  • No stock entry in Credit memo-HOW TO FIX IT

    Hi Experts,
I need your help, because of an unknown feature of sap, some journal entry hasnt been taken. this is the following note (1126524).
I have created 3 weeks ago a new warehouse for special items. After this creation lots credit memo were created with this warehouse. But as this note says, if the item has no cost in a warehouse then no journal entry will be done on stock account.
I thought that with the price given in A/R credit memo then there will be a new FIFO layer, but no, so this causes that my COGS account displays wrong number ,too!
Please help, how to fix this, how to know what journal entry should have been done, and is there any to realize?
    Thank you in advance!!!!

There are 1204pcs credit memo since that time, no way to restore, any other idea?
I have collected the documents with this query:
    select itemcode ,sum(inqty) inqty,sum(inqty*price) value,round(price,2) price,sum(openqty)
torevalue,sum((inqty-isnull(openqty,0))*price) 'booked on COGS' from oinm o where
    warehouse='03' and transtype=14 and isnull(cogsval,0)=0
    group by itemcode,round(price,2)
    order by itemcode
But i wonder what is the account to debit the COGS?
Moreover i wonder that what are with those items that were sold,so cannot be revalued?

  • Fixed Assets Add-On: Depreciation Calculation After Credit Memo

In the beginning of the year, I have a fixed asset as follow:
    Cost $16,128,667.00
    NBV $14,515,800.35
Planned Useful Life for this asset is 120 months.
In July this year, created a Fixed Asset Credit Memo for this asset at $1,110,942.92.
Originally, before the credit memo, the planned depreciation is $134,405.53 per month which is correct.
After the credit memo, it recalculates the planned depreciation to $124,119.04 per month. How did the system arrive at this figure?
    Depreciation method:
    Straight line
    Full Year

    Hi,
Based on NBV $14,515,800.35, minus Credit Memo $1,110,942.92, you got $13,404,856.43. The useful life is 108 based on NBV. So you get new planned depreciation to $124,119.04 per month.

  • Amount of the paid invoice after credit memo not correct

    Hi all
I am using AP, CM and GL.
I register an invoice in Payables with amount 10000.
After two days the supplier send me a document with when he is telling that i have to pay only 8000.
I register this document as credit memo with amount 2000 and apply on the invoice.
But i pay in the bank only 8000 and i can not pay both documents because, it will not reflect correct actions in bank statements.
Can you please tell me how to solve this situation?
    Thank you and best regards
    Edited by: user567002 on Nov 23, 2010 4:28 AM

That depends on how you created the credit memo. Did you use the credit balance/line feature to create the credit memo or was that a standalone CM that you keyed in ? If it was the former, the previous_customer_trx_id field on the CM record will contain the customer_trx_id of the invoice. But if the CM was manually keyed in, that field would be blank.
Either which way, you should be able to identify the link between the invoice and credit memo using the ar_receivable_applications_all table.

    Hi all,
I have used the BAPi " SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE" to generate Credit Memo Request. After the generaion of the credit memo request the Revenue Recognition Catrgory [ "RR_RELTYP"(Data Element) ] is not determined. Can anyone let me know what are all to be filled to this BAPI for this field to get populated.

    Hello Mr. Shiva Ram,
First of all thanks a lot for your help. The problem of credit memo is now solved but to resolve the status of the existing sales order documents as per your suggestion we have run the  program SDVBUK00 in SA38.Still we didn't get the desired result as the status of the completed normal sales orders are still showing "Being Processed" even after running the program.
Please suggest what else need to be done to change the status of the completed sales documents till invoice.

  • Asset depreciation issue after Credit memo posted to asset.

    Hi,
We bought asset on 2010 Dec with price 100,000 SGD last year. The asset, monthly depreciation = 833.33 SGD with 20 year useful life.
This month, we received an CN to minus 20,000SGD for some reason.
Hence I do credit asset with transaction type 160, post 20,000SGD to this month.
Seem like now system are getting current NBV to calculate the depreciation for remaining useful life. It is not they want.
Business assume to get positive depreciation this month to re-adjust back the 20,000SGD depreciation to this month.
How to get month depreciation value 666.66 SGD after this asset? Hope you can suggest me.

