Hi Eyal,
We're aware of this one - we hit a glitch last night with the reporting
servers and had to take them down for maintenance. They should be back up
later today.

Hi,
I know this is the common/generic error message, following is our scenario:
We installed BPC NW 7.5 on our production box and configured F5 load balancing for two .NET servers.
We are getting the error "EVDRE encountered error retrieving the data from web Server"when we run the report EVDRE on APSHELL (original Appset). This is the fresh installation:
The workaround "Clear Local application information". Even this works only sometimes.
Is there anything else we should have configured on using two .NET servers?

hi Nagesh sorry for the delayed reply..
We changed some of the parameters at F5 switch like sticky time, timeout..
And the MDXPARSER connection to one of out application server was failling, thats why we did not had this issue consistently.
When ever the request goes to that app server fails. It took a lot effort to notice this since we were assuming the F5 switch was only causing the issue.

HY000 error retrieving CLOB-data from oracle database via ODBC

Hello,
I get error HY000 [Oracle][ODBC][ORA] ORA-00932: inconsistent datatype when I want to show a CLOB column in my crystal report. The type of the field in the report is memo - in the database it is CLOB.
How to retrieve CLOB-data from an Oracle 11GR2 database via ODBC in Crystal Report Version 12.3.0.601?

Execute t-sql before retrieving report data

Hi,
Is there a way to execute t-sql, with the connection from within the report, before the report retrieves it's data?
I need this to initialize the connection's context_info.
After searching the web I have found a solution to my problem which is instead of using a View, use a stored procedure which takes care of initializing the context_info and return the result of the view.
Is there any other solution using crystal reports XI (sp none)?

Download the service Pack or upgrade to CR XI R2 ( 11.5 ) for free and use your XI keycode to install it.
Only other way would be to possibly use a SQL Expression, it may work. Only one data source can be used if using an expression.

Error retrieving Report from omniture servers

Anyone having analytic problems at the mo?

My formatting gets lost and the message looks unintelligible. After some experimentation, I found that if the message exceeds some length, the formatting is removed. Since I couldn't find any way to delete this post, I made another post with the same subject. Data display error in reports

Hi,
I've a serious problem. I've developed a new database.I've imported a .dmp backup file into my user from my previous database which was same although only certain new options have been added in the new database. The problem is I'm able to view all data but when i try to retrieve old data through reports, they aren't being displayed.If i enter any new data, they are displayed through reports but not the old data that were in the .dmp files.
What could be the error?

Error retrieving data from the web server in Excel fo BPC

Hello Everybody,
I'm working with BPC v7.5 , i created some reports with the EVDRE formula and they were working perfectly.
The problem started when i created new users, that in fact have the same access profile and task profile as my user.
i started to test these new users in excel and every time i expand the report this legend appears: " EVDRE Retrying... EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server. Retrying in (X) Seconds...". After waiting a while a push cancel, then appears a window with the legend: Ev4excel Addin, Errors found retriening data.
The funny thing is that when i login back to my user everything works fine again, any idea what could be the problem? the other user have the same permissions.

very strange. Normally the member access profile must be diifferent. So it is not important the task profile but the member access profile. Can you please double check ?
If you are doing a simple EVDRE with users having problems is it working or you still have problems?

EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server

Hi,
I'm working on a presales AppSet "Demo5b".
When I create a brand-new EVDRE report on FINANCE app, there is no problem.
However, after changing to ICMATCHING app, when I type =EVDRE() on a blank sheet and press Refresh, the following message pops up.
EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server
Retrying in (??) seconds
Any idea why this happens and how it can be solved?

Hi Joost,
I have the same problem. When I try to retrieve data on an input schedule is launched that error.
I am working on an VM on MS BPC.
I am not working with cubes so the solution is not the same.
If i process all my dimensions this error does not appear any more?

Evgts Input Template Retrieving no data and shows #RFR Errors

Hi Experts,
Need opinions regarding a weird issue I am facing in BPC 5.1 version.
Details of the error :
We have the Entity Hierarchy in Rows and Accounts in Col. The Input template refreshes and brings on the existing values for the Topmost (Lowest Level) member selection in the Entity.Similar is true when the Entity member is lowest in the Hierarchy.
The template shows wierd #RFR error when selection is done for one particular Member in the Entity hierarchy.
This template is only showing #RFR for this member and refreshes for all other members.
The Report uses Basic function EVGTS to retrieve the Data and EVSND to send.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Raghav,
We also faced similar issue.
The test result tells us it is due to number of columns with EVGTS. It is not due to any particular EVGTS formula in any column.
You can try out removing EVGTS formulas in the report and add one by one and try out.
Does anyone know why number of EVGTS formulas with combination of number of columns resulting into #RFR error!

