I have since restarted my Mac. I went to open this file today, and am getting the error message, "Unable to open ' (name of file)' Unknown file type.
When I search for the doc under the spotlight, the name of it appears & it is listed as a Numbers doc, but I can't open it.
Any ideas for a work around? I haven't backed it up in several weeks, so I'll be very sad if I can't retrieve it at all!

Error Msg - "You must add the Class files for this enterprise bean"

I am creating creating new enterprise bean using j2sdkee1.2. I am able to create .ear file in desired folder, but can not create .jar. Please help. Getting above error message.
remote, home interface files and file having business logic (EJB) is compiled and kept at desired location.
j2ee server started, Deploytool is started.
Then I can successfully create new application (.ear file)
Then I go for creating new enterprise bean. I get same application name in Drop down list named "Enterprise Bean will go in".
Then I can add home, remote and ejb class file to create jar ("Add" under "Contents" ).
When I say ok after adding these 3 files, I am getting error - "You must add the Class files for this enterprise bean".
In the deploytool console, getting error - "java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\2sdkee1.2\mahesh\ConverterEJB.class (The system cannot find the path specified) "
Can you please help me where to configure the path?

While deleting the virtual machine .vhd folder -- error msg : the process cannot access the file beacuse it is being used by another process

When i am trying to delete the Virtual Machine folder/directory i get the below error. Virtual machine is turned off

Also, if your VM has snapshots and you delete it, you must wait for the snapshots to finish merging - the VHD files will be locked until then.

As you mentioned the error msg occurred to the secedit.sdb file,
Please follow the actions below:
1. Delete file: secedit.sdb from c:\Windows\security\database
2. Reboot machine.
3. Run the command again: secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb
/verbose
4. Reboot machine.
5. Run Gpupdate /force
6. Check your new GPO Settings.
Notice for any changes.

ServletRunnerInfo not found in configuration file

I'm getting the following error message
ServletRunnerInfo not found in configuration file
for a servlet that I've never changed. The servlet was written by another developer sometime last year and it seems to have stopped working correctly over a month ago.
I've checked the XML files and both have entries for the servlet. Anyone have an idea of how to resolve this?

Sounds like an init parameter definition might be missing from the within this servlets definition in the web.xml file. Might need something like:
<init-param>
<param-name>ServletRunnerInfo</param-name>
<param-value>Something or other config information</param-value>
</init-param>You could tell if the init() method of the actual servlet asks for:
config.getInitParameter("ServletRunnerInfo"));Then that is the problem for sure. Otherwise ... ????

Error msg keep posting up when connecting to itunes

I just received my ipod nano today. I was trying to upload song into it but then i keep having the error msg saying one of my required file are missing. It keep disconnect me and then when i can load the song, only two songs was in then error msg pop up again. can anyone help me on it?
