BI Publisher Report Template Error - Trial Version

I am running the trial version of BI Publisher and getting an error when attempting to create report layout using the Report Editor for version 11g Release 1(11.1.1). The choice of templates does not stay up for selection. The error in the log is "Incomplete xlst._XDONFSEPARATORS: decimal separator: null, grouping separator: null". Any idea how to correct?

BCS error:Trial balance not equals zero

When I run the task to validate the data, error message " trial balancenot equal zero" for one company code.
Any help appreciated.

I cannot understand whether you complain about the error (the error isn't appropriate) or about the reason of the error.
I didn't see the description of the situation.
You described nothing.

BCS error: Trial balanc enot equals zero

When I run the task to validate data in BCS, it says "trial balance not equals zero for one company code".
Any ideas?

Possibilities are:
01. Wrongly posting of Transactions accounts in GL a/c of Trial Balance
02. Wrongly importing the values from external files like...XLs
(Please verify the values of Negative Posting Items if any the each GL head of Trial balance Accounts)
03. Picking up of Historical Aged Trial Blance figures( uncheck the HATB) options if any, on the same CompanyCode which has been already gerated for that period.
Every GL a/c in Trial Balance account has the-- Type of Accounts(Assets or Liabi), Opening Balance, and current day transactions details (debit or credit value). the summation of opening balance, current day transactions(+/-) must be equal to closing balance of the account on that day.
just FYI:
In double-entry accounting requires the sum of all debit accounts to equal the sum of all credit accounts, a trial balance is required to verify correctness. The trial balance is a list of accounts and their balances at a point in time. When preparing a trial balance, three steps are needed:
1.You must list each account title and the amount accrued in the trial balance. If an account has a zero balance, just list it with a zero in the normal balance column.
2.Next you must calculate the total amount of the debit balance, as well as, the total credit balance.
3.Last you verify that the total debit balance is equal to the total credit balance.
If the total debit balance and total credit balance are not equal then there must be an error that needs correction. If the credits and debits do appear equal on the trial balance, it still does not guarantee that no errors were made. The main goal of the trial balance sheet is to report whether the account balances are reported in the appropriate debit or credit columns and to allow for future reference of financial statements

So you have loaded the Shockwave ActiveX control in
Authorware?
Then pointed the control to the Director movie you want it to
load?
Is the Director movie definitely available to the Authorware
piece in

Patch 6678700 for NLS error -no directores for FRC and ESA

I have done the following regarding upgrade from 11.5.102 to r12.1.1;
1)-installation of r12 complete.
2)-US upgrade patch for patch 6678700 completed.
3)-started 6678700 for NLS and got the following errors, when investigated from log, it was revealed the there is no directory existed for FRC and US. We were using FRC and ESA with 11i for the last may years.
4)-In all the product top, there is just US directory, not FRC or ESA.
I don't know where is the problem, which steps I missed. Please help.

You need to download the NLS CDs from e-Delivery website and use them to apply the patch. Please use adpatch to apply the patches with no options (unlike the US patch driver which is applied using "adpatch options=nocopyportion,nogenerateportion").

When I try to download a trial, it says "Failed to Download".
How do I resolve this?

It might depend on what application you are trying to download. Which one is it?
One option could be to try using a different browser.

Error Using Directories and UTL_FILE package

Dear All, I have a problem using UTL_FILE package...
When I'm trying to write into a directory I get the following error message:
ORA-29283: invalid file open
I have a Directory named "TMPDIRPD". I checked the permissions over this directory and found that
'OPS$PDRVBPP' user has OS permissions over it. I supposed that it was the user used to validate permissions.
Plus, I verified that user "OPS$PDRDVBPP" has read/write permission into directory with this query:

FROM dba_tab_privs TP,
dba_role_privs RP
WHERE TP.table_name = 'TMPDIRPD'
AND TP.grantee = RP.granted_role
AND rp.grantee = 'OPS$PDRDVBPP';
But I'm getting the same error message.
Then I saw that 'OPS$PDRDVBPP' user calls UTL_FILE package through another package, and isn't the owner of it...
This package - who belongs to another database user - is using the OS user who owns the Oracle Installation instead 'OPS$PDRVBPP'. Isn't it?
I also checked that operative system user has read-write permissions, and asked it to the OS Administrator. He told me that oracle user has read-write permissions over this directory too... I don't know what more else can be wrong.
Have anyone some idea to fix this?

