Error When creating a new Global Calculated Key Figure or RKF

Hi,
Coming across this problem with NW2004s BI 7 query designer. When i create a new CKF or RKF with the query designer, i get a error message.
Currently the SAP GUI is on SP 8 and the problem exists after applying the collective note recently released.

When we try to create a comment on the query executed through a BEX Web Analyzer, we get the error message "Cannot read content from IContent instance. Error: You are not authorized to create a document with these properties".I have all authorization and all the 0tca* infoobjects are also activated.

Runtime Error when creating a new group

I'm getting a runtime error when creating a new group on a site collection?

The most possible reason is if your site collection is reached the maximum site quota limit,then there is chance to get the run time error while creating a new group.
In this case,you will get the error while creating/updating the group or while adding the new user/uploading any content.
Also Ensure the group name is not having any special/unsupported characters.
Feel free to share the error screenshot/entry in the ULS logs.

Global calculated key figures and their descriptions

Hi, I currently have a strange problem concerning calculated key figures.
We have several global calculated key figures which are used in approx. 100 querys. These key figures have a custom description ( not the same as the underlying keyfig info object).
When we use the calc. key figures in querys we let them take the description from the global key figure (the box 'use Standard text' is checked). When we execute the query, the description of the calculated does not show. As soon as we uncheck the box 'use Standard text' (and thus use 'local' -query level- descriptions) the description does show. Offcourse this is not a solution but merely a workaround, we want the key fig to take its description from the global key figure.
The problem as described above only occures on one of the two development environments. The environment on which the problem occures has support package skw70018(nwv st 16), the environment on which the problem <u>doesn't</u> occure has support package skw70013.

Execute the content at Infoprovider level as below
Div Team A B C
A X 2 1 6 9
A Y 4 2 9 15
Result Row 6 3 15
If you get same desired result in Infoprovider .. it should come in Report ... Run the report in RSRT (Without cache)
How you built the MP based on single cube or 2 ? Display content in MP for above critieria ... to cross check the report
check the idenfication ... is marked to which cube ?

Instead of RSA1, use RSD1 to create Characteristics & Key figure.
1. Go to transaction, select radio button for respective info object i mean Char ot key fig.
2. Enter name of the same & click on create transaction.
3. Suppose it will ask for APO or BW then select APO for key fig. so some new functionality come in to key fig. like key fig. fixing etc.
4. always copy new key fig. or characteristics from standard.
5. after creation activate the key figure.
Hope this steps will help you to create Char. & key fig.

Selection on Global Calculated Key Figure problem

Hi all,
I've got a Calculated key figure, made up of 2 key figures and 2 restricted key figures, saved to a homogenous multiprovider (Customer Sales). this works fine as is.
However, when you create a selection in BEx QD, that limits the CKF further by Distribution channel, and view the result, the result seems to be multiplied by a value to the effect of 2.8???
If you view the CKF by itself its fine (though not limited to what it needs to be).
As an example.
Say sales for a distribution channel was 1 million dollars. Sales overall was 2 million dollars. If i drag in my CKF (and have NO characteristics), it comes up with 2 million dollars.
If i limit it to 1 sales office, no issues, I get that sales office's value. However, if i limit it to a distribution channel, i get roughly 2.8 million dollars.
Any ideas? I can't see the logic in this. Perhaps someone knows of the issue/has seen a note or something regarding this, cos its got me scratchin my head?

Ok so when you refer to the CKF are you referring to the global CKF on the multiprovider or the CKF i have on the report that is restricted (basically a local RKF)?
I've had a look through there and have found the calculation tab, but can't really say i've found "Calculate according to current formula".
What i see are:
a dropdown list headed "calculate results as..." (nothing defined)
another dropdown list called "calculate Single Values as..." (nothing defined)
a tick box called cumulated (unticked)
another tickbox called "also apply to results" (unticked)
another dropdown listbox called "calculation direction" (default setting)
Underneath all that is a tickbox called "use precalculated value" (unticked).
is it something under all that that i need to change?
Do i change the global CKF or the local RKF?

Approval workflow error when creating a new custom entity in FIM 2010 R2

i'm hoping somebody here can help, me i've been struggling with this for some time now. On a fresh FIM installation i create a custom entity named "Role" and add a few custom attributes.
I then create an approval workflow and MPR for normal users to create entities of type Role, but another user must approve this request. The other user has a working mailbox - i've tried firing an action workflow that sends a mail notification when someone
creates a new role and it is working fine. But, when i enable my approval workflow (the only field i changed from default is the approver) on the MPR, the workflow always failes with the message:
Error processing your request: The operation was rejected because of access control policies.
Reason: The server workflow rejected the operation.

