Wow - I got it to work.
I saw some posts about there being two versions of the Order booking demo. One was soademo_101310_preview.zip
and the other was soademo_101310_prod.zip.
I had been using the preview version, and I figured I would try the prod version because nothing else was working. I did everything exactly the same, and deployed each application one by one following the SOA Suite quick start guide, as I had before.
Anyway, I don't know exactly what is different between the two versions, but the prod worked.
Thanks for all those that responded!

  • SOA Suite Demo MIMEService - cannot be run/debug in this release.

    Hi,
I'm getting the error message "MimeService.bpel cannot be run/debug in this release" after opening the example project in JDeveloper and selecting "Run".
    Compilation works fine though:
Successful compilation: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
I installed the SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 and also tried it after updating to 10.1.3.3.
For JDeveloper I have tried v10.1.3.1 and v10.1.3.2
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Fabian

You can not run a BPEL process in JDeveloper, you can only deploy it to the SOA server and test it from there.

  • Solution for OPML error in SOA suite Startup (Win Vista x64 and older)

    h1. Hi Folks!
When installing SOA suite on Vista 64 bit I encountered lots of problems. One of them was the following upon starting the SOA suite:
At 33% in the progress bar, the starter gives an error, returning a question about OPMN.
Caused by: oracle.ias.opmn.optic.OpticBadConnectException: Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
Being a newbie in this field, I resisted to learn everything (Oracle as part of a course of Busines Process Integration Laboratories at the University) about the works behind the package. Unfortunately, OPMN drove me crazy for days!
The main problem for OPMN is the unability for the system to handle certain issues.
One of the issues: When in a testing environment that is unstable (i.e. a laptop) some issues occur:
    * sleep resume is not supported
    * hibernation resume is not supported
    * restart is not always working for all processes
    (tested this with XP32 & XP64 SP2; SP 3; Vista 32 and Vista 64)
The main issue is with OPMN and the services that are started and controlled through it.
A solution for our workgroup has been made:
    -create a reset.bat file
    -use the following code:
    +@echo off+
ECHO Step 1 in the server reset is running: Shutdown OPMN processes
    D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\opmn\bin\opmnctl shutdown
ECHO Please continue the reset sequence by pressing any key
    pause
ECHO Step 2 in the server reset is running: Restarting OPMN processes
    D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\opmn\bin\opmnctl startall
    END
The commands regarding ECHO and the pause break can be omitted, but for supervision it is better to see if all processes are started in working order.
Please note the absolute paths, these are from my personal setup as they are the default from the manual. Adjust if necessary.
As User Account Control (UAC) does interfere a lot with programs in Vista (32 & 64) and from SP3 also with XP, please assign administrator rights to the reset.bat file.
This solution should take care of the "OPMN (is it running?)" issue, without rebooting or cold restarting the server.

  • Business Rules Decision Service Error using SOA Suite with the WebLogic

    Hi,
We are working with Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 on WebLogic 9.2. We have some decision services that work properly on Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with Oracle Application Server. Following http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm, we have made necesary changes and deployed bpel process and deployed manually Decision Services EAR Files on Weblogic.
When we invoke decision service from BPEL proccess next error appears, Could anybody help me to knows if this is a product installation/configuration problem or there is a failure on my ear rule file?
Any help would be appreciated. Regards,

    Hi Boris,
Looks like you have not run the post upgrade script for 10.1.3.4.
You need to install SOA 10.1.3.4 Basic Installation. Then start following : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm#BHCIIBFB
You basically, first install 10.1.3.4 basic SOA install, Apply the Opatch 7337034 (HOTPLUG: SOASUITE 10.1.3.4 ON WEBLOGIC 9.2 - CHANGES FOR HOTPLUGGABILITY). Install WLS 9.2 MP3.
Now, Download the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 WebLogic Server 9.2 : patch : 7490612.
Then , Modify the following mandatory installation properties in the Weblogic_SOA10134_Base\SOADomain.properties file as per the documentation above.

  • Errors installing SOA Suite 11g

    Good morning
This is an odd error. I am installing a brand new environment for SOA-SUITE 11g on a test database before going through the pain to complete this in our development environment. I am using RCU to build the environment as instructed and am allowing RCU to handle everything but constructing the schemas. I have created the schemas manually via SQL*Plus.
This process has worked in the past so I'm at a loss for explaining these errors. In creating the SOAINFRA, I am receving the following errors:

