  • Invoices Duplication Check

    Hello to you all,
In vendor master record you can flag the checkbox "Check Flag for Double Invoices or Credit Memos" this flag activate Invoices Duplication Check in Logistics documents and in FI documents separately,
Meaning I can enter the same invoice twice, As a Logistics document and by mistake as a FI document again.
Does anyone know how can I prevent it using standard customization?
    Regards,
    Dan

    Dear Atif,
    Thanks,
This Info is display in the field documentation.
The customization is relevant only to the logistic side.
I am looking for cross module costomization.

  • Extended classic senario with central invoice function

Could we use central invoice function in Extended classic senario, anybody could give us some advice?

Hi. Central invoice lets you enter an invoice against any PO on the system, and normal invoice (desktop user) only allows you to enter an invoice against your own POs.
Both should work in extended classic, I have never heard anything different.

  • Invoice tolerance check at company code level

Hi! I know in SRM, the tolerance check for invoice is set up and assigned to a tolerance group which is then assigned to the user attribute. In theory, the tolerance setting should match that of ECC as it does not make sense to meet the tolerance requirement in SRM and then subsequently get block in ECC. However, it is common in ECC that we maintain different tolerance value for different company codes. Is there a way to do the same in SRM? My guess at the moment is that we will have to 'copy' the check in ECC to SRM rather than relying on the tolerance checks in SRM. Am I right to say that? What is the best practice in such situation?
Appreicate you sharing your experience in this.
    Cheers!
    SF

Hi. I think the only way to do this is to set the tolerance to 999% via config and PPOMA and assign to all users. This means the standard tolerance check does not apply.
Then use the BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI to read in whatever tolerances you want based on whatever parameters, and issue an error on screen if the tolerance is exceeded. You can easily RFC into R/3 to get the tolerances from table T169G.

  • Invoice Tolerance Check at Invoice Header Level

    Hi Experts,
Can you advise on this query please?
We would like to be able to check for this scenario. Where the Invoice exceeds the GR by 5% or $50 we want to have this invoice blocked so that it cannot be posted in MIRO. We want to stop the users posting it in MIRO rather than allowing it to post and then blocking for payment.
The indivdiual price tolerances such as PP or PS will not work for us because these tolerances check at item level. Our PO's can have multiple line items so in total these can add up to more than $50 depending on the value of the line item.
So we ant to be able to apply the 5% or $50 limit to the overall invoice.
The BD small differences checks (we believe) at the invoice level. However, it only allows an absolute value to be specified and does not seem to allow both a value and a percentage to be specified.
Is there a way to apply the 5% or $50 at overall invoice level?
If not, is BD the correct tolerence to use to block for the $50 value at overall invoice level?
If we use the BD, must we then blank out the other tolerances so as to avoid these coming into effect and overrding the effective $50 limit for the overall invoice if the individual line items totoal to more than $50.
Appreciate your advice on how we can achieve this 5% or $50  to apply to the overall invoice.
    Thanks and regards
    M. Ryan.

    Hi Michael,
Just wondered if you managed to find out how to set up an invoice tolerance at header level ? I have a similar requirement and wondered if this can be done. It seems the tolerances are all at item level (except for the small difference as you mentioned).

  • SAP Central Instance Health check

    Hello all,
We have ECC6.0 running on Oracle 10.2.0.2 on SLES10 SP2. We are using Oracle clusterware(11g release 1) and the database is stand-alone. In other words we are using active/passive cluster.
    Our requirment is as follows:
We need to create a Linux script that checks if the SAP Central Instance is up or not. If it is not up, then we need to start it. We will then create an Oracle clusterware application resource based on this script. My question is there any SAP binary/utility that checks the status of the Central Instance?
    Thanks,
    Shilpa

You should be able to ping Message server (ASCS) if there is a repsonse then no need to do anything.
    dpmon pf=/sapmnt/<SID>/profile/<CI_profile> -p  | grep alive
and you can also use below command to check whether your message server is up or not.

  • Excise Invoice Cancelation check

Yes as already stated, this is not addressed in standard.  But in one of our plants, a similar requirement was made and I had controlled via MV50AFZ1 - FORM USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT.  Of course, this is to control cancelling excise invoice against proforma.
You can also even try with J_1I7_USEREXIT_EXCISE_BEF_SAV to achieve this requirement.

