Excise in Exports.
Hi,
We have export Sales in our organisation. My question is how excise will vary in exports.? wt is BOND and ARE1. Give briefly overview on excise in exports and when it is applicable?

Hi,
Basic thumb rule in all Export process are Excise is exempted. Like in domestic, exports also there are couple of scenarios which follow depends on the company to company-
1. Exports under Bond
2. Exports under Rebate Claim
3. Exports under Letter of Understanding
4. Deemed Export
5. Export under CT1 or CT3 License.
In the above all except the rebate claim, excise dute is exempted, when it comes to Bond in general definition its a legal document which includes money limit and for all exports if routed through BOND then all the sales orders should attach to BOND. After attaching the Bond to sales order, system reduce the duty value from the BOND amount for every Export Excise Invoice.
ARE1: This is used in all export process except deemed export, this is used a annexture for exporting the goods from the port. This ARE1 consist of EI Number, materail, quantity and the duty value of the material. This ARE1 is submitted by Excise department of the company to the Excise authorities for Excise Clearance from the Port.

Error in excise invoice - Exports
Dear All
In creation of excise invoice for Export through J1IIN(Sale thru Factory) after selecting UTILIZATION(F6) the value of BED, Higher edu cess and Sec Edu Cess is disappearing. Before Utilization (F6) the value of BED, Higher educ cess, Sec Edu Cess is appearing there but when ever i go for UTILIZATION(F6) the value of all the excise is disappering. Is there any customization setting for this or have i missed something. Please guide me

Please check SAP note 1036568 should be present in the system and implement the user exit J_1I7_USEREXIT_DUTY_IN_EXPORT, Add the following code SUPPRESS_CALCULATION = 'X'
If you do not want the excise duty to be calculated for a particular transaction then you need to mark the flag suppress_calculation as 'X'. This flag when left blank will trigger calculation of ED during J1IIn and when it is marked, the ED copied will be left as it is.
hope this should help you. Ask the ABAP cons to do the needed settings in development server and test one sales cycle.

This is a Export sale to Nepal where the Excise regulations are given below:
When goods liable to duties of excise in India are dispatched to Nepal through land the exporter or his agent shall observe the following procedure of the registered factory or warehouse or premises as approved by the Commissioner of Central Excise, from where the excisable goods are removed for export to Nepal:-
He shall pay the duties of excise and other duties leviable on the goods, if not already paid;
(ii) He shall clear the goods on the duty paying invoices which should be prepared in quadruplicate and marked u201CFor export to Nepalu201D;
1.Excise Invoice (No bond) created with reference to a Export Proforma generates Acconting doc but my question is how this should be knocked off as the Export Accounting doc wont show the excise as they are statistical?
2. I dont think Creating a new shiping point is the right option.Iam sure there should be process defined to handle this.

In my export pricing procedure all the excise condition types are statistical - while creating Invoice through (vf01) only net value is calculated and rest excise wont calculate due to statistical. then while creating Excise invoice through (j1iin) the excise values arenot appearing if wont appear then how can i creat ARE1 document- for this in excise invoice excise values are must unless untill wont creat ARE1 DOC. Why it isnot coming in Excise invoice(values) can you help me regarding that.Also as per my customisatoin for default no bond settof only excise under letter of undertaking and assigned default setting for series group. Pls tell me for this purpose how the excise values will be coming in my excise invoice.

As per your informations everything is ok so apart from that if anything pls let me to know.
In my domestic procedure i have no problem and all my excise values are also flowing at the creation of EXCISE INVOICE.That means my DLFC transction type is ok and a/c determination is also ok.

Generally at the end of billing (vf01) a/c should be generated- if 1st line item will come that means value should be flowing to Excise invoice .This should happen in domestic procedure, but incase of Foreign trade 1st line item wont display thats why it isnot flowing- pls confirm it how it will come incase of Foreign trade.This is coming through excise transction a/c determination.

Creation of EXPORT EXCISE INVOICE (ARE1)

When am cerating Export billing through(VF01) all the price and excise value is coming but while creating EXCISE INVOICE for EXPORT the EXCISE VALUE isnot flowing that means all the value remain zero .
1- So for this purpose how to creat an EXPORT EXCISE INVOICE(ARE1) & how EXCISE VALUE will come.
2- Pls try to explain the total process of EXPORT EXCISE INVOICE creation.