    Hi Stephen
"I am using RCU to build the environment as instructed and am allowing RCU to handle everything but constructing the schemas. I have created the schemas manually via SQL*Plus"
Do you mean you are not running RCU utility command from D:\rcuHome\bin\rcu.cmd folder ? As far as I know, this is the supported and easiest way to create any Schemas for any SOA Middleware product like SOA, BPM, OBIEE, ODI, WebCenter etc etc. I am not sure if directly running sql scripts will work and if its possible also.
I would prefer running rcu.cmd command and provide Database SYS username, password with db details like db host, port, sid. Incase if db credentials are secret and not given to you, simply ask that DB Adminstrator to run this RCU command. Just unzip this file and run rcu.cmd and provide all the details. This do NOT need any other thing at all. Its pretty straight forward.
RCU command takes care of all the things. Create tablespaces, schemas, then create all the stuff inicluding tables, sequeneces, packages and compile them also.
Finally if you use Oracle XE 10g Edition, run one line to set this value before you run rcu.cmd -> set RCU_JDBC_TRIM_BLOCKS=TRUE
    Thanks

  • Possible to run soa suite without admin server?

    Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to run the SOA components on a managed server without the admin server running. I intended to shutdown the admin server in production but when I do that I get errors in my (managed) soa server. I believe this was possible previously. Why does it need the admin server?
    version is 10.3.3

    Hi,
do you mean in weblogic domain without running admin server you were able to run managed(soa) servers???
Without admin server how Managed servers gets start?
Though there is a concept in weblogic server called MSI mode,in that case managed servers can be running withut admin server, but very first time you have to start Admin server followed by Managed servers.
    Thanks,
    Deba

  • Error running SOA 11g Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard

    Hi,
I'm running Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard ./config.sh after a new&fresh installation of SOA 11.1.1.3.0 on standalone laptop with linux CentOS in order to create a soa_domain on WLS. All steps & tests_connections to the database rcu/soa schemas are OK, but conf wizard freezes (java 99% CPU) at the end of the procedure, when saving the domain.

    thx,
    Mihai

I understood that 11.1.1.3 installs over 11.1.1.2. I download 11.1.1.3, runInstaller of 11.1.1.3 on the same SOA_HOME as 11.1.1.2 and installer finished without errors. I'am not aware if other "things" should be installed/configured. It seems that WizzardController didn't change the version of what it writes in its logs.
(that pb with the config.sh - create domain - was present also in my 11.1.1.2 installation; that is the reason I installed the upgrade to 11.1.1.3 - just to try to resolve somehow this issue).
    thanks,
    Mihai

  • Error loading wsdl from the OSB in the SOA Suite over https

    Hi,
We are running SOA Suite 11G R1 PS2. I have created a webservice in the OSB which runs on https://soa-test.myfirm.com/schedule/service/v1. This service works fine. I can test it in the OSB and using SoapUI. Now I want to make use of it in a bpel proces in the SOA Suite so I added the webservice as external reference and pointed it to the the above url. This works...it sees the porttype and all the bindings. But when I want to deploy it, it doesnt compiles and i get the following issue:
Error(19,30): Load of wsdl "https://soa-test.myfirm.com/schedule/service/v1?wsdl" failed
Error(29,89): Cannot find Port Type "{http://www.myfirm.com/wsdl/schedule/service}ScheduleServicePortType" for "ScheduleService" in WSDL Manager
So it seems it cannot load the wsdl. I saw it might be a proxy issue but I dont use a proxy. I can see the wsdl using my browser without proxy settings.
Does anyone know why it cannot load my wsdl?
    best regards,
    H

I looked in the forum and this could be solved by adding the root CA to the trust keystore of the server. My OSB Managed Server and SOA Managed Server are on the same machine (https://sontprs201.myfirm.com:8888). This machine has a certificate of GoDaddy so i have added the GoDaddy-root and GoDaddy-intermediate as trusted certificates to my certs.jks
In the weblogic console I set both the managed servers to point to my certs.jks with the correct password and in OSB managed server i setup the SSL with the correct private key alias.
When i call the OSB service from SoapUI i get the correct 3 certificates back (GD-root, GD-intermediate, sontprs201.myfirm.com), but when I call the OSB service from BPEL I still get the error: Unable to access the following endpoint(s): https://sontprs201.myfirm.com:8888/schedule/service/v1. Unable to find valid certification path.
Does anybody know what I'm missing or how I can debug this?
    Thanks in advance!

Wenever I am starting the SOA suite a new window is popping up the default color scheme of windows 7 is getting changed, but after that this window is disappearing without showing any error. From the task manager console I can see that a javaw process is getting started, but this opmn process is not getting started.
    System configuration -
    OS : Windows7
    RAM: 2 GB
SOA Suite installation : Default (Including JDK and DataBase configuration).
If you have any resolution to this strange problem please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I would be surprised if the amount of RAM in your machine is a limiting factor...
These blog posts contain useful info when running SOA Suite with resources on the low end of the spectrum. You could also use the [BPM AMI on Amazon EC2|http://www.deltalounge.net/wpress/2010/06/soa-suite-11gr1-ps2-notes-and-blogs/] ...