Recheck your Multi Level Method in AFAMS. You should use the base value 24.
Have to ticked "remaining useful life"
Also, check your OAYR settings? Did you select "Smoothing"

  • Not able to Post AR Credit Memo Entry

    Hi Everybody,
    I use SAP 2007B PL15.
I face problem in one case. Please give me solution for the same.
I do the following steps for an FG001; SO--> Delivery > Outgoing Excise Inv.> AR Invoice --> Incoming Payment.
Now my customer sends me the same material back i.e. FG001. For this I go to Return--> Incoming Excise Invoice and use Copy From option; but it says item is not Purchase Item and does not allow me to enter into RG Register.
Please suggest me the way to handle this scenario. Ideally it should be Return --> Incoming Excise Invoice --> AR Credit Memo

  • Material Cost is not coming in Credit Memo

    Dear SAP gurus,
My Client is from Brazil & they created a cycle of Sales Order (Export Order) to Billing (with Nota Fiscal)
& with Reference to Invoice, they created the Return Order, Return Delivery (PGR) & finally generated Credit Memo.
The Problem is Material Cost (VPRS) is getting captured in Billing, but in case of Credit memo,
Material cost is not getting posted in G/L accounts.
    What we analyzed till now:
    * Pricing Procedure & found that there is no requirement/routine maintained for Cond Type VPRS.
    * Copy Control related Settings (from Delivery to Billing).
    * Item Category Related settings.
but we could not find anything specific.
For more clarity, I am providing the below details of Accouting Entries:
    G/L account details after Billing:
      1 99999S2L10 Industrias John Deer USD     122.102,07

    6 50 3400200000 CPV-Prod-Int-OUsC    USD           0,02-
Please pay attention to 5th & 6th Lines.
Can anyone suggest where things have gone wrong. Do let me know if you need any other information.
    Thank you in anticipation,
    MAYANK

    Hello Mayank,
If your VPRS is being captured in your billing document, but IS NOT being posted to a G/L account, then your problem is on account determination.
    I suggest the following:
Step 1. Go to your billing document overview.
Step 2. Go to Environment>Account Determination Analysis>Revenue Accounts.
Step 3. Go to the VPRS condition of your material and based on the access sequence, check the problem.  For example: "No G/L found in Account Determination Type KOFI" (if your account determination condition type is KOFI in your case)
Step 4. In Step 3, you will see the values for each field based on the fields in your access.  Then go to VKOA and compare if you have a valid entry there corresponding to the revenue account determination analysis.  Otherwise, if there is no matching entry then I suspect this is why your G/L is not being determined for your VPRS.
Step 5.  If the VKOA entry is missing and it is REALLY NEEDED, then add the VKOA entry tied to the G/L account.  Otherwise, review your master data and your VKOA.
Let me know if this solves your problem.
    Hope this helps,
    Eva

  • A/R credit memo for closed A/r Invoice

    Hi Guru's,
Our Client want to make an A/R credit memo for closed A/R Invoice (i.e) payment is already received for that A/R Invoice.
But in such scenario, the he is not able to get the referce of the A/R invoice as it closed... so he makes the stand alone Goods Return , Excise & A/R Credit Memo.
But the problem in this stand alone scenario is that the system treat such case as purchase scenario and hit the repective account of VAT and excise which is very incorrect.
    e.g
Instead of hitting - VAT payable account for debit
its hitting           - VAT input account for debit
So please help me in this matter and give the solution as soon as possible ....its urgent.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Abhishek

    hi Abhishek,
Create a new tax code and in that tax code create
vat code with its A/P G/L account is same as A/R G/L account,Similary you repeat it for ed,cs,hcs also.
    1. Change Posting period if required.
    2.Reverse incoming payment entry.
3.Do A/R credit memo base on A/R invoice with new tax code.
Incoming excise invoice will be created automatically
       in background.
Incoming excise invoice journal entries will be hit as in
    sales scenario.
    Hope above answer helps you.

  • Sales Return: credit memo Should generate automatically with goods reversal

    DEAR SD GURUS N EXPERTS,
Currently we are using following system of Sales return.
VA01: (Order Type: RE) --> VL01N (Return Delivery) --> VL09 (Goods Reversal) --> VA01 (Request 4 Credit Memo or remove billing bloc) --> VF01 (Credit Memo)
But, now my client want a such configuration that entry of Credit memo should happen along with Goods Reversal (VL09) - Automatically. They don't want to carry out VF01 separately.
Reason behind it: Customers has credit Limit, Suppose a customer has a Credit limit of 5,00,000 and we have delivered the Material of same amount. It means all the credit limit has been used. But now He has returned the material of 2,00,000. But it will not affect the credit limit until we pass Credit memo.
Please suggest the required configuration and what we can do in such scenario. Thanks in Advance.
    DSC

Again I can tell you that the process what you were following (reversing the goods receipt) is totally wrong and it will have a serious negative impact on inventory.  Either you should not create a return delivery or take the stocks into parent plant.  If you dont want to show in inventory, then scrap it which is a standard process.
Coming to the requirement, there is no standard way to achieve this.  Check these threads where the same topic was discussed
[Re: How to set up in SAP to have automatic billing after PGI |Re: How to set up in SAP to have automatic billing after PGI]

You have to apply the same logic for credit note also.