The process is as follows:
After you create the excise invoice use j1IA101 tcode to create the are-1. Ensure that your excise invoice has the relevant type i.e esport type and is not local.
In the opening screen enter you invoice number and also enter the relevant details such as document details, addresses, long texts etc. You also need to enter the details of the bond/LUT in the bond details tab.For this the bond should have been created.
Save your are-1.
The use post and open the saved are-1 document and fill the date and time of removal and post it.
After that you need to update it periodically. If you want to check it on the same day then enter the dates. Here the screen will change from the earlier screens where fields for uodation such as sent to customs, recived from customs, sent to excise and export confirmed fields ..... will appear. You need to enter the dates here. For a start enter the current date in all the fields.
check it now. If everything is AO.K you will get a document O.K message. If not maintian the details asked by the system.
Save it. When you do so you will get a message saying that you cannot change quantities after this.
confirm it and save it. This will confirm the export and all relevant entries will be made.
Just for an idea if you want check ..
When you post check the bond register in case of bond and you will see that the bond will be debited to the tune of the total duty. When the export is confirmed it will be credited back into the bond.
Ofcourse you need to maintina the bond and fill it in the ARE1 at the time of creation.
Use the area menu J1ILN which will load the Excise menu on your screen. This will have all the transactions relating to excise and use the exports under excise regulations path for your abov transactions instead od TCode. You will never have any problems of remembering the Tcodes for cenvat register, bond......
You can maintian the bond under master data in the same area menu.
TO go to the excise menu you just type the tcode J1ILN.
After referring the above please also refer to help.sap.com under Exports under excise regulation- ARE document. It will be very helpful for you as all the details are given here.

In J1IIN the excise invoice type is not getting changed to BOND for Export

In ECC 6.0 I am trying to create an Excise Invoice (Export) but the system in J1IIN is not allowing me to change Excise invoice type to Bond (deemed is reflecting in Blue), some more details are as follows:
The Customer is for Country India, the currency is INR, the series group is 20 (export), the sale order is of Export, the customer pricing proc in the customer master is same as what we select for other exports customers.
I have checked the configuration in IMG---LOGISTICS GENERAL--TAX ON GOODS MOVEMENTS-INDIA---BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS-OUT GOING EXCISE INVOICE---MAINTAIN DEFAULT EXCISE GROUPS AND SERIES GROUPS, the EXPORT column is blank.
Please advice as to how I will be able to get the export under bond in Excise Invoice type

Please note that in order to change the excise invoice type to Bond, System has to meet the below to requirement.
1. Currency should be foreign ( I mean other than local currency, In case of India currency is INR) OR
2. Ship to Party should be outside the country.
By going through your comments, I understand that what ever excise invoice type is reflected in the excise invoice i.e,Deemed is correct only.
If you want to treat this is as export then check the above mentioned two points..

Hello friends i am tryin to create an excise invoice for a particular customer. I think i have done most of the settings correctly but when i create a invoice it does create one but with a mess which says EXPORT DATA INCOMPLETE.... and then when I try to create an excise invoice (with J1IIN) with refer to the billing invoice.....its doesnt pick data from the invoice (for ex the price ,basic excise 16%, SED 2%, AED 1% )...
Please help me with this problem ..itss urgent........if possible pls do let me know of all the export settings to be done before creating the invoice.
After this with ref to the Excise invoice I have to create form are1 any info would be appreciated

Here keep in the first column all the codes of those countries to which you export to.
Indicator: Goods direction for declarations to authorities = 2.
Rest all fields = Standard settings should remain.
Still the accounting doc error is coming then goto VF02 > Header > ForTrade/Customs > put exit country as IN and save the invoice.

Legacy data is like:
They create only TAX Invoice which they send to the excise dept & Export invoice is done manually on Exel sheet.
I.e TAX invoice is nothing but excise invoice.
M lil confused at which transaction to create TAX invoice n export invoice.
Shud i go for different no. range for export invoice while creating billing doc?

