Error - required resource was unavailable

I am using adobe designer and about two times an hour, it will just crash. Sometimes it crashes and doesn't specify and just closes and sometime i get error message that says "unknown bravo error" and when i hit ok i get another error "a required resource was unavailable" and then it just crashes. I keep loosing all my work. The way i work now is after a add one line to my form, i have to hit save. I am not doing anything out of the ordinary, but i am adding around 20 or so radio button lists? Is that too many for a form to handle?
I am going to contact adobe soon but i wanted to try this free option first.
Thanks.

I installed Designer on W2000 without problems.
The program would start and would show me the initial splash screen but would then crash out, giving me the ""resource was unavailable" error message.
I increased the paging file size from 350 MB to 720 MB, and then the program started up as it should.

  • Startup error required resources are missing

Heyelp!! I purchased CS 5.5 for my new mac running OSX 10.7.3 installed CS5.5 and it is wonderful. Problem is I prefer Dreamweaver 3 because of the frames thing, so, I thought I would reinstall CS3 and just add Dreamweaver 3, problem is when I do it reads Startup Error, required resources are missing, so, I decided to call Adobe. The response was "we no longer provide support for 3, if you cannot find a solution on the forum there is nothing you can do." Well, $1300 doesn't get you much these days, so Dear Forum readers, any possibility of a leg up here? Thankyou!!

  • Hard drive error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup

I tried upgrading my hard drive on my 13" MacBook Pro (mid-2010)  to a solid state drive.  When I did, I encountered a problem where I could not boot from my internal drive.
It boots fine from the external drive that I used to clone my old HHD.
When I run repair disk in disk utility I get an error:
Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map
Error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup.
Running repair disk on the external drive returns no errors.
My first thought was I have a bad SATA cable.  After replacing the SATA cable, I am still having the problem.
Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?  SATA Connector on the motherboard failed?
    Thanks in advance.

I formatted it a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using the Erase function in Disk Utility then copied the contents of my HD using Restore in Disk Utility.  It seemed to copy all of the contents correctly.  It boots from the external drive.
The problem starts when I put it in the computer and try to boot internally.  It will not boot.  Also, my old HD will also not boot internally now either.

  • Re: Trying to install DW CS3 on new Mac, get this message:Startup error,Required resources are missing

    Hello,
I am reading your thread here and I am having problems reinstalling CS3 after I did a migration from old iMac to new iMac (which rendered the installed CS3 unusable). I have "required resources are missing" error message when trying to reinstall from purchased CD. Please suggest how to help. thanks,

Cyntlee33 the simplest option is to restore your new computer back to a clean install of Mac OS 10.7.  Then use the migration assistant again to move over only documents and settings.
Your other option, which might end up expending a lot of additional time if it fails, would be to try using the CS5 cleaner tool to attempt to remove the files which were transferred over by the migration assistant.
I would highly recommend the first option.  During my time with support some of the most difficult issues I have dealt with were from users who used some type of migration utility and then their software did not perform properly on the new computer.

  • ITunes 8.0 installation error --- network resource is unavailable / .msi

    Hello.
When I was trying to install the latest version of iTunes I found an error message saying the following:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below."
Yet, when I search my entire computer I cannot find any file named iTunes.msi.
To further the problems, I cannot uninstall iTunes because it is prompting me with the exact same message I typed out above.
I am also unable to open the iTunes program because of this same problem. I cannot access iTunes, yet I see it in my program files directory.
Oh, and after that message above appears, I click cancel and this message shows up:
"The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."
    What does this all mean?
    Please help!

When you get messages about network resources and missing msi files, it usually means you need the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility.
Here is a method for removal of iTunes with clean up and reinstall.
    == uninstall with cleanup ==
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program. The installer doesn't give any message to confirm the installation.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
(To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install)
Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
*If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry*, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
When you get to deleting Quicktime files in the system32 folder as advised in the method, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed – you should find entries the programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
    restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes.

