Exchnage rate determination

Hi
For an export transaction when we save billing document by default exchange rate type M is always transferred irrespective of what is maintained in customer master record
I have got a note no 22781 where a data transfer routine is given which ,if applied will transfer exchange  rate type that  has been maintained in customer master record
I am unable to determine where this routine has to be applied as there is no configuration node in SD for data transfer from billing document to accounting document
Can you kindly guide me as to where should i apply this routine so that i can get the desired result
Thanks and Regards
Sunil Iyer

Right now I dont have access to SAP but in VTFL, for the field "Data : VBRK/VBRP", you would have assigned some routine.  You can include the logic as specified in the note and try in development client.  Else, if you could see "Copying requirements", you can also try with this.
thanks

  • Exchange Rate determination

    Hello Friends,
We have one business requirement related to Exchange rate determination in billing document, and the requirement is -
We have more than 100 company codes across global, in that for particular company codes example A001 (France), A002 (Malaysia) the exchange rate in billing document needs to determine as daily exchange rate which is different from average monthly exchange rate.  This rate is only applicable for billing document but nor for any inventory or financial (other than AR) or any other.  It means at the company code level, busienss wants to maintain average exchange rate which is needed for other FI postings as explained.
Hence the requirement is, in the billing document I need to determine daily exchange rate instead of averate monthe exchange for revenue postings, and the exchange type for daily exchange is "D".
Is there any standard approach where I can able to determine daily exchange instead of averate monthly....
    Thanks to share your inputs
    Best Regards,
    Goutham

I need to determine daily exchange rate instead of averate monthe exchange
the exchange type for daily exchange is "D".
I never come across this requirement and also on your second comment, I doubt whether in standard, one could see the exchange rate type "D" and I am unable to confirm this as I dont have access to SAP right now.  Nevertheless, what I would suggest is that you can create a new exchange rate type in OBO7 and maintain a daily exchange rates in OBO8.  Hope this should work.
    thanks

  • CIN - tax rate determination

    hi all,
how define tax rate determination during with CIN. Will system retrive tax rate from  the definition made J1ID, or , the tax rate given in FTXP for the tax code.
Also, plz explaing how account determination takes place - through tax code or 'Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction' in Log-gen> 'tax on goods mvt' > ind > account det.
plz provide any link for complete setting to be made to enable  cin.

    Hello
For TAXINN, the duty rates are picked from the condition records maintained in FV11.
And in TAXINJ procedure, the duty rates are picked from what maintained in J1iD and tax codes in FV11.
The excise accounts are determined through Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction' in Log-gen> 'tax on goods mvt' > ind > account det. only.
You are only able to view that in FTXP.

  • Exchnage Rates

    Hi,
We are currently importing exchange rates in to SAP R/3 (ECC6.0) system using idocs of message type exchange_rate. The idocs come in with echange rates every day at 2:30 am in the morning for that particular day.
For eg on the 25th of June at 2:30 am we will get idocs for exchnage rate for that particular day.
However now as per business requirement we will be getting the exchange rate idocs at 3:30 pm in the afternoon with the next days rate (ie one day in advance).
For eg on the 25th of June at 3:30 pm in the afternoon we will get idocs for exchange rates with date 26th June.
My question is that due to this change, do we have change anything in R/3 either in config or anywhere else?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mick

    Thanks j@y.
A few more details that might help.
    As is process:
XI/PI picks up an file at 2:30 am and then passes the data to R/3 as an idoc of message type exchange_rate. The file has a column called Valid_To. This column has todays date. The values from the file, column valid_to are entered in the table TCURR, field GDATU
For eg: on the 25th of June XI receives a file at 2:30 am with the value in the Valid_To column as 25th June, 2009
    To be process:
Now as per the new business requirement, XI/PI will pick up the exchange rate file at 3:30 pm in the afternoon everyday. This file will have tommorows date in the valid_to column.
For eg: on the 25th of June XI receives a file at 2:30 am with the value in the Valid_To column as 26th June, 2009. Therefore the exchange rates are applicable from the next day.
The question is do we need to make any changes in R/3 for the idocs to post successfully as they are doing now? Will the system allow the next days date to be entered in the TCURR table in the Valid From field? Or do we need to make some changes.

  • Exchange rate determination on Billing Date

    Hello,
We have a problem with respect to exchange rate re-
determination - on billing date at the invoice level.
Currently in our system the Exchange rate is being determined on the
pricing date at the sales order level. When we create the invoice the
exchange rate at the header level (VBRK-KURRF) is getting re-determined
    on the billing date.
However the problem is the exchange rate at the item level (VBRP-KURSK)
& exchange rate with respect to amount currency level (KOMV-KKURS).
In order to re-determine exchange rates at item level (KOMV-KKURS) - we have done the
configuration for exchange rate type field in Copy control settings at
    VTFL/VTFA should be u201CCu201D.
But however, the system is determining the pricing exchange rate (KOMV-KKURS) on the pricing date, and not on the billing date.
We have also applied the note 92613. In spite of making the changes the pricing date is not being re-
determined to u201Cbilling dateu201D for exchange rate calculation at conditioncurrency level.
Can you please let us know, how can we have the pricing exchange rate (KOMV-KKURS), be determined on the billing date and not on the pricing date. Do we have a configuration for this? Or is some change in any user exit is required. Please suggest.
    Best Regards,
    Priya Gor.