It's running over a Unix server (I really don´t know the exact version but it's a suse Linux).
I though in ORACLE Directory object named TMPDIRPD, and its directory_path defined like /companyFiles/thishost/proj/pdrdvbpp/appfiles/tmp (OS Directory).
I wrote into a OS directory using one of the procedures or functions inside the UTL_FILE package (SYS.UTL_FILE.FOPEN(parameter_path,parameter_file,parameter_io)).
Here it goes an example of code.

This error happens when the file doesn't exists.

Error while installing MS Project Server 2013(trial) on Sharepoint 2013(CAL)

My problem is that I get the following error:
trial editions and licensed editions of SharePoint, Project Server, and Office Web Apps products may not be installed on the same server
when I try to install MS Project Server 2013(180 days-evaluation) over a Sharepoint 2013(MAPS license).
What does exactly this error say?
Do I need to have Sharepoint and MS Project Server with same type of license?
If so, I suppose I'll have to remove Sharepoint(MAPS) and install a 180 days-evaluation Sharepoint. Will this re-installation be acceptable or I'll get some license type incompatibility issues?

Hello. You are correct, you will need to have the same license types either both trials or both licensed. Uninstalling/ reinstalling with trials should work fine or build another trial farm. Paul

Director Player Error?

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem - just occurred since updating to 10.4.6 (using Software Update from 10.4.5).
I have a G5 quad and can no longer play several games that were working fine before updating - I get the following error message:
Director Player Error
Handler not found in object
#play
Script Error. Continue? (no / yes)
Clicking "No" quits the game - clicking yes leaves the game open, but then it's inoperable - nothing works.
I checked already with the games manufacturers - no help there - just the usual uninstall/reinstall which didn't work. I repaired permissions, verified the disk, etc.
I'm not having any other problems (that I've discovered yet anyway) - just this one, but it's annoying because at the end of my workday I like to wind down with a few rounds of some mindless games and a beer.
Any suggestions?
G5 Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Well, odd as it sounds, I'm somewhat relieved to find out it's not just me....:)
Note to a brody: the game is the most current download version - and just to be sure, I downloaded another copy of it and installed in on my "test" hard drive running 10.4.5 and it works perfectly - I also re-downloaded it on my G5 that was upgraded to 10.4.6, checked the package contents against the test version to be sure they were identical, and installed it but it just won't run under 10.4.6.
Since I've also made sure that I have the most current versions of Shockwave and Flash installed, I don't think that there is anything else I can do unless SOMEONE puts out a fix (either the game manufacturer or Apple or Macromedia) - I just don't know where that fix will come from since the game manufacturer claims it works fine for him and others under 10.4.6 and almost no one else seems to have this problem.
note to Kathy - yes, by all means if I manage to get this fixed I will let you know what I did!

Director 12 - quit unexpectedly first time used

I've just purchased Director 12 upgrade from 11.5, downloaded and ran the installer. This is on a Mac Pro desktop machine running OSX 10.7.5
Tried to launch for first time. Director 12 splash screen shows, then replaced with following system error message…
"Director quit unexpectedly
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
Try a second time - same thing.
Ran Director 12 uninstaller, re-booted machine then ran installer again. Launched Director 12 - same thing.
Ran uninstaller again and rebooted. Went to Adobe site and this time downloaded the trial version of D12. Ran installer then tried to launch the app - same thing.
I have most of the Adobe Creative Cloud apps installed on this same machine and they all run just fine. Director 11.5 runs OK.
The original installer installed Director 12 OK on my laptop (running OSX 10.8.2) But I want it running on my main computer dammit.
Adobe's site suggest OSX 10.7 should be OK for D12.
Any ideas? Anyone had a similar problem?

Your problem is probably one or more items that are incompatible with Safari 4.0.3 and Snow Leopard:
QGetIMBundle, located at: /Library/InputManagers/QGetIMBundle
1Password, located at: /Library/InputManagers/1PasswdIM (this is clearly incompatible)
You should update 1Password to a current version that is compatible with Safari 4.0.3 and Snow Leopard, and
remove the other item for now (don't delete it). Then restart Safari and test it to see if the crashing continues.

Director 12 crashes immediately

I just downloaded and installed the trial version of Director 12. When I run it, it crashes immediately. I see the standard Windows error message "Director has stopped working". The Director splash screen is still visible. I'm running Windows 7.
I've rebooted and it continues to happen. Suggestions?