  • Rctl exceeded "fork: Resource temporarily unavailable"

We experienced some unexpected virtual memory behavior on two new
T1000s so started looking into various resources settings. After
turning on logging using rctladm we started getting messages every few
minutes about various resources being exceeded. We then used projmod
to set the various limits as shown below but continue to get the
syslog messages as if the values had not been set. The processes that
are showing excesses are typically running programs such as nfsmapid,
ncsd, or our own applications, none of which are likely to actually be
exceeding the indicated resources. In fact, pfile indicates that
there are at most about 20 file descriptors of any sort in use by any
    of these processes.

    resources with normal system programs?
    2) Why does the setting of new process.max-file-descriptor not appear
to affect the limits of new processes in the project?
    3) Could any of this be related to the original problem we are having
that one can allocate memory only up to the point that physical memory
is almost full at which point the allocation slows down to almost
nothing and other processes get the error "fork: Resource temporarily
    unavailable"?

    How many process currently running
The process statistics utility, prstat, shows us a top-level summary of the processes that are using system resources. The prstat utility summarizes this information every 5 seconds by default and reports the statistics for that period.
The -L option causes prstat to show one thread per line instead of one process per line.
How many process running for per user
Again you can use prstat with the below option .
    -u euidlist
Report only processes whose effective user ID is in
the given list. Each user ID may be specified as
either a login name or a numerical user ID.
No. of opened files for per process.
A list of files open within a process can be obtained with the pfiles command.
Total no. of opened files for all process.
Try running lsof as root . One open file is displayed per line and, unless you specify otherwise, all open files from all processes are displayed.
    No. of process limit
    Check out this link :
    http://blogs.sun.com/hasham/entry/solaris_10_increasing_number_of
    No. of open file limit
Each process has a hard and soft limit for the number of files it can have opened at any time; these limits are administered through the Resource Controls infrastructure by process.max-file-descriptor . Limits can be viewed with the prctl command.
    $ prctl -n process.max-file-descriptor $$
    process: 21471: -ksh
NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    process.max-file-descriptor
    basic 256 - deny 21471
    privileged 65.5K - deny -
    system 2.15G max deny -
If no resource controls are set for the process, then the defaults are taken from system tuneables; rlim_fd_max is the hard limit, and rlim_fd_cur is the current limit (or soft limit). You can set these parameters systemwide by placing entries in the /etc/system file.
    set rlim_fd_max=8192
    set rlim_fd_cur=1024
The limits can be set from the shell also using the limit/ulimit commands.

  • Android MS RDP - RPC Error: Your connection was denied because of a Resource Access Policy (TS_RAP). Please contact your server administrator. (2147965402).

I love iTap Mobile.  Paid for the app.  Sorry to see them discontinue it, but now I know why.  Microsoft bought them out!  But even though free, I am getting an error: RPC Error: Your connection was denied because of a Resource Access
Policy (TS_RAP). Please contact your server administrator. (2147965402).  I worked with iTap to fix this so I guess they sold Microsoft their older buggy code...  Microsoft, please fix!
PS: This is the Android version.  Mac and iOS are both okay.
EDIT:  After an update a few months ago, iOS is no longer working.  Not sure if the problem is related to the Android MSRDP issue.
UPDATE - Relevant posts (need Android RDP software engineer to fix):
Event Viewer Log when using Android client:
    The user
"DOMAIN\testuser", on client computer "10.x.x.x", met connection authorization policy requirements and was therefore authorized to access the RD Gateway server. The following authentication method was used: "NTLM". (This
is most likely for logging into RD Web - icons shows up).
    The
user "DOMAIN\testuser", on client computer "10.x.x.x", did not meet resource authorization policy requirements and was therefore not authorized to resource"localhost".
The following error occurred: "23002".  (This is after clicking on any
    of the icons).
    I
think the Android MS RDP client is providing the incorrect resource.  It shouldn't be "localhost".
It should be the RD Connection Broker's hostname, I believe.
Here's what it should look like (connected using a Windows PC going
through the RD Web portal via Internet Explorer):
The user "DOMAIN\testuser", on client computer "10.x.x.x", met connection
authorization policy requirements and was therefore authorized to access the RD Gateway server. The following authentication method was used: "NTLM".
The user "DOMAIN\testuser", on client computer "10.x.x.x", met resource
authorization policy requirements and was therefore authorized to connect to resource "rdsfarm.domain.com".
The user "DOMAIN\testuser", on client computer "10.x.x.x", connected
    to resource "rdsfarm.domain.com".
    Stephan,
Do you have any way to contact the software engineer who worked on the Android version of the RDP client?  Please
have them read this thread.  They need to fix the hard coded "localhost" resource to be a variable (namely whatever the user put in for the server).
This is why the MS RDP app is failing in situations where the FQDN for the RD Gateway and Connection Broker uses
    the same host name.
Again, this is not a configuration problem on our end as it works as intended with the native Windows RDP client
as well as the Mac and iOS version of the mobile RDP client (all based on iTap Mobile's RDP app).
This is a problem specific to the Android RDP app.
PS: No matter how hard I try, the WYSIWYG editor is not very WYSIWYG at all, and so everything here looks messed up even though it looked right when I posted it (it is deleting new blank lines I'm inserting to make it spaced out and easier to read). See
below to read the post in context.