    Hi All,
I am having the same kind of issue.
My requirement is if the condition currency is different than Document currency (which is also local currency) the system should re-determine the exchange rate in billing as per current date.
Could you please suggest me how KOMV-KKURS will be redetermined in billing as per current date?
As you know copy control TVCPFLP-PFKUR filed will be applicable for VBRP-KURSK but for my requirement it is not needed.
Is there any copying requirement required or any user exit in Billing document ?
Please share if anyone having any info for this.
    Thanks
    Amar

  • Tax Rate Determination in Credit Memos With Ref to Invoices

The requirement in US is that when the customer has changed his address to a different region, from that where the services was supplied (The region in which the customer (ship-to party) was residing when the invoice was raised) and if a credit memo is raised with reference to this invoice, then the taxes applicable on the credit memo for this customer should be the rates applicable for the state where the original invoice was raised. However currently in SAP the new customer address is updated in the billing document (invoice that was raised for the region where the customer had his place of business previously) and hence the original region code in the invoice will not be available and will be overridden with new region code.
    Consider the following example:
1 - Invoice raised on 01-Jan-2010 to a customer whose region is Florida and tax rate is "X %"
2 - On 01-Feb-2010 the customer in Florida changes his place of business to Texas region.
3 - On 01-March-2010 a credit memo is raised with reference to the invoice dated 01-Jan-2010 u2013 On this credit memo the tax rate applicable will be of the region of Texas u2013 Example u201CY%u201D
The requirement is that in the credit memo the system should capture the original region code or there should be a provision to change the region code of the customer (ship-to party) at line item level u2013 so that the tax determined is applicable to the region where the customeru2019s place of business originally existed.
From our side we did check the SAP screen for Creation of contract/Order (VA41/VA01) u2013 However we were unable to find the customer region field in these screens at line item level.
We request you to please look into this at the earliest and let us know what the options that exist for this are.
Please also let us know should you require any clarifications with reference to the above requirement.
    Regards
    Siddharth Sridhar

    Hi Siddharth,
As for the region code that you mentioned, in fact yes, you can change during transaction creation, and Region is coming from the customer master record that you maintained.
You can find it at the Item level --> Partners, but you will not be able to change the Region there.
To change it, double click on the Sold-to Party at Header level, then select Sold-to Party --> Details.. Here you can change the Region accordingly.  It will reflect accordingly at the Item level --> Partners.
Note: This change will not change the central master data maintained for this customer. It will only affect this document.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • EURO Conversion (SK) - Condition currency - exchange rate determination

    Hi All,
After EURO conversion in Slovakia, in SD we faced the following issue:
SK Sales Org. sells products, services to HU.
The document currency is HUF, the sales org. curreny is EUR.
The condition currency is EUR, the condition value is in HUF. (It isanual condition. KOMV-KSTEU = C)
During condition value determination system reads EUR/HUF exchage rate - direct reading, instead of HUF/EUR.
I found in note 123298 that is SAP standard operation, because in case of EURO system reads direct exchage rate.
Is there any experince regarding similar EURO conversation problem? Client would prefer indirect HUF/EUR exchage rate reading. (The reason is simple. It has affiliates in HU as well and there is slight differEnce between HUF/EUR and EUR/HUF.)
(Exchage rate type 'M' is configured as inverse.)
All hits & tips are appriciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rgds,
    Anett

    Hello Srinath & Lakshmipathi,
I tested the indirect quote as well. The result is the same, system applies EUR /HUF exchange rate.
I think the background is the following logic:
    - company currency: EUR
    - document currency: HUF
    - condition currency: EUR again.
I debugged, pricing determination, the local and foreign currency is the same, moreover it is hardcoded that in case of EUR it is a direct reading in program LV61ATOP, direct read in case of EURO s hardcoded.
I clarify the alternatives with the clients, after coming back to share info, and continue or closing this issue.
    I really appriciate your support.
    Rgds,
    Anett

  • Duty Rate determination Issue

    Hi Experts,
We are in the process of implementing Customs Management for US, Canada and Mexico. I am having an issue when a duty rate is determined for canadian imports. Even though I use the same/similar country group settings for US, CA and MX, when I try to create a import customs document, when I try to determine the duty, I am getting pop up window, giving me an option to select a specific duty rate based on the country group. From the log I understand that system is not able to determine the duty rate due to several country groups are determined.
I tried to reconfig for automatic determination, but not able to resolve it. Can you guys please help me to understand what are the config steps and how the country groups work, and how to address this issue.
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Vijay,