  • Help needed in oracle 11g soa suite.........(BPEL Process manager)

we tried to download bpel process manager 11g but as per oracle it is under Oracle Fusion Middleware 11gR1 so we have downloaded the same also.....*
but the problem is agter installation we are not getting anuthing called oracle bpel process manager and also we are not able to run soa suite..........*
Can you please suggest how we can install the same or is there any other way so that we can run bpel process manager.*

    Hi,
    Download SOA 11.1.1.2.0 from OTN.
    1. Don't forget to download RCU (Repository Configuration Utility). It is an extractable zip folder. Extract it. Navigate to its bin folder. Invoke rcu.sh/rcu.bat. It will open RCU. Choose Create. Enter your db details. In the next screen, choose SOA Infrastructure schema. Provide a schema prefix. Default would be 'DEV'. Proceed with further steps.
    2. After installing 11gR1, navigate to your $ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
Invoke config.sh/config.cmd based on your OS. This will open the configuration wizard.
Choose create domain option. Enter the domain name. Select the templates: SOA Suite and Enterprise Manager. In the JDBC Datasources screen, enter the SOA schema information, db details. Complete the wizard. No need to customize anything else. This will create a SOA Domain.
    3. Run the setNMProps.sh/cmd from $MW_HOME/oracle_common/common/bin folder.
    4. Navigate to $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.3/server/bin. Execute startNodeManager.sh/cmd. This will start the node manager.
    5. Now navigate to your $DOMAIN_HOME. You will be able to find startWeblogic.cmd/sh file. Execute it. This will start your Admin Server.
    6. Once the server started, login to WLS Admin Console (http://host:7001/console). Navigate to Servers. Click on Control tab. Select soa_server1. Start the server.
This will start the SOA server. To test your soa is up, access the url http://host:8001/soa-infra
There is no BPEL Console/ ESB Console / OWSM console in 11g. Everything is managed from your EM. EM url would be http://host:admin_server_port/em (http://host:7001/em)

  • Is 'Repository Creation Utility' a mandatory for SOA Suite

    Hi All,
I am new to Oracle Weblogic 11g application server. I worked on Oracle 10g app server. I am very much interested in BPEL and planning to learn BPEL and SOA related concepts.
I have Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0.1, Oracle Weblogic server 10.3.2, Oracle Database 10.2.0.3 for windows vista installed in my laptop.
Now I downloaded SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0 and JDeveloper SOA Composite editor. But in the required additional software list of SOA Suite there is a requirement for *'Repository Creation Utility'*.
Can anyone provide me the link for documentation of what is this and why it is required?
I worked in BPEL on Oracle 10g and there was no such extra repository creation utility. I am very much novice in this technology and planning to learn only basic concepts of BPEL (Basic is very generalized word here. I mean using adapters, working with web services in BPEL etc.).
For these kind of basics and running SOA Suite is repository creation utility a mandatory requirement?
If yes, can I install repository creation utility with my database version of *10.2.0.3* (Because I read that repository creation utility works with 10.2.0.4 or higher)?
If no, how can i get the patchset to upgrade my database to 10.2.0.4 from 10.2.0.3.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pavan.

1--> Yes, it is mandatory to run "RCU" for installing/developing using FMW/SOA Suite 11g.
2--> You dont need to install RCU, it can be downloaded as a zip file and once you unzip it, it can be run directly.
3--> "What it is" --> At a higher level it is a bunch of scripts required to create tablespaces related to SOA/BPEL Processes. As you may know that BPEL processes are stateful processes and their states etc need to be stored in a database.
4--> Even in Oracle 10g there used to be repository, but it got installed by default and tables created in default olite database.

  • Proxy settings for SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0

    Hi,
after migrating my processes into the new SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0, one of my processes won't run anymore. This is due to missing proxy configuration.
I followed this explanation[1] which worked for the process manager 10.1.2xx but not for the SOA Suite.
I really appreciate your help and any suggestions.
    thanks,

[1] how to config the proxy of Bpel process manager(with password)

You need to go to the AS Control pages (Enterprise Manager). Click on the container that runs SOA suite (typically "home" for simple install, or "OC4J_SOA" for advanced install).
On the OC4J page, click on the "Administration" tabsheet. Click on "Server Properties".
You should find the commandline options for OC4J.
You will need to set the following options:
    -Dhttp.useProxy=true
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=<your proxyserver>
    -Dhttp.proxyPort=<your proxyport>
-Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=<any servers like localhost you don't want to run via the proxy>