Thanks for the bumps, everyone.  I haven't check this thread in a while because I basically gave up on Microsoft's ability to respond.  Unlike paid apps, there's no number to call or ticket to open when an app like this malfunctions.
Just to give you an update, iOS users started having issues connecting a few months ago.  I don't remember what version started this.  I'm not sure if it's the same problem.
Also, the newest version now gives a slightly different error message:  RpcOverHttpEndpointException: 2, Your connection was denied because of a Resource Access Policy (TS_RAP).  Please contact your server administrator.
For Android users, I am starting to recommend Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client.  It's a paid app, but it works great.  I don't know of any alternative for iOS.
MSRDP for Mac OSX (was also an iTap application) continues to work throughout the many updates.
We need a software engineer from MS to read my first post.  All the information that will point to a fix is there.  I strongly believe someone hardcoded the string "localhost" instead of using a variable to point to the FQDN of the rdsfarm
    name.
Here's that info again (copied/pasted).  It doesn't take an engineer to understand the issue.  If you know how to decipher Event Logs, you can see where the problem is.

I am trying to authorize my computer and I get an error message: The required directory was not found or has a permissions error. Correct this permissions problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permissions cannot be changed. Help?

I used Terminal to change the permissions on the folder in question.  I followed the instructions in this article:
iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization
In my case, the folder was there, so I needed the command to change permissions on the folder, not to create one.   I was hesitant to use Terminal b/c I know that if I made an error I could wipe out my hard drive or render my computer unusable.  So to be SURE I didn't make an error, I carefully copied the command from that page and *pasted* it into Terminal.  Also, before I could do anything in Terminal, I had to go change my admin password (it had been a blank password before and that's not acceptable for making changes in Terminal).  I was just super careful when entering my password or doing anything else while Terminal was open (making sure I didn't accidently hit the spacebar or another key, etc.)  And it fixed the problem right away.
What was confusing for me was that the iTunes error message said to change permissions in the FINDER, which is what I was trying to do.  It didn't mention Terminal.  What would really be helpful is if Apple included a link to a page like this in their error message.

  • Error while trying to restore - "Resource was not found"

I just got a replacement for my old 60GB color Ipod.
I plug it in to restore to make it compatible for windows, and this is what I get:
"THERE WAS A PROBLEM DOWNLOADING THE iPOD SOFTWARE FOR THE iPOD. THE REQUESTED RESOURCE WAS NOT FOUND".
That's the error message that comes on when I try to restore.
I am using the brand new iTunes.

    Thanks for the reply.
I did try and changed it several times but that didn't work. After about 4 hours of trying and disconnecting and removing deamon tools like someon suggested, i got it to be read, only to tell me that it is corrupt and that it needs to be restored.
After many tries again, i managed to restore it and start from scratch. It is currently working fine as I am loading it up with music. But if I disconnect it, that's it. No way to add any more new music, which completely *****.
I dont even know what I can do by now, and I dont see what could be the problem.