  • TDS Quarterly Return

    Dear All,
I have configured the Extended Withholding tax for my client in ECC 6.00 EHP4. When I am doing the vendor down payment in F-48, system is calculating the TDS correctly and when I am clearing the down payment the TDS computation is also getting reversed properly since the type is checked the " Central Invoice Proportionately".
If for example, before creating the invoice, I remitted the withheld TDS (Which is calculated on the down payment portion) to the tax office. Later on I have created one invoice and calculated the TDS since I do not know whether the calculated TDS amount on the open down payment is included in the previous remittance or not. After invoice creation, when I am clearing the open down payment with the invoice, what will be the function / entry? Is system going to reverse the remitted tax along with the down payment or only down payment amount?
From business scenario, system should not reverse the remitted TDS portion when doing down payment clearing against the invoice. The net difference should be displayed as the open items in WITH_ITEM.
Please give me your valuable suggestions regarding

  • TDS not reversed at the time of clearing Vendor after down payment is made

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I have a problem in Withholding tax. I have made a down payment and tax is deducted on that.
Then I raised an invoice on which tax is deducted.
Now I am trying to clear a part of the amount in which I have raised an invoice and the TDS is not getting reversed.
    Can someone help me please.
    1) I have checked the "central invoice proportionately" in WHT type for payment posting.
    2) The TDS on the invoice has not been paid.
I am getting the problem with this vendor only.
    Regards,
    Hari

    Hi,
You have to assign TDS tax codes at the time of payment as well as at the time of invoice in vendor master.
when you are making down payment TDS should be deducted on the down payment amount (base value)
    at the time of payment
say Rs5000/- you are making down payment ..........now tds is deducted on 5000/- and bill value is 60000/-
Now you are creating an invoice with FB60 or MIRO , you chage the TDS base value (bill value- down payment)=(60000-5000)=55000/- and assigned to TDS code (at the time of Invoice ) and make TDS base value as Zero against the TDS TAX codes (at the time of payment) and simulate it and post it so that TDS will be deducted on Rest of the amount i.e 55000/-
for checking , you can manually calculate TDS on 60000/- =(tds on 5000+ tds on 55000/-)
now you clear The down payment against the Invoice.

  • Withholding tax amount exceeds the customer/vendor line item amt (in MIRO)

    Dear Gurus,
MIGO done for 8 material line items WHT has been posted for 7 line items during MIRO.  For 8th line item while doing MIRO, the above error is displayed.  Kindly advise the possible reason and solution.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sadashivan

    Der AVD,
Thanks for your kind response.  Currently, in Central Invoice - no Central Invoice is checked.
Is it OK.  For Central Inv. & 1st P.pmt. indicator, the help document says it is used in Argentina only.
We have not yet proceeded for payment stage. Still MIRO has to be completed for the MIGO done
for last line item and thereafter the payment will be done.  It is right to clear the downpayment
for the 7 invoices generated now so that this error will not come during MIRO for 8th line item.
In the meantime, I will also go through the SAP notes referred by you.
    Thanks and regards,
    Sadashivan

  • F-39 Customer downpayment clearing

    Hi,
Can any one tell me how to process the TDS on advances from the customer. Following this the scenario and process that followed.
    1. Customer Advance 50% on which TDS say 2% is deducted. I Processed this through F-29 and created a customer downpayment. With holding tax type for payment posting (say P1) used Entry is -
    Bank A/c Dr       9800
    TDS A/c Dr          200
Customer A/c Cr (Spl GL)  10000
Correctly posted as excepted. Business place / section code maintained.
    2. FB70 - Revenue entry made with same Withholding tax type P1.Business place maintained
        Invoice value Rs 20000.
    3. F-39 Used the invoice reference from 2 above and select the advance payment made from 1 above. Business place maintained.
      Entry passed for full value
Customer A/c Dr (spl GL)       10000
to Customer A/c cr (normal GL)     10000.
    4. F-28 customer makes remaining payment. When entered in the Bank line item Rs.9800 reducing the TDS and tried to clear the Invoice, Downpayment transfered in the Withholding tax tab.
I am not able process this because of the difference of TDS no appearing against the downpayment lineitem. The difference is equal to TDS on advance paid.
In a normal payment process thro F-28 i am able clearing the invoice line item making an entry for TDS.
    Can anyone let me know
    1. Process follow is correct?
    2. How to make the TDS appear so that the balance payment can be cleared?
    3. Please let me know the full process (step/Tcode)
    Regards
    Seshadri V

    Hi,
    Normal process is like below:
    1) When the down payment made the TDS willbe deducted say like 2% on down payment of 10000=200
    2) When you make final invoice say like for 20000, again the TDS will be deducted on the total amount 2% on 20000= 400
    3) When you clear the down paymen the TDS deducted on the down payment will be reversed. This is because of you selected the Central invoice prop. check box in the With holding tax types for payment.
    4) Finally the TDS account contains the amount of 400 which is the correct amount.
But the above process is having its own limitations. You kindly follow as below:
    1)  Do not select Central invoice prop. in the With holding tax type for payment settings.
    2) Do not give the with holding tax CODES in the Customer or Vendor masters. Give all the With holding tax TYPES.
    3) Let the user select the concerned tax codes while posting the down payment.
    4) While posting the invoice ask the user to give the with holding base amount manually which is the difference between the down payment and the final invoice. So the TDS amount will be correctly deducted. There will not be any reversal of TDS required at the time of clearing the down payment.
Hope it is clear to you. If you require any further clarifications, revert back to me.
    Regards
    shankar