    Hi,
    Here are my findings.
    1. Analyzed the dataprovider file, and found that the B0004 duty category (preferential duty) was defined for many different country groups, especialy for Canada. For ex, imports from Mexico into CA, there are many preferential agreements between those two countries, so MX is part of more than one country group. Further I understood we cant modify this file everytime.
    2. I defined a legal regulation for CA customs processing, uploaded the HTS XML file and duty rate XML files, when I checked, all the defined country groups are added and activated for the legal regulation. Due to this, when an import happens from MX, system finds more than one country group and was not able to determine one duty rate for B0004 category.
    3. I manually removed the unwanted country groups(kept only what is relevant for my client's business scenarios), then system determined the duty correctly and it works fine. But all the country groups are reassigned to legal regulation when I reload the duty rate files into the system.
So I am wondering, is it a standard practice or is it advisable to repeat the step 3 whenever a new duty rate files are loaded into the system. Is there any other steps I am missing.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Vijay.

    hi,
for the first question: you have to set up a substitution, where you substitute the value of document date (BKPF-BLDAT) into translation date (BKPF-WWERT).
the second question is not really clear for me, sorry...
    hope this helps

  • Tax Rate Determination

    Hi All,
I need to determine the Tax Rate in my program. I have the Tax code, Tax Jursidicion Code, Company Code, Tax Procedure and the Country available to me in my program.
Is there a function module/modules that I can use to arrive at the tax rate using the above fields.
I could find out the following function modules which could give me the tax rate however there is an issue when I use these.
FI_TAX_GET_CONDITION_TYPES -- I use this function module to get the value for KSCHL
FI_TAX_GET_KTOSL_FROM_KSCHL -- I use this function module to get the value for KTOSL
FI_TAX_GET_CONDITION -- I pass KSCHL and KTOSL along with other information to this function
module to get the tax rate (KBETR).
The issue with the first function module is that it can return multiple condition types for a give tax code and tax jurisdiction code in which case there is no way to find out which one to use (or atleast I am not aware of it).
Please let me know know if there is any other function module or any way to fix this issue.
Will greatly appreciate any solution to this problem.
      Thanks for  all your time.

There must be some way of matching each tax code to single rate.  What happens in your MIRO when all they can enter is a tax code for which it must be able to get a single rate?  Running ST05 trace against MIRO might give you some clues.
The FMs mentioned all work for me here to get a single rate, and if they don't do the same for you I guess you'll need to talk to your functional consultants to get some more information on how the tax codes have been set up.

  • Exchange rate determination at time of Good Reciept

My client has a manufacturing operations in Venezuela.   They regularly import production materials as well as supplies etc. to run the business.  The Venezuelan government defines the exchange rate on different types of purchases against the US Dollar.
When the goods are purchased the exchange rate is not known.  The Exchange rate has to be applied to the transaction at the time of goods receipt.  The exchange rate will be different for different types of purchases.  For example:  Raw materials are 2.6 Bs per dollar, Supplies are 4.3 Bs per dollar and all other purchases are at the rate of 5.3 Bs per dollar.  The exchange rate must be entered correctly at the time of entering the Goods Receipt.
The exchange rates are controlled by the government and stay static for a certain amount of time, but can be changed with little notice by the Organization in control.
Has anyone on a global SAP implementation or who has worked locally in Venezuela encountered this in the past?
If so, how have you handled it in the system?

    Hi,
If the price control is V, there is no issues.  When you make a goods inwards, the rate will be picked on that date and update the price difference to material value itself.  Ensure, that correct rate updated before making the GR.

  • Foreign Currency Payments are not Picking up Exchnage Rates

    Hi,
We are on R12.0.6 and while entering foreign currency payments the system is not picking up the exchange rate. It is only allowing us to enter USER exchange rate. The field of exchange rate on Payment form is greyed out and not showing anything.
We have checked the rates and these are present in system. The same rates are picked up by invoice entry screens but for payments it gives us no exchange rate found.
    Has anyone faced this problem.

Well, it seems that the "Exchange Rate" field on the Payment form populates when the user selects the Bank Account before the Payment Date field. Previously we were entering the information first in the Payment Date field and than selecting the Bank Account. This was preventing the Exchange Rate field from being populated with the rate.
I just changed the order of the entry and it worked perfectly. Now first we select the bank from which payment is going to take take place and than the date, and the exchange rate is automatically picked up from the rates table.

  • Table for Exchnage Rate Maintenance

    Dear Experts,
I am posting a Foreign Currency Document. The Foreign currency for me is Eur.
In the Header of the document, I do mentioned Currency Eur with rate 70.55
the system then gives a message, rate 70.55 deviates @59% of the table rate 44.17
In the document, when i simulate there are few line items of Witholding Tax (TDS) which are calculated & generating automatically, but these Line Items, when displayed in local currency computes taking exchange rate 44.17
in OB08, i DO NOT find any Eur / INR Exchange Rate which has 44.17
how do i solve this problem. please help.

    Dear Hussein,
First check whether any exchange rate type is maintained at Document Type level.
Secondly If you don't find Eur / INR but may be INR/Eur is maintained for the exchange rate type. Check in table TCURR.
Answer to system then gives a message, rate 70.55 deviates @59% of the table rate 44.17 is, go to OBY6 select your company code you will find Max. exchange rate deviation is less than 59%.
Be patient and analyze the problem.