Crystal report doesnt retrieve SAP data in infoview

Hi all,
I'm using integration toolkit for SAP to read data from a function module in SAP, when I run the report on a local machine, the report works fine and I'm getting data, when I publish the report in infoview, the report works but isnt retrieving any data.
I'm running BOE XI 3.1 FP 2.7, Crystal Reports 2008 FP 2.7, Integration toolkit for SAP FP 2.7
Any ideas?

Is the integration kit installed on your BOBJ server also?
The integration toolkit is installed in BOE and it works fine with other applications (WEBi).
Do you use a fixed user name and password to get the data from the SAP back-end?
Currently, the user and password is entered in the prompt when running the report in infoview, we are usign a SAP user with SAP_ALL profile.
DO you get an error message or just a blank report?

Error while creating a new report data source in Sharepoint Document library

I installed SSRS(sql server 2012 SP1) in my sharepoint 2013 farm(single server installation).
I have installed SSRS addin for report also.
I created a document library and included the report data source content type, report builder report and report builder model content types. On click of any of these content types i get the below error.
"new Document requires a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible application and web browser. To add document to document library, click on the 'Upload' button."
I am using windows 7 64-bit operation system with Google chrome and IE 8 64 bit.
Any help would be appreciated.

Getting 401 error while creating a Report Data Source with MOSS 2010 Foundation

I have setup SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services with SharePoint 2010 Foundation in SharePoint integrated mode. SharePoint Foundation is in machine 1 whereas SQL Server 2008 R2 and SSRS Report Server are in machine 2. While configuring Reporting
Services - Sharepoint integration, I have used Authentication Mode as "Windows Authentication" (I need to use Kerberos).
My objective is to setup a Data Connection Library, a Report Model Library, and a Reports Library so that I can upload a Report Data Source, some SMDLs, and a few Reports onto their respective libraries.
While creating the top level site, "Business Intelligence Center" was not available for template selection since SharePoint Foundation is being used. I therefore selected "Blank Site" as the template.
While creating a SharePoint Site under the top level site, for template selection I again had to select "Blank Site".
I then proceeded to create a library for the data connection. Towards this, I created a new document library and selected "Basic page" as the document template. I then went to Library Settings for this newly created library and clicked on
Advanced Settings. In the Advanced Settings page, for "Allow management of content types?" I selected "Yes". Then I clicked on "Add from existing content types" and selected "Report Data Source". I deleted the existing
"Document" content type for this library.
Now I wanted to created a Data Connection in the above Data Connection library. For this when I clicked on "New Document" under "Documents" of "Library Tools" and selected "Report Data Source", I got the error "The
request failed with HTTP status
401: Unauthorized.".
Can anybody tell me why I am getting this error?
Note: I have created the site and the library using SharePoint Admin account.

PowerPivot report data refresh error Data source as SharePoint list Data Feed

Hi All,
I am facing a problem on auto refresh, the report data source is SharePoint list Data Feed, I saved it my PC desktop when I set up auto fresh it fails then I moved the SharePoint list data feed "atomsvc" file to A SharePoint Data feed library then connected
to report started a manual refresh it was success, after next schedules it failed.
Error massage:
Errors in the high-level relational engine. The following exception occurred while the managed IDbConnection interface was being used:
The network path was not found. ;The network path was not found. The network path was not found. .
A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID of '82f49f39-45aa-4d61-a15c-90ebbc5656d',
Name of 'DataFeed testingreport'. An error occurred while processing the 'Testing Report' table. The operation has been cancelled.

If you are using Claims Auth then this is a known limitation. Auto refresh only works under Classic Auth.

Report data binding error

I have created a banded report split into departments. Each
recore has a value associated with it. The report runs fine if I
dont try to sub-total each departments vale, but if I add a
calculated field to the banding, I get the following error:
Report data binding error Error evaluating expression :
textField_2 Source text : calc.Department_Total.
Variable calc.Department_Total is undefined.
The calculated field is simply the sum of the values, with an
initial value of 0 and set to reset when the group changes on the
department. I am using the same data type for the calc field as it
automatically gave for the original Value field (Big Decimal)
Any ideas?

Does anyone have any ideas about this, Its getting a bit
critical now. Has anyone else been able to do sums that calculate
on group changes?? The sum total works for the report, jusyt not
the bands. I desparate here, pulling my hair out.