Creation of Export Invoice transaction code : VA01, But we have mainatained the channel is diffrent.and we have maintained for new pricing procedure for export without taxes and excise. only for prices.discount and others for ur reqirement.

Dear all,
When I am doing excise for export under rebate, where I am doing immediate utilization.
The accounts that are getting hit are
CENVAT SUSPENSE debit
CENVAT I/P BED CREDIT
CENVAT I/P ECS CREDIT
CENVAT I/P SECESS CREDIT
Please note :- AS THIS IS AN EXPORT PROCESS AT THE TIME OF DOING THE COMMERCIAL INVOICE, THERE ARE NO EXCISE ENTRIES AS ALL THE EXCISE VALUES ARE STATISTICAL.
please let me know whether this is right.
And also please note, at the time of generating commercial invoice through VF01, the accounting entries are
CUSTOMER ACCOUNT DEBIT
SALES ACCOUNT CREDIT
HERE THERE ARE NO EXCISE ENTRIES. The Excise conditions are statistical in the pricing procedure.

Maintain Series Group - In this IMG activity, you define the different excise series groups within your company.
Series groups allow you to maintain multiple number ranges for the outgoing excise documents. Based on excise regulations and exemptions from the authorities you can maintain multiple number series for outgoing documents. But each of these series has to be declared to the excise authorities.
- Define excise series groups based on type of outgoing document
- Assign series group to excise registration ID
- If no financial postings are required for an Excise invoice in this seris group then you tick the 'No utilization' indicator.
- If the CENVAT has to be paid immediately and you need not wait for the Fort nightly payment then mark the 'Immediate Utilization' Iindicator. Example - You could define two series groups, group 001 for excise invoices, and group 002 for 57 F4 documents.
- No account postings for CENVAT in sales cycle
- No utilization Flag
If you do not need any CENVAT utilization for an excise invoice but would like to just generate an excise invoice then you need to mark this indicator.
If the flag is checked then system will create an Excise invoice in the given Series group but there will not be any account postings or Part2 postings.
Immediate Utilization of CENVAT - Specifies that when you create an excise invoice, the system immediately pays the amount from CENVAT and creates the Part II entry. Such invoices will not be listed for fortnightly utilization.
If you have both fortnightly and immediate utilization for the same excise group, the account determination within CIN IMG should point to the ED interim account.
Account determination for immediate payment will be done exactly the same as being done for fortnightly utilization program.

Hi all,
While updating the ARE-1 , there in updation it was coming Export extended until only.
Usually it should come, Sent to excise, countersigned, export confirmed etc., But these are not coming.
tHIS PROBLEM IS OCCURING ONLY IN PRODuction , but where as in development it was comming correctly.

also be aware that you can only change the itemcode if the item isn't used in a document before.

Printouts of ARE Documents
Use
You can print out ARE-1s or ARE-3s on blank A4 paper. The system prints out the entire form with the details filled in from the ARE that you have created. Since multiple copies are required of each ARE document, the system automatically prints out the number of copies needed.
Features
Country Version India comes with all the settings you need to print out ARE-1s and ARE-3s in the appropriate format. Two SAPscript forms are provided, one for ARE-1s and one for ARE-3s. These forms use the same printing program and output type. The output type is J1IB.
Activities
Customizing
Check the output type settings provided in Customizing for Logistics u2013 General, by choosing Tax on Goods Movements -->India --> Business Transactions --> Excise Bonding -->Exports Under Excise Regulations --> Printouts of ARE Documents.
Assign the output type to the ARE-1s and ARE-3s, in Customizing for Logistics u2013 General, by choosing Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Business Transactions --> Excise Bonding ® Exports Under Excise Regulations ® Make Settings for ARE-1 Procedure and u2026 --> Deemed Exports -->Make Settings for ARE-3 Procedure.
In the same activities, specify how many copies of each ARE document you want the system to print.
Day-to-Day Activities
There are two ways of printing a document, as follows:
When you post an ARE, select Print ARE Document on the Document Details tab.
Then, when you save the ARE, the system prints out the number of copies that you have specified.
When you display an ARE, choose .
Note that this function is only available in display mode.