Error when create a new asset ----ASSERTION_FAILED

I have installed EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01 and when create new asset with AS01 and try to save the system show me the next runtime errors:

What happened?
    In the running application program, the ASSERT statement recognized a
    situation that should not have occurred.
    The runtime error was triggered for one of these reasons:
    - For the checkpoint group specified with the ASSERT statement, the
      activation mode is set to "abort".
    - Via a system variant, the activation mode is globally set to "abort"
      for checkpoint groups in this system.
    - The activation mode is set to "abort" on program level.
    - The ASSERT statement is not assigned to any checkpoint group.
I have implemented the note 325531 but no result.
Do you have any ideea?

I have the same problem. I have executed the report RACORR11 mentioned in OSS note 325531 but no changes I still get the dump when I want to save the asset. In my system the report RACORR122 is not available. In the customizing system the asset creation works fine w/o dump but in the test system I get the dump. I have compared the derived depreciation areas in table T093B in customizing and test system and there are the same entries. All transports have been transported from customizing to test system.
Does anybody have any ideas whatelse can be done to overcome the dump?

SCSM Authoring Tool verification error when creating a new property

I am needing to add several new fields to an existing customized ServiceRequest Extended Form. Using SCSM I exported the management pack (as a bundle) and then used PowerShell to export to a .xml. Now when I open the class and try
to create a new property I get an error stating:

The Target attribute value is not valid. Element ....ServiceRequestExtendedForm.Category references a Target element that cannot be found.
I am very new to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you probably want to go back to original sources, rather then exporting from Service Manager, since the export will break any sealing and might cause issues when authoring or resealing.
You'll also need :
a Sealed version of the class extension, since this is going to need to be loaded into the authoring tool before you see the extra properties,
an unsealed copy of the MP that contains the form customization, so you can edit it
the original key used to seal the current customization, so you can seal the upgraded form using the same key so it will upgrade the MP correctly in your production environment.
The specific error you're running into looks like a MP reference error, but it's hard to be sure without seeing the original XML. i'd make sure that you have opened the sealed versions of any other MPs this MP depends upon.

Error when creating a new Organization in Deployment Manager

I am trying to create a new Organization to an existing CRM environment and I keep getting the error below. The user deploying the new Organization has full control on all the security groups and Admin rights on the servers that Host SQL and CRM
application. The CRM environment is 2011 on Premise that has been setup for IFD.
We currently have 2 other organizations that are already in the environment, so the new org would be a third. I am more than glad to provide any firther information that I have to anyone that can help us resolve this issue. I also have a log file that I
saved after the failed creation attempt. I can provide the contents of the log file to anyoen who can help. Its too long to add here.
The section of the log file that shows the error is just above the screen shot. It looks like a deletion error. My queston is why is there an attempt at deleting anything if all I am trying to do is create a new Organization. This is not an import or
upgrade.

Maintain settlement rule for the object. It seems as per the settlement profile, settlement is mandatory.
Select object in CJ20N and press CTRL+F3...maintain the distribution rule.

Error when creating a new CrystalReport.rpt file.

I get the following error when attempting to add a new CrystalReport to my project:
Database Connection Error: ‘ADO Error Code: 0x80040e14
Source: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0
Description: Line 1: invalid procedure number (0). Must be between 1 and 32767.
SQL State: 42000
Native Error: 1005 [Database Vendor Code: 1005 ]’
This is happening as soon as I select the database:
It asks me to enter the database password, then crashed out with this error, without giving me the chance to even select any procedures.
There are procedures there, and the user account used to log in has access to them.
I'm using Visual Studio 2010.

Database Vendor Code: 1005 is being passed from the database client through the report engine - unmodified. E.g.; look for the error in your database documentation.

Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: &lt;vendor code number&gt;].
Failed to open the connection. Details: [Database Vendor Code: &lt;vendor code number&gt;].
Compare the version of the client you are using and "other people" are using.

Error when creating a new Data Source

All, This is on BI Publisher 11g.
When I create a new data source and supply password and then click "Apply" button on top right corner, i get following error
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
what am i doing wrong?

The schema/user is system and the password is alpha-numeric, upper/lower case, no special char ...
As a workaround I was able to add the password to the entry in the datasources.xml file and restarted BI Pub.
The JDBC is working ... I can test the connection successfully ... just wont save the entry