  • Credit memo -Depot sale return

    Hello Guru,
I am facing problem in credit return memo regarding excise amount.
Since this is depot scenario after doing J1IJ i am doing invoice where excise value is picking from J1IJ...which is ok.
when i am doing depot return with reference to invoice it is copying right excise value from invoice.....which is ok.
But when i am doing my credit memo for return it is not copying excise value from sales return order.
Copy control is ok i.e. D.
Values of excise in return credit memo is copied from the orginal sales order.
Also i tried with doing first J1IG to capture return excise and then i did vf01, even though i am not getting the excise value which is in sales return order.whie generating the credit memo system is doing the recalculation of pricing.

  • Credit memo and mandatory fields in Sales order

    Dear all,
I have 2 problems, hoping these are not too basic questions I'm asking here.
1). I have created a sales order for credit memo's and I'm using the standard billing type G2.
The amounts are negative in the order & in the billing document, however, when transferring to FI, it is posted as a normal invoice (Debit customer) instead of credit memo.
Where are the posting keys defined or where do you determine which kind of posting will happen in FI based on the billing document?
2). When creation a sales order (VA01), the sales office and sales group should be mandatory fields. What is the best way to do this? Or is the only option to go via the document completeness check?
    Many thanks!
    Best regards.

    Hi There,
    >
This is the standard SAP behavior. Simple thing, All the values are negative so when it will post to FI
    It will be like
Dr  Customer Invoice amount ( which is negative ) so end result is +ve. ( as Debit is -)
    I hope its understandable.
    For example:
While creation of simple invoice say of 1000 $
Entries were Dr Customer 1000 $
                         Cr Revenue    1000$
    Now After Credit memo
                        Dr Customer    -1000 $
                         Cr Revenue    -1000 $
    Which will nullify each other.
    > 2). When creation a sales order (VA01), the sales office and sales group should be mandatory fields. What is the best way to do this? Or is the only option to go via the document completeness check?
The best way is to include these two fields in the Sales order incomplete procedure in OVA2. Put Error/warning as required by you.
    Thanks,
    Raja

  • Opiton to choose bank accounts at the time of Credit Memo Request

    Hi,
We have maintained multiple banks for same customer in customer master. Our requirement is to have an option to choose a particular bank account at the time when a credit memo request is created. The customer wants different credit notes to go to different bank accounts. We do not want to do it at the time of payment as this becomes quite manual. Is there any way we can do this at the time of entry of Credit Memo request in VA01 ?
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Dear Praveen,
I don't think you can have this option in the standard functionality.
Because account assignment will takes place based on these combination
Chart of accountsCondition typeMaterial account assignment groupCustomer account assignment groupAccount key.
So you can't assign different G/L with same combination, if you want different G/L accounts then you need to change either one the key combination.
Other wise you can have different credit memo types based on the Bank accounts
-->Generate the condition table with billing type as one of the key field.
-->Maintain access sequence for that, assign to condition type.
-->Now define and assign the new account determination procedure for the credit memo process.
-->Finally you assign the Bank G/L account with bill type(I,e Credit memo type) is as one of the key combination.
But make sure that you have maintained proper copy control settings for all these credot memo types from credit memo request or other reference document.
You can try with some user extis with the help of ABAPer,
The following user exits are available in report SAPLV60B for transfer to accounting
    USEREXIT_ACCOUNT_PREP_KOMKCV (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)
In this user exit additional fields for account determination that are not provided in the standard system are copied into communication structure KOMKCV (header fields).
EXIT_SAPLV60B_001: Change the header data in the structure acchd
You can use this exit to influence the header information of the accounting document. For example, you can change the business transaction, "created on" date and time, the name of the person who created it or the transaction with which the document was created.
EXIT_SAPLV60B_002: Change the customer line ACCIT
You can use this exit to change the customer line in the accounting document. This exit is processed once the ACCIT structure is filled in with data from document header VBRK.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

I am talking about the XML template that creates the Credit memo when you run the concurrent program to print them. You can access the XML template from XML Publisher Administrator responsibility. You can search with "Email Bursting" in metalink/my support and you will get lot of documents on this.. Currently I don't have any specific document on this.