Ok I think I found the culprit :
It's the cast window in list view that makes Director 12 crash on my Mac, whenever I open a movie or try to add more than a couple of cast members.
Fortunately, by going into the Cast Window preferences and selecting "Thumbnails" and "Apply to all casts" I was able to avoid the problem, but I still hope it will be fixed soon.

NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Errors on Lenovo T500 2082-58M running Windows XP.

NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Errors are occurring on
five out of five Lenovo T500 laptops 2082-58M tested.
I can get the error to re-occur consistently by installing
IBM Director Client version 5.20 or 5.23, taking remote control and then within
the remote session I initiate a PC restart. This re-produces these errors
without fail.
I've also received this same error without Director but am
unable to cause this to re-occur consistently.
My Findings:
Changing the BIOS Settings from the default settings of :
BIOS Config > Display
Default Primary Video Device:[Internal]
Boot Display Device:[ThinPad LCD]
Graphics Device:[Discrete Graphics]
OS Detection for Switchable Graphics:[Enabled]
To the following settings resolves the issue though this
causes the installed and previously working ATI driver not to detect the video
device.
BIOS Config > Display
Default Primary Video Device:[Internal]
Boot Display Device:[ThinPad LCD]
Graphics Device:[Integrated Graphics]
OS Detection for Switchable Graphics:[Disabled]
What I have tried:
o Updated the BIOS and Drivers to Latest available
o Re-Installed the Display Driver, Downgraded the
Display Driver
o Removed the Display Driver and left BIOS
settings enabled (NMI errors re-occur)
To get to the above findings I tried removing /
re-installing pretty much every driver and disabling every option within the
BIOS. I am only listing what I believe is now relevant to the identified
problem. I can provide further information upon request.
Anyone able to help ?

the switchable gfx doesn´t work in XP. In XP you have to choose gfx options in bios before booting os.
Please try:
Default Primary Video Device:[Internal]
Boot Display Device:[ThinPad LCD]
Graphics Device:[discrete Graphics]
OS Detection for Switchable Graphics:[Disabled]

Error while uninstalling and then re installing sharepoint 2013 on same server(windows server 2012)

Hi All,
I have installed SharePoint 2013 prerequisites successfully on windows server 2012. While installing SharePoint 2013, system struck on for several minutes. I have restart my system manually. Later I then installed prerequisites which showed a successful
lessage. But When I try to install SharePoint 2013. I am getting the following error:
trial editions and lincensed editions of SharePoint, Project Server, and Office Web apps products may not be installed on the same server.
I am unable to find solution for this issue. what is the solution for this?

To be honest, the quickest thing you could do (and what I would do regardless) is re-build the server (re-install Windows).

Previous version of Director Movie - cannot be updated

I am upgrading my previous director movies and get an error "This Director movie was created with a much earlier version of Director. It cannot be updated".
I am using Director 12 and I think the .dir and .cst files were used pre Director 8.5. I know I should open them in 8.5 and convert and then maybe have to do this again in v12? But I do not have version 8.5. Does Adobe or can anyone offer the service of updating previous versions of my director movies? Any suggestions?

Sorry for being a bit grumpy – I find the Director forum a bit hard to deal with, when people criticize D12.
Being able to produce iPad apps is a MIRACLE for me
But, I do understand where you’re coming from – RE: making iPad apps is NOT as easy as making Windows & Mac projectors.
How times have changed – you can’t even make a Windows / Mac projector without it coming up with so many warnings re: unsigned program / who made this? Ect… - which puts most people off.
(Rumour is that the next Apple OSX will only install apps from their app store. )
When I have more time, I’ll post some more of my ios / iPad demos.
I also understand the suicide comment (lol) – I’m working on a very expensive iPad app, which works great for about 20 minutes, then it bombs out.

If you make a D11.5 mac projector, and it asks for shockwave 11 to install – yet it’s not a shockwave file but a projector???
Try NOT inbedding the xtras into the projector – but have them in an ‘xtras’ folder outside of the file.
Just make sure you put all the xtras ‘you use’ in the folder!
This should fix this problem.
One of your xtras is not being inbedded? / is missing? – so director tries to find it by downloading shockwave – but when it tries, it downloads the latest shockwave 12 – when it really needs the older xtra from shockwave 11 to work.
resX could be replaced by…
if the runmode <> "Author" then
    the stageColor = the stageColor -- removes the white flash
    (the stage).rect = (the desktopRectList)[1]
    (the stage).drawRect = (the desktopRectList)[1] -- this makes the stage full screen!
